center yes overland mute and mute okay ready my eyes are great okay i welcome all the viewers on the peace tv network as well as the people watching us on the various social media platforms that is youtube facebook twitter and instagram i welcome all of you with the islamic greetings may the peace mercy and blessings of allah subhanahu wa of almighty god be upon all of you inshallah we'll be starting with the session ask dr thakir and his son sheikh inshallah we'll be starting with season seven session two so let's start the question answer session let's take the first question my name is yasir arafat from jasor bangladesh i'm a student is it permissible to build a statue of a famous personality without worshiping it there are several ahadees of our beloved prophet muhammad peace be upon him that prohibit us from making images but this refers to certain kind of images images of anime things prophet muhammad peace be upon him said it is mentioned sahih al-bukhari volume number seven book of dress hadees number five nine five zero that the most severe punishment that people receive on the day of judgement they will be the image makers so making images it is completely prohibited in islam and another hadith that is mentioned in sahih al-bukhari volume number seven book of dress hadees number 5951 mahalo that these people who make images they will be punished on the day of judgment and it will be said to them give life or make alive what you have created so making images it is completely prohibited in islam now making images it refers to making images of anime things for example making images of human beings making drawings of human beings drawing the distinctive features for example the eyes the ears the nose etc the same is the case with making a drawing of animal of an animal for example drawing the distinctive features of the animal their eyes their ears their nose etc so this is prohibited so making drawings it is prohibited also making images making carvings making statues all of these are prohibited and there are several hadith which prohibit this even if i agree with you for sake of argument that making images is permitted in islam who is the human being whose image needs to be made who is the human being whose image image or statute should be made first who is the most important human being it is our beloved prophet muhammad peace be upon him but his statue was not made the sahaba they did not make a statue of our beloved prophet muhammad peace be upon him so making statues making images of famous personalities it is prohibited even making a statue of our beloved prophet muhammad peace be upon him even this it is prohibited in islam so i would like to repeat making statues of anime things of human beings of animals drawing their distinctive features it is completely prohibited in islam if a person wants to make certain drawings for example of nature of trees of plants etc of mountains there is no problem in that but making a statue making a carving even if it be of a famous personality of a righteous human being it is prohibited and this is how shirk crept and came into the picture satan tempted and put it into the minds of human beings when a righteous person passed away when he died so satan tempted human beings that how will you remember this person you need to make a statue you need to make an image in order to remember this person and people started making images of their righteous predecessors and this led to shirk so initially it is only making images but later on a person starts worshiping worshipping these carvings these statues and it leads to shirk so we should abstain from making statues making images of human beings the next question assalamu alaikum my name is sabiha am from india why allah is not protecting al-aqsa masjid and other mosques as he protected the kaaba from abraham's army it is allah who has created death and life to test which of you are good in deeds this life it is a test for the hereafter and allah subhana wa tala says in the glorious quran and we shall surely test you with something of fear and hunger and some loss of lives and wealth but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere so if you patiently persevere after you have been tried after you have been tested by allah there is a great reward of waiting for you so this life it is a test for the hereafter and why did allah subhanahu talaha not protect al-aqsa if allah subhana wa tala wills he could have easily protected it but why did he not protect it for allah subhana it is very and it is and the masajid can be protected any masjid and even the operation can be stopped but it is a test for us human beings it is a test for the palestinian brothers and sisters that can they stand oppression when the israelis when the israelis they are oppressing our palestinian brothers and sisters will our palestinian brothers and sisters yet defend al-mastal aksa and if the defendant must al-aqsa if they defend this holy mosque they have a great reward awaiting from allah and those people who have given their lives in for this noble cause of protecting this holy land of protecting this holy mosque they have a great reward from allah so it is a test for the palestinian muslim brothers and sisters and the greater the test the greater the reward it is not only a test for the palestinian muslim brothers and sisters in fact it is a test for the entire muslim ummah the issue of palestine the issue of al-mastal aksa even though the oppression it is geographical it is happening in a particular place but it concerns the entire muslim ummah it is a test for the palestinian muslim brothers and sisters and it is also a test for the entire muslim ummah the least that we muslims can do is do duas for our palestinian brothers and sisters that may allah keep them steadfast on the straight path may he help them to fight against the oppression may help them to protect al-mazdal aqsa the least we can do is do dua to allah and if we muslims do not do dua that is the least that we can do we have failed in our test so the first and the most important thing is that we need to do dua the second among the things that we should do is that we should raise awareness regarding the oppression that is happening to our brothers and sisters in palestine raise awareness on social media whether it be on youtube whether it be on facebook whatever capacity we have we should raise awareness on the social media many of us we have a channel on youtube we have a facebook profile we should raise awareness on the social media the third is that we should have peaceful protests and we should follow the rules and the regulations of the country in which we are having this peaceful protest the fourth is that we should donate as much money we can for the palestinian cause we should help our brothers and sisters financially for this palestinian cause and we should always give a percentage of our wealth for the sake of allah subhana besides the mandatory zakah that we give we should also give a percentage of our wealth for the sake of allah subhanahu ta'ala and a part of this should be dedicated for the palestinian cause and the fifth is that we should boycott all israeli products so allah subhana tala if he wanted he could have very well protected muscle aksa but where is the test the test is for us human beings that after this oppression after the injustice that is happening to our palestinian muslim brothers and sisters how much do we stand up for it how much do we stand up for our palestinian muslim brothers and sisters it is a test for the palestinian muslim brothers and sisters as well as it is a test for the entire muslim ummah we pray to allah that may he make it easy for our muslim brothers and sisters in palestine and may he give them the best in this world as well as in the hereafter may allah reward all our brothers and sisters in palestine immensely for their efforts of protecting this holy land and of protecting al-master al-aqsa the next question my non-muslim friend asked me why does islam subjugate the woman by keeping her behind the way before we discuss the status of women in islam let's look at the status of women in the past civilizations if we look at the history of the greek civilization when it was it was at its peak of glory and it was considered as one of the glorious ancient civilizations they believed in an evil woman by the name of pandora who was the cause of all evil if you look at the history of the greek civilization prostitution if you look at the history of the babylonian civilization prostitution it was common and women they were looked down upon if you look at the history of the egyptian civilization women they will look down upon and the woman she was considered as an instrument of the devil if you look at the history of the roman civilization prostitution and nudity it was common if you look at the history of the arab civilization before the glorious quran was revealed many a times when a female child was born they used to bury our life alhamdulillah alhamdulillah after the revelation of the glorious quran this evil practice it has stopped in the arab lands and many people they talk about hijab for the woman allah subhanahu talaha in the glorious quran first he talks about hijab for the say to the believing man that he should lower his gaze and guard his modesty whenever any man looks at any woman if any blazing thought if any unashamed thought comes to his mind he should lower his case the next verse of surah nur chapter number 24 verse num 31 allah says say to the believing woman that she should lower her gaze and guard her modesty and display not her beauty except what is ordinary thereof and tell her to draw her wheel over bosoms and display not her beauty except in front of their husbands their fathers their sons and there's a big list of mehrams of close relatives who cannot marry there are basically six criteria for hijab that are mentioned in the glorious quran and in the authentic hadees of a blood prophet muhammad peace be upon him the first is the extent for the man and for the woman for the man it is from the navel to the knee for the woman it is a complete body should be covered the only parts that can be seen are the face and the hands up to the wrist certain scholars say that even this should be covered the remaining five criteria are same for the man and for the woman the second the clothes they wear it should be loose it should not be tight fitting the third it should not be so glamorous that attracts the opposite gender the fourth it should not be that of the opposite gender the fifth is that it should not be translucent or transparent and the sixth is that it should not resemble that of the unbeliever these are basically six criteria for hijab that are mentioned in the glorious quran and in the authentic sayings of a beloved prophet muhammad peace be upon him but this does not consist of the complete hijab you have hijab of the eyes hijab the way you walk hijab the way you talk this consists of the complete hijab and the western civilization in the name of woman liberalization they have done nothing but degraded the woman the western civilization claiming to uplift the woman they have actually degraded her to the states of concubines mistresses society butterflies which are mere tools in the hands of pleasure seekers and sex marketers which are hidden behind the