there's a number of individuals in the service that that you are in a very low spot there's a lot of challenges in your life and we're gonna help you dig deep today mountaintop experience has become very rare but once you get a mountaintop experience make sure that you leave that mountaintop experience with a little bit of gum because you're gonna need it in your worship at some point there's a number of individuals in this service that that you are in a very low spot there's a lot of challenges in your life and we're going to help you dig deep today because then if something needs to break it's like when somebody has a fever there's all kinds of you know remedies and mother woods my mother would say Bishop Brooks has his own remedy such a making thing you know you take that stuff it'll kick a horse a man my mother would say heats up ginger ale and put some stuff in there you know the old folks had some sort of a remedy so that the fever could break there has to be something that breaks here today for a number of people and we want to put pressure on that in Jesus name everybody say create an atmosphere all right link the reading backdrop to the scripture a hab and josaphat are kings of the divided Kingdom in Israel ten kingdoms in the north Arabs leading those the nation is called Israel one and a half kingdoms in the South that Kingdom is called the kingdom of Judah with Jerusalem as his capital the Northern Kingdom has Samaria and Jezreel Samaria is the functional capital G Israel is the political capital a avenges Abell have been ruling for some time and this award has declared by the Moabites against the northern kingdom israel a hab asks Jehoshaphat to come into a coalition a confederation to deal with this enemy in the logic that if they destroy us you're next and so together even though we are separate kingdoms together if we fight we can destroy the enemy and so Josephus says I will come to battle with you but I want to hear from the Lord and so we pick up the conversation in the middle of this dialogue and in the middle of this pending agreement verse 11 of second Kings chapter number three but your ossified said is there not here a prophet of the Lord that we may inquire of the Lord by him and one of the King of Israel's servants said here is elisha the son of shaphat who served elijah by pouring water on his hands and Josephus said the word of the Lord is with him the word of the Lord is with him not in him with him so the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah and the king of Edom went down to Elisha and Elijah said to the king of Israel what have I to do with you get you to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother and the king of Israel said him no for the LORD hath called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab and Elisha said as the Lord of Hosts lives before whom I stand surely well it not that I regard the presence of Joseph that the king of Judah I would not even regard you or see you Abe but now bring me a minstrel bring me somebody that knows music praise and worship and he came to pass that when as the minstrel played when the minstrel played at the hand of the Lord that the hand of the Lord came on him the Prophet said this rather thus saith the Lord make this valley full of ditches say that sake like you want to be here verse 17 for thus saith the Lord you won't see a wind they won't be any rain coming yet the valley shall be filled with water that you may drink you and your cattle and your beasts verse 18 and this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord our words this is a small deal I mean give God a challenge this is a small thing tell someone give God a challenge maybe what you eat is a small little thing it's just a small little car item God he's gonna show up for you and he says he will deliver the Moabites into your hand verse 22 verse 22 and they rose up early in the morning and the Sun shone upon them upon the water that filled the valley and the MOE bite saw the water on the other side has red blood and they said this is blood the kings that have put a confederation together have killed each other and so moab Siletz moving for the spoil so they left their weapons and went in to pick up the spoil and when they came into the camp of the israelis rice rose and smote them oak mites so that they fit before them and the Moabites fled into their own country father we thank you for your blessing in Jesus name Amen you may be seated say create an atmosphere please say that again last week classes teach in Iowa New York speaking at a conference there and that's another story the Sunday before we will hear in church and I said to our strategic team and most of our pastor or team that that was the worst Sunday of church services we'd had this year it was it was an awful service everything was was wrong it wasn't right the music was terrible everything was wrong and the preaching was off and and the people were off everybody was like off tell somebody you were off two weeks ago it's like you won't even hear like you won't even hear and that's just my personal analysis some folks said he was a good word whatever Amen but but I want to reiterate something here today is a really good service is there's lots of stuff happening and there's a lot of reasons for it now listen to me as I speak to you as a congregation from from a perspective of a pastor and a leader we cannot control the anointing in a service I can't control that I I can't release anointing I can jump on my gift my apostolic grace that's on my life I can tap into the prophetic that's on my life but I cannot create anointing anointing comes from God Bible tells us in turn 1029 of the Book of Isaiah that God sends the anointing to break yokes and to lift burdens and Jesus says the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor and the several things he's anointed to do but that's at his baptism that's rather after his baptism and spending 40 days in the wilderness this is when he's 30 years old