not all romantic they had to go to Fresno okay so that just shows that they really love Jesus and love people I know you're from Fresno why why are you still there and sorry but I guys say well they're gone you guys are crouching end [Applause] me mark Twan bro yeah alright I heard a rumor you went to Berklee School of Music just keep that in your back pocket bro it's like you know just in case you need someone to like throw down and sing all right but I'll just be keep bringing you coffee right that's good bro I love that I love the way you've been serving how you been coming two years you're you're serving and bringing coffee and just serving the team and it took a long time before you were on the platform I I just love the fact that you just and you've been on the mission trip to Malawi and man you know what you can flat sing but I just I think you're just a better human being than you are Talent [Applause] [Music] I know I know that was a little digression but every once a while I just gotta just pause and just see people right if you're a gas we're glad you're here yeah I don't know how you guys is the marathon still going on they finally stopped they stopped running because I couldn't get here this morning I was so mad and another marathon and and I hit me the reason we have marathons on Sunday and everything is plan of Sunday's since the city doesn't think anything meaningful is happening on Sunday and that's gonna be true until we become such an incredible movement that the city goes what we can't plan this up on Sundays you can do on Saturdays or Fridays we can shut down work on Thursdays but you know too much going on what's going on until then we'll fight our way here and and and just cheer on those people who are running one time of year yeah thank you Father so much for this beautiful day I'm not bitter Jesus I'm just you know just frustrated and but I'm so grateful to live in this beautiful city with so many marathons and Sunday events and God thank you for the faithful who found their way here today and God thank you for each person whose life has been forever changed by you we're so grateful for Emma C traveling and pulling worship out of people's hearts so they can actually step into the life you've created into love and for anyone who's in this moment with us whether here in Hollywood or across the world we pray Jesus you would just draw them close to you may you be life to them we pray in your name amen and amen you can have a seat so let me give you an Easter update a lot of times amazing things happen here and we just begin moving toward the next thing and I want to take a moment just celebrate together because it's just insane when you think about the fact that ten thousand six hundred and seventy-six people walked into mosaics doors last Sunday that's really incredible I don't know where they were sitting and then when we add the live stream between live seats and live stream we had over 28,000 people join us live for Easter is that amazing we can we gonna clap that up and and maybe the most beautiful thing was that 492 people turned on their lights instead I give my life to Jesus on Easter Sunday that's so beautiful but but that's a part of what leads me to this moment was I I stood here and watched so many of you cross line of faith and open up your life to Jesus and and 500 in one day basically but there have been thousands of you over the past months and years who've stepped across that line of faith and have opened up your life to Jesus and I said God I want you to be real in my life Jesus I want to make you first in my life and if you're like so many people I know you have this epic moment where you just open yourself up and say God I'm completely yours Jesus I trust you in that life and then the next day happens and you wake up the next day and like whoa what happened yesterday was so epic and I'm still me and that may be the most traumatizing thing of all Jesus give me a new life and then you're back in the same life you have the same job the one you didn't want before you gave your life to Jesus you wake up and you have the same husband he didn't change that like but I pray Jesus and this and things have not changed you have the same wife you have the same kids and they're still the same you have the same life and and a huge part I think of the confusion in the spiritual journey is expecting God to change everything around you and not understanding that the change is actually everything inside you everything within you see the life changing also bring isn't about changing your outside world it is by changing your inside world but a huge part the problem is that you don't know how that happens what the process is what do you do now there's this beautiful promise that Jesus makes and John chapter 10 verse 10 he says I have come to give you life and to give it to you in the fall to give it to in abundance it's this beautiful promise he's come to give us life to give us life in abundance but I think that's the greatest challenge how do we live in this life what does it look like to become a strictly mature human being how do I take this journey deeper this relationship deeper and I want to know that Jesus didn't die in the cross so that you could have a religion or a belief system or even a faith Jesus died so that you could have life and the wonderful thing is that Jesus didn't just die for you he also came to be your guide so I want to go back to where Jesus promises that he gives life and life in abundance and step into the context of that so we all know what to do next and there's some of you here you've told me you know I grew up in church or I grew up in a religion I grew up in temple or synagogue and and and it just never took hold and some of you know what it's like to step into everything you know and yet never feel as if it has changed you or stayed with you so I want us to change that now in John chapter 10 beginning in verse 1 Jesus writes or says very truly I tell you Pharisees he's speaking to the religious leaders anyone who does not enter by the