colorful screen of art and culture the western civilization claiming to uplift the woman they have actually degraded her islam gave women their due right 1400 years ago allah says in the glorious quran chapter number 33 verse number 59 tell your wives and your daughters and the believing woman that when they go abroad they should put on the cloak so that they shall be recognized and it will prevent them from being molested and it will prevent them from being molested i would like to give you an example if there are twin sisters who are walking down the streets of kuala lumpur malaysia and if there's a holikan if there's a ruffian who's waiting for a catch and both these twin sisters they are equally beautiful one is dressed in the islamic hijab and the other is dressed in the mini skirts or shorts in the western attire and if there's a hooligan if there's a ruffian who's waiting for a catch who's waiting to tease a girl i'm asking the question which girl will he tease will he tease the girl in the islamic hijab or will he tease the girl in the miniskirts or shots which girl will it is but natural he will tease the girl in the miniskirts or shots you invite so you'll receive in islam we have a system of hijab the woman her complete body should be covered the only parts that can be seen at the face and hand up to the wrist and the man he should lower his case and the woman she should maintain a hijab and after that if any man rapes any woman capital punishment death penalty certain people might say death penalty such a barbaric law in this 21st century and if you happen to ask this non-muslims if you happen to ask this question to a non-muslim that god forbid if someone rapes your mother if someone rapes your sister and the rapist is bought in front of you and you are made the judge what punishment will you give this person believe me hundred percent will say we will put him to death some will go to the extent that we will torture him to death if someone rapes your mother if someone rapes your sister you want to put him to death you want to torture him to death if someone rapes someone else's mother someone else's sister you said death penalty such a barbaric law why these double standards america happening to be one of the most advanced countries in the world it has one of the highest rates it has one of the highest cases of rape according to the fbi report that is the federal federal bureau of investigation ucr uniform crime reporting in the year 2019 139 851 cases of rapes were reported the statistic says in the year 2019 139 851 cases of rapes were reported it only says regarding the cases of rapes that were reported imagine the number of cases of rapes which were unreported usa happening to be one of the most advanced countries in the world it has one of the highest number of rape cases i am asking the simple question that if you implement the islamic sharia that every woman her complete body should be covered the only parts that can be seen are the face and the hands up to the wrist and after that if any man rapes any woman capital punishment death penalty i am asking the question that will the rate of rape in america will it increase will it remain the same or will it decrease but naturally it will decrease you implement the sharia and you get results so the islamic sharia it is a practical law the moment you implement the islamic sharia you will get results wherever you implement the islamic sharia whether it be in europe whether it be in america whether it be in south africa whether it be in india the moment you implement the islamic sharia you will get results so the hijab it does not subjugate the woman it does not oppress the woman but it rather uplifts the woman and it protects the woman we will take the next question the next question is assalamu alaikum i am arshad from kashmir india due to some reason if we could not pray on time and it is time for the next prayer so the prayer we couldn't pray can we pray it later on as far as missing our first salah is concerned there are two scenarios the first is when a person misses his first salah intentionally the second is wherein a person he misses his first salah unintentionally for example due to over sleep due to forgetfulness etc if a person misses his salah intentionally it is a sin it is not only a sin but it is a major sin and according to imam dahabi he writes in his book al-qabayan the seventy major sins he says that missing salah it is the fourth major sin so even if you miss a single father salah intentionally it is a major sin so we should take utmost precaution that we offer our five daily prayer the second scenario as i mentioned is when a person misses his salah unintentionally due to forgetfulness due to oversleep etc if a person misses salah unintentionally inshallah allah subhanahu ta'ala he will forgive this person as a beloved prophet muhammad peace be upon him said that my ummah has been excused from forgetfulness so if a person totally forgets regarding offering salah for example he forgets to offer the zohar prayer inshallah allah subhana wa he will forgive him but unfortunately many muslims when they think about this unintentional missing of prayer for example due to oversleep they take it for granted and they oversleep many a times for example in a month maybe six times seven times etc or maybe 10 times this is totally unacceptable a person he should take all the precautions so that he does not miss his prayer and after that if once in a while once in a blue moon if a person misses his prayer then inshallah allah subhanahu ta'ala he will forgive him a person he should take all the precautions for example if a person wants to get a for the fajr prayer he should take all the precautions for example putting several alarms sleeping on time if a person is gets up does not get up for the fajr prayer for example in a month for example 10 times so he should change his sleeping pattern a person he goes to sleep late and then he misses fajr prayer this is totally unacceptable if a person is sleeping for five hours and if he's missing his fajr prayer he should increase the sleeping time so we should take all the precautions so that we do not miss any of the five daily prayers including the morning prayer that is the fajr prayer and the first thing that will be questioned among the deeds on the day of judgment it is salah if it is perfect the remaining deeds they will follow so we should take uttermost precaution that we do not miss our five daily prayer and for the men we should see to it that we pray the five daily prayer in congregation in the masjid if we cannot due to the situation of the pandemic so we should the least we should try to do is at least pray the salah in congregation at home if the masajid if the masjid are closed and if you have missed a particular prayer so you should offer it as soon as you remember so for example if you miss the fajr prayer and you realize later on for example the fajr time gets over for example at 6 45 a.m 6 45 a.m is sunrise and you get up at 8 00 am in the morning and you miss your fajr prayer so the moment you realize that you have missed your fajr prayer the moment you remember you should offer your father fajr prayer immediately without delaying it you should not wait until the zohar prayer and then you join and you pray the fajr prayer and then the prayer and for example if you missed your doha prayer and you remember that you have missed your azoha prayer at the time of asar salah at the time of us or prayer so now what should you do should you offer assad prayer first and then do her prayer or should you offer the rohar prayer first if you have missed any prayer you need to offer that miss prayer first so if you have mr zohar prayer and if you remember that you have missed the prayer at assad time so first you should offer the zohar prayer and then you should offer the assad prayer you should follow the order first offer the zohar prayer then you should offer the assad prayer so if you have missed any prayer you should see to it that you make up for this prayer as soon as possible and as soon as you remember that you have missed the prayer we will take the last question assalamu alaikum my name is islam i am from murshidabad india is it haram to take homopathic medicines because it contains alcohol as far as homeopathic medicines is concerned we do know that it contains alcohol and allah subhana wa clearly says in the glorious quran in surah chapter 5 verse number 19. o who believe in most certainly intoxicants and gambling while unsolvable islam dedication of stones divination of arrows shaitaan are an abomination from satan's handiwork abstain from such abomination that you may prosper alcohol it is clearly prohibited in islam we should abstain from alcohol as far as homopathic medicines are concerned they do contain alcohol so we should abstain from taking such tablets we should not take these tablets these homeopathic tablets that contain alcohol and unfortunately many people they take homeopathic tablets wherein there are substitutes there are alternatives but yet they take homopathic tablets we have other alternatives like allopathy and other tablets so we should take these alternatives but if in a situation wherein homopathy is the only tablet that can save your life and there is no other tablet that can save your life so in this situation it is permitted for you to take homopathic tablets because it is a case of necessity it is a case of life and death but generally a person should abstain and should not take homopathic tablets and there are several other alternatives that a person can take other tablets and he should not take the homopathic tablets so this was the limited time that we had today and inshallah after a few minutes break the remaining part of the session will be continued by my father dr zakir naik i would like to end this session alhamdulillah again you okay very simple um uh okay uh okay i welcome all the viewers of the peace tv network the phd english the peacht vurdu the phd bangla and the peace tv chinese as well as my social media platforms which are the facebook the youtube the instagram the twitter and the alidah platform i welcome all the viewers with islamic greetings mercy and blessings of allah of almighty god be on all of you i welcome you to this program ask dr zakir and his son sheikh farik season seven session two i would like to thank farik for handling the first part of the program and now we begin the second part of the program here you're most welcome to ask any questions on islamic comparative religion or any question which a non-muslim may have posed and you are unable to reply this is the opportunity you can ask a question on any of my social media platform but the best would be to ask as a subscriber on ali daya or on the whatsapp as a text message mentioning your question in brief along with your name your profession the country and city of origin to the whatsapp number plus six zero double one two one double three double three six zero and inshallah we'll take the first question the first question is my name is ahmad tariq an engineering student from egypt who built al-aqsa mosque according to islam as far as who built the al-mas the al aqsa mosque is concerned their different opinion some say it is some say it is the sun some say it islam some say sulaiman islam but as far as the say hadith concern