so what happened in the the thirty years leading up to that point he wasn't anointed even though he was the son of God the the the will of God in the earth he was the last Adam but even the fact that he was in the earth the anointing was not sitting on him to release him into a significant ministry to seek and to save that which was lost so customarily we cannot create anointing or we cannot release anointing throughout the Old Testament and particularly in the book of Judges and significantly in the life of a man like Samson the scripture would say and the Spirit of the Lord came upon him and then he would do something and so we depend on that to happen in our lives John chapter number 334 says that God has given him whom he has sent the spirit without measure but in first Corinthians chapter number 13 the scripture says that that we prophesy in part we we have knowledge in part and speaking about revelation knowledge from God we have an anointing as it were in part in other words we don't have the phone it goes from level to level faith to faith glory to glory level to level power to power we cannot release anointing that's God's business a few Wednesday's ago at the revival services the Wednesday I was speaking on all these things are against me and so on at the end of that message try to preach as hard as I could and and and at a date with Bernstein and the boys at some restaurant because I've been traveling so much and so I to get out of the service really quickly and as I stepped off the platform prayed for three individuals you know it was just like a token prayer I don't remember the first two but I know the third person was water who works in office and the man who I touched was that the man I just put my hand in a this rush came in the room and I know anointing grab the microphone of Zephyr CHIKARA's an and said something's Anya and said to the pastor's let's pray for everybody here and I charged up the center aisle the center portion of the auditorium at 55 and prayed for as many people as we could there was a distinct notable anointing that was released there went downstairs in the lower auditorium I remember Dunkleman yonder was there going crazy praying for people and others that I saw and I pray for a whole bunch of people maybe about 300 people in all that night but the anointing came from a heavenly visitation from God so so we we cannot create any but what we can create is atmosphere tell somebody we can create atmosphere we can't we can't release anointing we can use our gift and we can use our talent and our skill but we cannot release an array me but what we can release is atmosphere everyone say atmosphere say atmosphere again okay okay so let me deal with ways in which we can create atmosphere I want us to go to Exodus chapter number 30 verse 34 Exodus chapter number 30 verse 34 this is a complete month Bible study we're just going to do a panoramic overview of the principle here in Chapter number 30 of the book of Exodus the Lord is dealing with the functions the roles of the priests as it pertains to accessing the heavens and as it pertains to God being least to the children of Israel so that they can get direct access to him and maximize his sovereignty in their humanity his infinity in the finite existence his infallibility in their very fallible lives and so he's now going to deal in the construction and the function of the tabernacle which is the courtyard holy place holiest of Holies of course you know this the courtyard the holy place the holiest of Holies in the courtyard you have the altar where they sacrificed the level where the priest washed his hands made of beaten brass which were ladies looking-glasses then you go into the tabernacle itself on the left candlesticks seven-branch candlestick on the right a table of showbread with twelve loaves of bread that the priest would eat as he would minister and then there was an altar of incense about the size of this pulpit / podium and then there was a mess of veil and on the other side of the veil in the holiest of Holies was the Ark of the Covenant the altar of incense the altar of incense was key to the things that God was going to do and let me just interject here that that when Solomon built the temple he changed the number of candlesticks he changed the number of tables of showbread he changed the lever even the size of the altar but one thing Solomon to think Solomon did not change he didn't change the altar of incense and he did not change the Ark of the Covenant those remained constant because the altar of incense represents worship it represents the release of God's power through worship now we pick up the commentary in Exodus 30 verse 34 and the Lord said to Moses take unto you sweet spices every one say sweet spices the fact that he says sweet spices it means that they are spices that are not so sweet and in other words if we're gonna worship God it has to come with bringing sweet spices and he names in the category of sweet spices he names for spices the first one is stack tea the second one is on a child the third one is galbanum the fourth one notice is not frankincense it's pure frankincense and then he says this must be tempered the wood tempered means you have to apply salt so there's 5 ingredients to this frankness this incense its Tatiana chug or bellum pure frankincense and salt but notice here of each they will be equal weight equal weight if you read earlier and I'm taking too much time with this when he's dealing with the anointing oil the weights on the anointing oil vary they vary there are different components for anointing oil and different ratios to make up the anointing oil but when he's dealing with the incense they have to be equal parts equal parts so so let's look at at at verse 35 and you shall make it a perfume say that come and talk to me say it say it loud what's this a confection after the art of the apothecary the word tempered together means you have to apply salts tempered means you apply salt the apothecary the apothecary