and learn from resource panelists as well life stages well represented correct and i am also so excited to serve the lord tonight by serving with you max and friends we want to get to know you so i with our first finalists paul and jenny tanchi let's introduce them paul is my spiritual grandfather and also my namesake namesake how is the president of the axia group of companies and serve as a board member in homeschool global previously he was the national president and chairman of the subdivision housing developers association and a board member of habitat for humanity today paul volunteers in ccf and serves director for ccf sports ministry and he and his wife jenny are passionate about developing leaders and desire to reach this generation for christ through god's church business sports education and of course multi-generational mentoring and right next to him is his very lovely wife jenny okay jenny moved to the philippines when she was five years old when her parents heeded the call of god and came as missionaries to our country she took up her undergraduate degree in intercultural studies at prairie bible college in alberta canada jenny moved back to the philippines after marrying paul and has taken courses on counseling he is passionate in helping women become all that god made them to be and focuses her time and energy in homeschooling and raising their four wonderful children so we we we will get to know them more tonight but paul and jenny as our spiritual grandparents it's a privilege to actually share and our first question to you guys is this when did you struggle with purposelessness and how did you navigate through that struggle thank you paul and claire um it really is a privilege to be here with all of you and especially you paul and claire and um it's been a joy to listen to you every week so it's nice that we're actually here live with you i'm gonna let jenny answer that question first that's a great question so sweetheart yeah great question paul i think you know as i was thinking about it you know one of the moments in my life that i felt real great purposelessness was when i actually married paul and not not marrying him okay but it was just i think you know i had left the u.s i i was very planted there i had a good job i felt like i was really investing in young people's lives i was teaching them how to really serve the lord and you know i left that and came here to marry paul and i was literally stuck in our our apartment and i remember just really feeling kind of at a loss and and asking the lord lord you know did i make the right decision not marrying paul but i mean i think feeling the the feelings of just not knowing exactly what god wanted me to do with my life and i didn't find much purpose just staying at home and cooking for paul and watching his clothes um so that was a tricky time for me and what really got me out of it was i think really talking to the lord about it and really asking him lord what do you want me to do and you know god views my dear husband and he actually you know challenged me he's like hey jenny why don't you get out and do something he's like hey there's a camp coming up with singles why don't you be a counselor i'm like what no no no i don't think so but he you know he really encouraged me you know get out and serve and so i did very reluctantly but i went out and i was a counselor at this camp and i met a great group of girls and from that i was able to start discipling them and that was my my journey again of seeing that you know god could use me anywhere in the world it just it really stemmed from me taking a step and being proactive and really serving thanks sweetheart i'm glad that you didn't lose your purpose because you married me it's just what you're going through um for me you know um as many of you know uh lumoke in a family that um really loved the lord my dad was a pastor um surrounded by people like my mother who are always so positive and always have such a great perspective in life so i grew up with a great model of uh what a purpose uh filled life looks like and a life centered on christ and then you know i'm marrying jenny you see jenny naman um five years old balancia when she came to the philippines [Music] so even jenny's background is a family full of people that really love the lord so we've been surrounded around uh with around people like that so i guess my struggle with purposelessness was more like i've i've always um been in the corporate world like working right so um there was a season in my life where i felt that god would actually be happier with me if i was a missionary because again that's that's what i saw and you know i really look up to my dad being a pastor also and he was he was both for many years right a pastor and businessman um but i i wrestled with that but then you know god used a conference at ccf to remind me that the mission field is the marketplace that's where god has placed me in and barangay is giving me a unique opportunity to to be to reach people that would never go to church and so that really helped shape my purpose in life in that season of life fast forward to this pandemic i would say during this pandemic i also wrestle with with not purposeless per se but you know questioning um well is this really my purpose because i find and i i found and i still find the genuine pressure from the genuine problems [Music] we feel uh we feel i feel like running to something else and i i praise god for his word because i had so much uh i guess challenges at work with one of the the businesses that we were doing um that you know i i was able to get out of that trap of wanting to just escape wanting to just leave um by going back to god's word and so it was a time that i started journaling you know i