there are two hadith in bukhari and muslim in like it's the highest category of hadith according to say bukhari volume number 4 hadith number 3366 as well as a muslim volume 2 hadith number 1161 huraman allah be peace with him he asked the messenger of allah that which was the first mosque built on the surface of the earth and he replied the masjid al-haram in makkah then abu hurairah may be pleased with the mosque which mosque was next and the prophet replied must be the laksa then the mosque what was the span between the building of both this mosque and the prophet replied 40 years so this hadith is a say hadith available in bukhari as well as muslim which is the highest category of say hadith so based on this hadith the opinion of the scholars that maldidaksa was built by either adam al-salam be upon him or one of his sons is the more correct opinion there's also say hadith number 1408 where the prophet peace be upon him said that sulaiman bin daoud solomon salam the son of thou that he asked allah for three things give judgment which matches his judgment a dominion which none will have after me and anyone who comes to masjid aksa solely to pray forgive all his sin as though he will be newborn from the womb of your mother and the prophet replied that the first two prayers of thou they salaam of suleiman in salam was accepted and i pray and i hope that even the third is fulfilled so based on this we come to know that solomon islam he rebuilt the masjid aqsa but the first person who built was either thousands the first person who built was was either adamant or one of his sons and then it was rebuilt by solomon assalam and you know history later on many people came the christians the jews they had control of the aqsa the area and there were the historical records how it was demolished and again rebuilt and for that you can listen to my talk on the virtue of the masjid aksa which gives the details the second question assalamu alaikum welcome i am a young girl from bangladesh and i am a university student i am a born muslim i have seen many videos on the youtube that miracles happened to many muslims and they are accepting christianity i really do not think so also many videos showed that cancer have been healed by the name of their god in one video one girl said she and her whole family was muslim her brother had a very dangerous disease one day some people came from the church and he was healed i really do not know whether these videos are true or not i am losing my mind sir i do not want to go far from allah subhana wa in islam but instantly this comes to my mind how could it ever be possible this continues i don't want to think about it but it keeps coming i do not know what to do please answer me sir please what should i do please sir this young girl from bangladesh she was perturbed after seeing some videos on youtube about christian missionaries healing and curing disease of many muslims will it accept islam and she's asking is it true or not the reply to this question is given in the bible in the gospel of matthew chapter number 24 verse number 24 where jesus christ peace be upon him says there are many false there will arise many false christs and false prophets who shall do wonders and signs and if it were possible will deceive the very elect that means jesus christ is telling in the bible in the gospel of matthew chapter number 24 verse number 24 there shall arise many false christs and false prophets and shall do wonders and signs will do miracles and if it were possible shall deceive the very elect that means the elected people the apostles even the intellectual people they will deceive so miracle according to the bible and according to jesus christ peace be upon him is not the test regarding a question that is it true that these miracles happen and if you go on the on on the search engine on google or on youtube and you type miracle healing or faith healing you will find umpteen numbers of christian missionaries evangelists who do faith healing also known as miracle healings and some of them are very popular like morris cerello and benihin and all of these people who claim that they heal people in the name of jesus christ peace be upon him etc all of them are fake we do believe that allah heals and quran says shafi it is he who cures and there's no doubt about it so as far as all the religions whether it be christianity hinduism islam but they believe that god heals the true god and we agree with that but to say that if you take the name of jesus christ peace be upon him and you will be healed and you see that in big rallies where these tele evangelists or these miracle healers or faith healers they have large gatherings of tens of thousands of people hundreds of thousands of people and they call a person from the audience and a person may be crippled and he starts walking and a person who can say he get cured all of this is fake god cures we believe in that but curing in the name of jesus christ peace be upon him and just saying hallelujah and in the name of jesus you get cured and you find a man whose starts walking and a man who has got cancer get cured and a person who is diseased suddenly starts becoming healthy all of this is fake and to know this in the same google search or on youtube you can type that miracle healing christian miracle healing exposed or fake miracle healing export and you will find many articles as well as many videos on the youtube and documentaries which expose how these people fool the people and you find in many of the documentaries available on the youtube available on the google search engine that most of these almost all they are staged they are the own people coming and saying they get healed or when the documentaries are made they go in the public and they see in the front row there is a person who's sitting with a stick and the healer he comes and he catches hand of the person and says come in the name of jesus christ and he gets them on the stage and he starts walking the real point to be noted is that the stick was in between two people sitting the person who was lame was on the left of the stick the healer picks up the man on the right of the stick and gets him on the stage but naturally the christian will not say that i'm healthy in the old frenzy that is there they come and they start walking and they start screaming so all of this is 100 fake and i always say that if they really want to heal the people who are sick the best place to go is the hospital and i've been a medical doctor since my days of medical college as to tell these christian missionaries that why don't you come to the hospital come to the hospital where i'm there and you'll get ready-made customers there are umpteen number of people who are diagnosed terminally ill cancer they have got so many diseases all you have to come is come to the hospital pray for them in the name of jesus peace be upon him and if they are healed you will get an immediate converts what they do is in the public they do a lot of publicity and you have many of such christian healers it is nothing but deceit in the name of christianity and i have given a talk earlier many years back defeat in christian evangelism and i've touched on this topic also that how these people and those i mean there are different levels of faith healers and miracle healers some on the lower level some on the medium level some on the higher level and those on the high level they are worth hundreds of millions of dollars it is more of a money-making racket where the high-level faith healers most of them they have got private jet planes and that's how they travel and they keep on traveling in different parts of the world and when they travel they do so much publicity and even in india i remember many years back when benny hinn had come to bombay no one knew benny hit but the amount of publicity they did few weeks or a couple of months before he came full page ads and he had hundreds of thousands of people they claimed more than two million people came but when i asked the additional commission of police who was in charge of the event he told me two hundred thousand but this is how they exaggerate and they create a big hype and what you have to note that really if they want to cure today we know from the last month in one year there is a covered 19 pandemic throughout the world so this christian healers if they travel throughout the world killing curing all the coveted 19 patient we won't require the lockdown there will not be loss of trillions of dollars and the maximum number of faith healers that you have today in the usa the christian missionaries and the maximum number of deaths in any country in the world it is in usa the maximum number of cases of kovac 19 is in usa the maximum number of death is in usa and the country has gone in loss of hundreds of billions and trillions of dollars so can't these faith healers approach previously maybe trump not maybe biden and say why are you spending all these trillions of dollars we have you know the solution just pray in the name of jesus all these will be healed so what we realize that all of this is just a money-making racket and as far as science that tells us that there are certain things which is like something belief in faith and a person who believes in certain things it does make an effect for example if a person believes that he's sick and requires an injection he goes to the doctor and says i want an injection i am sick the doctor knows that injection is not required what he does the doctor gives an injection of glucose that's known as a placebo and the patient is cured or the patient says i want that red tablet only if i take that red tablet will i get cured so doctor gives him the red tablet it is more of a placebo effect placebo means sometimes the people have faith in certain things and that faith in that faith if they have a problem they don't realize the problem so in such a situation where they have large gatherings etc there is a frenzy there is an atmosphere where certain things which are there it gets suppressed because of the atmosphere and this is common if you have a bigger problem the smaller problem is forgotten if you have a situation where a person says okay we start shouting and they start screaming so for that moment for that few minutes there can be a possibility that the person may feel good this is a different part it's a part of medical science but generally curing terminally ill people etc it all these things what the christian missionaries do in the name of faith healing and medical healing is a big fast it is fake but we do agree the ultimate person to cure is allah and all the religions believe in this even islam believes but islam at the same time says chapter 16 verse 43 and sorry ambia chapter number 21 verse number seven that if you don't know as the person is an expert so if you're sick what you have to do you have to go to a doctor and the doctor will cure you it cursed is the doctor he can cure through a doctor if he wants he can curve without a doctor he can cure in various ways within a second within a few minutes within days that depends upon allah finally he cures so we believe in that but these christian missionaries and miracle healers they all this what the stage is fake otherwise the best they should do is go to hospital and cure the terminal people and cure the patient of covered 19 the world will