the durian the jackfruit which is the king of all fruits and what is the difference between them let's learn about these crazy-looking smelly fruits the durian is a slightly oval shaped fruit with a spiky exterior it's about a foot wide and can weigh between two to seven pounds there are many varieties of durian but one thing is common they all have a stinky pungent odour that permeates the outer shell the stench still lingers long after the actual feet inside has been removed because of its unpleasant odor durian husband banned on public transport in several Asian countries such as Thailand Japan and Hong Kong in Singapore you'll even find taxi signs to let passengers know that that they're banned the durian is a super fruit it's extremely healthy and arguably much more so than any other fruit they're rich in iron vitamin C and potassium a single durian can contain 23 grams of dietary fiber which is almost all of one's daily nutritional requirement needs it's known to improve muscle strength the skin and even lowers blood pressure and the taste it's really hard to describe it's been compared to sweet brown maple syrup old onions dirty socks bitter cream cheese cold wine garbage not exactly a list that would entice the average person nevertheless durian lovers will swear by the fruit they absolutely love the flavors it offers our head over heels for it and even grow to appreciate its foul smell to a great many in Asia and across the world the durian is the king of all fruits the jackfruit the jackfruit is related to the fake mulberry and breadfruit family it has no relation genetically to the durian it originated in southwest India where it grows in abundance over time it spread to other parts of India in Southeast Asia the Philippines Thailand Malaysia and Indonesia it also grows in some parts of Africa Brazil Suriname and less commonly in Florida Hawaii and Australia it's the largest tree borne fruit in the entire world in each jackfruit can weigh up to 100 pounds but usually on average they weighed between 10 to 25 pounds these massive trees produces green oddly shaped fruits shaped like a conehead alien and have a puffy fleshy exterior that gets soft over time inside the jackfruit contains several yellow colored bulbs or pods which are edible and connected at the core each pod contains a seed which can also be eaten on their own similar to the durian arrived on opened Jack truth has a strong usually unpleasant odor however the pulp inside an opened fruit smells sweet ripe pods have a sweet flavour similar to pineapple mango and banana not commonly known there's a theory that the popular juicy fruit bubble gum is based on the flavor of jackfruit many consider the jackfruit as another super fruit similar to the durian because it contains so many nutrients and is calorie-rich it's known to be beneficial to the immune system improves digestion boosts energy helps with blood pressure and cardiovascular and it's rich in phytonutrients which have anti-cancer properties so to many people the jackfruit is the king of all fruits so what do you think leave a comment below and please hit the like button and subscribe if you enjoyed this video [Music]
