Legendary Difficulty Let's Play! Mad Games Tycoon 2 Ep 1

hello everybody my name is Chara and this is Mia games Tycoon 2 episode 1 of my legendary difficulty let's play that's right legendary difficulty um if anybody's curious I am going to continue my other let's play um that's on her difficulty uh basically I'll alternate I'll do this legendary one day the hard the other day until you know I'm satisfied with the hard one so legendary difficulty starting in 1976 competitors for competition low sure sure specials are on our skill game yeah let's just roll with that um I fully expect that I might fail just FYI if I fail I'm just going to restart and keep going but I I don't know I've I've done a practice a little bit of practice I have some idea what I need to do but it's gonna be tricky um I am going to do the giant Warehouse which you could argue is kind of cheating kind of makes things easier but legendary is hard enough as it is maybe once I master this maybe we can do another legendary later on a different map for now though I'm doing the warehouse that's just how it is all right so uh one thing we need to do and I warned right now typically I don't have edits in my Let's Plays or unedited there will be edits in this one just FYI if that matters to anybody still just a heads up so let's just make like a little five by five right here this is our development room and we are going to furnish by hand I'm kind of used to Furnishing automatically just letting the AI furnace my rooms for me but you gotta you can't afford to waste money on things you don't need so I'm going to furnish by hand here and I'm just realizing this room's probably bigger than it needs to be all right so we need those things is that it can be enough Heat put a heater there as well I think that's mostly important things we need a medicine cabinet and then we just need some things to make it fancy in here like over one plant as well put that right there and then we will watch some posters and some rugs um just to kind of bring it up all right so what's what's the cheapest source looks like these flowers are 450 a pop or the alien posters are 500. so let's just throw some of these posters around these 500 posters I should get enough quality I think that's high enough for now all right so that is done and we will want a similarly sized research room let's make this one five by four let's make this a little tighter think I can still fit four desks and all the amenities that I feel I need in here I hope anyway that's that's the hope all right so we got our two those we've got our medicine cabinet we got our water dispenser and we got our trash can and we will I will want a plant as well just in case we get anybody with the The Green Thumb or whatever trait right I think it's called Green Thumb it might not be though all right so let's go with flower paintings here and maybe they give less but you know less um value I don't know I'm just gonna go with the cheap ones for now let me know in the comments and yeah I am okay with backseating in this run right I am just fine with that I've been doing something wrong please tell me all right um little five by five Lounge five by four yeah let's go five by four for now just I don't want to spend all my money right and we will go all right so huh user cake arcade cabinets three doesn't really seem to be any better how many of these do I want in here let's just go one of each I don't know if that's a good idea and then you don't need fridges because I'm pretty sure the water cooler does the same thing as the fridge I do believe people get the urge to sit right so we'll get a couple of chairs for that and I mean obviously we need heat in here maybe a radio I'm not sure if that's the same need as what the arcade machines do though it might be I might be doubling up there I don't know is that going to be enough Heat yeah I'm gonna say this and of course let's throw a rug in here I know the rugs are more expensive but they keep a lot more I think right actually 1500 or 800 1500 for this two of these in here fit I know that's kind of ugly but it is what it is all right and then we just need a toilets and then we'll be ready to go well four by four should be enough I think I hope you only need probably two toilets and a couple wash basins and a hand dryer and we want uh make sure it's warm in here in a trash can probably that should be good I think for that all right so we got 185 000 left have myself let's do some research all right what do we got for employees out there oh my goodness all right so we got this person who is kind of the dream employee um they're talented but they're more expensive so you can make the argument that this is actually not a good idea hiring this person but I'm gonna do it anyway and this person is a researcher who doesn't take breaks we're going to hire them and we're just going to go up to three of us for now so let's get our cage joystick support let's take this out pause and see what happens and I did these out in the middle and not up against the wall just so it's easier to expand them as necessary just if anybody was wondering all right so do I want to leave my researcher behind probably all right so what genres do I have all right well puzzle's the trend so let's grab puzzle oh all I have right now is racing uh I don't really want to make a raising and I guess everything I make is going to be a contract game at this point right so it doesn't really matter I'm gonna need them all eventually oh we got an office worker we got a programmer now let's grab the programmer programmers are good all right and I don't know maybe I'm going too hard on the employees or maybe not enough I have