[Applause] [Music] I like to apologize we're all out of time see you tomorrow join me tomorrow when my guests will be the music of the b-52s Roseanne and Tom Arnold and a whole lot more so check us out you all know my next guest from her role as Denise on The Cosby Show tomorrow night she hosts a PBS special called why bother voting please welcome Lisa Bonet [Applause] [Music] aren't you glad lisa has pretty feet cuz whenever she comes here she comes barefoot and you would hate for her to walk out like with my feet you know anyway cuz I have big tattoos and corns and you know big ears of corn oh my good to see you thank you first I should ask you how's the baby she's beautiful that's good that's good do you see all your friends from The Cosby Show still I haven't really seen anyone in a long time yeah you all don't keep in touch I thought about that cuz me and Malcolm just did a project together with a magic on HIV you know and I wondered if you all kept in touch well I'd say that I still consider them good friends but I haven't really talked to anyone actually I ran into tempest not so long ago yeah she grew up to be a really smart girl that we can all be proud of really smart girl yeah okay we should talk about this special a little bit cuz I think the title might be misleading well it might make people think it's a special convincing them all that letter hail with it no it's why I bother voting and then the answer yeah is to participate in history and contribute to transforming the times that we're living in and what actually do you do in this special like why should we watch it cuz you pretty much just told us we should be a part of history and now we can turn and watch cable no why should we watch and that's enough as long as you understand the importance of this election it's a crucial election and it's not that hard to register to vote the special basically tells you it's really easy to get involved to register it tells you all the rules you don't have to be embarrassed about not knowing you know what to do and it makes it really simple it lays it all out for you and it shows you the importance of of participating and exercising your right to vote other than doing things like this and raising the baby what have you been doing you've been missing I've been known getting my life together and since well the last two years have been sort of a recovery period not working spending time with my kid and you know I just have gone through lots of changes so name me the biggest change you've undergone well I'm single again yeah that was a big change and I'm just really getting comfortable and appreciating being a mother taking that time to connect with my kid do you and the baby hang out with mr. Kravitz and spend time together two three of you every now and then I'm experiencing what's called talk show host face breaking good question man some people come on like I was surprised like there have been a few guests that have been here and they still associate with their exes and the new wife goes and the three of them hang out and all kind of stuff like that but I'm more familiar with this as an actress do you find it hard to get people to forget about Denise and let you do other things yeah probably I think people want I sort of walk into rooms you know when I had to Shannon they're sort of like like this and I have to prove myself that I can act didn't angel heart change their mind yeah I guess I guess that was five years ago so I think people are just waiting now to see see what I do and it's also this business it's a copycat business you know no one wants to be the first one to take that chance to put you in a film so and then once you get one film everyone loves you and you're the darlings yeah because you did Cosby then you went and did angel heart then you came back to Kasbah for a while but once you see a woman make love to Mickey Rourke there man how can you see a chicken bleed and you kind of just say she can I would remember that but anyway let's uh let's tell them once again that the show is called why bother voting it airs Wednesday September 9th on PBS how many watch PBS well check this show up because I'm sure it's a lot more exciting than she makes it she's so understated it's a good show it's an informative good show you know you don't even have own shoes you important show it's an important show for the youth who can vote and you should get involved with your country it's a it's a crucial election and we should make some changes cuz they're so desperately needed yeah thank you very much for stopping by Lisa Bonet [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