Sheep pen but by the gate but climbs in some other way is a thief and a robber the one who enters by the gate is the Shepherd of the sheep the gatekeeper opens the gate for him the sheep listen to his voice he calls his own sheep by name and he leads them out when he has brought out all of his own he goes on ahead of them and the Sheep follow him because they know his voice but they will never fall to a stranger in fact they will run away from him because they do not recognize the strangers voice now in case you're wondering in case this is new for you this is a metaphor and Jesus is the shepherd and we're the Sheep and that is not a compliment okay but one of the unique relationships between shepherds and sheep is that Shepherds train their sheep to hear their voice and different flocks can actually come together and when all the shepherds call all the sheep follow the voice of the shepherd so that's the context of this moment but then he goes on to say Jesus used this figure of speech but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them therefore jesus said again very truly I tell you I am the gate for the Sheep all who have come before me are thieves and robbers but the Sheep have not listened to them I am the gate whoever enters through me will be saved they will come in and go out and find pasture the thief comes only to steal and to kill and destroy but I have come that they may have life and have it to the fall so Jesus is telling us that he has one singular intention for your life and that is to give you life to move you into the fullness of life and this is what the journey looks like but at the same time there is a thief trying to steal your life from you I don't know if you know my wife Kim she's one of the most generous people in the world she just gives away things and gives away key things and gives away things but she also gives away my things and if you try and tell her it's generosity when it's yours it's stealing when it's mine but she doesn't fully comprehend that and and it's really odd and strange it awkward because I will meet people here in our community who are wearing my clothes they'll be wearing my shoes and and and I'll look at Mike oh those are really like dope shoes they go yeah they're from your closet and I go I love that jacket yeah that was yours and and what happens is that Kim knows I have memory issues I don't remember things why other people remember them I have to remember them through photographs I don't have a chronological memory system and so she knows if she removes it I don't see it eventually I forget about it and after I forgotten about it she gives it away and then I'll remember it strangely months years later I'll go wow that's really cool and they go yeah that's yours and and this isn't just true for my clothes although that would be enough it's also true for our furniture Kim has literally given away at least five six seven eight nine ten different furniture sets over our marriage I'll come home no sulfites no dining room it'll just be gone it's not like we had an extra one it was the one that we had and this is not an exaggeration I came home one time and I went to get something out of the refrigerator and there was no refrigerator she had put a tiny little igloo where the refrigerator used to be as this somehow I will forget I think the glue was always there why would she put the igloo there on the floor where the refrigerator used to be very good Kim where's our refrigerator and she said honey I met this couple that that didn't have a refrigerator and they needed one I remember looking here said I just met a couple that doesn't have a refrigerator and needs one here you know this is true you've got some of my stuff [Applause] can you Amen that they're like vultures hold forever around Kim when I glad it's out one time a year years ago Aaron Mariah were small we're in the back house of the house we used to live that and what are you're in and Aaron looked at his mom and said mom did you give did you give away dad's grill and I looked at him like you don't give away a man's grill there are boundaries are lines in the sand and and she saw how upset it was she was no I didn't give away your dad's grill here's are you sure you know I didn't and I like Kim are you sure there's no I didn't get what you were and then derelict amigos dad did did you give away your grill I said no I didn't give away my grill and that's an important lesson a man never gives away his grill son and he goes well then there are four guys in the backyard stealing your grill and there are four guys hood back up a white truck and then I opened up the gate backed it up and we're stealing my grill I throw all my shoes and I started running out of houses back and they saw me coming and they didn't have the grill click on the bed of the truck so there's one guy in the driver's seat one guy in the back of truck pulling up and two guys pushing it up and I came out of that door flying and they saw me they took off in the truck but it wasn't quite on the truck the two wheels were on the ground and they were running pushing the the grill up trying to get it up on the back of Titan I'm chasing him down the street yelling at them letting them know what I was going to do when I caught them in Jesus's name and I'll love some people need to off tough love act now so mad I mean I know I must have looked out of my mind what's one guy going to do if he catches for criminals stealing his grill you don't want to know and that guy in the middle must have seen my fury he started pushing the grill off the flatbed while they're driving down the street well the two guys are trying to push it up he's pushing it down and finally he just yells at them and that they just pushed it up and the guys jumped on the truck and took off you don't want to mess with one Latino going after his grill and it's like and I walked up to my grill in the middle of the street I grabbed the handles and I walked at home because I'm a generous person but don't try to steal from me and I was more upset about