Kinosaki Onsen BEST Hot Springs in Japan

starting tomorrow which is pretty unfortunate good day everybody so we are headed to the train station right now we're going to be taking a train to the Onsen area we have today two trains today we've never been to this place before first time for the both of us so really looking forward to it goodbye totally it's been fun I'd like to come back again one more time at least yeah looking at that poster over there it says you can get from potpody to Kyoto Osaka or sandomiya in Kobe without transferring trains so should be easy to get here by train and I'm always in the Kansai area right Kyoto Osaka and of course I'd love to go to Kobe again if you guys ever come here there's a totally tourist information center right at the train station no problem they do have English information as well okay let's go buy our tickets [Music] [Music] so let's see which side is our train numbers in this car number one [Music] what oh it's like one train there's a train [Applause] [Music] [Music] foreign let's take the elevator that's the train we came on that's the express train that goes to Osaka the green one I don't know but I love that color thank you baby so this is a station inside the station of kinosaki it's pretty oh my gosh uh let's see is there a transfer uh tourist information center look at this town very nice welcome guys right here this is what the station looks like is that also water it's hot sand drinking water hot springs drinking water let's touch it oh it's hot I I really looking forward to going into the Onsen and relaxing so this looks like one of the main streets oh we saw this is a deep fried shrimp shop oh my goodness look at that I'm getting so excited we're going to the hotel now to drop off our bags but I just can't help looking at all the shots there's so many souvenir shopping here this is a burger shop wow kinosaki Burger there's a cafe wow this is a nice little town I like this you see the mountain in the background there's another Cafe wow there are many cafes here soba shop was here this is a another soba shop a restaurant this is closed today we are here during the off season so I'm expecting that some shops will be closed I love the cute architecture souvenir shop there's another Burger Shop there that was closed today isn't this cool guys I love the the look of this area it's his own scenario this is another nice cafe I already see like three or four things I like to try and taste this one looks like a popular shop here looks like seafood I smell um crab there's a little mini Supermarket here Supermarket every day low price that's nice you have a supermarket in this town here's a meat shop just sweet shop they're closed today maybe they'll be open tomorrow we'll be here overnight so it must be famous for crabs I see uh a couple of crab places here that sounds good too I wonder if it's crab season it's a bag Gallery here this one's another bag shop I wonder if they're famous for bags let me do some research later on it's because this really famous for bags interesting that right I didn't know that did you hear that this place is famous for bags I didn't know there was a city famous for bags oh there's so many things I want to eat here that's a nice little produce shop over there well I gotta check that out later I wonder if they have any pears we are in Helga prefecture now guys we have left uh shimane prefecture we should be at the hotel very soon I think it's just right across this bridge foreign Street to walk down this trip is definitely one of the more interesting trips I've ever taken you know all together I think it was about 12 days I think once we finish this trip but we've been to so many places all of the same region though but places that we've never been to ah here we are this is a hotel right here money this is our hotel for tonight we can't check in yet too early but they let us uh keep our bags there so now we just have our backpacks and we can explore the city we should have lunch lunch time now it's lunchtime there's so many shops Satoshi I'm so happy you know I I'm not a Shopaholic but I love looking at Shops here's another pudding shop here I heard there's a lot of sweet places sweet places yes this place is very popular yeah for especially a Kansai area yeah from outside I see but we haven't been here we haven't been here I'm so glad we came the Beautiful I'm just gonna cross over here check out the river here yeah this place is supposed to be really beautiful at night and good thing about this um on the same place good thing good thing about this uh on same place is that many of the shops are open and late shops are closed early they're actually some bars and restaurants open until 2 A.M really yeah I already checked let's let's look for something to eat first okay what do you want to eat um then I couldn't um something more like lunchtime thing uh so yeah oh my gosh that's such a good question well do you do there was a heavy fry specialty place near where we already walked past um and there were a lot of restaurants on that side Let's cross the bridge I must cross the bridge what a pretty place it's so pretty isn't it yeah this is a a crappy restaurant uh this place is open until 10 10 p.m we're actually taking a video for Tavi eats today and that's why um this video might be short for this channel but stay tuned for the tabi it's one you're gonna see a lot of food this is a really cool cafe here right here Cafe and then you got like barbecue Seafood I hear that you can buy a pass and you can try out seven different hot springs in the area this one being one of them here's a map of the entire place don't worry it's bilingual Japanese and English so guys we just finished filming for the topics Channel we went through seven different types of street food there's so much food here guys I was thinking you know I might want to eat one more for this video but I gotta save my stomach for dinner I really do anyway we're in this Cafe it's really really modern I never expected to find a cafe like this in a traditional Onsen town this Onsen has existed for about 1300 years very long history foreign thing I had yesterday was bad it wasn't good it tasted more like milk like green milk this is good so we filmed everything even before we checked into the hotel we have about maybe 10 minutes before we check in but my first impression of this town food is good lots of street food beautiful beautiful architecture very picturesque river running through the town with many bridges it has a laid