is one that has been trained in creating perfumes it's not like somebody you know in the middle of Glenview who who has an idea to make a lotion that can go around the world that Naomi Campbell can put on her appearing wrinkles it's not like somebody that's going to take some hibiscus leaves and take a few you know envy or seeds and pick up some sudden de juice and cook something in the back of a house there in the middle of cheating Ouisa or on your stove in Borrowdale and then just bring it he says if you are going to do this thing you have to have somebody that's been trained it's the art of the apothecary they've gone through training how to create perfume in other words if we're gonna have worship here you're gonna have to school yourself in how you come before God don't just come before God anyway there's a way in which you approach God are you approaching the ambassador from someplace you are approaching God Almighty and there's a protocol that has to be used in the way you approach God's that's where it concerns me sometimes when I see the way people dress when they come to church you don't have an idea of who you are approaching now granted if you don't have money to buy clothes I understand that but but for most people that we see here if you don't take time to dress up to come to God I question your sincerity in your worship and your sacrifice to God I'm just saying I'm just saying you know for me I put my clothes out the Saturday before I do that religiously put it out before because my worship is attached to the way I dress I'm not gonna come in like some ragamuffin and some scraggly old thing amen even though I am the leader of the church I'm gonna come here dressed so that my dress means something when I approach God somebody's got to say Amen my god if you're gonna kiss the girl at least brush your teeth but this is not like kissing a girl we're talking about getting the kiss from God why are you listening to me somebody so you gotta at least prepare it it makes sense for you the bath before you come to church now you don't have water that's fine but if you do make sure that you clean yourself you come presentable because you are about to approach the creator of the universe and when you come with that attitude of sincerity God's gonna it's part of creating the atmosphere somebody used your friends mountaintop experiences become very rare but once you get a mountaintop experience make sure that you leave that mountaintop experience with a little bit of gum because you're gonna need it in your worship at some point that this trust in God this faith is the foundation and everything that makes life worth living it's our handle on what we can't see the act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors set them above the crowd by faith we see the world called into existence by God will what we see created by what we don't see I'm gonna speak life and not death Strait is coming out of ice David Freight is bringing my blessing to me faith must be cultivated it must be grown it must be tended you must go into your garden and get your hole down there and turn the soil and is an inspiration I use the moment he gives you his word is giving you a check and the moment you receive his word your attitude towards the things small must change because he has now given you evidence that the things you're hoping for are real you may start out small but start somewhere and then as you use your faith faith grows because faith these are the impossible you are not a chicken but you are a champion my brother my sister you are loaded with possibilities you are pregnant with potential in fact if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior you are a chapter fly let's look at these five ingredients for this these are the reasons you have to dig deep these are the reasons he says you have to use 30 on the chalk or burnham to a frankincense & salt let's see what stat T steady is a gum it's gum that that it's it's it's the secretion from a tree the SAP comes out from the tree and and we call it gum when I was in embark way we used to have gum collection we should go around especially by the thorn trees you know in puffer trees didn't have good gums syringa trees you know Jacaranda trees that come that comes out is not good gum you can't eat that stuff but the thorn trees have some of the best gum and we used to use that was to get the gum from the trees please lose that for trading now there were some guys in our in our school that had more money than we did and they were like mo holy Troy's he lorded already highly 20 and they wouldn't go to the bush looking for gum but we would and we would use gum I would use my gum stash to trade for a lunch bar don't laugh like that amen you all have no clue what what we're talking about because in my world a lunch raised to cost six months and I couldn't get sixpence for a lunch bar but I'd say I give you gum for a lunch bar and those days if you want to chop a chick the best way to get a chick on your side is offer a lunch bar don't you love me now teach of all the lunch box I gave you I mean you just thought I was being generous amen and so the gum the gum had to be harvested but the thing about stati this was a fragrant gum it was very unusual it was a very unusual plant that you would only find at certain altitudes in the mountains in in what would be called northern Iraq today in other words even though you're a slave coming out of Egypt and even though you're stuck in the wilderness if you're going to get access to what i want you to have you're gonna have to get people to go all the way to the northern part of Iraq in the mountains with is a very rare tree there there is a certain kind of sweet gum you have to go and get that gum and because that tree is very temperamental and releases gum seasonally the fact that you have to have equal parts in in the incense means that you're gonna have to have somebody there that's extremely patient waiting for the season of gum to be released the kind