be a better place and they cannot do that that's the reason i'll tell the sister that go on the youtube search for documentaries exposing these and you will find many documentaries on the youtube and when you see some of half an hour some of a few minutes some are longer they will show you the tactics how these christian missionaries use to fool the people hope that answers the question okay the next question muhammad bulbul shakib a student from bangladesh assalamualaikum walakum assalam what does islam say about reading fictions i often read novels sometimes in some of the novels i find there are writings that describe intimate scenes between two characters which sometimes i read unknowingly is it okay to read these before i reply to this question i would like to give the general ruling as far as reading any book is concerned reading any book is concerned can be categorized into four categories number one books which are mustahab or encouraging islam to read number two books which are muba that is permissible third is books which are makru which are discouraged and fourth are books which are haram books which are mustafa are those books which take you towards allah and the best book i can think is the quran then the say hadith of the prophet any islamic books that gets you closer to rashford or it may be a non-islamic book talking about science and technology and with it you come to understand the signs of allah subhanahu ta'alah even that are muslim number two those books which don't get you closer to allah neither does it break any rules of the sharia and doesn't take you away from allah may be general books talking about mathematics etc so these books will come under the mubarak category that is permissible third a books which are macro those which do not benefit you at all may be a waste of time and the fourth categories are those books which are haram and those book which take you away from allah those books which take you towards things which are haram in the islamic sharia as far as fiction books are concerned the fiction books most of them they either fall in the haram category or the macro category few may fall into the muba or the muslim category most of the books are fiction either the haram or the makuru haram means if they may be promoting any book which promotes things which are haram like for example pornography then it is hara or maybe it's promoting those things which are against the teaching of islam there are some fiction books which promote black magic and you know black magic is the third major in islam so reading books which promote black magic which is the third major sin in islam it is haram to eat such books you may get entertained you may enjoy you may feel happy but if it's promoting things which are haram which against the sharia then it's not permitted some fiction books like mills and boons they promote romance between two adults male and female namaram haram activities it's totally haram even the book that you mentioned the fiction book where you find two adults in intimate scene talking about love making etc such books are totally haram you cannot say that sometime it appears unknowingly so all these books which promote things which are haram like promote gambling like promote pornography promote shirk or promote black magic these books come into haram category there are some fiction books which may not directly talk about haram but it's a waste of time no benefit it becomes an addiction so this comes in under the macro category some fiction books may be muba which may get some type of education though it may not get you closer to to islam but may improve your english and does not waste your time so may come in the bhuba category as long as it doesn't contain anything which is the islamic sharia and some though very few maybe fiction books talking about someone how to compromise allah and while giving a fictitious story may get a person closer to allah may quote some most of the quran of the hadith so this may come in the muslim category but generally most of the fiction book that's available in the market either it's haram or it's makuru few come under the moba category and some if it islamically oriented may be mustafa but the book that you're mentioning fiction whether there's intimate scene etc such books like muslim boons etc these are haram for muslims to read hope that answers the question on the facebook we have isha to jaharu sultana may allah bless you too shammi mandal i love you dr knight for sake of allah i love you too imran ahmed assalam alaikum alaikum salman ahmad i love you zakir naik you're the best i love you too we have on the youtube adam nadir marina foreign [Music] the next question my name is india is it for not to eat sweet after having food or meal kindly explain many muslims think that it is sunnah to eat sweet after the meal or after food and the prophet ate sweet dishes and they keep on saying very often it's commonly felt in the muslim ummah especially in the indian subcontinent but as far as my knowledge goes i have not heard of any say hadith in which the prophet ever said that eat sweet after your meal or the prophet said that it is preferable to eat a sweet dish after your food yes the prophet loved dates and he ate dates but to say that eating a sweet dish after a meal is sunnah it is wrong and if someone eats a sweet dish thinking into sunnah that is wrong if he eats its muba he can eat but if he thinks it is a sunnah and then he eats that is wrong that will be bizarre but eating generally if he wants it is permissible it is mumba there is no hadith the quranic was saying that you cannot eat sweet so generally eating is moba but thinking it is soon and then eating that would be wrong hope that answers the question a student from agra up india please share your views on the new curriculum of saudi arabia as per the new curriculum ramayana and mahabharata is added to the syllabus what is the purpose of saudi arabia behind this a similar question asked by shakir ahmad a businessman from mumbai india i heard in the news that saudi arabia will teach hinduism as well as ramayana and mahabharata in the education system is it not haram for a muslim country or organization to teach hinduism to muslim students or anyone else regarding the question that is it permissible for a muslim country or muslim organization to teach hinduism or ramayana or mahabharata to muslim students or anyone else and what is the purpose of saudi arabia to introduce hinduism rahman and mahabharata into the syllabus the reply to this question is based on the first hadith of buhari volume 1 had this one which says that the prophet said your actions are judged by the intention as far as a muslim organization or institute teaching ramayan or mabara to the muslim student it depends upon the intention many may not be aware but i'll tell you that in my school in bombay islamic international school we used to teach raman and mahabharata but what was the purpose our purpose was intention was to make the students dies so that they could convey the message of islam to the non-muslims so is to teach bible we used to teach hinduism literary christianity we should read your mind mahabharata veda but our purpose was based on the verse of the race quran from al-imran chapter number three verse number 64 he says of the book come to come in terms has been us and you which is the first term that we worship that we associate the partners that we erect not among ourselves lords and peace other than allah find the one law if then they turn back witness ben namaste moon that we are muslims bowing over to allah so allah subhanahu ta'ala gives us guidance in the quran that when you are doing dhawa to the non-muslims through the kitab or to the other non-muslims the one of the best ways of doing dawah is tala kalimat in sawa in bayern munich come to common terms as we ascend you which is the first term that we worship so our purpose of teaching the non-muslim scriptures to our students in islamic international school was to acquit equip them with the knowledge of the scriptures of the non-muslims so that they could devour to them a main purpose was to get them closer to allah number one is tahit so when we taught them that our mind the mama the vedas we taught them that in the scriptures actually god is one but we tell them that the major difference between a common hindu and the common muslim is the common hindu believes that everything is god the sun is god the moon is god the tree is god the man is god the snake is god what we muslims believe a common muslim believes that everything is god's g.o.d with an apostrophe s everything belongs to god the sun belongs to god the moon belongs to god the tree belongs to god the mean belongs to god the snake belongs to god so the major difference between the hindu common hindu and the muslim is the common the belief everything is god we muslim believe that everything is god's deodo with apostrophes if we can solve this difference of apostrophe s then do then the muslim will be united so our purpose was to point from the hindu scriptures that actually the hindu scriptures speak about tahit but the pandits and the common hindus they are taught about idol worship they are taught about worshiping fake god so we want to get them closer to islam so we teach them the quotation we talk about tahith we talk about similarities the various different similarities that talk about the coming of the last and final messenger then we say that in the hindu scriptures it says that you should not have alcohol quran said that hindu scripture says that hindu shouldn't have alcohol then the scriptures say should not gamble the quran says they should not gamble and various similarities and i've written a book on similarities between islam and hinduism so if the purpose of the muslim institution or the muslim organization or the muslim country is to see to it that you win over the hindus and get them closer to islam or train the muslims how to do dawah to the hindus then teaching this hindu scriptures is mustahab but if your intention is we want to be secular and we want to show to the world that okay no problem whether you're a hindu or a muslim and you want to treat the religion as though it is one of the valid religions in the world then teaching hinduism in that institution is haram so it depends upon india i don't know what is the name of saudi arabia i am not the spokesperson but if the nia is to teach mahabharat and and rahman and hindu scriptures to teach the muslim students how to do dawah to the hindu that's good and there are many hindus in saudi arabia there are about 10 million expatriates out of which more than 4 million indians out of which approximately one and a half to two million may be hindus so if the intention is to see to it that when they teach this in the education system and get these people towards tahit stop the ideal worship so they come and worship one allah then alhamdulillah i'm for them but if the intention is okay we want to show that we are becoming secular and we don't mind you can follow any religion it is going against the verse of the quran of surah imran chapter 3 verse number 19 which says the only religion acceptable in the sight of allah is islam allah clearly says in the quran in sorry imran chapter 3 verse number 185 surah imran chapter 3 verse 25 that allah will not accept any other