have a little notebook here and i would actually write in my bibles if you look at my bible when i read in the morning i was really looking to god for answers about the situation that we were in and i praise god for his word because he really he really spoke to me and i had people in my life also that i talked to and i'll never forget what one of the the wise men in my life said that pastor jim welchel he's one of those wise guys he said paul if you're thinking about going into ministry never go into ministry because you're running away from something you know you go into ministry uh you know in terms of a full-time basis because you're being called into it and you know i realize you know god has still called me to be in the marketplace this is where he's placed me right now and i need to embrace the role that god has given me and embrace the challenges that we face continue to face in this pandemic and being in god's word having godly people around me and responding in faith and i started trusting god literally that lord you said you're gonna provide so um show me show me what you're gonna do and i have so many answered prayers that i can share with you but i don't have enough time but god really has taken me on quite a journey um with him and i'm really grateful that uh he's called me to where we're at so that's a little bit of um the journey we're on we wrestle with this topic regularly but we've we praise god for his word and people in our life and each other you know obviously i was talking to my wife about this and she'd be like are you serious you know what are you really thinking about this um because i you know i was i was wanting out so well thank you for that thank you for that paul and jenny actually a hearing from your story you know cj was uprooted from a world that she she has gotten used to and she she loved and you know both your families are christ-rooted but folks those of us those of you are watching right now even their families even if they're christ-rooted if even if they're christ-centered they were not accepted from that feeling of it on purpose [Music] i just want to thank you paul and jenny for being so transparent tonight and we'll hear more from you later as we uh throw in more questions to you but tonight babe i think we should introduce our second panelist our tagalog preacher for last sunday next panelist nathan why don't we call on brother julius rayala now julios is one of the youth coordinators of ccf and currently serves as the elevate national church satellite coordinator and has been serving god in a full-time capacity for almost 10 good years he recently completed his biblical studies at the igsl he currently leads young professional and young couples small groups he's married to his beautiful wife bianca for more than four years and is the father of two wonderful kids julia and daniel hello julio just here with you tonight hello uh your inspiration how you were an inspiration when you were so dedicated with your family alumni group with [Music] why do you think purposeless is a toxic reality nowadays [Music] or somewhat your vision of what god has in store for us simply because of the disruptions that's happening [Music] and most of the time we always thought that happiness is the ultimate goal in this life and because of this toxic reality name is and we forgot and one of which is that uh to be salt and light especially for our family [Music] [Music] [Music] ministry or young youth ministry nothing ladies and gentlemen but most more specifically ladies please welcome dashing young gentlemen paolo lim paolo is a graduate of dlsu he took up ds entrepreneurship he's currently working for their family business called cosmo care he is also spearheading the phil chai youth ministry of elevate called the neighborhood the neighborhood yeah he loves to play basketball spending time with his family and serving the lord in any way that he can welcome paulo [Music] okay [Music] the pandemic helped you re-evaluate your purpose in life so walk us through so how did this all happen okay hello so hi thanks paul and claire for the intro and question [Music] [Applause] [Music] etc and basically no one is accepted and no pandemic and i know a lot of teens like me [Music] [Applause] [Music] and it reminded me that first is talagang we need to ask ourselves if like and young prayer is really important some of us can say whenever we feel purposeless we keep on trying our best to find our purpose to the point now we end up finding it in the wrong places are wrong places our own communities our own venues that's why we have to pray because god will give us directions so first is i prayed then accession identity identity in anatomy and super thankful house of parents no high school lagging and [Music] i was reminded by my parents the leaders divosco that my main purpose is really to go and make disciples and when jesus says go he means in the after pandemic in the next year in the next time so ccf saktor and uccf they introduced this program called go viral which everyone knows about it and because of that program me and my friends started this ministry called the neighborhood so it's a field chai ministry focused on high school and college students and in that ministry and among friends exercise young purpose naaman to really bear fruit to really share christ to improve ourselves since we ourselves are still sinners and to really go and make disciples and now looking back it's really through christ's power and strength that enables me and my friends to really live out your purpose [Music] mom and dad if you're watching thank you for guiding me and for praying for me too yeah so what about your perspectives naman and singles ministry representative nathan tonight we have as a