no idea all right what do we got for contracts contract games um none of these are racing which is the only thing we have right now um so let's just move everybody back in here and they can help research the puzzle game now obviously they're not as sufficient as actual researchers but they're what I have they are what I have right now so we leave the researcher behind and they can slowly start researching skill game now it is 30k every time I do that that is eating into my money but it's kind of necessary all right so puzzle my first puzzle game topic um which of these which of these work for puzzle I wonder zombies zombies I don't think does what about karate karate doesn't what about dating dating Works dating works for a puzzle game um adults apparently this game is called normal um we don't have an engine yet first time using all the engine features all right so I'm just looking at I am cheating right now I am looking at a guide that has these sliders um legendary's hard enough I'm gonna look up sliders eight zero eight there okay 50 10 10 30 here okay and let's turn everything on here this game's already pretty expensive I probably shouldn't use all these but like I'm gonna I'm losing money on this game right but you need to get Stars you need to get experience and stuff so it's just a matter of the slow bleed right it's a slow bleed you're just trying to not bleed out too fast essentially in legendary difficulty take out a loan if I have to um yeah get these contract games done build up my reputation so I get better contracts right basically how it works local high scores let's get that my cash on hand is going down fairly fast a lot of bugs here which is less than ideal as well all right and let's grab let's just grab something like fantasy something that applies to a lot of different um types of games right so we can make a lot of Fantasy games get good at that all right 20 to 40. we only need 15 for our payments so that's actually pretty good so hand over the game get this out the door so we did get a star in quite a few things which is quite valuable at this point in the game and thirty percent that's actually not terrible it's better than I thought it was going to be so I still lost eight thousand dollars right but that's that's how it goes that's fine all right what do we got for contract games now all right so we got a couple skill games let's start with the one that only needs a 15 bonus payment right start small oh topic what topic works for a skill game oh we're a skill game on my guide I'm gonna put a little cut in here I will be right back none of the things that I have worked for a skill game so we are going to move them back to the research room and get fantasy researched so that we can make a fantasy game because fantasy does work for skill because it's it it's it matters it's important right I said should I do physics say research physics uh well let's research Adventure while we're here we got most of the big ticket um research is done right we still have 82 grand left so we're doing okay at the moment no not a new game contract contract game there you go loots Blue Mind fantasy um all yes all is good for skill and okay all right we got a point we gotta star and everything so basically every time you make a game you have a chance to get experience if it's a game of your own like just a normal game it's pretty close to 100 chance but if you're making a contract game or an add-on it is not 100 chance in fact that we got a point in all four of those actually pretty valuable but I don't want to make my own games until they have a bunch of it points experience points right I want to have a lot of stars before I try to make my own game all right so again I am looking at a guide as I move these sliders around and yeah so it's the same every time right and here I am going to cut costs a little bit and I'm just going to put into three that are important right although it'd be nice to try to have a chance to get experience in the other two no we're just going to go through we're going to cut costs here oh never mind we need to put a keyboard support but we leave the pause function out but skill game this will be easily um you know my minimum review threshold I'm not worried about trend right is why I want physics but again this research isn't free and cash on hand is going down rather quickly 20 to 40 again hand over the game okay and got some more experience right we are developing a good rep uh that reputation relationship with Qatari which is nice 36 that's actually not bad these games aren't bad but it's puzzle and skill are easy to make good games like if I make a racing game right now I guarantee we don't hit 30 probably I guarantee probably yeah way to way to head stair Lutz way to hedge still oh let's do Adventure I know it's the anti-trend but I just want to do actually let's do another skill right now because I know how to make a skill game I don't need to look that up school days it's going to be fantasy again and again because I'm not making my own games I don't care if I'm saturating the market with a bajillion Fantasy games because they're not my games I don't care how they sell um so let's just copy Blue Mind sign settings beautiful here yeah let's turn them all on let's see if we can get a get a star and pause function we're definitely losing money off this one well yeah a little bit be losing a little bit of money and again it's it's how the game goes all right so topics uh let's grab I'm gonna grab cars that way if I do want to make a racing game at least I have a topic that fits and then I think when that once that's done I may move them into my development room to help with the