foreign [Music] good evening and welcome to hope our lives about school it is a class where we study and immerse ourselves in the word of God now before we dive deeply into the word of God let us pray [Music] thank you Mr Grace Father in heaven for this hour as we're going to study from your world please may send your Holy Spirit to come and be with us at the end may your name be glorified for these are many more hours in Jesus name okay welcome um this um quarter we've been looking at in Crucible with Christ in Crucible with Christ um this week we're going to be looking at Christ in The Crucible now when we talk about suffering it's easier to to say that God is in heaven and we are here on Earth uh going through the troubles and problems of this world but this lesson in this lesson we are going to see that God is Not Just In Heaven he was also in The Crucible this evening I have um panels of discussions with me on my left is Enoch Daniel and on my right is you're welcome to the class our memory text is taken from The Book of Matthew chapter 27 verse 46 please brother read it for us says and about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice saying any any llama sabachata that is my God my God why have you forsaken me so in fact from the introduction of the lesson we'll find out that The God Who created the heavens and the Earth lamented over being forsaken by God so it's not easy to be in The Crucible right now we are going to find out how Christ was in The Crucible um just like we've seen in the in the lesson in the introduction when Christ was in got so many he knelt down and cried my God my God why have you forsaken me okay so when we go through troubles and problems of this world let's not forget the creator of the world also went through the problems from the early days of Christ we will still find out that it wasn't easy for him he went through the Troubles of this world he wasn't born in a kingly home he was born in a manger as we read in the Book of Luke uh with chapter two of services and she brought forward with her husband's son and wrapped him in the struggling Pig and with him in the manger because there was no rule for them in 22 States and when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished they brought him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord and as it is written in the law of the Lord every meal but open it the womb Shall be Called holy to the Lord and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord a pair of turtle do or two young pigeons okay now from what we just read from Luke you rightly mentioned um in the lesson we are studying Christ in The Crucible the principle of Christ didn't just start at his adulthood it started right even before he was giving birth to he was give birth to in a manger and we all know as women we can relate to this very well when preparing when you're giving birth expecting there are a lot of preparations to make in order for this child to come you know be comfortable in a very neat and nice place buy a lot of things and a very comfortable home but when we see the case of Jesus it's something that is bothering because he was giving birth in a Manger in a place where no human being ever stayed talk less of a child giving birth you know how complicated our world is germs and all that we feel how will this child cope but that's where Jesus started his life journey in The Crucible he's actually started his life in principle so looking at that till oh he's adulthood he was still passing through a of Trials but then I it's something I never thought of it this way but now I know that Jesus started suffering right from the womb even you know so it's something for us to know that yeah [Music] [Music] human beings [Music] suffering yes so um when Christ grew up we'll also see that according to the Bible he had no comliness he had no Beauty to be admired by men so the Bible said he was despised and rejected so let's read that in the book of Isaiah chapter 53 verses 3. he is dispersed and rejected of men a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief and when he hit a as it was our face from him he was Despair and was we esteemed him not okay so how does that relate to be rejected how does that relate to being in The Crucible yes um from the original meant to understand that Christ was rejected and um it was something that and open thing that people showed even when they saw the truth in him he knew that he's the son of God and um to me I think they would have accepted him with but rejection came up and so many things even to the extent that um they wanted killing him at that moment but to so many miracles that happened God was saved and people really showed rejection and we can see even in the synagogue where he went to preach and explained to them when he read the word of God and he said that this um God has been fulfilled they were not comfortable about it could this be the Son of God why would he say such a thing so they decided to what to reject him and even wanted to kill him but God in a miraculous way was able to overcome it okay okay let me add a little to that um looking at when I was studying this lesson there is something I saw I saw a misunderstood and then leading to rejection hatred and people you came to save where doing that to him you know so how do we really really relate to that when we are being rejected when we are being misunderstood I just felt okay so Jesus actually went through this and in one way or the other in the church our pastors we misunderstand them in so many ways even there are deacons our