KTM 525 Power Wheels Land Rover Build - Hessick Moto

it sounds pretty good I'd be a little cold but yeah so it's like cut the front and the rear off of a Polaris like four wheeler pad independent rear suspension so a arms shocks brakes chain drive all of that was borrowed from the quad and then I built the chassis in the middle just kind of a big cradle so you could sit low keep your weight down shove the motor about ten inches forward kind of helps with weight because we're sitting on the back fuel tanks up in the front radiators where it goes and that's all carved out for actual cooling there's a fan in there that was a pain to do but it turned out really nice extended the body like six inches or so that's this panel and lengthen the roll bar actually built a steel roll bar because this was all plastic with a little car wheels body doors open and close typically when you're mashing around you can take them off like a Jeep show you the motor in there that's a KTM 525 also came from the quad so instead of being six gears it's five and it has reverse so that's kind of nice because just back out did true dual exhaust but big these are kind of like Harley style mufflers it sounds pretty good might be a little cold but not quite as loud as the Jeep but it's not allowed small small fuel tank so we added a whole gallon fuel cell these are odo packs ok looks like a cute Gary can so that way we're carrying two gallons of fuel which goes about 40 miles is what we've had figured out you've taken it 40 miles already yeah so we did 50 miles in Bend which is kind of like high desert sandy stuff like this with old ATV trails in a weekend and then I've done about a 25 30 mile trail day out in the woods in your home body hinges up so you can access everything work on it if need be it's a good idea today you can see this sway bar for the rear independent rear suspension they didn't kind of see where parts of the ATV start and and yeah basically like this front all the way across that's from the quad and then the rear I built most of it all from scratch but using the the a arms and suspension everything was just robbed from the from the quad nice performs well didn't change that because we can actually pull these two pins too and take the whole body off and it's just that easy [Music] so here's your extension and as the diamond plates covering anything up or is that just an informal body that was you know piecing three pieces of body together because the fender Wells on the rig we're like right here so this is all just a void in there and the diamond plate kind of trick you see through a bit like it's all gone see what with the full size hitch huh yeah lots of accessories and - it's just kind of your standard accessory I can move my trailers around yeah that's great I put a wheelie bar back there pit bike rack Cinderella might have met her match definitely yeah it'll be interesting to see how they compare on the track though so we haven't really done a proper lap time in this configuration plan is to do a warm-up lap or to feel it out and then do a lap time just in case the engine asides but today is this last day so we have to see who's faster right so we need to do that we'll do that first and then we'll go play I think we're in for a really good race she's going pretty strong today gonna feel healthy right right the track tune is I don't know where you should be going faster it's so cool seeing something next to it 45 nice 32 45 yeah you've crash you okay Steve okay what happens we're going downhill I couldn't see the goggles did the wrong thing it's time to see how much these things weigh so we're gonna waste Steve's Land Rover first and then we'll wait Cinderella and see how they compare [Music] [Music] what's the verdict yeah 470 474 pounds good night look at this suspension drop though I bet this thing jumps like a boss that is awesome all right it's Cinderella's turn seventy-two nutbag 803 99 it went up what's the answer 95 so Cindy is lighter by almost a hundred pounds you're also like a that's a good thing you got more power than and more grip yeah good thing I got a 5 to 5 in that big [Music] [Music] that was a lot better lot better let's see if the Jeep can hit sub 30 [Music] yeah 29:47 silly point what could 5 he's so bent he can't even steer he's sending it that hard [Music] but you hit sub 30 a new standard has been set yeah now Steve you have all day to beat that so we're looking for some bearings to replace the dead wheel bearing here and Clinton looked in this in the entire pile and found this which is an original Barbie car front wheel it all started with that later on we need to put that on there and drive it around like that for sure [Music] [Music] [Music] did you see how far I went on that last one dude I think my front tires hit here actually you can [Music] [Music] now it's almost 10:00 too much oil in the face I can't drive like that sideways all the way you guys are neck-and-neck there it's funny because you know they're kind of I mean this is the closest thing to this that's ever existed yeah but they're still so different in how they handle [Music] [Music] this probably means Ethan found a new full send opportunity what do you think land rover doesn't do drops [Applause] [Music] [Music] so today is super official Cinderella finally has a playmate that can hold up we found some jumps we did some racing that was terrible seen better days huh yeah she's been sitting for a couple minutes just hard yeah watery oil it's more water than oil yeah I can't believe this thing hasn't just totally cooked yet yeah I don't know how it still works just Allah and it starts first kick most of the time if it doesn't randomly get flooded with water which sometimes happens when they stall it it just like gets a bunch of water in the cylinder but otherwise when it's warmed up it just but first cake every time they're extremely different for looking similar in the same ideas thing 70 miles an hour in power rules cars jumping code 85 I haven't I haven't tried for a land speed record yet yeah well we have a six-lane would on a six-lane wide straightaway yeah that was close when I had my own airfield yeah we'll see a tional supposed to be fair I geared it specifically for that run and had racing slicks specifically for that run I don't think it won't happen yeah I figure like our next flat track race I have like flat track who's your tires yeah you should build a strap so you can squish it all down so it's lower I'm just gonna do different like actual a little like outlaw cart shocks and just oh just slam it to the ground keep it stiff in the out good not be cool and maybe crank down there sway bar on the one side yeah thanks guys for watching this video if you want to see how Steve built the Land Rover you can get on his channel at ESSEC moto also we have new merch we have these super warm comfy hoodies we got two designs and we have long sleeves so go check out our store to check that out and we got this one as well so our Mad Max themed it's pretty sweet so check those out make sure you give Steve some love for us he drove all the way out here with the rover to make that video with us and it was so much fun we can't wait for the next Power Wheels build we'll be dropping that in a couple weeks and none of you guys know what's coming it's gonna be a lot crazier than your guesses some of your guesses are pretty dang accurate but it's gonna be wild so subscribe for that and peace