development obviously having a researcher there doesn't really help probably but I hate having them just sit there doing nothing actually I should probably check what do I gotta well there's a lot of people on the market um so I'm thinking about grabbing sigismund here because they're fast learner or talented which means they learn faster they also get sick a lot which isn't good but you'll notice their cheaper right if they have like having good traits makes them more expensive right actually ooh Ezra is good uh Ezra's only 2400 that's not bad I like it I'm a big fan of efficient but if I do Ezra then I don't have room to move my researcher over you know what I mean and maybe I need to have bigger rooms right now I don't know 30 to 50 though that's encouraging so we definitely hand that over well you should easily meet the minimum rare bonus there oh my God 47 percent okay I'm making better games much earlier than I anticipated um I guess we got commission work hopefully some that's worth at least 10K 6K I will take it we'll take 6K right now and we'll move you over to help with that because there's not really any research that I want to do right now right I'm good for the research at the moment all right so that is done got three contract games um yeah let's do the adventure one this will be my first adventure game so fantasy dating let's go fantasy adults for adventure games get much better at this stuff oh and I have to look this up so I'm gonna do that okay I have the adventure lighters where they're supposed to be so that should work I mean we only need a five percent review but this is going to be it's gonna be lower right the review wise because less things here um and plus a c anti-train which I don't know does it does the tread just affect sales or does it affect review score as well I'm honestly not sure about that one way to find out though well I guess we would have to do more in-depth research for that but yeah I'm honestly this is better this is going better than my previous attempts did um but I am slowly bleeding money but how much of a loan could I get right now 95k that's not much this does go up over time but it's good to know I have that there right I have a bit of a cushion 10 to 30. that's fine we expected this to be worse right as long as it's over five percent for our bonus we got another star in four of these things right and one an adventure but that's kind of whatever right now we're not planning to make a bunch of Adventures and 26 that's trash but in a roundabout way I'm kind of disappointed in my uh view scores because I don't think I'm gonna win worst game of the year which I kind of want to three commissions so that's like 25k that's that's history money right you always want to do the commission well it's not free it takes time I guess and you do not want to really do you don't want to spend money here there's no expense no sense gaining fans yet um so I'm just gonna skip like typically my advice would be if I was playing on normal difficulty do the large Booth even if you don't have three games to put up because the extra fans are worth it but I'm potentially just gonna lose my fans anyway right if I win worst game of the year you lose fans so it's not worth it for me to try to invest in fans and okay so this first commission is takes quite a while but it's 13k right and now these ones will go much faster it was worth it it's worth every every second my team put into it for that's it for that 13k but I do have a researcher in here which isn't good oh another one came through another commission that is which is good or commissions that are there the better and the more we do the better a reputation gets which means the more commissions we get right so kind of snowballs somewhat all right so yeah 71k in the bank that's that's not bad all right so puzzles uh this one yeah they both I guess this one pays out slightly better not a lot better though and for puzzle um dating works for puzzle right I think and we want to do adults and yeah three stars in each of the engine features that's good and we can lock this in that looks good um do we want to turn everything on here uh which system is it for let's let's take out the keyboard and controller support if we have to put them in we will but I'm gonna actually let's take let's take the arcade joystick sport as well we have three stars in that already I want to get started on something okay so it makes me put in keyword sport that's fine I'm okay with this but we're still going to lose money it's just going to be not a lot of money right so it's okay is there anything that I want to be researching right now I should probably grab another topic or two like another topic that's just good all around like something like aliens I feel like or space right would apply to a lot of different things which one is my research for this person right yeah again I can't I can't afford to just research forever oh doesn't do bugs that is nice I like that okay but my money is slowly slowly going down but I am not bankrupt yet so I'm calling this a win so far and again if I'm doing something that people feel like is a mistake that I'm doing something very wrong let me know I'm okay with Adam because I don't do legendary this is a new thing for me so I'm okay with learning through people's advice and okay more stars that's what we like to see that's what we'd like to see over 30 again great second platform unlocked yeah we lost four grand that's minor that's like we can get that back right here right just boom done well won't quite be boom done it'll take a little longer but I think this is a good number of people right because if I get too many people I'm just gonna