someone trying to steal my grilled and some of us are about someone trying to steal our lives Jesus as the thief comes to rob and the steal and the kill and some of you aren't upset enough that someone's trying to steal your life from you now once you know that Jesus and the backdrop of his promise I've come to give you life and give it to you in abundance is this ominous reality that there is a thief trying to steal your life from you and we don't understand how Jesus gives us life that's weak and that's also why we don't understand how the thief tries to steal our life see this metaphor that Jesus gives us leading up to this promises not just there accidentally or incidentally Jesus is trying to teach us how he gives us life so let's go back up to the beginning he says to the Pharisees anyone who does not enter by the sheep pen by the gate but climbs in some other day away there's a leads them out so this is the assumption Jesus is making about every one of us that we have the capacity to hear the voice of God the God calls us out by name that he knows us that he speaks into our lives and that his voice becomes the guide that leads us into life because his voice is life when he has brought out all of his own verse for he goes on ahead of that and as she followed him because they know his voice but they will never follow a stranger in fact they will run away from him because they do not recognize the strangers voice Jesus used this figure of speech but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them because they were not his sheep so he did not recognize his voice therefore jesus said again very truly I tell you I am the gate for the Sheep now when I was studying literature and writing you know that you're not supposed to mix metaphors here Jesus is violating a very basic rule he says I'm the Shepherd now he says I'm the gate you can't do that Jesus you're either the Shepherd or the gate you can't be the Shepherd and the gate but he says I'm Jesus I can be both so now I was the Shepherd but I am the Shepherd I'm also the gate I'm the gate for the Sheep all who have come before me are thieves and robbers but the sheep have not listened to them I am the gate I am the way through to life whoever enters through me will be saved they will come in and go out and find pasture there it is again the thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy so before we get to that when I asked you a question do here life calling yo see what Jesus is actually painting a picture of as how life comes to us so I've come to give you life in the way you find life is by hearing his voice and here's the crazy thing a lot of us live our lives believing in God but never hearing his voice or recognizing his voice yet I know this about you if you've ever crossed the line of faith if you've ever had that sense where you know that God is offering you forgiveness and life and you've opened your life to Jesus you've at least heard God's voice once because here's the amazing thing about God you don't have to believe in him for him to speak to you I want you to the God is speaking to you right now he's speaking to you all the time in fact it tells us in the scriptures that all creation is declaring God's glory what that means is that everything in creation is screaming at you trying to get your attention so you can hear God speak to you then he says but there's a thief and you see that thief understands that is a voice that gives us life and that it's a voice that can steal life from us the way the thief tries to steal your life the way the thief wills to your life is becoming the voice you listen to that steals your life from you see if you understand this then what happened at the beginning begins to make sense all the way back in Genesis chapter 3 you know the story God creates Adam he has a name all the animals he puts him to sleep he creates Eve he he places them in paradise it's a beautiful place it's perfect there's Adam and Eve they're naked and unashamed I mean what a great life they can eat freely and there and there's two trees that are central to the story there's a tree of life because that's what God came to bring his life he wants you to enlighting for you and there's this other tree the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and that tree is the choice that we make to sever ourselves from a relationship with God where we break from life into death and of course they eat from that one tree we don't have time to go into that but what happens right after that is in verses 8 through 11 in Genesis 3 it says then the man is wife heard the sound of the Lord oh I want to stop there do you hear what it just happened then the man is wife heard the sound of the Lord walking in the garden see some of you don't even know what God's voice sounds like but the man and the woman they knew what God's steps sounded like can you imagine having such an intimate relationship with God that you know what God sounds like when he's moving towards you then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord as he was walking in the garden in the cool today and they hid from the Lord among the trees of the garden this is the first time humanity ever hid from God but the Lord God called to the man where are you and this is not God confused can't find him in the garden this is God saying how did you get someplace where you're not with me how did you get someplace where you're hiding from me where are you and maybe that's the question who would ask you right now see the spiritual journey is something so unique to your relationship with God because life is not a destination life is a journey it is the path not the destination that brings life he answered I heard you Wow Adams response to God is I heard you I heard you in the garden and I was afraid now this is what I think is so traumatizing I heard you and I was afraid it was the first time they ever heard God and were afraid so you're not supposed to hear God and be afraid it's supposed to hear God it be filled with joy if they hear God and be filled