there's the top school for 30 years plus that's not the amazing part teaches a Sunday School class right up here on the second floor sometimes what God does is he shows you something in the physical in the natural it's going to happen in the spiritual he came to me just before service and he was as pale as a ghost he said let me tell you what happened he said in those stores you can go check him there son he said I was teaching my class and they were singing this song and he wouldn't they got the part the doors are open my door opened on the classroom [Music] they said everybody's cents and everybody said God's trying to tell us something God is about to open some doors for something a man will you receive that they're gonna sing some more you can use it any way you can sit down just for a second is that possible or is that gonna create a train wreck I'll let you do that give them a big hand I'll let you go back to your seats for a moment I want to welcome everybody who's joined us live on Facebook and thousands of people will do that today and you will hear the greatest choir in the world right up here the Lee University campus choir how many of you are alumni of Lee let me see your hand you went for a semester if you're graduating raise your hand up all right stand up wherever you are if you went to leave come on did you here you go did you know that both these guys Jocelyn and Kody proposed in campus choir you were up my son-in-law was in campus choir in fact the last time you guys came through you convinced my daughter to go with you to New York and that's where they met so thank the Lord for that I get two great two wonderful grandchildren now because of campus choir I'll give you credit for god bless you let's give all these alumni a big hand it's a wonderful wonderful school they'll have more information about it as you go out today now a couple things I want to do first of all I want you to know there's more this we're just getting started it's just going to whet your appetite for more right so we're they're gonna have the service I'm going to come up the last five minutes and do something but I'm excited about what they're doing after this but a couple of things I want to do and one of them is I would like to honor pastor1 Roca so would you bring that please and Ser healthy one and Maria would you come please and stand up here with me Juan and Maria have pastored our Hispanic church for 15 years come on up here [Music] fifteen years I have been privileged to work with you now for nine years and during that time we've been to Peru Costa Rica Guatemala Honduras Nicaragua yeah where else did we go is that in and the two of them have translated I have seen them work tirelessly when we go on these trips it's not a vacation sometimes it'll be a few days at the end of it then we can take a break but usually it's like we just work from daylight to dark and one occasion Oh remember when we're quite Amala and you guys I don't know if anybody up in the choir was was in Guatemala it's probably - uh-huh what was our turn remember that ten twelve thousand teenagers in one place and you guys sang right before we preached and but what you've done here is remarkable and it's not an easy task simply because of the dilemma that we face in this country there's somewhere between eleven and thirteen million illegal immigrants who are in the shadows sometimes those people are saved in the church and they're in a situation where what do you do but just love them and tell them about Jesus and try to help but you too have been faithful you have been a example of what a real pastor should be and I want to thank you both and I have a gift for you but I'm gonna give it to her cut out the middleman and that's a check from the church perfect no I disappointed you I know but this is a plaque for you Kenneth says presented pastor Juan Roca for 15 years of excellent ministry here at Victory Tabernacle so I want you to know we love you and Maria we have some flowers for you [Applause] now here's here's what's really remarkable is that your children are all college-educated I guess does Jacob has a master's right and and your daughter Sarah is working on her doctorate and up it what's the college of the University Jordans Georgetown University and she is actually being hired to teach while she's working on the docks she's up oh hey hey Sarah and Joe god bless you and also oh that's right you got two all right Carla and Jacob are single this is Jacob where's Jacob stand up and Carlos and now if you're interested at all you see us after church don't anybody up here nice-looking beautiful girl and so there we go see God works in mysterious ways [Music] but I love you and I thank you for everything you guys are just awesome God amen alright I'll let you go down thank you again and we expect you to be here another 15 years at least also something else I want to do before I welcome you and that is Roger would you come please and CeCe we're glad to have you here come on up with your daddy Cece where are you going to college now we're Mary Baldwin okay and she the Lord blessed her and helped her to get there and gave her a lot of grants and scholarships and we love you and we love you dad Rick Connor moved to Texas and when he did it left an opening as our prison pastor and I asked Roger if he'd be willing to serve and he graciously accepted and so I would thank you for coordinating our prison ministry and