Koh Samet 2024 guide, best beaches, hotels, virtual tour • Ko Samed BEST escape near Bangkok

KET has 14 amazing beaches and in this video we're going to visit the very very best most beautiful perfectly white sand beaches that I think that should be part of your visit if you ever visit cross uh we're going to visit each Beach uh and we're going to actually chat about some of the resorts that that I stayed at and you might want consider if you visit [Music] cat so this is a little preview of what you'll see in this video uh custom ad has some amazing night life it has fire shows on the beach you know we're going to talk about how you can rent a scooter how you can get around the island uh which beaches I think are better uh place to spend your time and perhaps even which places you might want to avoid um but hang with me this is a really exciting video you're definitely going to have a good time so on this particular visit to cat I stayed here nine days I actually stayed at this Resort you're looking at right now and I'll tell you more about that later in the video this one was unique it was on the end of a peninsula had a great Breeze all day it was really nice so hang with me for a while wo so getting to KET from Bangkok is actually quite simple and you have many different options you can take a bus right from the eomi BTS station uh right in downtown Bangkok right to the pier at costat you can take a private taxi you can take a a minivan with other people you can uh you can can drive uh it's about a 3-hour journey from Bangkok to costet uh and it's not expensive if you want to take a private taxi you can do that for what I saw as little as 2,000 [Music] bot so to get to the island AC costat you can either choose the slowboat or the fairy which takes about 45 minutes or if you're adventurous and you want to get there in 10 minutes you can take the speedboat and I got to give you a fair warning it's an adventure these guys take great pride in the seeing who they can make sick you'll get there quick you'll be a little wet but it's a lot of [Music] fun so once you get off the boat and onto the pier you're going to have to pay 200 tii bot or about $6 each person to enter the island is as the national park [Music] fee so once you arrive in CET you'll be uh dropped off at this pier and you're going to walk down this pier and you're going to be dumped right into this little Plaza there'll be a bunch of song Towers waiting for you a song tow is like a pickup truck taxi which you'll probably join with other people to get you to your destination or if you're like me and you're like most folks on costat you're going to get a scooter where you can have total freedom and you can enjoy this amazing Island whenever you want to do it however you want to do it scooter costs between 300 and 400 bot per day depending whether it's weekend or weekday so that is around uh $9 to around $12 a [Music] day so I spent a night here at Tonga fa which if you're looking for kind of a remote uh quiet beach with a remote cabin that looks just like this you know this is you know kind of a cool place I wouldn't say that the service in know is like a luxur Resort or anything like that in fact I know that's not the case but if you just want to hide and just have peace and quiet you might enjoy a night or two here as well but stay with me because later on in this video I'll show you a couple other places I stayed and uh there's so many cool unique places to stay on caat but this one here was unique and different there's this roster bar right next door to it that if you're into that kind of thing uh you might enjoy it here [Music] so the island is less than 7 kilometers long and right now we're going to take a little journey down to the South tip of the island which is very remote there's really not much going on down there but it is definitely worth your time to explore it check it out check out these views here uh you don't want to stay down here uh in your Resort but you definitely want to get down there and explore it again I recommend the scooter to do that and if you come down here uh go to these places that I'm marking on this video and I'll leave links in the description as well and make sure you walk down to the water to see this what you're looking at right now it you know it's really cool it's worth your time to do that and uh if you hang with me you'll see some more stuff that you should explore and some of this stuff you won't discover easily uh you got to kind of look for it [Music] you know the southern tip of this island has a distinctly rugged feeling to it uh as compared to the East End of the island which has like beautiful Serene perfectly white sandy beaches and and then the west side of the island has the only Sunset View Beach on the entire Island and so you should know that there's 14 beaches but only one of them has a Sunset View so if that's important to you you should note that [Music] [Music] this is a lot steeper than it looks it goes a long [Music] way [Music] so I hope you enjoyed the visit to the south end of the island now we're going to take the scooter and go over to the west view of the sunset so a good place to catch the [Music] sunset [Music] so this is the only Sunset View Beach on the entire Island and there are several Resorts here and you may enjoy that I got a tell you I prefer the east side of the island which has a a better energy and a better Vibe for me and stay with me and you'll see more of that in a bit but uh hope you enjoy [Music] that s Kai Beach is the most popular longest and it's a beautiful beach but I prefer the more quieter um smaller beaches so I'm not going to focus at all on sa Kai Beach and this [Music] video so I spent three nights at the vmar CED Resort which is on a peninsula directly between Wang danan Bay and no [Music] Bay so you can either walk or drive your little scooter down this little Alleyway and right at the there's a little tiny dirt parking lot for us scooter people and uh and then you can just walk right there right out onto the peninsula and you'll see the [Music] [Music] resort [Music] [Music] o [Music] I stayed here [Music] [Music] go [Music] [Music] go so the vmar SED Resort is at the end of the peninsula so there there's always a a really nice Cool Breeze here which which is really welcome when you're in Thailand but anyway uh I had three good nights here and I really enjoyed it and so at the end of my three night stay I just went right down the beach and I parked myself here I had this really cool quaint little Bungalow for for nights right on the beach SED Cabana which is just a two-minute walk from thear SED and it was really [Music] [Music] nice [Music] [Music] me [Music] okay so now we're going to head over to tubtim beach or tubtim Bay and uh I did not stay here at this particular Beach on this visit but my plan is to on my next visit to stay here and I I'm going to tell you why and show you why as you watch this video a little further tub Tim has a really chill relaxed Vibe it's it's quite small and uh but it's kind of quiet but the great thing about it is you can walk right here along the water to the more exciting nightclubs if you want uh and and you're going to see more about that coming up but it's really got a chill Cool vibe there's a really good restaurant right here as a matter of fact the best meal on the entire N9 days I was here on my last visit I had my very very best meal here at The Reef Restaurant what an awesome meal I had and I'm I'm going to tell you the price was excellent [Music] so I would consider Sid tubtim or SID Villa Resort right here at tubtim Beach uh it's a really chill Vibe right here and I I just think both of these Resorts look amazing [Music] and you know when you want a little bit of excitement you can just take a stroll right down to the beach and head over to the alai Beach night life which you're going to see right now [Music] [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] okay so now we're going to head out on the scooter to the south end of the island we're going to go to my very favorite Beach aw Beach really sit back and enjoy this for a [Music] minute ah look at look at that so my best discovery on this island was aw Beach having a coffee here with some pineapple fritters and then enjoying this beach was really the highlight of my nine days I loved it here I really hope you'll take a second to