representative for big we have miss reya rojas reya has been with big since 2016 she is serving with the steering committee of the ministry in charge of satellite coordination pero alumni she is currently working at a local bank as a credit reviewer so habang b singh business abanko b singh business ministry and aside from big she also serves in the workplace ministry leading a group of women helping them draw closer to the lord through his word and to use their god-given gifts for his purpose she loves spending time with her nieces right and she likes trying learning and experiencing new things hello rhea with you tonight so this is our question for you part of being purposeful is setting goals for ourselves [Music] and your story shows that there are goals that aren't as important as others can you please elaborate on this one okay so when i was younger shampre fresh out of school shamramal goldscholage is you know to get a good position at work to have a certain lifestyle to to to have savings and all that and then [Music] is it for me or is it for the lord because the hat nagina gowakon bc musical like you said i have this ministry it's a big i have workplace ministry i have my own job i have my family of course i need to minister to my family as well pero i forgot that to ask is that lord is this what you want me to do and then um soon recently just to share um in my heart it's really important that we need to check our heart regularly because i i failed to get a promotion um we sent a few few years ago and then so [Music] [Applause] [Music] it's because of my pride it's because of my sense of entitlement and then recently i also got repurposed you know dahil pandemic a lot of companies are you know so i got repurposed to another team and i said the panos and then i really prayed hard and i said lord i will trust you and i will surrender everything to you and i will bloom where you blank me it doesn't matter my goal is to glorify you in everything that i do because ultimately i work for you so it's not about what i could do but it is about what i am graced to do so i think for me i i know how much god loves me and i just want to share that love to others may it be at work may it be a ministry and of course i'm not perfect i still struggle with a lot of things but being anchored in jesus it really helps a lot it gives you peace it gives you direction [Music] when you're in that life stage single i know single stage but the question will always be on but thank god encountered and she she learned how to find her purpose in god i think we need to complete our panelists tonight with our power couple guests oh it's so it's really a privilege to be joined by this couple tonight for newly married couples like me and paul the bahama couple goals and aside from our spiritual grandparents paul and jenny italian okay ladies and gentlemen please welcome team kramer collectively known as steam crater they are one of the most beloved most followed families in the world all across their social media platforms but you know what really blesses us most about them is that they really love god and they want to be able to obey him and his principles in the way they raise they're already amazing three children cute kendra scarlett chakasi gavin so welcome tonight doug and jessica sharks hi hi good evening uh thanks for that nice intro paul and claire grabbing them [Applause] at what point did you find your purpose how important has this purpose been in your life i knew first okay so um you know i didn't think much of purpose before indication ini when i was single in fact many times when i was single i was just doing what i had to do all of my goals were just for me lord never going to escape nagging part no equation see god's a life number one so everything was always very selfish my life really changed when i became a mother when dog when we were boyfriend and girlfriend doug invited me to go to bible study invited me to go to church but i really really struggled that's the truth in fact why am i always falling asleep because i realized when i became a wife and i became a mother that god was not number one in my life so whatever he was saying to me it wasn't making an impact so when i became a mother god really touched my heart i really felt god's love for me when i held my child for the very first time and because of that love that i felt from god there was an eagerness to really get to know who this god is i wanted to know you know i wanted to know why he blessed me so much why he gave me this family that i once upon a time only dreamt of and um once upon once upon a time um prayed for and right before my very eyes i could see my simple little family because it was just dog and i and our baby and you were living in a small condo but i was so so happy simple chapero i felt so fulfilled and i said lord god you know starting from now on i want to dedicate my life to you i want to be the best mom and i want to be the best wife not just for dog and for kendra but i really want to be the best for you will you please guide me will you please show me well i am not the best because you know i also have my flaws and i'm not the best kind of mom but you know um god puts me in that proper perspective in his perspective and that is why i can love my husband i can serve my children because i'm always thinking i'm doing this for the glory of the lord and one day when i see god in heaven i want i don't want them to ask me oh what did you do with your life you know uh did you give your best for me were you able to glorify me and the things that um i gave you so till this very day always remind myself you know god has given me such a privilege and i want to do good for my god i really want to serve the lord in everything and in fact you