Lightning Shockwave Logo Reveal - After Effects Tutorial - FREE PLUGIN

hey everyone welcome back to my After Effects tutorial in this tutorial we are going to create this [Music] [Music] [Music] so let's get started open After Effects and create a new composition let's call it lightning logo reveal as always I am using the same 1920 by 1080 resolution at 30 frames per second you are free to use your own settings now create a new solid and we will call it the background click here to make it the same size as the comp and then hit OK now go to the effects and the presets and search for the ramp apply it onto the background layer and let's adjust the color of it change the start color to a bright color and then change the end color to the darkest shade of the same color cool now grab this center point and place it to somewhere like at this point grab this bottom point as well and then place it to something like here you can always change the start color of your choice I am just showing you the way the destiny is yours cool now let's import our audio first this audio is provided by Video Copilot and you can download it from the link in the description place the audio onto the timer line and then if you press L double time you can see the audio waveform Ram preview this and you will hear the audio at this point we are going to make our logo reveal so it will match the audio let's minimize it for a while to get some room in case you won't be able to hear any audio make sure your layer audio is turned on let's create another solid and call it lightning make sure to place it onto the top of all layers then go to the tools and select ellipse tool make sure your lightening layer is selected then click in the center and start dragging the mouse press and hold the ctrl + shift key on your keyboard to make the perfect circle now press m to open a mask and change the mask to none press V to select the move tool and then go to the effects and the presets and here search for the saber this is a third-party plugin which is absolutely free you can download it from the link in the description apply it onto the same lightening layer and then adjust a few settings first open this customize cor option and change core type to the layer mask now it will be applied to the mask you have created let's change the look of it if you click on this presets option you will find these a bunch of presets you are free to use any of them but for this tutorial I am going to use this Ghostbuster cool let's increase the course size by 2 points and then change the start size to 0% also change the end offset value by 0% perfect now go to the first frame but before let's turn off the visibility of the mask by clicking here and then add a keyframe on to the end offset now go to around 1 second forward and change the end offset value to 100% cool again go to the first frame and then add a keyframe onto the mask evolution now select the audio layer and again press L double time to open waveform now go to the point where we are going to make our logo veal then select the lightening layer once again and increase the mask evolution by 15 times now press you to open keyframes select all keyframes right click on it go to the keyframe assistant and select easy ease open graph editor select the first keyframes and then change the curve to something like this in case your graph doesn't look like this right-click on it and select edit speed graph switch back to the timer line and now we have this animation Ram preview this and see if you are happy with it [Music] cool this looks good to me now go to the first frame and press M to open a mask and then add a keyframe onto the mask path now press you double time to open all the keyframes go to the last keyframe and then turn on the visibility of the mask by clicking here now double click on any of the anchor points to get the transforming box press and hold the ctrl + Shift on your keyboard and make the size smaller of this mask if you check the animation you can see we have this scaled-down animation now perfect you can now hide the mask by clicking here then select these mask path keyframes right click on it go to the keyframe assistant and easy ease them now open this render setting and change the composite settings to transparent now press ctrl + D to make a duplicate of this lightening layer and change its preset to tesseract again go to the first frame and here change the mask evolution to 120 degrees so that this layer effect will move differently cool this looks good to me let's change the blending mode of these layers if you don't see you mode stamp here press f4 to switch between if your f4 key has lost his Bitcoin value then right click here go to the columns and select modes now change the modes to lighten or screen do the same with the bottom layer now again select the top layer and make another duplicate of it change its preset to electric again go to the first frame and change the mask evolution value to a different number if you play this you can see the different movement of all layers let's select the top layer and change its glow color to a bright orange color also I am increasing the glow intensity by 90% and the core size to 1.5 so our lightning layers are complete now select all these layers right-click on it and select pre-compose let's call it lightning and then hit OK open this comp and select this top layer press s to open scale and change the scale value to 115 select the bottom layer and change its scale value as well I am making is smaller switch back to the main time align now are all layers of different movement and the size let's import the shockwave file into the project you can download this file from the link in the description place this video on top of all layers and then change its mode to screen place the starting point of this video at this point and see if you are happy with it [Music] cool let's make this lightning comp fade out press T to open opacity and then add a keyframe on it go to around one second forward and change the opacity value to 0% let's change the blending mode of this comp as well adjust the keyframe position and then easy ease them as well cool this looks good to me it's time to import our logo you are free to add your own text the process is the same for both place the logo on the time align and then adjust its scale value so that it won't look too big now right-click on this layer and precompose it we will call it logo inside and make sure to select this option cool again press s to open scale and then go to the beginning of the shockwave layer in the logo layer add a keyframe on the scale and then change the scale value to 0% go to around 15 seconds forward and change the scale value to 100% back again now select both keyframes and select easy ease open graph editor and change the curve to something like this adjust the timing of the logo layer so that it starts appearing with the shockwave perfect this looks good to me let's make the shockwave colourful select the shockwave layer go to the effects and the presets and search for the hue/saturation effect apply it onto the shockwave layer and let's adjust a few settings check this colorize option and then change the value according to your choice of colour but I suggest you to don't touch the colorize option because it will affect all the portion of the layer let's make another duplicate of this layer press ctrl + D to make a duplicate and then press R to open rotation here change the rotation value to 23 degrees let's drag this layer to the right a little so the starting will be different also change its colour as well [Music] let's create another duplicate of it and place it to the right as well again press R to open rotation and change the rotation value to a different number let's change the color of this layer as well cool now the final step go to the first frame and select the lightning comp go to the effects and the presets and search for the wiggle position apply it onto the layer and then change the wiggle speed to zero as well as change the wiggle amount to zero and then add a keyframe on both layers go to around one second forward and change the wiggle speed to 100 also change the wiggler mount to 20 now press you to open keyframes select all keyframes right click on it go to the keyframe assistant and easy ease them open graph editor and change the curve to something like this Ram preview this let's make these wiggle keyframes closer so that the wiggle will be visible Ram preview this and your animation is