with hope he's supposed to hear God and know that love is moving in your direction but for the first time in their life they heard God and we're afraid I was afraid because I was naked so I hid and then God responded now before I get to God's question I would ask a different question if you just destroyed everything I go what were you thinking that be my question do you understand what you've done that maybe would been that question was I not clear about what's true not to eat from those are the kind of questions that God should ask but that question the God asks it doesn't make any sense who told you that you were naked why does that matter they just destroyed everything why does it matter who told him they were naked aren't you sort of focusing on the sub-point I was afraid because I was naked and so I had why would God ask them who told you that you were naked it's us it's the first time in the human story where any other voice informed the identity of humanity but God is asking them as what voice have you allowed into your life at a stolen life from you do you hear life calling because when you hear the voice of God you're in sync right now will be to run because you're naked and the shame but I want telling you to run to that voice because in that voice there's life but you need to also realize that that there are voices in your head that need to be silenced what voices do you need to silence right now what voices are telling you that you're naked and so you're running from God filled with shame such an odd question isn't it they were naked up to that moment but someone told them they were naked and puts shame into their life it's very personal to me I think I was around 10 years old we lived in a little house on Miami and the shower didn't have room for towels so we always have to grab a towel from the closet then take a shower and my mom would always tell us to make sure you take your towel and I would always forget I'm so absent-minded then and and I would just yell I need a towel I'm gonna tell eventually someone would just submit and bring me a towel my mom my brother my sister or someone I need a towel I finally just wore them out one day I went to the door I said I need a towel and I got back in the shower cuz I wasn't in a hurry then I heard the bathroom door open and then I heard the saw the curtain just ripped open on the shower and to my family members grabbed me out of the shower naked and dragged me out of the bathroom down the hallway through the living room and threw me out the front door I know you're not sure what a laugh or like you know go ahead just laugh get out of your system you know and that was outside naked and my instinct was to try to get back in but they locked the door I was banging and banging on the door I could hear him another side mocking me and making fun of me and it was just made it worse then a car went by and was so aware of my nakedness I had nowhere to hide that I could find then two bikes went by and they went slower that's all some people walking on the other side of the sidewalk and I thought good hide better hide there's a little tiny bush it was just an anemic Bush not worthy of even be called a bush had almost no leaves it was just twigs and you know and I remember just getting in a fetal position behind that Bush and you know strange that happened to me I was proud of like eight years old I forgot that memory until I was almost 50 I blocked it out of my mind cuz I was so full of shame I felt so humiliated and I remembered it suddenly and I don't remember how it ended I just black out in that fetal position naked and ashamed I started wondering how did I know to be ashamed me I didn't grow up in church I didn't grow up with faith I'd never heard of Adam and Eve I didn't know they were naked and ashamed I didn't know that was the human experience I mean as obvious I was naked that was pretty clear but how didn't I know to be ashamed there are no seminars if you're naked be ashamed but I was every time I saw someone won't buy that street I felt so ashamed see why did I carry on that shame rather than give the shame to the people who threw me out because their voices that get inside of you and they tell you that you're naked and you're ashamed they tell you that you're lastly they tell you that you don't matter they tell you're not valuable to tell you that you're not worthy of love or acceptance and those voices have you ever noticed that all the negative voices to get inside of you hard to get out when all the positive ones leave you so easily everything that has ever been said to you that has hurt you it left you broken it stays with you and it routes deep inside of you and it's so hard to silence and and yet all the encouragement in the world it just seems I could just wash us away so quickly as you feel as if no one's ever affirmed you I know inside of my own Hannah there are voices I've had to learn to silence and a part of the reason I want to step into this this moment as some of you you're trying to figure out how do you move on in your spiritual journey what do you do after you give your life to Jesus and I want to know that that the journey with Jesus is learning how to hear his voice had a know his voice and how to trust his voice because in his voice there is life and a part of that process is silencing the voice that just keeps screaming and screaming in your head and making it so hard to hear God inside of you and over and over again the Scriptures point this out let's listen to the Hebrews chapter chapter 3 verses 7 and 8 says so as the Holy Spirit says today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion during the time of testing in the wilderness in chapter 3 again in verse 15 it says as has just been said today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion in chapter 4 beginning in verse 6 says therefore since we're it still remains for something to enter that rest to enter into that life and since those who had formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience God again sent a certain day