know um i was struggling um during this pandemic uh when it comes to feeling more purposeful not for myself but for the lord they're safe saying lord my work everything is going relevant for us i feel empty again and then you know in my prayer god is god impressed in my heart you're working pedo anger and so i said lord how can i work when i'm stuck here at home and it's so hard to go around and then god reminded me with your husband what more the women there why don't you reach out to them why don't you start something you know what i was thinking of doing i know of doing like a workout worship uh time with the girls in our d group i'm so hesitant because it's a commitment i want when i'm committed i'm really committed so sabine doug why don't you do it honey and i said i have to pray harder because i can't back out once i do this for the lord i have to give my best i have to be committed to really form this group with these ladies so finally my last workout last week i was convicted again oh you're working out then you're thinking of the girls why don't you invite them now and then so i messaged all of them and they said hey ladies you guys want to work out and sweat the week out together and you know um enjoy and catch up us ladies only us women without the boys so that's the game that games so i started this group with my d group members and it's called um well i call them we call ourselves women of god we call it weekend worship work out so every saturdays we get together we worship first and then we work out and then i we remind each other different accountability um partners we're all here for each other this is our support group and you know god is our um boss and we are accountable to him and you know it has fulfilled me more than um all of the other jobs that god has given me yes lord i am really your employee and so happy to serve you so young we took up all the time now sorry sorry sorry so for me um i think when i found my purpose is actually when i thought i was being being misled into thinking some of the things that i wanted growing up was my purpose and you know i've always aspired to be become a professional basketball player and i thought that was my purpose and i'm sure a lot can relate because they think that whatever career you're going that you're going to pursue you'd think that that is your purpose another purpose that i thought i was going to have was to provide for my family even to my parents our loved ones i thought that was my purpose but then i just realized i'm so young i'm 38 i retired two years ago there's still so much life to live basketball is not my purpose my our career should never be our purpose and and i believe that during the time especially towards the tail end i started to ask myself also what is what is my purpose and i realized and i had so much realizations when god granted me my wife she was an answered prayer when she went when god gave me our children my calling is really to be the best husband and to be the best father to them and that's why i believe that we have such a powerful influence on social media and to our direct family because i think people have seen that for us family is first ministry always and i believe that once we influence our kids once we influence our siblings i believe that everything will follow because they have their own circles and it all started for me for us together as husband and wife and how i was to my to our children so you know i'm not the perfect father i'm not the perfect husband but i strive to be because i believe that when you ask god for something when you pray for something sometimes you forget it's an answered prayer and it's right in front of you already but for me i never forget that he answers my prayer every single day and i believe that and that's why i take to heart when i when i'm with my wife when i'm with my children family is my first ministry and and through this family we have started something in social media which we never anticipated i mean 11 million on facebook is not even something that we could have dreamed about and for us when we how we are on social media is how people know us face to face and when they see that why is there this family that is functioning what what is behind team kramer and it's simple god is at the forefront of everything for us our relationship the way the way we raise our kids and we get so much messages from ofw's from so much couples and they get so blessed because they see wow in a world where broken relationships broken families you know we can see that if you have god in your life family is something that god will bless you immensely and for me it's a blessing that i value every day and it's it's a journey every day is a journey and and i'm we have accountability towards each other you know when i'm down she brings me up when she's down i bring her up and it's it goes round and round and it's just an honor you know to have this kind of social responsibility and even my responsibility as a father and husband to chesca so that's where i found my purpose wow wow very wonderful answers and we want to thank the claimers now seecheska was talking about selfishness and priority how it plays a a role eventually in you in her figuring out her her purpose in the motherhood in her marriage you know it was a wake-up call for dog realizing that the career is not a purpose the goals the three-point shots you know all these all these medals and recognitions achievements uh it leaves so much still [Music] but but that transformed the kramers in a world full of dysfunctionals the claimers are already setting a goal now functioning this family is functioning only by the grace of god and so people have a model to follow people have someone to emulate i think we're learning so