Knocking on Doors… to Fly A Stranger Around the World (ENDED IN AFRICA)

how amazing would it be if we just leave you here tonight am i okay there is a possibility i feel eaten by [Music] we are in dublin we came here to give away the ticket that we worked so hard to get that around the world ticket and we're going to be knocking on people's doors here and asking them a simple question do you want to go on an around-the-world ticket for seven days starting in two days all right let me get you up to speed last week amar traded his way from a paper clip i'm trying to trade a paperclip all the way to an around-the-world plane ticket he literally pulled off the impossible our challenge just ended we just did it what and his final objective to celebrate being able to travel freely for the first time in his life while wanting to surprise someone with this ticket he worked so hard to earn was to go knock on random doors give the ticket away to a complete stranger and immediately fly off on this week-long trip to three different continents the locations of which you'll find out along with this lucky stranger but going door-to-door is a very difficult way to approach someone walking up with cameras and putting them on the spot from the comfort of their own home is likely going to generate a lot of mixed reactions so to start this adventure off amar chose to ask strangers in the city of dublin ireland why are we in ireland because irish people just freaking rock every irish person that i know is the coolest so i keep saying we who who is we because bryce is not with me anymore i'm joined with flo who is a s3 subscriber and an aspiring creator and i asked her do you want to join me and help me capture this adventure and be a part of it and she said yes yeah we're just gonna get started see how the pitching goes this is a little this anxiety not knowing who's gonna pop out is the hardest part so super nerve-wracking hello how are you and basically what i have to offer is a trip around the world with a stranger that will say yes would you like to go on an around the world trip and who are you next there's nobody hanging on to the next one i am looking for someone on an around the world trip oh man if you caught me like 10 years ago before i had three kids i'd be all over that hello guys this is the reason we won't be doing it hello hi how are you hi my name is amar hi hi and i am trying to find someone who will say yes to coming on an around-the-world trip that will take seven days and goes to three different continents my mission is to find the person who will say yes to that and then take them on that trip starting this weekend um i don't know like what is this about is this like would you go away for a week where to three continents what three continents no way yeah for a week it is real it's not sure could we get you an emergency passport i mean couldn't you oh this is for real it is 100 for real this is ridiculous i'm gonna go find the password okay he actually has been looking after his dad for the last four years and his dad passed away in february birds we've gone to spain and it's for a week but it's very stressful because you've been like so busy you're like uh yeah so like he hasn't had a real break well i hope i hope this works out i thought do i i really do i really do but they might they might tell me that's like no this might be a waste of time it's you know what i'll take the rest i have faith i faint how could they say no to me i'm peter by the way amar amar nice to meet you mark flow cool name i like flow i hope it works out peter i love you i really do when was the last time you left the country oh years i just spent the last five years looking after my dad with alzheimer's so like he passed away a couple of months ago so i haven't heard that we're just being at home it seems like you're a great son but ah you know what he's a great dad you know what i mean what can you do like you know listen to this mr taxi driver so if i get a passport play you know in the next couple of days i get to go and take three different continents you're a lucky man i mean hopefully i'm a lucky man i'm going to go in there and like i'm going to start crying and i'm not going to leave the password opposite later like you know there we go okay um no okay so this is a mark it's been up to my door it's going on a holiday for three continents around the world and my passport's out of date it's true we have to stop recording because it's government workers we can't be filmed but everybody here is so helpful and so kind the officer is now on our side and he's really trying to help to make him pick up the password in 24 hours he's like i'm gonna see if there's an appointment today so that he can get it on thursday he's on our side don't worry yeah [Music] they're telling me i can't smile in the photo i mean how can you not smile in the photo [Music] all right you've got an appointment 9 40 am tomorrow holidays brilliant nice speech it doesn't feel real he's like a character out of a movie i swear to god he's still running it is day three in dublin we are going to meet peter right now he's about to pick up his brand new passport which he submitted the application for this morning and he was able to get it all done in the same day which is incredible peter don't have it no amount of bread working calm me down at the moment i've been telling everyone there's no one the guards down the police station the taxi man the people in the pobo don't know me they're like a few mates that i text they're going oh yeah sound listen we have to have pints soon people think i'm spoofing i've never seen someone more excited absolutely yeah it's like a kid a christmas 40 year old man with just the childlike spirit she didn't fill in the form i'm only joking he got me yeah there we go let's get some stamps in there let's get some let's do it are you coming with us yeah all right five three legos i'm not going to tell you where we're going the next destination until we get to the airport leaving that place okay so i'll know at the case i'll be like oh i'm going here 4 30 a.m dublin ireland the journey around the world begins [Music] good morning brother good morning how are you ready for the discovery first i know i can't wait to do it our first destination on our three-stop trip is drumroll lisbon portugal no way portugal yay and it begins [Music] okay so 36 hours in lisbon we heard that this is the best way to explore so we've got sandra here he's going to take us around let's do it so tell me what i do nothing i don't talk ah yes i just voiced lisbon they knocked on my door i don't even know these people three concerts in seven days i don't even know where i'm going later i'm serious [Music] everybody said we had to try these portuguese tarts enjoy [Music] so what what what do the butterflies mean so the butterflies because they fly they are free they become to be ugly and then they are beautiful things the fenix because i have a huge problems in my life i lost my home i get along with my oldest kid and then i race from the ashes and the fedex is for that i'm a tough girl but uh i i have feelings i'd say like you should send me home and just take sandra on holiday she's lovely just have her join our crew like sandra just park for a couple days [Music] you've been here before i've never been vertical i mean i went into the toilets in the hotel and i was like wow you almost have tiny bums here let me see this i was like sticking my fingers up against the toilet