Kirby: Planet Robobot - Part 14: Row Row, Fight the Puyo

hello everyone welcome back to the kirby planet robobot's collected you beat the game yeah so i got this dick bag as a sticker that's totally worth it where did this dick bag come from it came from the bag of dicks oh that's is that part of the kirby lore uh now it is it's hard to keep up yeah i know that's everything there's just so much going on it's all part of the kcu oh my god i don't know for some reason i thought of ksc for a second it's like the image of colonel center just flashed in my head this is a really [ __ ] bizarre crossover colonel sandals just a kirby power yeah yeah yeah what would that be he gets the mustache in there and he throws chicken wings at everyone okay oh but he can already copy suffer off and smash brothers [ __ ] there's already a t cross promotion in the back oh my god oh damn it oh no kirby i mean better than verizon i guess that's what you're talking about 18 when did at t become better than verizon since that should pie okay yeah i've got i've got disney plus with my verizon plan so i'm gonna say i prefer verizon hashtag shell shell wasn't it what playstation thing was it was it the vita where it just like the vita party with it as a cell phone with a t and t and then everybody in the crowd just like went dead silent i think that's also what killed the engage history repeats itself i mean when you think about it the vita is just uh uh an n-gage but bigger really it's two gauges duct taped it together yeah okay okay so they're in a production meeting right it's like okay what if we took meta knight but made him even edgier and gave him a clown nose shoulder guns it's pretty intense though to be fair like he must have a lot of like core strength because that's a lot on your shoulders right now does he have shoulders yeah shoulder guards but does he have actual shoulders no he does not okay i'm glad that we i'm glad that we assuming he's just kirby i mean he is if you if you if you had paused the game i think the text would tell you that's why the shoulder guards exist they replace actual shoulders in his anatomy yeah but then what are they guarding because they're not shoulder guards if they don't guard his shoulders they're guarding the uh the void between arm and shoulder void guards i guess then would be the correct term yeah i suppose look he put all this it's a bit of an edgy name for a shoulder guard oh damn oh damn a scorpion tell where was he hiding that sick um you know it's probably it's just nanotech yeah hammer space pocket probably yeah a hammer space pocket so they're miniaturizing those now i mean this is robot technology all right they can do whatever the hell they want ow holy [ __ ] i'm impressed i was nice i never garden kirby like ever kirby you're literally blowing smoke up my ass i i really like poison in this game out of the new power-ups it's probably my favorite if only because the idea of doing chip damage over time in a kirby boss is just not something you've ever really had the ability to do before i guess like arrow is kind of the closest we've ever gotten to that but i don't know i just think that it's a really neat play style and it has a lot of good long range moves that i like using i generally prefer the ranged kirby um powers for bosses versus the get up close and personal ones like themed abilities for rubble bot well they did besides the whole armor but like nothing specific to her this game even this game doesn't even have laser doesn't it yeah it would have been a good chance to give you a um laser a retool move set like they did with cleaning and star allies because cleaning is basically just a brand new power of the map thank god they had the opportunity to also like go back into a computer system like in the superstar yeah they didn't do that like an rpg yeah which is really weird because uh the security bots you fight in this game have hp values whenever you do damage to them and as if it's an rpg balls but it's like it's not that's like that's a really weird well you are actually doing that much damage is the thing like yeah yeah but it's also the only boss that has that yeah like so people have used the the robots in order to determine like the damage values of all the moves did mechanite plus just was it actually meta knight in there yeah corrupted yeah yeah they kidnapped meta knight and they forced him to become a robotic slave pretty much like it's robotic slave in quotes because it's just his mask why because this mask falls off he's still why does haltman have that font he has his own unique font because he has not a unique font i've seen that font in like 25 000 different games i know he goes he goes to the font websites and actually pays the 30 phone that's the same goddamn font that naruto games use it's to signify that his voice is different which is i do like when games do that uh paper mario is great at using the text yeah shuffle knight does that too um shovel knight yeah shovel knight is another game that does that really well um and undertale oh oh how do you what does comic sans sound like though is the thing yeah exactly okay i kind of walked into that one oh man but anyway he's just talking to kirby and kirby's like what the [ __ ] are you talking about this isn't cake joke's