calling it today this he did when a long time later he spoke through David as in the passage already quoted here it is today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts he keeps telling us over and over and over again today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts you know what's being assumed here is that God is speaking to you that you can actually hear his voice that you know what he's saying to you but you have to deal with it you have to decide what you're going to do what is God's Spirit saying to you today right now this moment what is God speaking into your life that you're struggling with and maybe you're terrified to lean into what he's saying to you maybe he's demanding of you such change that you don't know if you can bear it what is God speaking to you because on the other side of those words there's life for you right now I think I don't know Aaron might have been 11 12 years old we sent him to youth camp it was a mosaic youth camp and on the first day I get a call I mean I was gonna drive up there and see how things were going couple hours away in the mountains but I get a call that Aaron's in trouble he's been in a fight yes classic preacher's kid and I go he got in a fight and they go yeah I guess he punched some kid so who and he it was the biggest kid in the camp all right at least he's not picking on someone it was way bigger than him and I said well what's going on what have you done said well we talked to him trying to calm him down and and and I said well do you want me to come take him home he goes no we wanted to stay but he won't ask for forgiveness I said what do you mean they said well we told me if you just asked her forgiveness you can stay at the camp and we'll move on and grow from this and he says no he said he's not sorry he's only sorry he didn't get two punches and he yeah and uh he's just he's not gonna ask for forgiveness I thought so if you know Aaron that's Aaron and so I says okay so I Drive a few hours up I'm thinking this through processing what I'm gonna do with my kid and I get up there and I sit down with Aaron we're meeting a little private room and it's okay buddy is this true let me hear your side of the story is the my side of the story is just like their side of the story they're telling the truth he said something I got mad I went after him took a lot of people to hold me down I said okay so the story is accurate he goes up I said well you know you need to ask for nope so you know you need to ask for forgiveness I know how this works dad it's a Christian camp I asked for forgiveness everybody forgives me we move on nah I'm not sorry I'm just sorry I didn't get to punches and I'm just like and I like Aaron you need to one be repentant and then ask for forgiveness it was I'm sorry dad it's just not gonna happen he was look he said something about mom I said what said he said something about mom if anyone says anything about my mom they're gonna have to deal with me but he said something your mom they can act like you're mad act like you're really disappointed don't let them know you're proud yes all right buddy I get that you defended your mom but you'd be really great if you could ask for forgiveness and I'm not gonna do it dad you told me I never have to fake it I never have to pretend I just need to be real and I don't have to do anything if I don't want to do it I don't want to be here okay so we go to his room he starts packing up you guys are gonna help me pack said no is your choice you packed because I know what you're doing it's child psychology like you know I know I'm just on you you pack it it's your baggage and he packed all you guys you're gonna help me carry to the car said now it's your stuff to carry so he's dragging his luggage up this mountain he's like all the way I know what you're doing I know what you're doing but it's not gonna work he's just dragging it and finally we get to the car and I I've said everything I know how to say I couldn't convince him to fix something that he didn't feel like needed to be fixed and so we said hey can we just sit for a moment we sound these rocks and I said buddy is there any voice inside of you telling you what you should do stop yeah yes so what's it saying saying I should stay and work it out so that's interesting can you identify that voice yeah it's the voice of God Aaron do you guys what just happened I say forget everything else the creator of the universe who spoke everything into existence the crater of the universe just spoke to you you heard his voice and you could identify the voice of God Wow cool I'm still not gonna do it yeah and I said well you know that's up to you but this is how it works you see today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts see when God speak to you if you don't like what God's speaking to you he's not gonna change the subject you don't get to choose the conversation with God he chooses a conversation with you and then you got to decide what you're gonna do with it and if you harden your heart what will happen is when you harden your heart you become dull of hearing and when you heart when God speaks to you and you do not move in trust in God and following his voice your heart becomes hardened your ears become dull and over time the voice of God becomes silent to you and they'll come a time and I told Aaron this they'll come a time if you harden your heart that you will now no longer be able to hear God's voice and you will not even believe that God speaks but if you will treasure his voice even if you don't like what God is saying I feel treasuring and lean into it and hear God and trust him and follow his voice your heart will become soft and you will train your ears to hear the voice of God you know why we put so much emphasis on you and me all of us knowing the Scriptures see there's some of you that do not open your Bible during the week you are spiritual bulimics you come here on Sunday eat everything you can and starve yourself the rest of the week see because in verse 12 of that Hebrews chapter 4 it