much i am so full thank you team kramer for that so we want to throw in some of our top questions to paul and jenny first we have a top question being voted in our zoom tonight and the question is this how do we know that we are pursuing god's purpose not just our own desires so paul and jenny can you be the one to answer this question that's a great question um sweetheart you want to begin we were talking about it we saw it on the list yeah that is a great question and i think you know it can be tricky at times you know because i think sometimes when we pray we pray with the um wanting our way right rather than maybe really relying on the holy spirit to direct and guide us but i was just mentioning to paul i think you know as christians and the creamers talked about this you know our life should demonstrate christ's likeness and i think it's that's really our number one purpose as a christian and you know the bible actually is very specific in a couple things that really talk about our purpose and one of those is really to make disciples to have that personal relationship with jesus christ and to really make disciples and another one is to really live out the fruits of the spirit so being a person of joy a person of patience of kindness all of those things those that's that's our purpose and that's what we need to show the world and you know praise god for doug and chess club because that's something that they're doing and god has really given them that platform but you know just i i think you know sometimes we also fall into the the trap or the lie like you know what i'm not an influencer you know i don't have a platform what can what can i do right but i think you know the beauty is god has given each one of us you know a specific purpose and even using that that you know making disciples living out the fruits of the spirit being christ-like you know god has given you a family you know that's your family that's not someone else's family so you have purpose and really living out christ to them um you have also you know if you're married like doug and chesca are saying your spouse your children your extended family i mean there's so many people that only you can really influence that's wonderful sweetie and i'm just going to add really quickly um whoever asked that question i want you to imagine a funnel right you know how to funnel this right it's pretty wide top and it gets narrow and narrower until it's like a focus focus spout that goes out and i think purpose is very much like that wherein you know you have god's general word and you know that we're we're all made to to glorify god right so that's if you're not glorifying god you already know that's not god's purpose for you right but if you're glorifying god um this is the second thing you need to you need to um really ask yourself you know um where can i be most used by god to be a blessing to others and you may not actually know the answer to that especially if you're a young person and i just want to encourage you you be faithful wherever it is that god has placed you and i think somebody said this i can't remember who in the panel but you be faithful where god has placed you you'll be obedient to him you live your life to please him and i've always taken comfort that god wants me to know his purpose more than i want to know his purpose so if you go with if you walk with the lord daily and you live to please him and you're open-handed that's open-handed sometimes we hold on to something so tight this is what jenny was saying is you know is this my purpose now or is it god's purpose but if you're open-handed before god then you you let god direct your life and he will direct you you just obey him one step at a time he said my word is a light unto your path that's a lamp it's not a spotlight it gives you he gives you enough to know what to do for today what to do for tomorrow and especially in this pandemic anything can change right i mean we've all made plans and it's just like what's going on nothing is going according to plan but when you walk open-handed with the lord and you walk with him he will guide you you just do your best to please him whatever season whatever um area that you are in right now in life you just do your best to be able to to obey god to please them and to be a blessing to others always ask yourself what can i do to have the most impact in the life of another person wherever you're planted and i assure you you'll experience the funnel and you will one day look back and you're like oh i never knew that god had called me to do that so hope that answers your question thank you so much paul and jenny i think yes it's really important that every day we just ask the lord lord what do you want me to do today right and we just want to thank you also for the reminders the things that we can reflect on and hold on to and again all pointing to god foreign now for our next question for brother julius okay this is an anonymous question from one of our participants okay so i i know my purpose in life to make disciples and to live for god's glory in whatever i do but i find it monotonous lately to pursue such things given that um we are not able to gather in church and we have lesser fellowship i know the church is us but it is just hard for me to endure knowing corporate worship goes beyond the screen do you feel the same and how do you cope brother julius well grabby um you know this question i believe it's really a question for most of the christians nowadays who is the source of your joy second how can you really endure and what is or who is the object of worship now the first thing that you need to do um to be honest it's it's really a constant struggle for many even for myself i say when when we talk about your physical