rolls going like that's tiny i'm taking these hankies at me [Music] you make my day the energy you have the smilings and tell me things that we can imagine okay [Music] open your mouth i'm gonna have you eat the sun close your mouth [Music] all right peter it's that time again [Music] we are going to asia oh my god okay are you ready to tell me where it is a big place okay we are going to istanbul turkey no way oh my god islam here we come when was the last time you left europe today 2008 what [Music] [Music] it is first morning in istanbul peter and i decided to wake up early i'm going to take peter to turkish hamam the turkish version of a spa and it involves someone else scrubbing you it's uh will i need a safe word well i need a safe word yeah just say pineapple [Music] [Music] is cheers and irish ah cleaner than i've ever felt like little whistles no i don't even know the clean is a whistle that's it now it's time to go explore istanbul here we go with a clean body with a clean mind yeah like i'm shining [Music] this is peter's first ever visit a muslim country and he's never been to a mosque so we're gonna check out the last event [Applause] we got here late last night peter went out for a walk and all the people that were on the street were the bouncers at the clubs and the bars apparently he made friends with them yeah came home around high five [Music] [Music] so [Music] thank you okay thank you [Music] that is the perfect time to go do this cruise with the sun like this [Music] peter's first turkish chain [Music] yeah yes theory so you say yes to things anyway they knocked on my door and wrapped mines today do you know what they're looking for somebody to i go do holidays on friday for seven days across three continents can you believe that no word of a lie boom that was the message i sent out [Music] wow peter went out last night and he literally just walking around this and then the bouncers they're like we're in it for a big adventure over the next few days so tomorrow we're gonna take a very long flight the best is yet to come [Laughter] [Music] airport it's like a promotional rollercoaster you know yeah up here another day another airport for the biggest and final destination we're gonna be going on a safari in tanzania no way in the next three days oh my god really so we're going far we're going to tanzania down down in africa [Music] this is my first time going back to africa since i was in egypt last time so like back to the home continent i'm very excited this is ammar and this is flo and i'm peter and we're going to tanzania we're gonna go through immigration right now i don't need a visa for the first time in my life we need a visa and he doesn't and we're gonna get picked up and head straight to the bushes to start our safari check it out nice to meet you sir you're welcome to tanzania thank you always dreamt of being one of those [Music] this is the center for africa from the cape to cairo wow so this is like midpoint yes middle of the continent listen over i am oh my god don't show him the bananas he says what the hell okay welcome home [Music] did this come i didn't sleep too much but i woke up super excited before we start we've got some stuff for the team peter blue one thank you bam let's go seek some discomfort let's do it we're ready for the adventure okay you're welcome guys okay we just arrived at the national park and uh lazarian our guy told us to close the window close the windows the monkeys will rob your stuff that's an elephant skeleton yeah that is unbelievable and i thought i had a big head i'd like to introduce you to our first encounter with a wild animal hahaha and bala i can't imagine the size of toilet paper they use but there's some elephant poo but our second encounter wild animal is over there could you tell me again what it is please a dick dick great smallest antelope in the world [Music] doesn't want to talk to me probably an introvert well i don't like to polarize things in life but some things just are black and white we have zebras that is stunning that is amazing interesting thing with the stripes is like your fingerprints they are not the same really sure put this in computer so far yes nice guys and they're all just good friends getting along it's not great we all need to get along a little bit more in life [Music] look at that smile on peter's face right now from those days you wish never ends for the first time this one coming out of the tree [Music] i can't believe how close we are [Music] it's a giraffe [Music] just had our first encounter with a big cat i've always wanted [Music] um yeah peter has headphones on he has no idea what i'm uh talking about right now we're discussing the potential of leaving him he'd hate me for it no or maybe not i think he'd love it the idea is leave him with the village tonight and then listeria will just can't pick him up tomorrow i think for last night in tanzania that would be the most memorable night of his life [Music] hello i'm too excited right now tomorrow we're gonna go to this other village that is more for like tourists want to see the maasai but this is actually like where he grew up like this is the real deal this is not like where tourists go to see the maasai dance and all of that so we made a slight change of plans and peter has no idea hi my friend how are you omar his name is john it's goats in there oh yeah those are the babies definitely not dublin [Music] this is a kitchen where we cook there is another room there is for the cows i didn't even see this [Music] overwhelming never met foreigners before yeah oh wow peter and his new family you think i'm joking [Laughter] you think i'm joking but i'm not no no no on the way here we had a slight change of plans we just thought how amazing would it be if we just leave you here tonight yeah yeah i'm gonna set you up with a place to stay and i'm gonna leave you with this gopro to record your record your experience you're serious yeah and then we're going to come pick you up in the morning come on okay he's just like i'm down rolling with the dice leaving you completely and coming in the morning having no idea how your experience went would be really funny tony's a very subjective family one man one village so excited what did you say thursday thursday so i was like leaving our last thursday oh yeah we left seven days ago seven days ago and now i'm here there is a possibility however remote it is i should get eaten by a lion tonight definitely not in dublin how do you say i'm ready in the language i got it wrong passing the gopro on to peter this could be the last footage of me ever seen alive after i go for a wander who knows wow here we go oh yeah oh look at that first stick i think john's brother's house where he has a cow that is having a bit of trouble in labor and apparently john's a great expert in it this is the cow that's in a bit of distress and john here is a bit of an gonna believe it otherwise we started in dublin we met in dublin finished in tanzania and it's been it's been epic thank you sir and truly it's really happened and i watched people do and please it has felt both freeing and revitalizing from a creative standpoint we have so many learning lessons from these past two years that we are going to take some time to digest and reflect on to come back next year more intentionally than ever before the dna of yes theory has and is changing and we're honestly feeling excited to swim in the direction of that changing current rather than trying to swim