finish I'm gonna go through all the contracts and not have any contracts to do if I have too many people right I think should I try to get a game out for the holiday season no I think it's too early I think it's too early to do a game until I can get like at least over 50 reviews consistently I don't think it'd be a good idea okay man the commission work just keeps coming in and I'm just gonna keep doing it because that means my bank account keeps going up okay well I take that back there's all kinds of contract work here um oh this one pays good this one pays a lot but it's racing which we don't really know how to make very well in a 20 Adventure game for this it pays like almost 40K like that's a lot that one pays over 40K this one pays almost 40K as well so let's do this one fantasy adults engine yet soon I think they have the first engine thing comes soon but I'm honestly not even sure like do I want to do my own engines unlegendary or is it not worth it I'm I honestly don't know I'm pretty sure I can get a 10 review score here though all right what do we want to do with this researcher this phone researcher we could do subtopic it's 30k though you know what I'm gonna do it having subtopic early be good and we just had to pay all our employees so now I have like very little money so maybe that wasn't the best idea but like there is more lucrative contracts now 10 to 30 it only needs to be over 10 so hand over there you go getting a little better at a few of these things I would like to see 28 it's trash but that's fine it's good enough hey we actually made money on that one not much money but we made money ooh sixteen thousand how long is that going to take though I wonder it's going to take a minute it's definitely going to take a minute but for sixteen thousand I think it's worth it right I think it is all right I actually hope doing I want to win game of the year I know that's a weird thing to say oh my God I didn't I was too successful I should have made a racing game first ah that kind of sucks if anybody's wondering why I wanted to win worst game of the year um let me see if I can find there's an achievement for it that gives a positive effect uh so let me find it because I forget what it is yeah one percent extra PC and console game sold and I know one percent it's like loots it's one percent don't worry about it but hey one percent is one percent and on legendary those small margins matter right so yeah it kind of sucks that we didn't get it it's okay all right so this one 20 yeah I'm confident I can get a 20 Adventure game well I'd wanna do this one first After Earth that seems like space would work adults yeah I think I can thing is though space I don't have any experience in but I think I can get I think I can get a 20 percent adventure game yeah no I'm confident I mean last one was what like 29. I think I can get yeah this space being new and being having less experience is obviously not as good so it might this might be a little less than last time and I didn't gain a whole bunch of stars of the last one you know what I mean but should be it'll be over 20. it'll be somewhere between 25 and 30 if I had to guess I hope anyway I hope it's over 20. I really do I really really do all right so we got some experience hey we're actually maxed out on a few things that's what we want to see that's good 29 that's fine yeah I know it's trash but that's fine we actually made money we actually made a decent amount of money huh I'm this is going way better than I expected well this isn't worth much but it's free money well it's not free money I guess because my means my people aren't making a game but that's okay um ooh this one's pretty lucrative we only need a five percent review score yeah sign me up for that um space work for puzzle game let's just go fantasy because we know actually physics probably does and it's a trend so let's hit that up yeah getting pretty good with the engine stuff which is what we want Block in our settings or sliders um I'm gonna take all these off it'll make me put at least one of them back on you only need a five percent here right so I mean I could take these ones off too but I want the experience these are my low ones right now I'd like to see them get higher would this is this will be a profitable one or it should be but yeah we're a year in and I'm still above I still have positive money that's I did not expect that just being straight I did not expect that I mean I'll take it all right so now they have subtopic I feel like I need to grab a couple extra topics these are 10K a piece so I don't want to go too crazy but let's grab like dragons or dungeons or Dungeons and Dragons just so we have something to throw in there in addition to Fantasy right something that's fantasy adjacent 30 to 50. nice I mean I cut features out of this too first physics getting better with the bear attack pause function plus one hey 41 percent we take that and we take that if we take a profit as well and now we got some commission work oh some valuable commission work how long is this going to take though probably quite some time I'm speaking of time though that's all for this episode I hope you enjoyed it I really do let me know in the comments if you're excited to see me get through legendary um like I said it's going way better than I expected hit that like button subscribe if you haven't already for me on patreon links in the description down below share with my patrons I could not do this without them links in the description also a link to my Discord down below most importantly though folks be good to each other have a great day and I'll see you in the next one where we hope we don't go bankrupt