worship but the excitement was there you know even preaching in front of camera or um and i i personally believe it's really it really gives you excitement joy you know happiness but you know looking at this question um finding your purpose nothing or your satisfaction it's not really from the church gatherings or activities but it's always uh can be found once a relationship with the lord or passage ephesians 1 17 i pray that you know god better the more that we are closer to god the more we anchor our joy in him not to our works not to the works of other people not even to the company of other people it's not because i'm making disciples that's because i'm happy because sometimes even though you're doing it doing church works if you're doing that i mean for straight catalan and the joy will not be there in this journey you should always place it on the finished work of jesus always go back or because you are getting the accolades from other people that you are making disciples you are getting the praises of your league of leaders disciples keep it up so young joy malik buddha grace because when you go online and they are asking what's the reason behind this and they don't know christ and if we are really close enough to know for you to be able to find your purpose is to go to jesus be closer to god you know him better now you endurance yes we are called to encourage one another but if you will see it's not really poland claire it's not really me or poltanchi or the cravers who will give you that endurance but if you go in the bible and therefore we need to acknowledge that of course my ambagio we need to acknowledge that for us to endure this race that has been set before us we need to acknowledge that lord i need your divine power i cannot do this on my own even if you are surrounded with the groups if you are not connected with god and you will give your best not because you want to be satisfied but because you are already satisfied enough suppresses [Music] of the apostles because of the grace though as a verse then but i lay word even more than all of them yet not i but the grace of god with me in other translations you know as i look at grace and the other apostles i'm the least because of the grace of god i mean i labored so much now going back people gonna think we labored so much in this challenging time not because we want to be satisfied not because we want to be praised or not even thinking that we will get more favor with god you know god's love for us is constant it never ends and it's perfect there's nothing you can do for god to love you more or love you less and your mentality lord satisfy your sister i have my purpose in you and you are my joy your strength will help me to endure are you not passionate sorry get it away okay you know the purpose his plan his promises amen amen thank you for that reminder brother julius and thank you for you know telling us to consider her source of joy source of endurance the object of our worship which is at the source of our power these are crucial things to think about these are crucial things to talk about and many people okay brother julius many people still need jesus christians then i claim are you ready for your question there's a question here and the question is like this where do you think many single professionals look for purpose today and how do you redirect that to the right purpose okay so i i think for for a lot of singles it will always be super main categories would be money power influence and of course relationships so and i think no matter how good these things are or the best things in life should never be the ultimate thing in your life but pursuing these things will never bear fruit i don't go in that and even with the best intention so it's really important so to break the cycle we need to change our mind shift and to me say i know personally i always go head heart and hand so good in a home process so um how do we redirect um to the right purpose for me understanding that time is finite um paralyzed by fear future or we just go go go go no nothing and also and i think um i think this was mentioned already then our actions have consequences so we need to learn to prioritize and to choose well we need to understand that and then of course um to start with our why we are not what we do our purpose is god wants us to be and how will we know that it's really seeking god first in everything that we do we come to him in prayer we meditate in god's word we obey in faith and then after mahiki and i think lastly it's okay to start small he named we build our habits intentionally and consistently so do your quiet time your prayer time attend sunday worship you know do your d group for me the group helps a lot both my upline and my downline um big helps a lot in my growth as well so for me using your resources and talents to further the kingdom of the lord that he can redirect your energy belongs to time so you can join big you can serve in church you can and i'm a diamond ministry inappropriate most importantly you can minister to your family and your friends people and um i remember paul said this um no sunday sometimes we will be knocked down before we know what our fight is and how to fight so even if mean sign makes a struggle it's really important that we press on and injure because we know underlying purpose and it's really to share god's love to everyone and if you know how much god loves you but it's the best gift we can give someone god's love amen and amen thank you so much riya for that uh wonderful answer i think it's very inspirational to our singers head heart hand you seek god first in everything we do and you know your pastor our senior pastor is listening to our conversations and he just recently uh reminded me not to