religion except islam anyone who follows any other religion besides islam it will never be accepted of him and he will be amongst the losers so basically it depends upon your intention these are the two extreme things one which want to make you die and one which just wants to show that they are secular so if you want to show a secular and we believe that all religions are no problem all religion the same it is haram there may be a position that someone wants to teach a religion and want to show the superiority of islam and they try the level best if that becomes mustard or if they try and they are not able to achieve it also then we will move on but to just to show that we are secular and we believe all any religion can be followed and there is no problem we we don't mind any human being following any religion then teaching such a religion in your country or in your school on your institution according to the glorious quran surah imran chapter 3 verse number 19 and surah chapter 3 verse 35 it is you are asking me what is the purpose of saudi arabia i said i don't know if they appoint teachers to teach hinduism who are qualified muslim teachers in comparative religion then you know that the purpose is to convey the message of islam but if they appoint hindu teachers who are practicing hindus and teaching these religion then surely that purpose will not be amongst the good it will be among showing secularism so depending who the teacher is how they teach which books do they follow if they keep my book for example similarities between islam and hinduism no problem you will very well come to know what is the intention but if they keep only teach you rahman and bhabha and get a teacher to tell you the story as though it's accepted somewhat similar to the quran knows billah then it is haram so it depends upon who are the teachers what are they teaching we give to our students bhagavad-gita we give to our students our mind but we give to them verses we tell them there's no need of memorizing the full mahabharat or the full rahman because in hinduism amongst the religions the major world religions the maximum voluminous scriptures that are there it's in hinduism umpteen number there's vedas then then the upanishads then there are manufacturing or many so if and we train we give our training programs to our students in islamic international school and inshallah very shortly maybe in the next few months by the end of this year there is a course that will come on the alidah platform similarities between islam and hinduism and first time when i gave this lecture people thought what is this how can there be similarities and many muslims against me and i wouldn't blame them because they may not be aware but when they heard my lecture mashallah i mean after that no one said that this lecture is wrong this course inshallah would be coming on the alidah platform very soon maybe after three four months and in the dhawa training program it will be more in detail but the nowadays program as i told earlier it's 300 hours it will take about about four years for the full course to be released on the halida platform and hinduism will come in the second half of the course so it'll take more than more than two years i think but the course a short course similarities on hinduism islam would be available on the platform very soon inshallah in the next few months so regarding saudi arabia we will come to know when the syllabus out what books have they kept for the students if they keep books of those dyes which are well versed in conveying the message to hindus and if they want any of my help i am always available i'm available i i can surely chat to them uh a syllabus what they can teach in their schools if they want to be on the category of the must-have category of teaching these hindu scriptures or the bible i'll be more than more than happy to help them so regarding the intention i don't know but i've given you the ruling that whether it's permissible or not hope that answers the question okay um next question assalamu alaikum profession salesman from rawalpindi pakistan my company deducts provident fund from my salary on a monthly basis and contributes to it some amount there are three options for this policy number one company will contribute on interest earnings number two company will contribute with sharia company will contribute to sharia compliance number three don't want to invest in product fund i selected the second option please tell if this is halal if this is halal or haram as people said you don't know how they are earning and they only say to sharia but in actual it is interest [Music] as far as the question is concerned that the brother from pakistan has asked a question that is working in a company and in the sales man and the company deducts part a small portion of his salary as far away fund and the company adds from their side a small portion additional and the three options that you can let this fund from both the side go into interest earning or into sharia compliance earning or third you don't want to involve empowerment fund and he has chosen the second is it permitted i feel the second option is the best option choosing the first option in which there's interest earnings it is haram as allah clearly says in the quran in surah chapter 2 verse number 2 17-79 that give up your demands of rabbi and if anyone who does not give up the demands of riba take notice of a war from unlikely soul so dealing with interest rabbi is haram the first option is totally haram the second is the best that you invest in sharia compliant investments and your friend said that they say it shared a complaint but it is not what should i do for this you have to see who is on the sharia board when anyone claims that it is a sharia compliant investment there's always the sharia board and alhamdulillah in pakistan you have great scholars who are highly qualified in the islamic finance and one of the best scholars is in pakistan is one of the greatest scholars living today in terms of islamic finance so if you have people like him or some other scholar with authentic on the sharia board you can safely opt for the second and even if they claim it is sharia and if they deceive you they had fallen at you unless you don't know for sure that they are saying they share their compliance is not then you can avoid otherwise if you know top scholars you can easily go if you don't know yet you can invest you don't have to believe in here say that you know it's not sharia compliant because if they try to deceive you that fault not you unless you have proof that they're really investing in interest-based investments then you can abstain from it and then choose the third option third option is muba but generally of course there are many sharia compliant investments available in pakistan and there are many islamic finance boards and islamist scholars so i feel the best option would be second unless you have proof that a company is trying to deceive you hope that answers the question the next question i calculate zakat annually on the first of ramadan i give some amount during ramadan and try to keep some funds to be dispersed during the year that is until next first ramadan reason i feel that zakat is mostly distributed in hence i aim to hold and give zakat funds during the next 11 months kindly advise if that is okay you are in the question that you calculate zakat on the first law ramnan there is no problem and then you give only part of it in the month of ramadan and the balance you give in the span of next 11 months till the first ramadan so that you can distribute it and you can choose the right people select the people is it permissible no it's not permissible you cannot delay giving your sakat if you have calculated that you your zakat due on the first of ramadan see to it you give immediately a few days or a couple of weeks no problem till you find the right person but you cannot say that i will give after one month or two months leave aside 11 months suppose there is some wealth that you have you have got in the month of rajab you cannot say when rajab comes okay i'll wait for a few months and in ramadan i'll give that's not possible okay if you got the wealth in the second half of shaban and then next second half of shaban one lunar year is completed and zakat is due and then you say okay i'll wait for a couple of days till ramadan comes it is acceptable you cannot delay giving your zakat unless you're a valid reason that okay you don't have liquid cash on the spot or maybe you could not find the right poor people to give but generally zakat should be given every lunar year and once you calculate it it should be given immediately within the next few days or a couple of weeks you cannot delay it for too long regarding a question that many people given ramna and so i want to spread it out over the year it's very good in that case i would advise you that this ramzan if you have calculated give everything in the month of ramadan and you know approximately that every year approximately how much the car to give if this year you gave approximately five thousand dollars so next year also will be approximate five thousand dollars or would be six thousand or would be four thousand so whatever wealth you have on which you calculate zakat you may have an idea so what you can do you can give zakat in advance but this year what you have calculated give everything as soon as possible if you calculate the first of ramadan that is good no problem because when you calculated on one particular day irrespective video of the year it is there is no chance that you will give less zakat you will either give correct amount or you may give little bit more because if you keep on calculating every day when you got the wealth and was the wealth with you for one year or not that is extremely difficult okay did you give this month on which month you got in shamban you got in rajab you got in hajj and then you wait very difficult so if you take any one particular day of the lunar year and people normally keep rama it's very good alhamdulillah it's a month of blessings you get more sabha it's no harm at all you can take any particular one day of the year when you take one particular day irrespective whether the wealth becomes less or more on the other days surely if you take one particular day every year you'll either give exact amount or you'll get a little bit more you'll never give less so calculation of first ramadan is good alhamdulillah can be done giving throat there also is good alhamdulillah many people do that but what you should do you should give in advance this ramadan given ramadan now you know that you're going to give 5000 or ten thousand dollars approximately give that amount distributed over the year no problem and then when you calculate when namdan comes and you come to know that your zakat actually was six thousand dollars you only paid five thousand dollars very well you can give the extra one thousand dollars or if your thought is going to be five thousand dollar and you calculate it and give only four thousand dollars thinking will give one thousand dollar in ramadan and when you really calculate it on the first term from instead of five it turns out to be six then what do you do you give two thousand dollars a month of no problem or hypothetically if your zakat reduces and now you come to know your actual