deaconesses our you know Elders sometimes there is a misunderstanding on the way we do things and we name people you know we give them names because they have done certain things and we feel we don't really understand what they're doing and we are not okay with it you understand that it's it's very very sad for you to be misunderstood you know so I don't know if we can see that Christ also was being misunderstood he that he came to come and save us we still misunderstood him so if he could accept it and then live his life even a normal life and accepting you know that it was time that now proved Jesus was so if we have been misunderstood and let us know that let the misunderstanding be on what we know is true then God will vindicate us I think I'll leave it there so in other words if Christ was rejected and if Christ was not accepted or this if Christ was despised we as Christians you shouldn't feel like you shouldn't be I shouldn't feel downcasted yes that we are rejected by people if Christ The God Who created the heavens and the Earth felt rejected then who are we of course who face um the same objection now let's go we'll go to get so many and then we'll find one of the places where we see God shut tears or cry he cried to the father yes let's read that in Mark Chapter 14 verse 34. okay Mark Chapter 14 verse 30 unto death Terry here and watch now Jesus this is his words to you know his disciples where he needed them to be there for him and they did not understand what he was going through him being God he was sorrowful he dreaded the situation he found himself at that particular time he needed prayer so I look at it these days do we really pray or stand in the place of prayer for people who are going through difficulties if Christ could could um you know solicit for such then we need much more than that you know so we can over overcome our sorrowful situations only by prayer and then it goes to show that it is his strength as God Alone couldn't even help at that time he needed people who were close to him to stand in the gap for him it wasn't easy you know so I think you take a key from that we should intensify you know our prayers because the times are evil um I also want to add to that um we can see even Christ himself he knew what he was passing through yes um even the rejection you have seen and it's something that he knew would happen sure um he felt as if he was separated from god so let's look at it as humans we can also face that way when we are passing through Crucible we will just be as if oh I'm just left alone God is not that's why people ask questions God why me why me [Music] what do you know about me yes yes so I think at that moment we should encourage ourselves yes like I've said uh before we are like role model to others so some people are looking up to us like the moment you give up you're also making some people to lose hope so look up onto God and it will it will be a great success yes exactly now let's read what Ellen White said very powerful statement by Anna white is found in the book of deserve ages chapter um so if it is Page 686 it says Christ was now standing in different attitude from that which he had ever stood his suffering can best be described in the words of the Prophet awake oh sword against the shepherd and against the against the prophet against the man that is my fellow save the Lord of hosts as the substitute and the shorty of Simple Man Christ was suffering under Divine Justice he saw what Justice meant though he had been an intercessor for others now he longed to have an intercessor by himself so in other words Christ was the intercessor for people yes now he wanted somebody to intercede on his behalf so which means that nobody is beyond um offering intercessory prayer for and this lesson is telling us to always remember our leaders so don't think your leader is too big or too spiritual not to need an intercessor or an intercessor so let's remember to put our elders and our Pastors in prayer now let us see Christ crucify now to be crucified is one of the in the ancient time that's in the Roman time was one of the harshest and cruelest situation to begin so let's see Isaiah chapter 53 verse 6 what that place says okay 53 66 all we like or we like sheep have gone astray we have turned everyone to his own way and the Lord had laid on him the iniquity of us all so the Bible said the Lord lay what on him the iniquities of of us all how does that relate to being in The Crucible um let's see what's um really happened in the on the cross like you said from the introduction of the week um crucifying or form of punishment in such way is one of the harsh way of um displaying um um issues that have been done in the time then but um Christ wouldn't have passed through such thing we can see that here it says that by Chris crucification was one of the harshest punishment the Roman method out to anyone it was considered the worst way to die and this was harsh even for the walls of criminals how unfair then that Jesus innocence of everything to face such a faith um these are the things we should really appreciate and thank God that it came and passed if not that Jesus came to die and passed through this tribulation and trials and even dying on the cross in such a way we wouldn't have have Hope and Faith of his second coming so in other words we cannot say that because we are righteous will not suffer impossible right yeah let me add to that looking at it that crucified God when you when you see God when you say Jesus is like where we've become so familiar with saying Jesus died but what we