Lilah's 2nd Birthday Party! | Little People, Big World

[Music] these are not good um the ballet shoes that we were looking for yesterday here's the birthday girl hi lila is i like you twirl no the theme for life's birthday this year was too too cute like 2-2 but also like the skirt 2-2 i put a tutu on the island and around the cake and then she got these little like dance tutu cookies and it was just a whole bunch of tutus she's two can i fix it can't fix it okay all better grandma's coming lyla's pretty nervous around groups of people hopefully she has fun we're not you know hopefully she's not just crying and pouting the whole time yeah does that look okay yeah that's great right does it look dumb or does it no that's great are you okay yeah i'm a little stressed i know why tory it's not it's any fun if mom's gonna be in a stretched outside i'm trying not to we just have a lot to do still i feel like we love how open the floor plan is at our new place and we're definitely thinking it's gonna be a good party hosting house yeah this is lila's birthday party but it also kind of feels like a housewarming party i tend to be very focused when setting up for a birthday party but i think her party out of all the ones you've ever had has been the least stressful honest tori holds it no no like there's stress with like because everyone's it's the first time they've come to work yeah first time people come into the house everyone's gonna make their first impressions and these impressions are gonna stay with us for the rest of our life so therefore there's a lot of stress on this moment no pressure all right grandma's here marmeen and amy and uncle steve we have a good amount of people coming to lila's party we have tori's mom and grandma head over to the couch area we got aunt amy and uncle steve there's a little creek that goes right in there we got a little chicken coop back there and then some of our friends and their kids come in as well hello yeah you haven't been here yet right and then uh my mom and chris hey look at the little princess there's mimi what did you get i always have fun going to the kids birthday parties it was a tutu party wearing a tutu i kind of forgot i should have worn one yeah i didn't know i would have worn mine i know we should have worn one would not have been cute yeah now you tell me look who's coming look who's coming hi kim there's grandpa now for the wildman hi kim how are you good how are you doing hi happy birthday girl so originally i had plans to go to arizona with my daughter and then plans changed at the last minute so of course i want to go see the kids how are you you look like you got big oh those are so sweet [Music] how's it going i'm good hurry up the farm deal didn't work out was that contouring whatever awkwardness is in the air you know it's going to be pushed aside because that's this is not the time for that this is the time for family and and celebration and lila and um that's we're just going to push everything else aside hi larae happy birthday hey hi i have absolutely no expectation that this party is going to be a kumbaya icebreaker it's all about lila it's not about our adult problems so i'm just going in with a like i said an open heart i want to see those kids get my eyes on that little new two-year-old and and enjoy it wow jackson this is a great room for you you got your legos set up you got your bed in here it happened to be my first time at the house i know matt had been there many people had been there and jackson was so excited actually both the kids even lila showed me their rooms and they were very proud of them and they have a lot of space okay we're gonna go say hi to everybody okay i was super happy and excited that they're enjoying it and they seem comfortable there pizza pizza where are we going with it let's just put it on the box okay pizza grab pizza guys and anything else [Music] here how about um this little bite your house is nice thank you congratulations there's more i said i bet mommy's here somewhere i hadn't seen her you know whenever you have something pending and there's some uncomfortableness it's easier it's so much easier just oh i'm not going to go and i don't really subscribe to subscribe to that yeah did matt get pizza i think karen you know is in a tough spot a lot i mean she integrated into the roll-off clan it's complex you know and a lot of you know a lot of things going on a lot of emotions and dramas [Music] him and karen came to the party but it's not a step forward they did like it's the bare minimum if he wants this relationship he comes to the party if he doesn't he doesn't come to the party and we move forward with whatever decision he makes granddaughter's having a birthday party you're been invited i'm not gonna celebrate if he comes or not like it's not like that's that's like celebrating like if a dad picks up his kid from school like that should just be a standard so we celebrated lyla how are you doing i'm good i'm large and in charge already but i also had a lot of pizza so how how how long are you now i'm 15 weeks okay so almost four or four months wow that sounds better when you say four months because i know this doesn't look like four months this looks like i don't think so i don't think so it's going to be really interesting to see what it is boy or girl and then tall or little who knows i feel like this pregnancy my first trimester if i've been like the classic first 12 weeks were kind of hard and then like the day i turned 13 weeks i kind of started feeling better getting my energy back not feeling so gross does jackson have another appointment before his legs or is it act actually scheduled for the 30th no no i don't think he has anything else we'll just check in with me and yeah we'll figure it out because you'll take time right yeah jackson is gonna have surgery on his legs in the next couple of days and secondary asked me to watch lila why that happens and you know i've been in that position before that they're in and i i can feel what they're going through we're family so absolutely i'll help them any way i can you wanna go do cake all right let's zoom in the positions eat cake got him okay oh look at that queen lila's really growing up a lot this last year [Applause] she's really like come into her own personality so much the last year and has just had fun and it just has more ability more just more personality yeah [Music] do you want to go get some cake take one or ask your mom but then take one [Music] all right we're gonna casually casually do some gifts over here if you want to watch lila doesn't quite understand present opening let's see what's in this one look at that a basket lunch bale but jackson was all too happy to help lila unwrap her presents [Music] she was too slow right yeah and i'm faster to open my presents do you just rip off the paper and should we do this and she would do this ah all right pull pull it out nice can you move all that wrapping paper jackson you know i can take this back and gently karen got her the same thing oh my gosh we oh my exactly yes a different tent oh cute oh oh boy all right whoever wants to start i'm kind of mad at amy she got the exact same gift that i got here yeah and next time we'll have our people talk to your people [Music] [Music] you