back feel good mixture of newer and older shops yeah I really like it it's like there's something for everyone in this onset town anyway let's go check into the hotel before we continue the video let me quickly tell you money we're back at the hotel we just checked in guys so let me give you a quick room tour of this yokan it's so beautiful as soon as you enter you can go left or right we're gonna start off by going left so this is the bedroom as you can see it's very modern so beautiful uh the floor is tatami mat smells very fresh I love the textile that they use oh I love the feel of the the bed sheet as well I like the indirect lighting the Shoji screen window I wonder if we have a view let's see maybe not see oh okay we have a view of the one of the back streets here this is nice to look that's the river over there and then right here is the bathroom facilities here's the sink here's the mirror you got some glasses hair dryer it's very very modern this is the trash bin look at that what's here empty got some towels you got that this is for us to wear later a cup of toothbrushes a couple of towels with their logo imprinted on really nice organic cleansing foam for your face wow this is nice You're Gonna Leave Him botanics lavender hand soap that's a good brand and then this room is only shower but you know you have bath public bath that you can use all around this town so shampoo conditioner body soap I love this brand I'm so looking forward to taking a shower I know I'm weird like that and then here you have a refrigerator nice what's here tip oh tea bags four of them thank you for if this is washi looks like Washi paper huh yes is this to close the window oh nice oh perfect it looks out into onto the the river this is beautiful oh wow and then you have a nice little closet space here the living area with welcome iced matcha and lagashi a nice working space here actually something should look two of us can work here side by side yeah this is so nice wow and you got this is the telephone to call the front desk this is a lamp I guess oh there we go just tap is and you notice there's no television in this room yeah purposely they didn't put a television in this room so they could just relax and chill you know not watch the news for example guys it's nice huh so nice oh yeah it's just as nice as this chair look at this chair it's like a designer chair I love it so much probably made matcha um so nice huh the the older uh lady I believe she's the mother the person who checked in us checked us in is a younger lady and then I I believe her husband either her husband I'm not I'm not gonna assume anything either her husband or her brother was also um here welcoming us to the hotel and then the older lady I'm assuming is the mother showed us the room she looks like you know she knows her way around she knew everything about the room uh she was telling us how they just redid this room uh during the pandemic to make it easier for people to come and have a workation here that's why you see the the nice desk here I think that's such a great idea man this is such a great place to have a location it's so nice ah anyway we're gonna chill for a little bit before we go out we gotta go check out the Onsen oh my God I can't even remember the last time I went to Onsen when was the last time do you remember last time we went to Onsen Al four days ago no I didn't go to nonsense what are you talking about confusing don't stop confusing me the view is like perfect here this is the view look it's the river it's the river and the bridge this is like the perfect seat oh my goodness I already know I'm gonna be sitting here tonight looking at the river in the lamp posts all lighted up and sometimes she teases me I have this thing with lamp posts I love lamp posts beautifully designed lamp posts this is what I'm going to be wearing to go walking around town and in the evening it does get chillier so you wear this light what would you call this like a coat that's a light jacket over it and now I am ready I am ready to enjoy the towel hello everybody so it is a little past 4 P.M we have changed into a Yukata where this is the cool thing about this town you can walk around this entire town you can even visit the restaurant and shops with this Yukata yeah no problem so this is the entire ensemble from feet oh even a bag all the way to your head you look like you live here why Wow [Applause] some of the bridges some the sun is gonna set soon huh here's a public bath that we can use we purchased the the one day pass so we can visit all seven baths in the area further from the train station a very nice tree France souvenir shops it's very nice oh this is a nice shot [Music] it's interesting this is a dive kimochi with a green ume inside thank you foreign and everyone's out taking bath now our Market there's so many things to look at it's so fun here's a bag store remember this area is also famous for bags I actually need a bag [Applause] this street is called yunosato Dori Street [Applause] hey guys that looks relaxing [Music] you know it's like he can put a shot hmm looks yummy here's a beautiful Temple it's a shrine sorry it's a shrine I'm gonna cross over here this is a nice souvenir shop here [Applause] does this look like a place you'd like to visit guys oh here's another public bath this one's open we'll visit this one later on [Applause] gelato shop kimono shop what's here Cafe Fuji Izakaya although this is an Olson there are people that live here so the shops restaurants are mixed in with the residential homes so it's kind of cool you see stores selling you know things that someone living here might need like a pharmacy or a grocery store you'll find them here this is a lovely building this must be a joke on as well this is what we're wearing these are like wooden sandals you see they're wooden they they are a little difficult to walk in but I think the secret is to just walk very slowly and you should be fine but it feels very far everything feels far now because we have to walk at a snail's pace yeah the little Forest Area here see here's a residential home here in the middle of uh the Onsen area is I wonder if this is a home yeah this kind of looks like a private home too [Applause] what's this this is a nice little building ah you can try a hat and make your own fans oh that looks fun this here oh that looks delicious crab meat flavored with pepper it's a special product of this region yeah yeah we're starting off with a very furthest Onsen it feels really far but it's nice this