I know that you go down there and preach and you love those guys and we minister to ladies as well and I want to thank you Roger for all you do for the Lord it's not been an easy road for you but I still believe that there's a God who restores us and gives us not just a second chance but he's given me a lot more than two chances and all the rest of us as well so would you stretch your hand out toward him father thank you for Roger we ask that you'd bless him anoint him use him as he carries this ministry on God I pray that if there are those that are not involved in prison ministry and this is their heart help them today to answer that call the stand with Roger and go into these prisons and minister to people who need a second chance and they need to hear that God loves them right where they are bless them abundantly and father I'll give you the praise and honor and glory for it Thank you chose to be here and what a wonderful day for you to be here so I want you to do something the bulletin that you received has a card it's a perforated card that means you can tear it off I could have said it another way but it makes me sound so much smarter when I say perforated I know some other big words but I'm not gonna brag but you can tear that card off in a minute fill it out and then at the end of the service if you would please give it to me my wife Donna she's that pretty lady behind the Oregon over there she and I are gonna be at the guest center and we have a bag of goodies for you if you just bring me that car I'll exchange the card the goodies for the car my granddaughter one of them is back there usually and she helps me give candy away and she'll get up on the table and she makes people take candy take that thing and she was there last week helping me in a person came by and she was trying to give them a can some candy and I said Zion give them a gift bag well the gift bag has a lot of stuff in it that's candy it has a book I've written it has water as a coffee mug and some other stuff and she picked that up and she had the candy in this hand and the woman standing there she looks at the candy she looks at the bag and she gives a woman the candy and keeps the bag and I got her another but you'll want to keep that bag and it's very that well it's painless you just come by we shake hands I smile at you tell you I'm glad you're here and I get that card because that's a way that I can keep up with you and pray for you that's a connection card so we can stay connected and I promise you Wednesday when we come together as a pastoral staff we'll all pray over you and call your name before the Lord now somebody said you know this is the 21st century dude we don't do that anymore I understand a lot of people don't want to share their information so I want to give you an extra incentive for everybody who comes by today and drop that card off I'm going to give $5 to our food bank in clothes closet to help them so you're not just helping yourself you're helping somebody else so combine at the end of the month we find out how many guests to come by giving us a card we give that money to a ministry could be one in-house or it could be one that's in the community but that will help somebody if you'll come by drop that card off okay and then I'm gonna send you something in the mail I mean like to get stuff in the mail one person okay I'll send you something in the mail even though you're a council member huh because you're the only one that likes but I still like to get stuff I'll do that for you and we'll even come by your house and drop off some banana nut bread we won't stay for dinner or anything but we'll just drop it off all of our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus I want you to join hands and those of you that are on the outside if you'd move toward the center I'm going to ask you young people to help me I want everybody out here to help me we're going to pray a prayer together I believe I'm anointed today to lead you in a prayer that God will hear and answer if you're lost today you're going to be saved if you're a backslider God's going to restore you if today you're facing a giant and you think you can't win Goliath is going to fall no matter what you're going through God's hand is on your life and God brought you here to give to you the victory would you just bow your head and close your eyes for a moment we're gonna pray this prayer you repeat it but don't just say it pray it everybody right now pray this prayer dear Heavenly Father I come to you in the name of Jesus I ask you to forgive me for all of my sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness what the blood is cleansed may the Holy Ghost energize fill me with your spirit heal my body make me completely whole and set me free from every ailment every sickness every disease and every affliction bless me bless at this we're gonna have a reunion I remember the day you were born it is hard to imagine you have come a long way Blake I also remember when Craig and Debbie prayed that God would give them a child they prayed too hard and God gave them triplets triplets I say Craig what are their names he said eeny Meeny and mining I said where's moe he said dangle be no moe I buried some of your parents did you know that I'm feeling old I married you guys dead did I marry him you in and Marv y'all were already married when I got there but I dedicated your baby's dead now I'll tell you why I'm saying