I prepare a little sketch for you, and I'm gonna take you for all the steps and you know Talk along the way I also want to draw this. Before we jump into the drawing itself, I would love to share with you some of the most basic shapes Misfortune is made of. As you see, we have something like a pumpkin shape, the doggy ears, a triangle without a peak a double triangle upside down. There is a sausage And well, a square with a triangle and we’ll call it square shoe.. Here's a sketch I prepare for this occasion We’ll start by doing clean-up of it. Let’s start by doing the pumpkin. Nice and easy. Then we jump into the triangle without a peak for the coat . One of the arms is also a triangle is you look carefully. The other arm is a rectangle... Ops, I didn’t name that earlier. After that we do the doggy ears, you know? Like a puppy. Sweet ears. The same for Misfortune's hair. At the front she has 2 upside triangles with a little twist. On her head, the pink beret, that looks like a sausage. On her feet the square and a little triangle. But to give it more shape, we are going to change some of the angles. We follow the legs’ shape, Think they are like cylinders. Her legs are rectangles. And then we have the details on the jacket. Upside-down triangles. And now to fill in the colors! Carefully fill in the empty spaces with color. It's always nice to have a chunk of color to see if the shapes is a good one. When you can understand the shape without any details inside the shapes then we know that we are on the right path. Now, one to my biggest enemies… HANDS! For hands… Have patience and look at your own hands for reference. But yeah, it might take a while and it's okay! Just give it some love and you'll come out triumphant! Almost there... Just some more fixes... YES!!! I'm ok with this. *nervous laugh* Now to the eyes. Now to the eyes… Misfortune’s eyes are very circular… with her big eyelash on the side. Think of it like a triangle but with a little curve. Also, pupils are circles. But for this drawing, we want some expression! And for that we will give the eye the shape of bean. I flip the drawing to get some balance in the size of the eyes. If you are drawing this on paper, you can turn your paper, and put it against a window or a strong light so you can see through the paper, and you’ll have the flip effect. And now for the eyebrows. Misfortune’s eyebrows are also triangles… with small curves, can you see them? And the extra hair in the middle are small rectangles… for the most. As you see I’m using the same colour for the hair, eyebrows and pupils. The pupils are also round. And I also flip the canvas so I can find my balance. I’m having issues finding the light of these eyes… but after a few trials I think I’m feeling good with it. As for Misfortune’s eyelashes… Think of a cat eye liner or a triangle with curves… a little bit like horns too… Muahaha. I play around a little with details… Art for me is about playing around with colours and shapes. Now to the nose. It's a simple triangle without a base. And the mouth a circle cut in half… at least now she’s smiling big. And filling those teeth! Misfortune’s lips are like a heart shape… But since she is smiling, we’ll draw that heart a little stretched. Lips and shin have the same colour… And in this case I’m using same colour from the beret. Hmm, I think I have all grounds of this little lady. I’m going to jump into details on the clothing. I pick a dark blue to make the shadows in the jacket. Do the pocket, which is also a rectangle. Now the buttons. Simple circle. And for the stripes. Six stripes on the front. Two stripes on each arm. And now horizontal lines to make them into square patterns. And I add a little shadow to the beret as well. Sparkles time! First I do a messy cloud of pink! Mehssszyyyy! And I draw sparkles like dots and crosses. In different colours. For little Misfortune I used mostly while, pink, yellow and light blue. For the sparkle. Ah! And I also add some shadow under her shin… Aaaand... Voila! Sha-daan! *nervous laugh* Happiness to everything! And there we have it! Happiness to everything! *nervous laugh* And now...
