LED Light In The Eye CrankBait | One Day Build to Catch

[Applause] [Music] that's right center line down the bait we'll be able to pull that apart weight transfer and other cool stuff i drew that this morning this is going to be a sunfish with a 3 volt battery inside of it with some tiny led lights this tiny the one with the copper coating is positive and this is gonna be inside the face behind the eye glass eye or maybe i can take the foil backing off of a dead meat custom eye that way it's transparent but realistic with light coming through that probably would look pretty good that fly was bugging me all morning as i drew this sweet revenge but yeah let's just get to bait making let's do some baiting wait we can't continue without one day one day 7 17 september 7th as all sevens and a one for the one day what a coincidence i woke up pretty early this morning like 4 30. i have other videos going but i i was getting scared i'm not gonna be able to finish something by sunday so we're doing this one day we're gonna finish something by sunday that was like 10 minutes i get so many comments for from people telling me to put tape in the center line right there you know so it breaks apart easier i don't want it to break apart easier i want it to be a challenge [Music] [Music] that was nothing should have put more glue on [Music] okay bit bigger of a drill bit that eighth inch one was just to establish where the eye is and now this is going to be the cavity that the light sits inside of 13 64. if anybody was wondering i'm really wondering how long that battery's going to last i'm going to try to get it as far forward and down as i can because it's got a little bit of mass to it then i'm going to use 3 8 inch steel ball bearings hopefully i can fit like five in there in the big weight transfer system okay let's put that in weight transfer system this is a one day one day chelsea tells me that she can hear when i do that inside of the house every time i might have to stick with just four it kind of looks like four will be enough though this isn't going to be a super thick bait plus the battery which will be like right there so that's how everything has to go in this bait i think the battery right there as forward and as low as possible really close to the eye too i won't need much wirage i need some sort of kinetic energy to electricity generator a small one something that shakes back and forward and it can generate three volts then when it shakes the eyeball lights up maybe for another video okay i got a forstner bit for those sections that will hold the battery and i gotta use my hand for these and a knife [Music] you can put a ball in there and just kind of look at it this way and see if you're even close and now the ball should be sunken down a little over halfway and it wasn't even halfway all the way to the back forward yeah not a ton of room for travel i don't want to just do three but it's still back heavy i think i have to settle for three the bait's gonna be this thin that's a lot less wood to have to keep upright i think three of these larger 3 8 inch bearings will probably do the trick this battery better lasts more than 24 hours that's my thinking that is it will last more than a day so i can complete this one day okay i just i coiled up the whole wire now i'm kind of like needing a way to pinch it to keep that light on because as soon as i don't pinch it it turns off maybe fill this cavity up and the other side up with enough stuff to where it pinches when i close it i got slices of wooden dowels place in there and it'll just squeeze the center [Applause] [Music] just like that five minute epoxy because this is a one day otherwise i'd use wood glue and wait like a while first weight transfer one day here we go the big moment the lights on where's my clamp oh okay directly over the battery lots of clamping force see the light we figured that out and it's not even 10 o'clock i even had to watch the kids for a little while not a problem this is going to be official it's like a half an hour later probably not enough time but we don't have time this is a hyundai that those balls snap back with authority like if you give this beta yank that's exciting super loud gonna have its own light source coming off of it should i i should try to night fish this thing i kind of want to do some night fishing with this thing [Music] the light is so much brighter because that was a lot cut off the sides yeah there's not much wood like right back here and on this side when i'm carving it's gonna be something to stay away from it kind of equally stayed off of the line everywhere and gave it a little bit more thickness because i'm scared i'm going to break into that slot let's stop being scared and start carving i should establish how i want the eyes 10 millimeter so i can carve around the eye there's a socket on top for the eye to be the closer you get to that weight chamber when you cut the wood fibers it sounds different it's like a glass filling up with water a little bit of gill flarage a little bit of fanciness this is going to be a pretty detailed bait for a one day okay [Music] that is the beginning of a lip slot i got this minuscule dremel bit right here for this thickness of lip i think it's about a sixteenth [Music] and i sanded those gills quite a bit they're looking clean let's cut a lip [Music] all right we got some little in a way to do that thing's gonna thump i shorten that tab just to smidge it it needed like a millimeter and boom perfectly perpendicular that's a good lip had to drill in at a weird angle for the bottom hook hanger because there's a battery in the way five minute epoxy is setting i wanted to glue that lip in and then put the screw eye through the tab of the lip going under the eye that was tight some glue just came out of the wood randomly but that lips going nowhere it's time to very carefully cover this thing in super glue and the one days of old i wouldn't really care i call it super glue bath because i just dump it on and let it soak in now i just kind of want to wipe it on just give the wood a coat i'm not interested in it soaking in and bubbling up and looking like garbage not interested that dangerous liquid right there i think if i do this fast and keep the brush pretty wet with super glue constantly it's gonna work good and this is a thin layer going everywhere okay it's kind of weird how well that worked why haven't i ever done that before a dip coat of polyurethane and waiting would be better but wow that's the best super glue finish