KTM POWERPARTS: CRASH-PROOF YOUR RIDE!

most of the standard products on a KTM are pretty good for generally everything trail riding even racing but it gets to a point if you get a bit more specialized like extreme enduro where you've got to step it up a bit in terms of the bikes defense and first things first are the hand guards now look it happens you crash your bike just riding it but you've got more chance of crushing it when you're trying to climb rocks and all sorts of things and things break off your brake levers so power parts make these wraparound hand guards available and you can buy all sorts of aftermarket products but the good thing about the KTM ones is that they're perfectly built for the bike everything wraps in perfectly with the standard cables the levers you don't have to cut tune shape or fidget with anything you just bolt them on it's that easy the KTM comes standard with a plastic bash guard under the engine case look the plastic one is pretty good but if you start grinding through rocks and all the rest you're going to tear it off I'm pretty sure Toby just riding around a motocross track tears them off in about 30 seconds the aluminium bash plate from the power parts division is definitely a superior product Toby you raced with it forever give us an idea on how these things work in terms of helping the bike yeah well these actually are really good they basically if you're coming to any like rocks or logs or anything like that don't really get hooked up on anything they just slide you come up short it'll kind of just give that a little bit more of a give and I'll just get you across things a little bit easier so it's there definitely essential and definitely recommended getting one this slave cylinder protector you get a rock in the chain and then it just punches through the slave cylinder you've lost your clutch so this is just a bit of a backup piece of mind and it strengthens that whole area another indestructible item is this chain guide and as you can see it's a TN design works and this is the good thing about KTM if they believe a product is better than this they'll just incorporate it into their power parts no hiding brands here but this is one of the most renowned Cha aftermarket chain guides available and you can get your KTM or one from the power parts division as with the matching chain slider this is made of stuff that's used in the mining industry where it's just designed to cut rocks and grinding and abuse basically for hours and hours yeah power parts this is kind of the upgrade this bike needs especially where we're going yep we pretty much go bang on in the middle of where we needed to babe up they'll Bachmann just spat up oh well let's reload do it again I'm blaming you for that setup but I thought I will let you buy me that was a flat out set up mate haha nowhere to go I got hooked on the friggin thing I know you did where did that leave me I couldn't even burst India yeah I know oh well Oh step the back over we'll go again well now this is what you power party guards are good for as you can see the Box put itself upside down and the levers are fine Natalie keep it looking good look at that skid plate - whoa we're here well that was fun and games as you can see 500 still in one piece ready to ride all the power parts or else they should be few scratches here and there but that's what it's all about now for all the ladies out there who've got a boyfriend husband son brother uncle father whoever that rides a KTM this is pretty much the best gift you could ever get them and a crop of its exhaust system it's actually more like a musical instrument because you wait till you hear the thing and I think I'm going to let Toby do the honors on testing it on the 500 or yours mate wait good now put it on the bike well mate what do you think of the a crow yeah makes a big difference just makes a pie fries a lot better and yeah it just seems to get powder ground a little bit better as well and just delivers the power a bit smoother so it's yeah it's good I like it and yeah definitely good to see that they're KTM put it in their power power parts catalogue absolutely what I failed to mention is that I've also installed a throttle cam so two billet aluminium billet throttle and it's got interchangeable cams I can show you in the packet you probably didn't even notice it was in there but no not at all I got I've never used one I think it yeah it's just the the way the track is the factor of that and the vault door it was a little bit hard but um I think once yeah you'd have a good tire and good like fairly good conditions um really good thing is that you get the good use out of that sort of stuff so but the main thing is that you didn't notice a problem not it's not the worst installing something uh I did this not as better than what bottled water wasn't got a so no it's it's definitely still kind of feels like the normal throttle tube but I think in better conditions it'll definitely make a big difference you really get the advantage of that it's not that it's a delayed response because I was using it and all the extreme stuff we were doing yeah and I think if anything it was probably just helping me find that bit of extra Drive yeah it really isn't there at that time indeed you do a little less damage when you've got all these bits protecting it yeah it definitely keeps a biking fairly good straight shape and good good condition as it is that Bosch plates already taken a few hits so it's doing its job indeed and so on there and yeah holding up for the beating so it's good hope you guys have you days

A bit of an advertisement for KTM Powerparts but some really good riding/crashing in there as well.

You can crash proof a KTM but you sure can't break-proof one.
