[Music] why are you making fizzy it should be so good this is what she used to get back in the day i love it hi everyone in today's video we are letting mom decide my boba drinks i'm so excited because i haven't had good boba drinks for a long time mom i need boba for you i mean out there okay sure anyway me and mom have very different tastes so i i am very nervous about this actually don't be nervous anything you cannot finish i will finish it so i know you guys have been missing having mom on the channel you know she's a very busy life but luckily today she put aside some time to film a video so we are going to head into the first place which is cafe fantasia i want to get this taro drink it's the one that we used to get when i was a kid right yeah so yeah let's hope that they still have that drink and let's head on in [Music] okay so we just went to fantasia as you can see mom went a little rogue because she got very interested in one of the items there that's a new thing so it's a new thing why don't you tell them what you got this is a hot jelly with taro ball and flan and what's the red one i think wrappy that's right wait this is hot grass jelly high question yes so what did i say hot jelly and this one is hot taro milk with taro balls yeah so that's the thing we came for mom why did you pick such a hot drink when it's so hot outside because i didn't think it was gonna be that hot today and then you also got a hot dessert too oh wait oh yeah yeah actually there's a lot of taro balls in here they were pretty generous with it nice that's nice wow you like it tastes very similar to how it used to tell me if you also think it tastes the same as before i love it i still love it yeah it's just as good as before i think it's nice because it does have like that fresh taro flavor and then it's like not too sweet and then the char balls are very chewy definitely still my favorite so the first one that you picked is uh is a good one all right i'm gonna try some of the hot grass jelly hmm this is not that good yeah this one's a bit disappointing in my opinion in that case we just have to go to meep fresh later mom knows that i'm paying for everything today so she's gonna go wild all out here why don't you try this one right yeah the grass jelly at meat fresh is definitely more silkier it has a stronger grass jelly flavor what do you think yes so we got one hit and one miss but to be fair that one you didn't know if it was good or not you just wanted to try it all right so we have many more places to go because like i said mom is going all out so let's head to the second stop where mom is gonna pick my boba drinks [Music] okay so we just stopped by tapioca express and i've been telling them about how you used to take me there after piano listen if i did well yeah right so this is what she used to get back in the day which i don't like i know that i don't like it because when i was a kid i would try some and i was not a fan it is red plum snow bubble i love it i wasn't sure if they would still have it because the last time you got this was probably [Music] at least 15 years ago 15 years ago oh yeah and mom was very obviously other people like it too i don't know about that and then we also had to get a popcorn chicken because we used to classic yeah we used to get that all the time and i've been eating a lot of popcorn chicken lately and this one still has a very distinct smell to it and you can tell it's tapioca express popcorn chicken so i'm really excited to do that but we gotta do the business first yes look how excited she is and she got also got lychee jelly in it which you didn't used to do that but today i don't know she was in the mood hopefully it'll help it for me maybe it tastes bad change yeah okay maybe and of course we have our feed may may boba straw link in the description okay ready i'm so scared okay oh my gosh this is gonna be good okay here goes nothing you know actually the lychee jelly helps well because the first thing i drink is the the plum right but then you get the lychee jelly after because it's at the bottom and it helps it because lychee jelly is very strong flavor so it actually helps kind of neutralize the grossness roseness is gusta why are you twitching your eyes because it's very it has this like sour taste that i don't like and like this other i don't know i'm not a plum suanmei person but she is i will gladly hand that over to you okay hey there's too much lychee jelly well why don't you pull the straw up and try and drink it from the top is that better yeah then you can really taste this one may are you happy very good this popcorn chicken is seriously just as good as i remember so crispy on the outside juicy how's it good yum yum yum so so far we have one hit which was the taro milk drink and then one miss for me obviously they're a hit for me but we still have a few more places to go that mom wants to get her favorite drinks at so let's head to the third stop [Music] alright so we just stopped by me fresh because mom figured that they have a lot of