say we now see God some people cannot come to terms with the fact that God came himself to die you know for our sins he is God he has all the powers all the authority he he could say no to it and for some people they will say there's a better way or there could have been other ways to do it since he is God but God being God he knows what to do to make the sacrifice Worthy of you know having ventured into you know and then go outside it's see so it calls for the efficient of what Christ on the cross for us so just like you said we need to meditate on that each time we go through the crucibles of life we must always remember that God passed through the same principle okay um the suffering God we've already introduced the lesson the suffering God now it's easy to say we as human sofa but look at God the creator of heaven and suffering himself let us see First Peter chapter 4 verse 13. but rejoice in as much as ye are particles of Christ's suffering that when his glory shall be revealed ye may be glad also with exceeding Joy Hallelujah I think this place is is a trying to bring us out of whatever we think we are going we've gone through that we should have a mind that is telling us that this suffering does not end here there is a glory waiting ahead of us that you're not just suffering for nothing that there is a price and when we think of the price it helps you to endure more in The Crucible you know like I always say when I when I think of what is awaiting Us in heaven The Mansions the glory and whatnot it helps me to because [Music] [Music] for this life okay you know the the lesson says to Glory and suffering is it easy to be to be glorious or to be happy in suffering it's not easy it's not easy one thing we should always put at the back of our mind is um nobody on this Earth that will not pass through Christopher nobody and the good thing is Christ have laid an example he has even passed through worst than we have even seen so if Christ passed through it and succeeded we can also pass through it because he said he will be with us through fire so what we should always have in mind is as we are passing through these principles these trials and this suffering we should always know that God is with us and we should always look at the price so look at the price yes the goal what you are aimed to get so that should give us a good motivation yes and it will strengthen us I always say this that it helped us to have more faith yes it gives us more strength so it make us to grow make us grow so the moment you pass through this Crucible you become much stronger so it will be when you come across it again it will be just a mere thing that you have seen before so you become stronger and you have more hope okay now um in this final minutes we have let's give a practical example and we'll be happy and suffering okay uh let me still take this um first Peter 4 13. that says um but rejoice in as much as ye are partakers of Christ's suffering now we are talking about a specific suffering not all sufferings because like I always emphasize we have the sufferings that we bring to ourselves to cause ourselves and there is a suffering that we have to suffer for Christ so if you know deep down within you that it is for Christ there is a future Glory there is a reward for waiting in the suffering of Christ so I think the the the the the hope there is that there is a reward that definitely whatever the situation is it would definitely end and what is the next life going to be like so there is a condemnation and there is a glorious life eternal so I think the reward is the Glorious life eternal give us your final word now we can be glorious or we can be happy in Fellowship within with Christ's suffering yes here he says um as we suffer we should remember the result of Christ's suffering that is what we have been promised through what Christ has done for us that hope that we have that some Christ will come back again no matter the suffering we are passing through it should soon be over which will soon be over just temporarily and um yes he said he has gone to prepare a place for us he'll come back so it's a great promise if not that Christ was able to succeed The Crucible he passed through that would have been understory for us but he was able to succeed so that means there is hope for us yes so which in other words we should look at the future yes hope so when we hope it's easy to go through suffering of the of what Jesus has gone through without complaining or without a murmuring there's a reward for everyone who has gone through suffering who has gone through the suffering of Christ just like you said not the suffering you put yourself through okay sometimes we put ourselves into uh inside or into problems but God wants us to partake suffering so viewers is the much you can take in the program thank you so much for joining us and we're rounding the quarter we are grounded the quarter with this lesson and I hope that it's been an inspiration to you who pray that God will bless you and bless your family in Jesus name amen so before we round up um Mrs ajayi is going to pray for us father appreciate you even for this lesson we thank you Lord God Almighty because you have said we should be hopeful in the suffering that we suffer for your sake for the sake of Christ help us oh Lord God Almighty to keep this in mind to ponder over it to meditate that Lord at the end of the day your name will be glorified and heaven will be ours to the glory and honor of your name for in Jesus mighty name we are praying amen [Music] thank you [Music] thank you [Music]