this to you you see these young people up here that didn't just happen mom and daddy said we're going to church and they brought those children when they didn't know they were even in the world hardly and said would you bless him and pray over because I want them to live for Jesus but every day after that on Wednesday nights and was Sunday mom and daddy said we're going to church sometimes you didn't understand what was going on but they said now if you're in his presence eventually you're gonna catch it you're going to understand my right Jimmy Jimmy for how many it was 26 years we were there 30 years during that time she was just a youngster and 12 years old she got involved in the music program and there were times when the Spirit of God would start moving and Jimmy would be playing the piano and singing and I didn't even know it he would slip off the piano and she would slide right onto it and I couldn't tell the difference you know why because you took the gift that God gave to you and said somebody else got to carry this home this the only church I ever passed her they had so many musicians you didn't know what to do all of them first-rate the first Sunday we built the new church how many was in that choir Jimmy T remember a huge choir filled to capacity we had a four thousand seat auditorium and we turned away 500 people that morning the first Sunday there but that's not the success story here's the success story right here here's a success story you are and you are and you are and you are and you are and you are I'm trying to tell you something there is a basic principle in the Word of God that if you follow it guess what happens this happens this happens it's not an accident that's what happens Donna come out here where are you honey where'd she go come up here where's my daughter I was your pastor if you remember come up here [Music] a long time ago when we got married we didn't know that God was going to do all these wonderful things but we made up our minds that we would stick together and we have through thick and thin hard times good times bad times goofy times but we stuck together and we had a common goal and that was to spread the gospel listen those of you who are having trouble in your marriage if you can find out what it is that God wants you to do and start doing it together God will keep you together for the sake of that calling on your life one of the reasons that people get married is because the Bible says for where two are gathered in my name if any two will agree is touching anything they ask I'll do it you have a prayer partner that will stick with you and here we are 2019 and it's been a long time and sometimes it seems like yesterday but I am so grateful for every one of you this is special because you're here to illustrate something and if your faith and you do what God's called you to do it'll be faithful about it God rewards you and he'll give you a daughter come here honey that has two daughters and the other day I was at her house and I didn't know she was listening and she went around the corner and it was just being saying and I told her I said I don't love anybody like I love you nobody's ever made me feel the way you do and she comes around the corner and since excuse me what about me I said you yesterday but you give it how'd you get so tall you've given me and your mama more joy in our lives than we could ever hope for a sport or deserve now here's what I'm trying to tell you in just a moment I'm going to pray if you're saved now if you're not saved don't join the church we got enough of them if you're saved if you are born again the Bible says the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved if you're saved you need a bible-believing christ-centered spirit-filled Church these are the last days folks not just any kind of church will do there are plenty of churches where you'll never hear anything about the blood you'll never hear a message in tongues you'll never hear a sermon preached on hell you can go to a church and go to hell from the church but if you're looking for a church where you can become all God wants you to be that will enrich your life a church that will give you purpose and significance and in the process your heart and your mind and your spirit can be renewed every time you come together and the Word of God can be applied to your life so that you can live out your life according to the Word of God you found the right church now there used to be a day when I'd say to people I'm not trying to proselytize and I'm not and I'm not trying to steal anybody's sheep but sheep don't belong to people sheep belong to Jesus God told me one time he said yeah you had a member come over my from my church and stayed didn't come back I said we'll look I'm sorry but if you have a lamb that gets so skinny that he manages to get through the slats in the fence and comes over my side and get some fat he can't get back home it ain't my fault I believe that there's a place where you're supposed to be I couldn't pastor just any church I'm supposed to be here and if God speaks to you when I pray you'll never be happy until you unite with victory honey come down here will y'all pray well you don't stand up here to pray we're gonna come down here because we're inviting you to join us this morning father I know that there are people here to whom you've spoken there are people with young children that want to see their children grow