Let's Get Lit! Frankenstein - Chapter 8

[Music] hello hello and welcome back to let's get a lit so in this video we'll be discussing chapter eight of Frankenstein now please remember to watch the first seven chapters plus the letters so that way you guys are in the know of what's going on all right you guys ready awesome all right so in Chapter eight this chapter starts out with everybody in the house talking about Justine there are lady the trial which starts at 11 o'clock in the morning once there were 11 o'clock rolls around they all decide to go to the courthouse where the trial is held of course the trial starts the city basically tells everybody what the trial is about how Justine is accused of murdering William because of the locket that's found in her room and after a few minutes of all the opening introductions they allow for Justine to defend herself now she tells everybody that the night that William was murdered she went to her aunt's house to spend the night when she got back the next morning she found the locket in her room she does not know where it came from but she knows she didn't murder him after this she's allowed to have a few witnesses come up and and defend her well they were supposed to be friends of Justine's but when they started to talk they didn't really defend her they pretty much just floundered like fish they were stuttering and they were just too afraid Elizabeth who's sitting there and watching this isn't Paul I mean she's just really pissed so she stands up and she addresses the court and she tells them that she even though she may matter B even though she may be out of line she's gonna say what she has to say so she walks up to that Court and she says listen I have known this woman for 10 years she is raised William she has lived with us she is not the murderer there is no way she could have murdered William not at all and so Elizabeth addresses the court and Victor sitting and Victor is just he's so overcome by his anxiety and his grief because he knows who killed William but he can't say who killed William because if he says that he's gonna look crazy they're gonna throw him into a hospital and Victor just goes on and on and on inside his head about what if this isn't the first murder the monsters committed what if he's murdered more people what if what have I done and so Victor rushes out of the courtroom and he goes back home the next day William goes to the courthouse to see what the results were and according to the sheriff everyone casted her guilty everyone thinks that she did because apparently she confessed to the murder of Luna so he goes back home and he tells Elizabeth all about this she is devastated she cannot believe that Justine admitted to it because she didn't believe Justine did it a few hours later they get a letter from her asking for them to come visit her in prison so they do and when Elizabeth sees Justine she just cries I mean they both cry and cry and cry and Elizabeth is like I have to ask you did you kill William and Justine says that she didn't the only reason she confessed to it quote-unquote is so that maybe the court would grant her absolution but it didn't work everyone thinks she's guilty and she's gonna hang now for a crime that she didn't commit Justine asks Victor if Victor thinks that she committed the crime now Victor again in his own personal hell thinking about everything doesn't respond but Elizabeth speaks up and says no Victor does not believe you are the murderer so they talk for hours and hours and hours and Elizabeth and Justine are crying and this is the last time she's gonna be seen alive and right before they leave Justine wishes Elizabeth to have a happy life with no more misery and not to worry about Justin because Justine knows but in a few hours she'll be with William up in heaven so she's not worried about death and that's pretty much where this chapter ends the last thing you hear or you read in the chapter is that the next morning Justine was hung for the crime she didn't commit she died on the Hallows Hallows I believe its hell is she died by being hung and that's pretty much where chapter 8 ends so guys please remember to Like share and subscribe down below so that way you never miss content and please please please share with your friends that way our friendship can grow when we can have more subscribers Spencer that way more people can enjoy the content that we're creating all right guys have a great one and as always stay with [Music]