i've ever gotten let's paint light's still going that's good it's been quite a while 1 30. that took quite a while to get here kind of feel okay about that though because i'm potentially night fishing with this i pretty much have to night fish with this now that i've mentioned it twice should probably cover up the eye hole so i don't get paint on the bulb and diminish its brightness let's just be a little unnecessarily fancy we'll punch out some tape oh my goodness i just shot it down the hole okay i just shoved the whole thing down the hole with the you saw i don't have to explain why am i holding this brush better make sure to remember to take those off isopropyl alcohol in a spritzy container before i start spraying every time i clean my brush with it it does an insane job of cleaning an airbrush it also probably shouldn't be breathed so i spray it over there and not into my face starting with white ooh what kind of gill do i want to paint today i can do anything let's not think about it let's just paint a sunfish thing neon yellow right down the side you got to give it the really close up definitive stripe and then back up and give it the fade that is always a thrilling start [Music] so that was scales over it and stuff it's gonna look spiffy pearly scales you pretty much need to put the needle on it i think it looks pretty good broken up like that though okay since the scales are going to be pretty light and pearly i'm just going to do one of these maybe put popsicle stick right there cover up the ear yeah i don't think i'm interested in any other colors i just want pearl white there now there's patterns all over it that i can go off of pearl white last colors just a little bit of detail violet [Music] in places i think that might be it other than the eye of course not a shabby job paint job for one day thank goodness the light's still on let me just put something on here and see what it looks like real quick that looks like poo poo that doesn't look good more black around the outside and then i should paint the wood that is visible right there like a silver that'll look better okay seal this in without getting very much epoxy down the hole i put some silver down by the way but that's pretty much the only spot i'm putting the epoxy is over here why don't i show you there we go there's an led light behind an eye and it's like the light as the pupil that's pretty sweet i took the foil off so it's just transparent with a little bit of purple on the outside complements that last thing we sprayed violet you can just barely see it okay hard chinese uv resin we got some of this going i'm going to put this on the rotisserie there's a step i don't usually show cleaning off the screw eyes after clear coat there's no quick easy shortcut for this it's just a time-consuming scrape away at it with a utility knife till it's all gone kind of process super sharp hooks it is complete it's ready to fish oh wait i was making a leader for it it's just gonna crimp on an 80 pound fluorocarbon leader just in case there's a surprise musky attack that's a strong connection okay now we're ready to fish it boy at night that's going gonna be like a laser pointer i need to make sure i have my light for my gopro jesse's is looking pretty trimmed this is like freshly mowed beautiful it's really hard to tell in the daylight but that that light's still going it still has a light they're getting a new roof over there so get used to that noise we even got lights on the dock dude i can night fish here i should have brought food i should get somebody to bring me food all right we're seeing how it works it sits kind of on its side oh but it cranks straight okay so it really wants to float hard but it comes in just fine jessie's a seeming kind of dead never mind you're not a bad bass you hear all that weight transfer that bass is transferring some weight right now it's official pond bass like led lights it's official be free one day complete 5 20. really [Music] oh my goodness that was the farthest cast yet for sure fish on dang it fish off there was so much line to take up and set the hook with that might be the same fish fellas i'm just going to keep him up we're going to make it official again it's official bass like led lights look at that fellas it's proven be free it gets way brighter looking at night go figure this is some romantic nighttime pond fishing now if i could just get a fish to join me good next morning the light's still on i think it's going to last over 24 hours it's probably going to last 27 years if you know below how long can a little 3 volt battery power that oh whoa those were uv these are uv leds that's why it was so hard to get a good picture of it it turned purple on camera that's it's a uv light 40 years three days it's still going look at how chewed into my fluorocarbon leader connection got to from that braid i did a weird knot that grabbed the whole top of it instead of just one little section that worked good i yanked on this thing so hard trying to get that snag out and it didn't break so these metal crimped fluorocarbon leaders i feel good about them i'm gonna make a new one completely unable to catch a fish last night it's like a couple hours of nighttime fishing unable to catch a fish kayak ditch let's get a pike that's really all i want is a pike [Music] oh my goodness that was that was a pretty bad one whoops it it might be broke oh yeah i just snapped the lip off of this thing whoops the light's still on that's good but now it's useless oh no it has a pretty cool action still actually it's like a top water wobbler thing that is the end of the ledi sunfish crank bait hope you enjoyed a little bit of bonus fishing with the tap warm see what else is in here good multi-species that they like the tap worm that's better fish on look at that fellas we got another species on the tap worm not quite an eater but walleye it's official appreciate the tap worm be free oh boy what me out it's a quick release you see it shining strong i'll let you know crying freaking shame that i couldn't catch a fish on this at night before i broke the lip off darn but you know i make fishing lures so it's fine i'll make another if i so please in the future that's been recording for like three hours i just came back and realized that and i haven't set on to the next bait yet on to the next bait i drew that if anybody was wondering that looks like poo poo that's right oh my goodness wait see the light you hear all that weight transfer snap back with authority that was nothing let's do
