I think this is great, and really fortunate for Alex. The truth is though, that for a lot of the homeless, this wouldn't be enough without some comprehensive drug treatment or mental health services. It is America's ridiculous health care system than is the cause of much of this country's homeless situation. Fortunate it doesn't seem to be the case for Alex though.
let me play pseudo-inspiring music loudly over myself while I sanctimoniously preach about how great a person i am.....
but seriously, good on him.
This is actually really nice. I heard a while back, giving homeless people socks around winter, is a great thing. I might just have to go buy some socks and have a few packs in my car for when I come across someone
So real. /u/h3h3productions where are you
Loved it. Having been homeless with delusions of ever being able to afford helping people out in a way this man did really helped me love it though. Hardcore empathy (Alex) mixed with insatiable envy (Chris).
I would do this stuff all day if I could. Instead, I barely manage to keep myself alive and going, and often wonder why I bother. Props to Chris. I want to hug him.
It's really encouraging to see rich people helping out poorer people, people who help others in need are kind the of people who actually deserve being rich
goddamn. I felt that he genuinly cared a lot about the guy when he said "whatever he wants" at around 10:05.
Will Forte looks rough these days.
What was the job? What does he do for work? Also, he still doesn't have money for rent anywhere. He will need to work awhile to save enough. Maybe he is staying at the hotel?