says for the word of God is alive and active sharper than any double-edged sword it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit joints and marrow it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart so there's a science that has emerged over the really our lifetime called florins ik linguistics it's oof Lorenz ik linguistics that they've discovered they can actually begin to identify a criminal they can identify someone if they study their writing if they study their words if they study their language and and so when someone sends their notes as a criminal when there's a serial killer and they begin to study that person's language when they study their memorandums they study the edicts that they send out they can actually begin to identify who that person is they can identify what part of the country they come from what kind of education they have what culture they come from and they can actually be in the narrow down and identify who the person is through this incredible study of language see some of you cannot identify the voice of God when he speaks to your soul because you've neglected meditating on the words he has given you in his written word but when you pour your life it says when you meditate on the Word of God what happens is that you train your soul to hear the voice of God it is a dynamic spiritual forensic linguistic study of the voice of God and when you hear God speak to the Scriptures you begin to know what he sounds like when he's talking to you every moment of your life I have was in Toronto years ago at an event and this guy named John came up to me he was from China he was an engineer and he was perfectly fluent in English he was brilliant and he came up to me at the end of the session because he knew talk about hearing God's voice he said I'm an atheist but I want to know what God's voice sounds like and I thought was really odd that an atheist would come up to ask me what God's voice sounds like because if there is no God there's no sound and it seen can obvious to me but I said hi John I'm Erwin and your nay theist he was just I am I said well then God doesn't sound like anything because there is no God so there's no sound and he goes well I know that but what's got talk to you so what is it's little tricky cuz there's so many voices in my head it's very crowded in here and so when God jumped in it was a maddening crowd and I had to slowly begin to identify his voice he said and really said a lot of practical ways John God's voice sounds like my conscience God's voice sounds like my voice except with these bad sounds like my mom you know you guys know really what does God's voice sound like say well you know all the voices in your head are you right aren't they you what are the voices could they be if they're not you how do they get in there but strange thing is that you have all this con carne or voices inside of you of every person that has ever gotten into your soul so every time someone said something to you that teach you who told you to never make it at parent who told you that you were not worth it that person who broke your heart and told you that you're not worthy of their love all those voices get into you and they somehow stay with you and they become your voice that's all I said but have you ever had like a voice you say I've been at the end of myself I've had moments in my life I just I just didn't know if I could make it one more day have you ever been there and there's his old voice it tells me now you can do this you're gonna make it through this moment I know that's the voice of God because it's the one voice fighting against all the other voices in my head it's in every moments in my life I felt like I was worthless that no one would ever love me that my life would have no value and I just wanted to come to the end of myself and I there's this little voice would say no you're created to do something that matters you cannot give up on yourself and I know that's the voice of God so they're moments in my life where I just felt so wrong but darkness and that voice just spoke to me in that darkness and kept tell me just keep moving to the light I know that's God this it's as if God wars against all the voices in my head and he always calls me no more so but John you're an atheist right he goes yes I'm an atheist I said why are you here what do you mean why I'm here I read brought me said no no no that's why you came but why are you here standing in front of me asking me what God sounds like see I think there's a little voice inside of you I told you to come talk to me John you know there's no God where he goes yes I know there's no God I mean it's it's it's reasonable because is there a little voice in your head that keeps arguing with you you don't know how it got in there cuz they're supposed to be you but they keep saying there is a God there's a God there's guy you can kind of shut that voice down but it just keeps going going and when you try to silence a the voiceless gets louder and louder there's a god go talk to the guy there is a god there's a god there's a god they said it's like a parasite eating away at your brain is a comparison eating away your brain you can't stop it just keep telling there's a god there's a god there's a god and because yes it's like a parasite in my head I can't get it out it keeps telling me there's a god and I know there's not I said John that parasite in your brain that's God and and I want you to know so God's gonna keep speaking to you even when it drives you to madness I know that people say it's okay if you talk to God but you're insane if you think God's talking to you let me tell you if God isn't talking to you it's not worth talking to God there's no value on it but I know that God is talking to you he's speaking to you even if you don't believe in him his voice is echoing and the hollowness of your soul a thousand times a thousand over again I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you as the Scriptures tell us that in these days God has spoken through a son and Jesus is the