to remind everybody that the overarching purpose for us followers of christ is given in a statement called the great commission and and jesus showed that example he knew his purpose he knew why he came on earth jesus came here on earth to seek and to save the loss and most of us i think all of us christians yes we follow jesus attitude and we are also looking forward to seek and introduce other people who do not yet know christ to introduce them to christ and start their best life ever so dial john we want to ask uh the next question to paulo paolo marami naga i where do you think many teens or young people look for purpose today and how do you redirect that to the right purpose so can you can you can you answer all of those in in in one go sherman man i'm because they like me before parang we really find our purpose uh wrong things like gaming or worldly things to the point now we enjoy how the world wants me or us to enjoy it college life so how i decide on things way back before so before long for an along side like sobrang young life recycle it like after school i go to party then to my parents i'll try to change i'll try to surrender everything to god then eventually as i work my relationship with god life choices my sets of friends and community who really helped me go through that process you have to stay away from your closest friends back on to have life and to have it abundantly so indeed jesus and thank you paolo for that that answer no and um yeah i also agree with something that will glorify him something that is according to his purpose for our lives the replacement is coming but i do hope i do hope whatever was taken away from you you have already replaced it with great satisfaction in christ and actually since you've mentioned a young main purpose is to reach out and you know feel good right now no so since god your old friends alive congratulations since i've changed you it's your tournament to because that's the story of the apostle paul always always his past is being brought to him but he fixes his eyes on jesus and that's what's important i would now want to ask this question so i hope they're here they're ready to answer this question i think they've been following you doug and cheska with how you have brought up uh your children devastating sickendra si how are you helping instill a sense of purpose in your kids early on and how responsive have they been made difficulties encounter as parents doug and cheska well um we with doug and i can say we try to um agree now we shouldn't i don't put it on our kids we start off by really modeling to them they know how important time is with the lord they see us that doug and i we we pray separately we pray together um bible time is important to us my quiet time is important and you know surprisingly these things that their children see they pick up as well so they also have their quiet time they also pray in fact one of our daughters she's already leading her bible study group she has her d group already and um she sees that because she sees doug and i leading our own d group and you know when you're young you're very bold you wanna whatever you learn whatever you know you're you're so ready to to share because you believe in it so much and you know we always encourage our children that you know life is so much more than just finding out the college that you want to go to you know what what occupation you want to do later on in life it's really knowing what god wants for you and papa are not there you have to ask yourself is this what god wants does this glorify the lord if i do this what will god say and always all the time if if you know the answer is no then you know it's the same thing for your parents and i think through that with training them and and sharing to them asking god first in everything that they do um helps them to navigate um if it's something that pleases the lord or not and um you know again it's one thing for you to to say to your children what to do but it's another thing and it's a different story when they see that you're really doing it so you really have to model it and you know sometimes we make our mistakes and sometimes you know we also have our flaws as parents but it's also important that we come back to them and you we explain things to them and we we apologize to them when it when needed to apologize right honey yeah and i think it's very important also for us because you know the kids especially si kendra she's been there since you know we were living in a small place and we always want to reinforce to our kids nah god blesses us to bless others and i can see that even through kendra she's 12 years old right now how she wants to be a blessing to others and jessica touched touched up on it where she said that kendra's leading her own her own bible study with her friends you know i had to sit down with kendra and i told her you know you don't want to act like you know everything because you really don't neither does papa or mama but whatever you know whatever parables you want to share whatever bible stories or lessons i will sit down with you and i will help you how you can go through your bible study and it's amazing it's kind of embarrassing for us to say we started leading our bible study just last year kendra started at 12. i'm like come on does anybody have any excuses in trying to reach out to the people in your life and and they're growing yes she uh she has 20 members in their d group and you know little by little she's been encouraging her the group members to also learn to share so what she does is um she will share for for um two weeks and then after that she will assign her other d group members to also share so that they could also share to their siblings to their cousins so there's there