zakat on calculation is only four thousand dollars and you have already spent the complete five thousand dollars no problem you can carry for the one thousand dollars for next year zakat so there is no harm at all giving throughout the year and many of the rich businessmen they give the zakat throughout the year major portion or a bigger portion they given them that but throughout there they distribute but the right ruling is you should give in advance giving in advance is acceptable giving late is not acceptable unless it's a valid sharia reason that you could not find the poor people or maybe you had some liquid crunch or something like that but just a crunch is not sufficient you can you can liquidate your other asset if you have to give so delaying is not at all acceptable but giving in advance is permitted so if you want to give throughout the year see to it you give the zakat in advance and the balance you can add in the month of ramadan or if you have think you have given more then you can carry forward it for the next year zakah hope that answers the question my name is aisha from pakistan tea and coffee have nicotine is it haram why or why not nicotine is a substance presence in cigarette tobacco that can lead to a lot of disease the question asked by sister aisha pakistan is that tea contains nicotine and nicotine is there in in cigarettes etc and cause my disease so is having tea haram or halal before i reply to this question i would like to tell the sister and the audience that you will be shocked to know that many vegetables also have nicotine even potato have nicotine even tomato and nicotine even eggplant brinjal has the protein even cauliflower and so question should have been that is having tomato or potato or cauliflower or brinjal haram halal anyway you need not be so shocked as far as the ruling is concerned that smoking cigarette is 100 haram there are many scholars and i've given a lecture on that and my answer is long so i won't repeat into why cigarette smoking is haram but there are more than 400 fatwas that tobacco and smoking cigarette is haram and according to world health organization more than 6 million people die every year only because of smoking cigarettes so there's no doubt even whether a muslim or non-muslim they agree that smoking is injurious to health and that's the reason almost all the countries it's compulsory that even if they sell cigarettes it's mentioned there that smoking cigarette injuries dwell so i won't go into the details of why sarah you can listen to my answer by smoking salaam will come to the main question that if nicotine is in tobacco and tobacco is mainly where we smoke cigarettes so if that is haram is t haram as far as nicotine is concerned nicotine is present in the tobacco and tobacco is used for smoking which is haram undoubtedly nicotine is also present in the potatoes tomatoes brinjal khalifa but the point to be noted is it is present in trace amounts negligible amount as compared to tobacco when you smoke a cigarette one cigarette when you smoke it contains about 10 milligrams of nicotine and when you smoke a cigarette about 2 milligram on every cigarette not too big not too small and every cigarette 2 milligram of nicotine is inhaled as far as t is concerned in t in one gram of tea depending upon the type of tea if it's a regular tea it contains 285 nanograms of nicotine that is less than three micrograms of nicotine that is point zero zero zero zero two eight five grams in one gram of tea and one gram of tea is about half teaspoon so percentage-wise it will be point zero zero zero two eight five percent which is negligible means it will be negligible zero to up to 285 nanograms that means negligible if it is black tea it may be up to 100 nanograms that is one one micrograms point zero zero zero zero one gram in percentage wise point zero zero zero one percent which is negligible so the nicotine that is there in tea or whether it be the vegetables i have named it is not haram because number one it is in trace amounts it is negligible for example brinjal brinjal it said that when you have brinjal if you have 20 kilos of brinjal then that will be equivalent to somewhat one cigarette smoking when you smoke a cigarette two milligrams of nicotine you will require 20 kilos now i don't know you can eat 20 kilos together so point number one it's and benjal is one of the vegetables which is higher than tomato and potato is much less all the trace amounts so number one point to be noted that why it is not haram because it's available in trace amounts number two that t when you boil t for five minutes approximately fifty percent only get dissolved into the tea you have so as it is then trace amount if you boil for five minutes maximum fifty percent get result number two number three the absorption of nicotine into the body with tea of the vegetables i told is completely different than smoking a cigarette when you smoke a cigarette in 10 to 20 seconds that nicotine it reaches the brain immediately when you take a puff within 10 to 20 seconds the smoke goes into the lung and from the lung it reaches the brain in 10 to 20 seconds on average when you have t depending upon the amount of tea you have and the quantity and the type of tea on average if you have one cup of maybe 250 ml a large glass of tea it takes 45 minutes for the tea to go from your stomach into the intestine so by the time it's absorbed it takes too long this is point number three point number four the nicotine that you have in tea or the vegetables it is not addictive whereas the nicotine by smoking it reaches the brain immediately and addictive so based on these four scientific reasons that is available in trace amounts even if the absorption of the tea in the water is less than 50 number number three is that the way it is absorbed is different than smoking the nicotine goes directly into the brain and number four the nicotine in tea is not addictive and even the nicotine that is in the potato and in the and in the tomato in the brinjal in the cauliflower all are in trace amounts it is not addictive at all it is not harmful for health at all no scientific research has ever told that the nicotine present in the potato or in the cauliflower or in the tea is harmful yes if you have anything excessively that's a different thing so what is harmful that if you have tea along with sugar and if you have diabetes then the doctors say don't have tea but they say no problem in have having black tea or having tea without milk so milk having excessive if you have certain diseases or having sugar sugar is good for health but if you have diabetes it's not good so if you have diabetes doctor does not ft not because of the nicotine because of the sugar but t per se is totally halal it's not addictive there are no health problems as far as nicotine is concerned hope that answers the question therefore it's not haram it's perfectly halal and if there are stimulants in tea or in coffee when you have it keeps you awake and that is good and permissible it's not addictive hope that answers the question next question assalamu alaikum doctor my name is ahmad i am a cashier from saskatoon canada i would like to know the ruling on wiping face after dua is it permissible some say it's an innovation could you please explain jazakallah as far as the ruling on wiping the faith after dua is it permissible or not there is difference of opinion amongst the scholars one group of scholars mean humbly school of thought and the salafist they say that the say hadith they talk about the prophet raising the hand in dua but there's no say hadith which says that the prophet wiped the face after the dua they say there are few hadith but all of them are safe based on that wiping the face after dua should not be done and your various fatwas you have the fatwa of sheikh mohammed sal ibn who says that there are a few hadith which say that you should wipe your face on the face after dua wipe your hand on the face after dua but all of them are naif so therefore you should not wipe your face after dua according to islam he too says that and those hadith that say you should wipe your faith with your hand after dua they aren't enough evidence to say that they are sahih so even sheikh al-islam ibrahim says it is not correct to wipe the face with your hand after the dua according to albany also that the hadith which says that you should wipe your face with the hand the other is and sheikh al is been he says that only an ignorant person will wipe his face after so here we have one group of scholars who have the opinion that the hadith is safe and therefore should not wipe your face and some say only ignorant will do some say it's a buddha on the other hand you have another group of scholars and both the groups they have stalwarts you have hanafi scholars shafi scholars who say that the hadith of wiping the face after dua is assai hadid according to imam annabi he writes in his book al-tahiki and you give various arguments that why it is mustahab to wipe your face with your hands after dwa and he gives this reason then according to him this hadith is a hadith even half of the nihilist scholar who compiled bulukal maram he writes in bulgar maram and quotes hadith and with the prophet after using his hand he wiped his face with the hands and half of the hajjar may allah mostly on him he says that though this hadith by itself may not be magbul but along with other collaborative hadith it becomes hassan hassan is the lowest category of mugball hadith on the sahay category below the say is the hassan but it's a magbul hadith that means it can be given as evidence and even if you read the fatwa of of imam sanani in in his shara abu hulmaram he writes there that this hadith is accepted so you have difference of opinion among the scholars and masha'allah on both the sides they are stalwarts all these are top scholars they are not you know you have on one side the albany alhamdulillah on the other side you have imam navi hafiz imam sanani great scholars so what you have to realize that here among the scholars their different opinion and when there is such a wise difference and the thing is very the difference is very less and on both the side of the top scholars i personally agree with the view of sheikh bin mas when sheikh bin was may allah mercy on him without this question that can you wipe your face with your hands after dua so he gives inifatwa in his reply that among the scholars the difference of opinion whether you can wipe your face after dua with your hands or not [Music] and he says that there are scholars who say that it is mustaf to wipe your face after the dua with your hands and the other scholars say that this hadith which talks about wiping their face it is so he says that if someone wipes his hands over his face after dua there is no harj there is no problem but if you do not do it it is ourselves so i personally believe that such great scholars they are differing so i personally would not call wiping your face with your hands after dua i would not say that you are ignorant i would believe in the fatwa of sheikh bin baaz that if you wipe after dua your face with your hands there is no problem but if you abstain from it it is observed hope that answers the question um foreign the next question i am ali sadiq from manchester uk and i am a student because of corvette 19 all the prayer