Lady Gaga says she had 'instant chemistry' with Bradley Cooper

so now we're gonna turn to one of the most anticipated movies of the fall the remake of a star is born this time starring Bradley Cooper and none other than Lady gaga who by the way is also great seeing the October cover of Vogue the movie a new take on the original starring Barbra Streisand is already getting rave reviews including from our Adrienne bankers who sat down with the outstanding cast good morning my goodness good morning Larry yes critics at the Toronto Film Festival call it near perfect magical intense full of feeling and that it's going to make you cry for the cast a star is born the fourth reincarnation of a film with the familiar storyline has been a labor of love a star is born is a dream come true for Bradley Cooper in his directorial debut and the incomparable Lady Gaga's first time on the big screen [Music] people were questioning is this going to be movie magic are they going to have the chemistry that they say they will we had instant chemistry when I met him as soon as I opened the door to my house and saw him it was like a hungry we're both Italian and from the East Coast and before I knew it I was heating up some leftovers for him and we were eating together Cooper had voice training for 18 months to play Jackson made a famous and faulty country music superstar baby [Applause] [Music] he began to sing I stopped dead in my tracks and I said oh my gosh Bradley your voice you can sing a big endorsement from the six-time Grammy winner who insisted every song be performed live they coached each other what he taught me was you know know your lines but really know the story that you're telling what you're what you're trying to say I don't like to rehearse at all and I certainly don't like to rehearse lines all we're trying to do is not act right that's all we're trying to do they perfected more than their craft there's a heartfelt bond among the entire cast including acting vet Sam Elliott I've never had an experience like this I've never been anywhere in there someone like this that's as huge as she is on a worldwide level and somebody that's as talented as she is and I've never met anyone like Bradley since I've been in the business and come out the other side really feeling like his brother and I'm just really fortunate to be sitting here newcomer Anthony Ramos tearfully shares what brought him to this mile-high moment his high school drama teacher she changed her life changed my life I grew up in the projects yeah virtually I had no chance and I had this woman that's it I'm not giving up on you ever tell me something boy Bradley really has been an incredible leader and creating a beautiful family thank you no worry I won't tell anybody you said in an interview that Lady Gaga is a revelation what does that mean I'm just so glad God gave her the talent that she has and he chose her because that's quite a vessel to go through because it's really what you do with it and she's such a beautiful human being then I understand oh I think you like it a little bit when inspiration comes you have two choices you could let it come selfishly get what you want from it and then it goes away unless you work and cultivated that is what's called upon by all of us as human beings you know we all get inspired all throughout the day certain things but what are you gonna do with that inspiration [Music] I just love every single person that's sitting here today and feel so grateful to be here [Applause] it really is powerful and what Bradley Cooper has done is put intimately on the big screen issues like mental health and substance abuse in a way that we can't ignore so before you go see it maybe go see it first and then take your kids if you're going to take your teenagers bring the tissues and it is getting a lot of Oscar buzz line what a love fest between that cast and what an endorsement for the film I cannot wait yeah go see it all right thanks Adrienne and some of the cast will be joining us right here on GMA next month don't miss it a star is born is in theaters October fed well hey there GMA fans Robin Roberts here thanks for checking out our YouTube channel lots of great stuff here so go on click the subscribe button right over right over here to get more of awesome videos and content from GMA every day anytime we thank you for watching and we'll see you in the morning on GMA