has been there's this mission for her also to really serve the lord and it's again by example right yeah and it's and it's not when you lead bible study it's not showing that you know a lot it's actually you want to learn from others as well because you know you don't know everything and i feel like kendra has seen that with us and she took it upon herself without us saying can relate your bible study no she said papa one day you know i invited five of my friends we're doing a little bible study can you download this chord from me because we're going to do it there so for me modeling is very important you have to be very intentional as parents to to do this because your kids will always follow what you do more than what you say so we take that to heart amen amen you know that's inspiring huh thank you so much uh jessica and doug for for giving us a blueprint when we eventually become parents we will imitate your strategy now ladies and gentlemen i know you have more questions but we're down to our last one and we want to invite all our quick parting statements about purpose please make this short like two-liner statement so we'll be calling you in order we'll start with paulo and then reya and then the kramers julius and then paul and jenny so we start with you paulo quick parting statement about purpose okay so it's uh for sure he will direct use a purpose for you and in the end talagang in christ we have our own purpose in christ we really can find our own purpose so for me amen thank you pao i think we'd call raya so sipa was talking about um in christ we will find our purpose what about yuria for me it's always you always think about and everything that you do who are you becoming are you becoming the person god intended you to be so let us not destroy god's work in us and through us with all the work that we do it's really important that we anchor ourselves in jesus and no name purpose will always prevail right and what we do is always to love god above all else and to love others thank you it's very important that we really find our identity in the lord and fulfill his calling for our lives next we want to call on the kramers team creamers me first i think you know it's really being proactive in your growth in christ how of course bible time is so important and then growing your relationship through reading the bible and spending time in prayer having your accountability group and then you know from there god guides you in the bible is god's word right and in there you find how god wants you to lead your life how god wants you to grow your life and how god wants you to um really um reach out to other people what about you yeah i agree with that but before doing that you need to weed out distractions in your life first because those distractions can actually it might come off as being purpose but it's not so weed it out and then follow what jessica said yeah thank you for that double step no team kramer with keep that in mind brother julius your last words stay connected with jesus of course and uh don't waste your time trying to seek you mysterious purpose wherever you are right now um subbing up always give your best as if everything depends on you and then leave the result to god trust him as if everything depends on him and i believe that's our purpose so so you know stay connected give your best right now [Music] do your best and god will do the rest okay now can we call on paul and jenny you know i agree with everything that all the panelists have said and just on a practical note and this is something i encouraged my d group ladies i said you know i think it starts simply by just praying every morning and just asking the lord lord how can i fulfill your purpose today and i think you know when we like paul was saying earlier when we're open-handed like that i think the holy spirit will speak to us very personally and i think then after that as the holy spirit speaks to you about your purpose for that day you obey thank you sweetie um yeah it's really been a joy to be with all of you i learned so much from you guys you know uh doug and jessica um i didn't start leading a bible study until i was in uh in college and uh you know for those parents out there your your children have their own timetable you know it's it's amazing that kendra is doing what she's doing at her age praise god for that i asked my dad how how did you raise us dad um you know he prayed for us but as young kids he taught us you know the important things in life about you know putting christ at the center um being disciplined and like doug and jessica said you know as as you model what it means to to love jesus somehow in our own time all of us children have grown to really want to serve the lord so my parting words for for all of you guys is you know what is the greatest thing that's ever happened to you and for me and for my wife it's really coming to know the lord and that's why with jesus his last words to his disciples was really go and make disciples of all nations and because that's the greatest thing that's happened to you jesus says he wants his joy to be in you he wants you to experience the fullness of joy and you experience that when you have jesus in you and and when you know jesus and you live to please jesus so the best thing you can do with your life today is to live your life in such a way that you actually can talk about jesus and it's not like you have to share the gospel every time but you should always be helping people take one step closer to knowing jesus to loving jesus and letting them know who he is because he is the greatest thing that has happened in in our lives and he is the greatest joy so thank you everyone amen amen thank you paul and uh paul later on will call you to close us in prayer