word that keeps speaking life into us you want to know what the next step is after you cross that line of faith it's being fully alive because life is waiting for you but that life is in the voice of God and so you need to begin to meditate on the words that God has given you so you can know the words that are yet to come that's how intimately he wants to know you but maybe you're here and you haven't crossed that line of faith yet but God speaking to you and you didn't even know how and it crazy that even if you don't believe in God you can still hear his voice even when you're not sure his voice becomes so clear there's some of you right now God is just screaming in his silence he whispers so deeply that cuts to the very core of you you sing it's time you belong to me - my love as I want to just invite you right now to choose to cross the line of faith just pray a simple prayer Jesus I give you my life that's the beginning of a conversation with God that will last forever Jesus I give you my life I want you know that Jesus already gave his life for you he's just waiting for you to give your life to Him Jesus I give you my life would you just bow your head to me just for a moment just close your eyes if you're here in this moment you're ready to cross the line of faith you're ready to trust Jesus with your life I want you right now just to whisper that prayer Jesus I give you my life right now just tell him Jesus I give you my life Jesus I give you my life that's your prayer I want to pray for you right now if you just whispered it to God Jesus I give you my life I just want you to hold your hand up high so I can see you and I want to pray for you right now beautiful wonderful rah so fast all over the room anyone else right now beautiful Jesus I give you my life wonderful so could anyone in the back cause beautiful anyone else Jesus I give you my life father thank you for all these women and men that in this moment have opened up their lives to you but have heard your voice for your voices life have crossed that line of faith and have chosen to follow you god I pray that they would know you've called him out by name but you know about them and now they can know you where you would wrap them up in your life and let them know that they belong to you that life is just getting started we thank you Father we pray in Jesus name Amen we just thank God for all those respond to him so beautiful so good all right we're gonna sing one last song I want to remind you of something the path the journey the quest that's the wonder of life stop waiting for a destination when everything finally comes together God knows how to work in the mess of your life every day and one things we're gonna do because we realize that some of you the Bible just feels overwhelming to you it's just this big giant book with all these stories and you can't make sense of it I remember when I was introduced to sushi 20 years ago but my friend Rick Yamamoto he took me to a Japanese place and he started me with California rolls which is really not sushi but he just got me used to it then slowly helped me through textures and helped me understand what the different fish were and before I knew it I was a sushi addict and and for some of you the Bible's like sushi you're like I don't know I don't know where to start but we're gonna give you sushi me which is sushi without rice we're just going to give you me okay this is what we're gonna do on the mosaic app we're gonna start putting a daily devotional we're gonna take verses of the Bible now you can apply that oh good we're gonna take verses of the Bible small ones and then we're gonna put a little thought that guide you now this is not supposed to be your whole spiritual life it's just to introduce you to sushi it's just to get you eating of what God wants to pour in your life so you can begin to hear his voice every day in your life but this daily I'm so and I take this is a lot of work this is not easy for us I am so concerned about whoever and our team is going to have to do that tests or whoever it might be Aaron or you know because they're gonna be up nights and doing this because it's gonna be meaningful it's gonna be beautiful and we're going to make sure that we help put into your life those verses that we know have helped us in our spiritual journey so if you have not downloaded the mosaic app do that right now and begin to start the spiritual journey with us we'll start as soon as we can get on it okay and moment is that okay I can have a dad moment we just had a whole wave of people that during that song left exited and sometimes the little things that matter that I think there's there's something in there that it wasn't just a moment it was a trigger that's saying there's something about us that that we leave before God's done did you hear me on that like God's still moving he's still active like like maybe you might be done but there's somebody in the room that needs you to be present there's somebody that we're in the room that needs you to be engaged in and I just want to encourage you like let's not be the place that that we leave before God is done doing what he needs to do okay I'm just gonna say that so for those of you that are still thank you for being here thank you for like this being open and excited because today God did a thing today there was people that walked in here filled with death and they're leaving with life and it was beautiful powerful and so if that was you here today and you raised your hand you said yes to Jesus we want to celebrate that decision with you we want to give you a Bible so we have a Bible here has a sticker on it it says you belong here because we want to put it in your hands and so everywhere you go when you walk knowing that you when you say yes to Jesus you also say yes to a tribe so when you go out the back doors when we exit together there's a sign that says next step our team will be there now this Bible is for you grab it as you leave and then we want to help you take your next steps if you're new to faith if you new to