toppings for you to choose from and this woman loves her toppings yeah more than the tea there used to be this place in socal that we would always visit that has like a self-serve boba bar so they have all these different boba drink options to choose from and it's all self-serve and then on top of that they have all these toppings to choose from and that's all self-serve too so what mom would do is she would go there and fill her cup 95 with toppings and 5 would drink mom your cup is getting really full of topping don't you want some drinks [Music] i think mom is cheating the system here it's fresh jelly in my favor we got some milk tea and some toppings boba and pudding and this is mom's drink look at that that's how you say for yourself mom i love my pudding she's trying to achieve that same thing by loading up all the toppings in here and then we even got a separate little thing of almond pudding because they didn't have that as an option to add into the drink for some reason what kind of place is that so we've ordered the pudding milk tea we added the grass jelly the melon jelly and the boba boba and caramel pudding caramel pudding and mini taro ball i think this drink itself was like nine dollars because of all the toppings we added yes yes yes it's still not enough so you want me to drink some of the drink to make way for the pudding right yeah [Music] a few moments later you think that's enough space no no still not enough no i drink so much of it okay drink some more eventually [Music] how's that okay that's good so this is the almond pudding and it comes with some red bean on there ah see mom there's more than enough space you kept telling me there's still what is your preferred method of drinking this through a straw or just with a spoon with a spoon so now with a straw let's try with a straw oh okay this is the official mom's way you can see all of those toppings there i think if you had it your way it would still have more toppings than this oh definitely so what see this is the thing where do you start do i just put it in all the way to the bottom okay i'll try to get a variety of different things how about that why are you making faces this should be so good i got pudding i got almond pudding i got boba i got mini taro ball and i got it and i got melon jelly all in one very good yeah yeah don't you think there's a little bit too much going on mom no this is perfect you got all this tremendously tasty stuff all in your mouth and you still have all different layer of flavor and texture it's just good together it's not your thing okay it's not i wouldn't say it's horrible right like the plum drink that was horrible but this one's great but this one i wouldn't order it ever again and i wouldn't prefer to drink it but if i took a few sips here and there i wouldn't mind it you know you it will grow on you oh mom this is good every surprise on in every sip a surprise and every sip i it's surprising i really like it yeah okay so we have one last stop that mom wants us to go to so let's head over there [Music] okay so we went to our last stop which was t4 and this is actually not specifically mom's favorite place for these drinks but they do have these two drinks that mom really likes so this one is peppermint milk tea and she originally had this one at gocha many years ago and it was like a christmas seasonal uh holiday drink yeah and then we also saw that they have an avocado smoothie mmm my favorite smoothie drink we actually have a favorite avocado smoothie place in san jose called coconut that's our favorite place to get it this is a little bit more yellowish huh yeah it's definitely not as green as the avocado smoothie we usually get okay do you want to do the honors of poking the whole oh mama oh mama mama oh yeah it's leaking mom quickly drink it that required some teamwork is good yeah refreshing oh refreshing yeah actually has a light peppermint taste i feel it's like kind of subtle-ish i mean you definitely taste it but it's not like super super strong or anything don't you think but i like it that way actually yeah you like it that way yeah now i'm gonna try the avocado smoothie it's like slightly avocadoy but not as much as the place that we really like definitely more of a faint flavor but i think since we got it at 80 sweet it's actually not that sweet which helps it taste more like avocado yeah a faint avocado taste that's the face of disappointment yeah disappointed kind of huh we'll have to go to the other avocado smoothie place to make up for it huh you know drinking that and then drinking this is like a pile of cleanser a little bit really you think so because it has that kind of like refreshingness to it right but do you think that this is as good as the one you got at koncha no no the goncho one's better yeah all right so this has been a full day of boba drinks that mom picked out for me this is so fun i like it mom actually doesn't drink boba very often at all despite me drinking boba constantly she actually never really drinks it unless i bring it home for her