of worship you bring to what God comes from your mountaintop experiences which sometimes are very rare in your life especially in an environment that we live in mountaintop experiences become very rare but once you get a mountaintop experience make sure that you leave that mountaintop experience with a little bit of gum because you're gonna need it in your worship at some point that's called statue inertia inertia is the most difficult of these on a chart and there's various concepts and ideas but generally theologians and scholars feel the same thing about inertia inertia is the extract from an oyster animal of a sea creature at the bottom of the Red Sea but it doesn't just come anywhere in the Red Sea there's a little patch within the Red Sea where these things live and divers with divers without those little kite UM's that they use modern-day would have to go down and put their lives in jeopardy to harvest these shells of these living creatures extract them but the thing is that if they would open those shells in a way where they were not trained the creature inside that little car shell would secrete an enzyme that would destroy the on a charm that they were supposed to harvest and so they would take and scrape the shell for this very precious residue that the the sea creature would secrete as it was as it was growing and developing it's like after it would eat something and then it would release its body waste part of that would line the c-shell but it was so fragrant he said you have to add on a cha in the worship it's the most typical thing to get because of where you have to get it and how you have to get it and then how you have to open it and then it's gonna take so much volume to create an equal measure because there are times in your life when you are going to be required to dig so deep in your life well life will push you so far you didn't think you could go solo but God's gonna expect you to bring on it's on that altar you have to find it you have to find it you have to make sure that you put it in your worship number three and this is a different Bible study altogether number three Galba nam Gul burnham boburnham is also a gum and arisen it's a rare plant that's found in the valleys and and this thing was so the governing tree or plant was very temperamental because if you would like a rubber tree if you cut a rubber plant a rubber tree it then begins to release its SAP and it can be gathering a cup but GABA nom didn't work that way because if a person went and tried to harvest Garba nam by putting an incision or to lacerate the plant in some way what would happen is that it would then compromise the release of the SAP and the tree would somehow not release it and so gorbunov would only be released by the natural the natural that the natural abusing of the tree by some natural elements where the tree itself may be through the heat or may be through the wind or may be through being struck by some object where the tree through its being abused would then have some sort of a laceration or some sort of an opening and and then the tree would be very stingy in the way it would release its resin sap or gum it will release it in a very very frugal manner just a little bit at a time and the harvesters of this kind of resin would have to be extremely patient this kind of worship this kind of gum this kind of stuff is sometimes you are pushing into God for an answer for something that sometimes you pray for seven years eight years ten years in Abraham's case 25 years and the thing is that if you're going to get a breakthrough from God God requires an equal amount of galbanum along with inertia and stacking the fundamental fact of existence is that this trusting God this faith is the firm foundation and everything that makes life worth living it's our handle on what we can't see the act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors set them above the crowd by faith we see the world called into existence by God world what we see created by what we don't see faith must be cultivators it must be grown it must be tended you must go into your garden and get your hole down there and turn the soil hi are you the moment he gives you his word is given you a check and the moment you receive his word your attitude towards the things football must change because he has now given you evidence that the things you're hoping for are real you may start out small but start somewhere and then as you use your faith faith grows because faith sees only impossible you are not a chicken but love a champion but rather my sister you are loaded with possibilities you are pregnant with potential in fact if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior you are a champion for pride don't stop don't stop go stop stop say yes say yes put a praise and clapping your hands in the conference in October last year I put my hands on her and said Cassandra you're gonna have a baby there's over 600 people we pray for in that manner in all kinds of ways a man she then took an offering and sewed it for her baby we prayed for her baby hey man for somebody I don't know what your baby is what it is I am not sure what it is you in the middle of a mess of storm digging the coat faith we see the word code into existence by God's Word what we see created by what we don't see faith must be cultivated it must be grown sweet ended he was going to your garden and get your old and turn the soil inspiration hi you the moment he gives you his word is given you a check and the moment you receive his word your attitude towards the things football must change because he has now given you evidence that the things you're hoping for are real you may start out small but start somewhere and then as you use your faith faith grows because faith fees are the impossible you are not a chicken but what a champion my brother my sister you are loaded with possibilities you are pregnant with potential in fact if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior you are a champion too