on you i can't read but i can't kirby can't read he can't understand spoken language he's just staring at him like with the hamstring the hamstring moving in his head he's just staring at him so just by complete [ __ ] coincidence that you're ruining my place kirby is thinking as he stares at this [ __ ] is eggs scrambled sunny side up hard-boiled car carted milk just falls over so many choices i don't think kirby even cooks eggs though he just buys a carton and then downloads the whole thing at him swallows the whole thing that's ultimate protein so no that's gaston kirby and gaston would get along until gaston starts being a dick until gaston starts speaking yeah pretty much [Laughter] i gotta say though i i'm not a huge fan of this boss fight but i love the design of haltman's stupid gaudy ass neck like he's got some cool shades though yeah like the the shades the fact that the the point on it's a gemstone and it's bedazzled and all that those are those are very 80 shades so that explains the synthetic the shades stick out compared to everything else um i guess this breadheart looking [ __ ] susie also put on a visor when she was riding her neck and like visors while having the mech on is kind of like an anime thing as well you know so i guess that's what they were going for is president haltman a heartless oh damn they kind of go into that like yeah in the upcoming thing he's like he's fused with the star dream and has lost his sense of self and all this other all this other stuff the more i think about him there's money yeah but like it's like there's so much goofy [ __ ] going on with this boss fight which to be fair i love i love the goofiness going on with the boss fight it's just the change in tone when you read the the pause screen yeah i've come to appreciate the the intensity behind the lore but then when i think about oh it's a kirby game and you're fighting a disgruntled ceo i mean again i i'm okay with their being like deep this is the this is on it's just the the jeff bezos of the kirby oh man we're supposed to feel so bad for jeff bezos you know like i know he was just trying to get this giant robot computer to find his daughter and then take over the world you know man if i was in this boss fight i'd stop immediately after he's [ __ ] started throwing money at me i don't think kirby understands the concept of money he's like god damn i can go buy so much cake oh i wanted a peanut money can buy you many penis explain money could be exchanged for goods and services puyo but then think about it though kirby i don't think is forward thinking enough to realize that you could pay with the money and would just try to eat the money himself if he was hungry it'd be like and then he'd become money kirby i guess although i don't know what abilities money kirby would have maybe like investing in gamestop and actually making a profit out of it yeah asking to speak with your manager i think would probably be one of the moves okay with curtis kirby with the caring haircut yeah you know what she screws into the microphone but instead of chester which is stunks so so a special attack is to demand to see life's manager um okay and you know what kirby does fight god a lot which is basically like life's manager when you think about it so i think it works really well i think we're just spoiling the plot of the next kirby game i hope we are or at least the next several kirby games oh oh oh looks like a little dab he was just doing dead oh look at those low quality pngs flying around holy cow oh man you know i kind of want to see these uh 3ds games on the star allies engine just to see how they would look actually i got 60 fps and not 30. that'd be nice didn't fighters 2 run at 60fps yes okay so they could do it they can but will they nintendo can do a lot of things nintendo could do a lot of things that they don't i thought he was yelling sausages yeah you're all wild sausages you would definitely be the guy to be throwing you want to know what sausage you can have sausage sauce on your pasta that sausage would go great with my eggs see sausage has is very uh versatile when we think about the the impact of breakfast foods that's true they should put sausage and smash we already have captain falcon oh damn oh damn oh yeah and this just comes out of nowhere where susie is actually like a spy it's like this literally is not foreshadowed even the smallest bit and i'm like what the [ __ ] i mean it's about as as random as uh megalor being like oh i was actually evil the whole time well i think it works better when you're like it is somewhat foreshadowed if you talk to him is the thing because mackler has a lot of dialogue you probably have no idea what i'm saying i mean susie becoming a good guy is something that i could have guessed but happening this way seemed a little weird well i don't think susie necessarily became a good guy uh she basically does she helps you beat the final boss only after she [ __ ] up herself though yeah but i mean that's isn't that technically character development oh no mr krabs hello do you how do you see now he's speaking with a normal font he speaks in the same [ __ ] elite speak as the hammer brothers and partners and i don't know hello i want you to play that song again oh jeez is what operating system