hello everyone this is Legos latest version of the Corellian Corvette the rebel blockade runner the Tantive four the tantivee yes it's pronounced tantivee tantivee tantivee tantivee it doesn't look like it's spelled that way but that's tantivee the tantivee four the model is much larger than I personally expected it to be it's about 2 feet or 62 centimeters long the core structural skeleton of the build is very strong and very solid but honestly a lot of the details on the outside are relatively flimsy and a number of them are ready to be knocked off easily if you're not careful it looks great on display though and I think it's the best-looking and most accurate version that Lego has done of what was the very first spaceship to be seen in the original Star Wars movie the set comes with a Princess Leia with flowing robes with the skirt or a robe piece that is printed on the fret and on the back making this one of the more realistic depictions of a New Hope version of earlier New Hope version of Leia and there's her secondary face also in this set they give her a second set of legs just regular ones this time these have no print on them but this allows her to sit down or to be put into some action poses c-3po and r2d2 were definitely appropriate to include in this set but there's nothing fancy or special about these my r2 as usual has wonky printing for the head where it goes up and then it goes down and yeah it kind of bends around no arm printing for c-3po no dual molding for the leg that should be half silver you know nothing fancy about it but you know I think these are more than fine versions of these figures except for the wonky printing as usual for me for r2 here we have Captain Antilles on the left and a generic rebel trooper on the right who is unnamed I would have liked to see at least one more generic rebel trooper you know maybe with just a different face given that they are very massive characters and you know just associated with this ship there would have been many of them so I think that it's a little bit of a missed opportunity there the figures we did get I think look very good and you do get alternate faces for both with Captain Antilles having the please don't choke me out the rest of the way face and then this here is Bail Organa I could not believe that Lego had never done a bail organa figure before this one I had to look it up and check again and again but yep this is the first bail organa figure they have ever done and I think they did a very good job on it very glad that they didn't give him me a light flesh skin tone I think that the face is a great Lego a vacation of the actor that played that character in the prequel era there's this alternate pace and there's even a little bit of printing on the back of the torso even though most of the time you won't see it the K piece that he comes with is the old style which is thin and not flowy like the newer style but I'm okay with it while this said is not minifig scaled by any means it is designed to be minifig compatible so up here at the bridge these two sections are removable easily and that gives you one seat on either side I like that there is a little bit of open space between these guys so they can at least see each other and each one gets a common printed console in the middle of the ship you can remove this entire upper section to reveal a very small interior space where figures can just sit it's basically a small conference room obviously you can sit other figures around here in some of the open space but that's about it there's also an opening compartment right here but that is just a little bit of storage for a couple of extra spring-loaded shooter bolts and maybe you can find some other very small cargo to fit in there last up on the minifig compatibility checklist each side of the ship has one of these docking port adapters which can double as an escape pod you know we're the escape pods would really be on the cruise ship but you can use this in that form or you could use it as a little bit of hallway space if you want but there's just not a lot that you can do with that space you can basically dump a couple figures in there because they only have a couple of studs back at one side so maybe one could stand and a couple could sit down or you just toss them in there like green army man or something but you know not that much real useable space here you could use it I guess for some cargo but there are some gaps as well otherwise play wise and for interaction you're limited to messing around with stuff on the exterior surface of the ship there's a turret here that can be rotated around and you also have the individual barrels that can be moved separately get a couple of stud shooters there that only fire straight ahead you know you can't still rotate this around you also have a similar turret on the other side and that just works a little bit differently but essentially gives you the same result these here can just be rotated around you can't change the elevation of the barrels or anything so not particularly good play there too spring-loaded shooters are integrated into the nose so they just fire straight forward from there the slightly remote firing mechanism is right here and you can fire them independently and that's about it really except for the pretty cool handle that's built into the radar dish yep this will turn side to side a bit for the sake of posing and you can also extend up to turn it into a very functional handle that allows you to lift the entire thing right about from its center of gravity with even just a single finger so nice balancing there and it allows you to swish this big huge thing actually pretend to fly it around at the end of the build process I was left with all of these spare pieces some of which are pretty nice to get as extras plus you also get to spare studs for the stud shooters altogether I'm pretty happy with this thing like I said it's it's a good deal larger than I expected it to be it's definitely bigger than it appears on this box where we have a little bit of foreshortening it's it's it's at an angle and shot with a telephoto lens that makes it look smaller than it really is if you get a chance to see one of these in person you'll see what I mean things that I don't like about this include these fins here I wish they had been done with some wedge plates instead and also the engine exhaust nozzles being so dark as they are I like the texture and the shaping there but I think that they're just too dark vain they should have been light gray at at the darkest also not being able to change the angles on these individual barrels is Oh a little bit of a downer just for just for posing on display I wish there was one more rebel trooper or maybe a rebel friend or something like that some of these little bits on the outside do fall off easily I didn't really demonstrate that but I mean you can see some of I mean even even this right here is is not at its normal angle because it's trying to fall off these will fall off fairly easily you know it's it's just a little bit delicate on the outside and more substantively I wish there was a Hall scene in here rather than this you know this little conference room thing you need a hall scene for this ship and that's just completely missing that they don't have anything like that value-wise I think this is OK the price to part ratio is not the best but for the size of the ship that you get relative to the size of other ships that you get for similar or slightly lower prices I feel like the the price is justified at least relatively speaking it's still expensive no matter what you know 200 bucks is a lot for a toy no matter how big that toy is but this does feel like a good investment for me as a Star Wars fan you know being able to have a Karelian Corvette which I've personally wanted some sort of model of for a long time and having something so big and having it made out of Lego and yet looking pretty good as it does it just makes me happy if you want to see the build for this set I've got two options for you once again first of all there's the pure build which is just in real time with nothing but the sounds of putting the parts together no music no talking nothing sped-up and I think not a single step missed if you want something a bit quicker I also have the speed build version which has musical accompaniment I'll link you to both of those builds on screen momentarily thank you very much for watching hope that you enjoy this review and then I gave you a good overview of the set I'll talk to you again soon that's ten if what