rooms in colleges have been closed and i am struggling to fulfill my prayer i tried to talk with the school but they didn't agree on opening the prayer room lots of other students also struggling what should we do brother sadiq has asked a very important question especially in this pandemic that is there throughout the world we have this covered 19 and he says that in his college all the prayer rooms are closed and when he goes to college he cannot pray so what should he do and this problem is you're living in uk manchester i do not know whether the college that you are studying in is it is it run by a muslim or a non-muslim organization i'm not aware of it so i'll give you both the answers as far as as you're living in a non-muslim country or going to a non-muslim institution but naturally if it's a non-muslim country you have to follow the law of the country if the country has said the mosque has to be closed it has to be closed they have to follow the rule if it's a non-muslim institution they've received it or follow the rule what should a muslim do i've mainly spoken to many muftis and many scholars especially in the muslim countries and i have told them that if you think there is a medical problem and you fear that due to opening of the mosque the coveted 19 the coronavirus will spread i said that if you have taken the precaution and closed all the other activities and closed the mosque last the different opinion whether the mosque should be closed or not we won't go into that that will discuss later on but even if you agree that mosque should be closed so i told them that the mosque should be closed the last if there's a total lockdown where everything is closed and then you close the mosque whether right or wrong secondary it can be accepted but we find in many muslim countries what they do they say that if we have a total lockdown then there will be economic loss of billions of dollars every day so what they do they do a partial lockdown in the partial lockdown they keep all the walls open and they close down the mosque they say if we close all the activities then there will be a loss of billions of dollars if we keep some of the activities open and you know close more than half of the activity then the loss would be minimal so you find in many muslim countries there are partial lockdown where they keep the shopping malls open and they close the mosque and masala so i asked them question that you are keeping the shopping mall open because you don't want a loss in your financial of the country imagine when you keep the shopping mall open and if a person comes to shop and if he wants to offer salah will you have a salah okay fine you may tell him okay when he goes to the shopping mall you should not stay for more than one or two hours he can shop and go back okay hypothetically agreed a person comes to shop if there is enough time between two salah he comes for two hours or comes forward and goes by accepted i am asking you the question and i asked this to some of the mufti and the scholars that the person who's sitting in the shop who's a muslim who's a salesman he's there from morning till evening maybe for 10 hours maybe for eight hours where will he pray and they were silent i said are you telling me that you are telling the muslim should go as a salesman and sit in the shopping mall and sell goods and should not pray haram it is a major sin it is the fourth major sin if you deliberately do not offer salah knowingly it is haram so i told them oh yes it's a very good point and that should be noted and i discussed with many okay if you want to close down all activities close down the complete mall so so that muslims will not go to the mall they will not be salesmen whether right or wrong we can discuss later on it's acceptable but you keep the mouse open and you close the musa and you close the mosque well the muslim pray are you trying to tell me that earning money is more important than offering salah the first thing allah will ask you on the day of judgement the first deed is the body of salah so i ask how can a muslim if a non-muslim country does that acceptable how can muslim countries which have got religious scholars which has got muftis how can they do a partial lockdown and in that passion lockdown they stop the mosque and they close the masala how can they do it and when i discuss this idea of perfecting the right we'll put it in a committee some said okay we'll see to it my job is to convey the message now coming to your question what should you do as a muslim see if the authorities are not following the right thing you should see to it that you follow your islam it is further for every muslim to offer fight time salah every day unless it's a woman who's menstruating or postpartum after delivery the few cases otherwise all the other adult men and women under all other cases whether they are sick they should praise allah whether they are going for kital even in the battlefield they have to offer sallah is mentioned foreign that pray while standing if not standing sitting he's not sitting by lying if you're in the battlefield let one group pray and the other group keep watch after the first group finishes the first group keeps for the second group imagine in the battlefield where life is in danger there you have to pray where did the question come that for earning your living you don't have to pray so i disagree with this at all so you as a muslim what you do you have to see to it that if you want to go for shopping if you can go shopping and come back in time you don't miss any of your salah no problem or say to it you pray somewhere if you are a muslim working in a shopping mall and your boss calls you you have to tell your boss see to it that you get me a place for praying if you can arrange for me a place for praying see to it is legal i will come if not i will not come i would prefer my salary being cut no problem economic loss is no problem but akhera loss is not acceptable there is no way at all a muslim can go to a mall as a salesman and spend the full day and not offer his or her asar maghrib impossible there is no true doubt at all they have to make arrangement for salah either they keep the masala open or they have something now you as a student living in uk and if your institute is what you should do i would advise you that take a pocket sajada a pocket sajada you know it can fold and keep in your pocket it's a thin thin plastic material it can easily fit into your pocket pray in any corner of the mosque sorry in any corner of the college say to it that it doesn't obstruct see you face the qibla in any kind of play if possible if you have one of your friend two people pray it makes the jamaat praying in jamaat praying in the mosque is a must but the most are close pray in jamaat with your friend two people no problem don't make a big jamaat pray you fulfill if not at least pray alone if you go to the college and if you cannot pray and they stop you from praying anyway don't go to college what will happen okay mr d no problem study at home online teaching that there what comes to us worst scenario you will fail one year no problem failing in studies here is better than failing in akshara there is no option whatsoever of missing salah under any circumstances for a male adult he has to pray even if he's sick if we cannot stand sitting if we cannot sit lying he has to pray for the covenant did not at the time of the prophet the prophet said don't leave the city if you find a plague and don't go to the city of this place yeah this is there we know at the time of the sabbath there was epidemic there was no pandemic epidemic means it is their contagious disease it's in that locality what they did that they were in groups the groups didn't mix amongst each other but they prayed i've never heard of any hadith where the mosques have been closed never they took precaution one group did not mess with the other group alhamdulillah they prayed in jamma they prayed surely they prayed for it to fit so the thing is that if the authorities are not agreeing with you okay don't break the law you follow the law of the country would you follow islam also take a take a sajada pray in a corner if that is not allowed and if that is not permitted by the law of the country or the law of the institute don't bring the law stay at home pray at home don't go to college don't go to work praying is a further there is no option at all that you can miss your salah so try your level best to go to the workplace and offer salah the way you can the best in jamaat if not in jamaat alone if you cannot the least you can do is don't go stay at home even you have to miss your studies no problem if you have to miss your work maximum salary will be cut there can there be anything more that they can do but praying to allah is more important than than anything else it's the most important and you cannot miss under any circumstances hope that answers the question the next question from muhammad akira rashid first year mbb student from bangladesh in our country government officers take bribe the salary is 50 000 to 60 000 but the property is worth many crows tens of millions if they use this haram money for hajj and zakat will the hajj and zakat be accepted for this kind of activity is there any significant punishment because the personal and because the person and the family members always praises and they are proud of their property as a young muslim i wanted to know about this which will be very helpful for my future thank you the question posed was that in the country of bangladesh many government officers take bribe the salary is very small 50 to 60 000 taka which is a very small amount but they have big houses of tens of millions of takas and if they pay zakat from this haram money is it accepted if they perform hajj with haram is except is it accepted allah says clearly in the quran in surah baqarah chapter 2 verse 188 that use not your wealth as a bait for judges in order to eat other people's wealth so bribing is haram a beloved person said it's mentioned number two hadith number 1 337 that the prophet said that allah has cursed the person who gives bribe and takes pride so bribing is haram according to imam abdhabi in this book al-qabaya the major sin he puts bribing as 30-second mediation so without doubt bribing is haram now if a person earns this haram earning if he gives zakat is it accepted allah says in the quran in surah maidah chapter 5 verse number 27 that allah accepts from the muttaqien from the righteous people from the past people with whatever things you offer to allah allah accepts only from the pious and the righteous people so if you're earning the haram it is not accepted whether you give zakat or whether you perform hajj number one zakat is supposed to be given only by those people who are rich who have a nisab level of more than 85 grams of gold if you are poor you have to give zakat now we are earning haram and from that haram money you're giving zakat sure it will not be accepted if with that earning you perform hajj allah says in the quran in surah al-imran chapter 3 verse number 97 that hajj has been prescribed for people who can afford it so hajj is the fifth pillar of islam it is only for for an alert muslim if he can afford the journey if he cannot afford hajj is not so if you cannot afford your earning the haram and then you want to do hajj with