do you think he runs on linux uh what is 98 same as switch oh no he's on me no wonder he wants to destroy the world it's okay his ping's too high it's gonna take forever and the time it would take for windows me to load up a world destroying program you could finish that novel you're working on so yeah yeah but then you're about to destroy just as you finish so what was what would be the point you'd finally finish that novel you've been working on you know just in time for it not to be published slowly getting away we are about to witness one of the greatest scenes in kirby history do tell that's what's up we're gonna oh good job everyone this episode of kirby planet robobot has been brought to you to do was try to take over the world is that so wrong yes it's a little bit i think suzy mainly just gets by because she's like kind of adorable and she's one of the few like female characters in the the kirby franchise yeah pretty much it's the same reason why people uh let goro catchy and persona 5 get away with all the [ __ ] he did it's cause they think he's cute here we go here it goes the greatest this scene was part of it really blew my mind because i'm seeing the scene it's just like oh man we're gonna fly on the halberd and like go and fight the thing and it's like no you don't fly on the halberd you become the halberd oh baby's so good oh it still keeps the stickers i didn't know that what did you do to my ship kirby yeah i was gonna say what the [ __ ] i just came here to collect from the superstars [ __ ] you you made this i made this kirby uh be like okay bro i'm gonna borrow your car for the weekend it comes back it's a different color and he doesn't fill the gas back up wow did that ship just nod at me and also what happened to meta knight no he got absorbed in the process i don't mind the makeover dude but what's with the [ __ ] fish on the fin kirby where did you learn to fly oh man this this song it's so i oh i love phase one of star dream so much um oh yeah no okay now i'm remembering i just picture this thing turning around and on the other side it's andros i mean give it give it a minute and you're actually not too far off only i have the brains to rule dreamland i [ __ ] god i remember when i got to that part of the game's like what the [ __ ] do a barrel roll oh my god i blocked star fox adventures out of my memory yeah oh jeez so i like this section but i hate the one in the true arena um the one in the true arena sucks ass cause it's actually legitimately really hard and i'm not good at star fox which is basically how this this section plays so it's just see this is why we couldn't get a normal controlling starbox game they didn't kirby so zero had to be different kirby playing a robot is the best star fox game to come out since the n64 wow i don't think you're going both um oh yeah there were panthers games on like the on the xbox yeah so okay saturn xbox yeah okay that's fair did you ever play the panther dragoon remake jon no i have not okay it's fine like good stuff yeah yeah yeah i hear it's exactly what it sounded like and that's fine yeah that's good yeah um i don't know if it'll drive enough sales for them to ever consider remaking saga which is what the game everybody really wants but i'd at least want two though because they just finished they finished one and two is just like one but again right yeah or well orta is actually fairly accessible because used copies is on next is also on the xbox store right yeah yeah it is ten bucks and you can play it on an xbox one or an xbox series whatever the new one's called i can't even remember um series x yeah so you can it's like order is fairly accessible but it's one two and the rpg that people don't rpg yeah that's not about that fantasy oh i didn't know it was an rpg yeah uh that's part of the reason why like it's it's so weird is is that it is dangerously close to becoming a piece of lost media [Music] sort of like park your aiming ridicule on a target and swerve around kinda spoiled oh no it's kingdom hearts game style though it's just so that it's a little bit easier um is the thing yeah i know but like um if you can do that then you don't have to account for your own ship's movement quite so much well it's on the 3ds it's the big thing like you have to you can't the range of motion you have while you're locked onto something is not a lot you so if you want to keep up the damage you have to like make really minute movements which is harder than it looks are you actually locked on uh it's like you're not like hard locked on but you're sort of like there's like a radius you can move where that your shots will go towards the thing you're aiming at it's hard to explain with words i suppose as opposed to explaining with other things i guess so i think this is the part that made a lot of people really like fanboy out it's really hard uh after it's the transition from phase two to phase three yeah um and i'm gonna be honest i didn't get it when i first played it just because i don't play superstar like at all so joe is just like i didn't get why it was such a big deal and then it's pretty it's pretty fan service-y i didn't understand any implications of it um but it's just cool yeah it i mean it is cool granted yes but it's just as someone who didn't play