is a nice walk oh it's an antique store oh wow it's an antique sir these are all cups like the white one and the red one the black one this is to make matcha oh they must cost a fortune not necessarily according to my my tea professional friend he says he can find really good deals at antique stores the first Onsen now of course we're not going to be able to film inside the Onsen that's a big No-No but anyway I'll give you a review of how it was after we enjoy the Onsen the first place is called konoyu that's probably it dancing is probably in that building over there oh that was relaxing look at me I look so like I'm gone but anyway it was nice it was really nice they had it indoor as well as an outdoor bath the indoor bath was a bit too hot for the both of us so we decided to just try the outdoor bath which is perfect temperature yeah like like sitting under the sky trees around us it was really nice yeah this one is definitely worth coming to although it's the furthest on the station okay are we going to another bath or we're gonna get a beer we're gonna go under the bath right away yep I you want to take another bus and very close to the next bathroom yeah okay so let's do that let's do it that sounds like a plan this is an experience that you cannot have in hakone because it's different from hakone the most of the case we stayed at the inside so we cannot go outside another bath there is a sun but not so many right also most restaurants are closed like for dinner right everyone eats up there so it's nice that you have a choice of places to eat and the places are open here they even have bars and pubs that are open until midnight so yeah definitely so far I am loving this place good on same place yeah I really want to come back again I like to stay two nights at least the lights are starting to come on at night time it's so pretty [Applause] I do have to say there's a lot of traffic a lot of cars that go past this people are living yes people are living here we cannot forget that you're right store over there and it's like uh there's some Ceramics here oh like handicraft stores ceramics but I see mostly like what is it baskets hmm very nice tour what is it it's a cake cake vending machine here balloon cake flour made from sweet bean paste that's okay 500 yen amazing I can't believe that they have a vending machine here on Friday Saturday Sunday only the weekends only the week this is another bath area gigantic this one [Applause] we've arrived at the river area again there's the river people are taking photos maybe it's like the best time to take photos [Applause] wow beautiful [Applause] uh very beautiful we just came out from the second bath oh this one was nice I I think I perfect for this one they actually had a cave outside of the inside bath so it was outside but it was inside because it was a cave it was kind of cool the water temperature wasn't too hot very relaxing it's time to go get a beer foreign [Music] okay I'm gonna get some takeout beer here local craft beer called Vietnam yes yes by the river by the river in front of us there is a bridge beautiful bridge and lighting is so nice this is a local craft beer right but it is cold so nice After hot bath hmm you look so happy yeah we even two buses both up inside the bus both are very hot yeah I like this the cave one it was able the first one was outside the second one was it was outside but inside yeah very interesting you know I'm surprised I actually like this beer I usually I'm not a fan of these dark beers but it's pretty light it reminds of coffee yeah very tasty I like this kinosaki craft beer we have four different types difficult so we decided to have Chinese food in town yeah not many places are open so Chinese food it is but this is Japanese style Chinese um cheers [Music] [Music] yeah this looks so good there's so much crab on it so much [Music] crab s usually a neighborhood Chinese restaurants they don't use real crab they use um imitation crab meat here they use real crab this is subitat which is a Japanese style Chinese students are pork I love it little onions as well that's bamboo bell pepper um [Music] really good Japanese style Chinese food in a very long time that's good Japanese style swim sour pork is not as sweet as for example like the one you have in the U.S it's more soured and sweet oh God this is something called sobameshi it's basically Rice and Noodles fried together um is good a little bit oily there's good it tastes like um like or sister Shire sauce and there's cabbage inside cabbage and pieces of pork y this shop's version of champo which is like noodles and soup is famous in nakasaki but this one looks different hmm that's good soup Savory good flavor it tastes very clean almost like vegetable broth noodles are hot it's like good mommy noodles foreign yeah my um my sobameshi was okay it was a bit oily but the egg the side dishes that we ordered or the main dishes I should say were delicious fantastic your soup was good yeah was really good too guys this was another amazing day oh wow I have to say this is probably my favorite Onsen Resort in Japan by fire I've been to hakone tens maybe maybe 10 15 times uh I've been to atami Onsen a few times I've been to a couple of others but this one I think by far is my favorite uh the atmosphere is amazing I like that it's compact yet there are so many things to do in one one spot there are actually a few temples and shrines you can visit you can even take the cable car up the the mountain where you can get a nice view and like I mentioned there's a really good mix of new and old shops I really like that some of the shops here have been in business for decades While others have just opened up this year so I like it I really really do and and satosh and I were saying you know this is a place we could probably stay for a couple of nights and you know have a nice workation as well you know this this um this some setup here you know with the with the long desk nice setup for work so tomorrow we go to another place uh we are actually going to Kyoto however it's a Kyoto that most people are not familiar with including us we knew that it existed and this is another place that had always been on my bucket list the only thing though is that the forecast calls for rain so we'll see how it goes but um we're gonna try to make the best of it and even if it rains I'm sure we'll have a good time of course I'm gonna be taking you guys along with me so with that said thank you so much for watching hope you enjoyed this one and hope you