up to be like this campus choir group there's some parents God that have struggles and this church can make all the difference in their lives and there are people that you've blessed with gifts and talents and gods you know desperately desperately I need some people that have come alongside me and help me so would you please speak speak two hearts whoever they are this may be their first time here but if they're saved and this is the right place for them then you're gonna talk - it may be that somebody's been coming a while but they've never really signed on the dotted line they've never really made that kind of commitment lord I know that membership without ministry is meaningless so I'm not asking people just to come for the sake of coming down here and Lord I apologize for nine years and I've said if you don't join I'm gonna leave that was manipulative and I'm sorry I know that I made my family feel anxious every time I did that because they love it here this the only way I knew to determine whether or not you really were using me but god I feel like you've said to me that there are people who will want to be a part of this church and will make a difference not just today but until Christ returns and this one act of faith can make a difference in their lives forever for the better is that reason for that very reason that I open the doors of this church today so would you speak to people and when you do they're close enough to you to hear your voice and they love you enough to obey I ask this in Jesus name Amen if you'd like to unite with the church would you get out of your seat come stand here with me this morning [Music] [Applause] we'll wait on the Lord God spoken to you come right up down praising anybody I feel like we just need to wait [Music] hold on a second Craig I know this is unrehearsed but I want you to come here Bennet come down here what what is it meant to you all these years being a part of the church and raising your family in church I was one of those guys that was born into Church and always made to come to church now never really understood what it was really all about I was just going because I was made to go and then you know as always excelled at athletics excelled in military I mean at the top of the military and one day in your life something happens and I was married and things didn't work out and before that I could always control everything because on an athletic field I could make it happen in the military I could make it happen but then when it comes whether it's two people involved sometimes you can't make something happen and he didn't work out and so at that point what you said a minute ago there was something that was instilled in me when I was smaller and I never forgot it and so I turned to God in that time that's when I met pastor Luke and I was going down the road and I turned on the radio because I was I was hurting at the time and I heard a sermon and I said boy I'd love to be involved with the church like that and I expected at the end you know if you want to tape from this service write the song so so on so in Dallas Texas and I just been promoted and moved to Cincinnati and they said Preston Pike Church of God is in Hamilton Ohio I saw that on the map and I looked it up and I got home and called the church that was on a Friday and Sunday I was in church first person I met at church was right there she came up to me gave me a hug and I've never turned back and I know it's not about a man but I love this man he is my pastor always will be my pastor and but I can tell you within a year as my wife right here I've got triplet daughters that are absolutely amazing they were all in this choir last year but they're all at Leyte University and it's just once you give in to that that pull that's there it can change your life and you just need to listen to that voice and get yourself out of the way you know that's the main thing is don't listen to what this side saying just listen to that small voice because that's what makes the difference thank you all right I want to pray one more time because you know what I feel like somebody it's about that and here's what happens after every time I do well I was gonna come but I was kinda embarrassed to come up don't let that keep you from the reward and benefits and blessings of being obedient I'm gonna pray one more time now Lord I'm convinced that there's somebody to them they're speaking someone else and so I'm asking you God that they would obey your voice right now help them to push beyond that comfort zone get out where it might be uncomfortable but where their big obedient to you and God I ask it introduces anybody all right you guys line up right here a minute I love you what is your name do you have any brothers do they look like you do they look just like you I think they do tell everybody your name Amanda originally the original I love you guys I want you to take that song you're gonna put it in this bucket we're gonna shake it up so now you're a part of us and you can never never leave until you can get all the grains of your salt out of that and then you can leave us I appreciate so much your willingness to follow the Lord and I ask that you would simply be obedient to God in every area of your life and if you will God will bless you abundantly and supply every day and you'll find that your life is richer and fuller than you could ever imagine father thank you for all that you do