superstar as much i wasn't able to be like oh that's nova you know that just wasn't something that came to my came to my because nova was already second fiddle to marx right uh you know you don't play that mode because oh i can't wait to fight nova it's cuz no everybody remembers marks yeah [Music] and it's not even technically notebooks the colors are different but they make it more of a deal i think it's in true arena where it has the right color palette yeah it's it's like the same species as nova or whatever it just implies that there's lots of these things out there also this is straight up the defense satellite from area 6 and starbucks before i was thinking start from 64 too every time i see that transition i just immediately think of that thing so by star fox 64 2 do you mean star fox zero uh no star fox 64 uh 3d oh okay oh man i'll never understand the bizarre fascination certain developers have though with implementing space shooter games space shooter games into their other genre games like there's there's kirby there's kamia with devil may cry and bayonetta and then there's uh what's the guy's name uh near the guitar yeah are there space shooter sections in like the rpg mirrors too what i mean there's no art there's no rpg nearer nero automata is near uh i don't think so i mean there's drac i mean drakken guards oh dragon burden i forgot about yeah i thought that near was like the sea the near series was a sequel to the dragon garden here is the sequel spin-off based on a specific ending from the drakenguard series [Laughter] it's convoluted as [ __ ] man i'm pretty sure it's one of the bad endings too i believe it is one of the bad endings over dragon guard yeah dragon guard one or three i don't know but i know two is considered not a candidate at this point wait they have a whole game that's just considered non-canon yes what the [ __ ] is it because it's bad or maybe it's not i don't know honestly i can't tell with yokotaro i mean you joke about a game being non-canon kingdom hearts could have used that years ago kingdom heart well kingdom hearts is like its own like special corner that we don't take seriously kingdom hearts is convoluted but at least it's a singular timeline that makes sense once it's been explained to you it's just hard to follow from game to game no no it's plenty easy to understand kingdom hearts when you read it in a wiki article it's just that when you try to play all the games it becomes what the [ __ ] is that it's nova yep so the phase three music i really like because it also brings back the title screen theme which is we were talking about this earlier like i think that's a really cool thing of course isn't this just the perfect embodiment of the internet you crack it open and then and in the molten core of everything there's a cat meme [Laughter] i will say though like the visual callback aside it is a really strange callback because what is the correlation of bringing back so there's like talk like mag there's so much random war hidden in different places whether yeah yeah no there's a bunch of weird [ __ ] um that happens here um but basically like if i remember correctly like magalor in return to dreamland talks about how like there's these different like star things so basically nova is like rounding around the galaxy it's part of this he basically implies that he talked to mark's at some point yeah so yeah so yeah that's yeah that's a weird protractor yeah this is like secret zone in star fox one levels of weird yeah this is out of this dimension why a protractor why i think it is a reference to something but yeah protractors in real life yes uh hmm wait what look it's tt from diddy kong racing it's a pocket watch yeah i don't know i think that isn't nova supposed to be some like omnipotent being or something like that's why he's overwatching everything that happens in superstars the reason why marx gets his wish yeah yeah yeah i thought that the that the nova was like the sun of the moon was was what was going on in milky way well they were fighting but he was trying to summon nova i think to get his wish yes yeah listen so that's is like complicated and then they haven't seen curve before i don't think anyone thinks dark souls law is complicated it's just hard to dig into it all while you're playing the game it's scarce you have to actively look for it i mean the actual story behind dark souls isn't that like complex once you know what's going on it's grim but i mean that doesn't stop people from making two hour long lore videos about it but you know whatever well i mean i think there's enough in dark souls to pull from it to justify it uh but again you have to actively hunt for it it's not told to you at all uh that's a keyhole oh yeah kingdom hearts and now the halberd's gonna crash because it was blown up again who got rid of his power source uh it's grand look on yeah now it's growing the gun which i'm okay with yeah hearts what yeah well there had been a heart motif going throughout the whole boss because um like all of the portals he made were heart shaped why when you finally break through all of the shields would you swing around and go further away from the boss before diving back in because you gotta screw through him it's a very convenient shaped cross sign so it's a good