the haram money your hajj will never be accepted and when you perform hajj it's very important that the hajj should be accepted then your sins are forgiven otherwise not so doing hajj with the haram money it's a waste of time your hajj will never be accepted the best is you stop the haram activity and you have halal earnings and with that halal earnings you can perform your hajj and same with zakat so best is that you stop the haram earning whether the haram earning is the cheating or or with haram activities or bribing with your haram earnings allah doesn't accept your haram earnings and even your zakat will not be accepted and even your hajj will not be accepted so best is to stop the haram activity and then see to it that you do these pillars of islam inshallah inshallah allah will forgive your past sin you ask for forgiveness and inshallah allah will forgive your past sin and repeat allah give hidayah to these muslims who are involved in haram activities next question assalamu alaikum jamie ahmad from maulvi bazaar silent bangladesh can i perform salah wearing a shirt which has a logo of animals a similar question is asked assalamualaikum my name is from kashmir what is the ruling on praying salah in clothes that have logos especially puma jordan etcetera is valid in such type of clothes regarding the question that can you offer salah wearing t-shirts having pictures of animals the ruling is wearing t-shirts having pictures of animate things whether offering salah or not of or not offering salah it is haram wearing any t-shirt which has pictures of animate with animals birds human beings it is haram you can't have pictures on your curtains of animate things with animals birds human beings whether in salah outside salah wearing such clothes is haram and for details why pictures and paintings and sculptures around have given various hadees quotation that's a different answer all together very but coming to a satisfy question that can you wear t-shirt having animals and i gave the answer salaam the second question posed was can you wear t-shirts of companies whose logos are animals so if the logo contains an animal if the animal details are not there and the features are not there the eyes are not seen the face is not synthesis permissible the question opposed what about wearing a t-shirt which has the logo of puma puma has a logo of a panther and there you can only see the outline of the animal eyes cannot be seen the face cannot be seen only the outline is seen so this is permissible same thing with jordan you have a man with his hands up and that is the outline the features aren't seen the eyes are not seen the face is not seen the mouth is not seen so if it's only an outline without the details of the face it is permissible on the other hand if you wear a t-shirt of lacoste that's the crocodile now this lack of stay the crocodile has good features the scales are seen the eyes is seen the mouth is seen the details are seen so wearing a t-shirt of this brand having the crocodile with details and the eyes etc sram so generally if the details there's hara whether it's a small logo or a big logo but like puma etc if it's only the logo outline it's permissible and generally having pictures of animals birds animate things human beings it is prohibited in salah or outside salah it's not accepted hope that answers the question the next question from mia basid gas station owner dealer from maryland usa salaam walaikum assalam i live in maryland usa in gas station when you are under franchise you have to keep lottery franchises don't give you the option of removing lottery from the business lottery money is 10 to 15 percent of the earnings but as a gas station owner stroke dealer lottery has to be registered on your name i know that lottery money is not halal but in gas station that is not the main source of income my thinking is that i can keep the record of lottery income separate and give away that money at the end of the month please guide me jazakallah the weather has asked a question that he owns the gas station from maryland usa and in the gas station there it's compulsory that you should keep a lottery if you want the franchise of the grass station and he knows that lottery is haram so he's saying that can we calculate the amount that i earn from the haram lottery and give it away is it permissible allah clearly mentioned the glorious quran in surah maya chapter number 5 verse number 90 oh you believe in most certainly intoxicants and gambling well answered dedication of stones divination of arrows richard shaitan abstain from it that you may prosper as a yala is an amino almighty muslim toxic instant gambling dedication of stone divination of arrows that intoxicants and gambling divination of arrows dedication of stones these are satan's handwork abstain from it that you may prosper so lottery comes in gambling and it is prohibited and rightly said it is haram the question is that the earning is about 10 to 15 percent of the total money earning in lottery can you give that away in charity and continue with the business if you are the owner of a business you cannot do even one percent haram activity leave aside 10 or 15 percent you cannot say i will earn i will sell alcohol and the alcohol earning is only 5 percent i'll give that away in charity is it permissible it's not permissible if you are the owner and you have full control of the business you cannot at all do even one person haram activity in it you cannot sell even one good even it may be 0.1 percent of your money that's a different question if you're not the owner if you are working in a five-star hotel which serves alcohol as long as you don't work in the alcohol bar and if you're a receptionist and five percent or ten percent of the earning of the five total call you can say that because you don't own the business you can assume that your earning is from the halal part because you're not the owner so if you're not the owner and a muslim working in a five total as long as you don't have alcohol as long as you don't serve work in that section of alcohol if you're working a different section then it is permitted but if you're the owner of a business and selling alcohol or selling lottery even if it's one percent even a small percentage is haram so my advice to you would be that see to it that you stop selling lottery if it's not possible if you have to give up the dealership i would say change your business if they say you give up the lottery you'll have to give up your business my advice would be give up the business it will benefit you in the akhirah you may never know benefit in the duny also change your business if you can find a way in such a way that you stop selling lottery and continue that's the best if you cannot then change your business do some other business because gambling is the twentieth major sin in islam according to and here you are sending allah says in the quran in surah maidah chapter 5 verse number 2 that help one another in taqwa in righteousness and good deeds but do not help one another in sin and transgression so what are you doing you are selling lottery that's a bigger sin so my advice to you would be that if you cannot stop selling lottery change your business inshallah allah will give you better risk hope that answers the question insha allah will take the last question before we end the session assalamu alaikum walk my name is furkan i am from india since last year i became a better muslim and started praying six times a day as before i used to pray only two to three times a day but nowadays sometimes when i face big problems in my work and career i feel depressed bad thoughts come in my mind like there is no god to help me astax etc even after praying six times i don't feel connected to allah during that time though i know i should connect with allah more when i face problems in life so what should i do please help me i love you zakir sir whether furqan has asked a question that lately alhamdulillah he's come closer to islam previously to offer two or three times salah a day now you are for six times mashaallah beside five time maybe he even offers the taj salah alhamdulillah but nowadays because he's facing some problems because this problem the thought comes in his mind that god is not helping you and these thoughts are disturbing even though he prays six times he cannot connect with allah what should it do it's common that when a person becomes more islamic the shaitaan tries to get them away from allah that's his duty you should be a good muslim and should know how to abstain from getting tempted from the shaitaan these are mainly wasfusa these are whispering of the satan as allah says in the quran in the last surah of the quran foreign chapter 114 that this the satan the whispers in your ear and withdraw among them there are men ancient so my suggestion to you that when these whispers come you should know how to overcome other allah says in the quran that a true believer is one who always says alhamdulillah suppose they're going lost in business and maybe you went and lost of two thousand dollars so satan will come and say see allah is not helping you you went in a loss of two thousand business a true moment says alhamdulillah i only went in loss of two thousand dollars i could have lost five thousand dollars you say alhamdulillah thank you allah subhana tala i only lost two thousand dollars if there is a problem if suppose you are sick and you have fever you can always say this see now you are sick you have got fever allah is not with you alhamdulillah it's allah's help my fever is only 100 degrees it could have been 110 degrees 105 degrees fahrenheit so here what you should do you should be able to overcome these are whispers of the satan because the satan knows now this particular human being has come closer to allah he is praying not five times six times allah so my advice to you would be that especially when you're reading the taj salah and when you're doing sijda at that time you prayed allah and when such thought comes you should say on energy you seek refuge in allah from satan their quest and that's what the quran says in surah chapter 7 verse number 200 that when the satan whispers say i seek refuge with allah from setting the curse inshallah when you say al-zubillah shaytan inshallah the satan will go away and you recite the last two surahs of the quran that is the most attained surah and surah nas surah number 113 114 these two are recommended by allah then they recommended by a prophet the last two surahs for such situation and in fact your faith should become stronger and we should be more optimistic than pessimist these a common thing the satan tries to deviate you so my advice to you would be that reason regime read the last two surahs and be optimistic and say alhamdulillah i only went in less loss i could have gone in bigger loss anything happens you should be optimistic and not pessimist this was all that we could handle in this session inshallah till we meet after two weeks as i mentioned in my last session that because of my other commitments we have kept this program asked dr zakir and his son sheikh fari every alternate saturdays so inshallah now we'll meet after two weeks after the fortnight inshallah same time 11 o'clock malaysia 11 p.m makkah time it will be six pm and gmt three p.m till we meet assalamu alaikum alhamdulillah yes now