thing it was it's a good thing it wasn't a phillips head [ __ ] you screwball oh damn it it's a try it's a tri-wing screw has it who the frick has an allen wrench in their pocket i'm pretty sure that was a phillips head it's phillips head and flathead so yeah it's philip that was a phillips fair enough it's not a tri-wing though then it would be screen all right everybody get ready to cry your single anime tear here oh yeah it's like sunshine it's like sun trends ending because the robot with its last dying breath sends kirby to safety superman as he cries oil tears this thing is voiced by vin diesel you see vin diesel is a great actor when he only has five lines of dialogue listen he plays to ken fighting games okay wait he plays tekken no to ken it's totally different oh my god that's what he said at the game awards why would he lie he plays he plays to ken fighting games i love fighting straight yeah oh the first street fighter game and after we're done commentating here i'm gonna boil myself up a nice big steaming pot of raymond well i love rayman oh man i can't wait to get back onto that pasta argument we had earlier and susie suffers no consequences for her actions so i think this is what a kirby game in hd and 3d could look like it's a good thing so it won't look this good the real question don't talk like that man uh the real question is that after all of that will all the king's horses and all the king's men be able to put humpty dumpty back together again not if they're there is no humpty and there is no god [Laughter] that's that was a reference john well that was there you go kirby plan now it's now now it's it's dead uh now kirby falls in eventually why is the game out of the autopsy of the robot yeah i like this game a lot um obviously i had some nitpicks it just just you know because i'm that kind of guy but it is really one of the best curvy games and you should play it if you have not played it at all and if you and if you're even a little bit interested in kirby i think it's a must play ted if you get these ted if you smack all these credits you unlock sonic and tails uh i don't know because i missed like three so the credit secrets was totaled kirby all right what are you doing i'm doing someone actually did that recently though in melee i'm doing tai bo it's exercise because the robot needs the exercise this is kirby going into hal laboratories and physically assaulting all of the people who work at the studio don't you think this is just physical force kirby is putting into pushing those buttons he has to swing his whole body into it as you all know pressing the button harder makes it work better yes just just like that leading forward gives you more concentration you can see kirby really like yeah smacking those buttons on that looks like like when mario would punch at the back of yoshi's head yeah what are you not talking about what the game doesn't reveal is that there aren't actually any buttons inside the robobot it's controlled by an xbox kinect oh god oh that port that poor kirby oh man alright kirby as we practice like retweet like every tweet like retweet like a retweet oh man hit that bell kirby you'll never get notifications that way oh yeah so i guess i should say thanks to aunt dude for showing up yeah i'm type i'm typecast as the kirby guy on the internet so i'm happy to be here no i missed one ah damn you now you're never going to get towed now it's giving you the skip button like i love that like you missed one you're like oh can i skip this and just he tried to i think what i was trying to do was reset oh yeah i mean you just re-fight the boss again and then splice it in i mean i think we'll probably do another spyro before we do another kirby so like i mean you still you still have to do uh true arena uh no i i don't and and met a nightmare you still have you there's you're not done with robo buzz listen if you want to agree if you want to carry low gets to survive if you want a rematch or race for meta nightmare i'll do that but you'd have to like actually pay me to do true arena again because i hate that [ __ ] in this game what how much yeah i was like uh we can talk about actual [Laughter] no i want to put you on the spot so we haven't already i know you're talking to smackdown listen john you always take the you always make the client tell you how much they're willing to pay first so you can see whether or not they undervalue your work i mean it could be your uh 100k for the channel reward like i'm doing 100 sunshine uh i mean i feel like i'd want to do something a little bit more substantial than the 10 minutes it would take to beat true arena so if if it'll only take you 10 minutes then what's the harm because i said not well i mean the final video would be ten minutes it would be like two hours of me trying to do it uh we've done a video on oregon trail that was yeah that's for april fool's joke it doesn't count also organ trail's great [ __ ] you we didn't make it that way uh no we died we uh john got dysentery um i think ryan drowned um jesus and someone would die from a snake bite i think it was louis i forget how i died actually loneliness is dead oh my god the end oh damn see there's more to do oh there's a question mark there's still plenty more to do murder mystery but yeah
