going to talk tonight about handling life's pressures handling life's pressures because pressure comes from different sources it could be pressures from within you pressures from outside emotional mental physical material financial pleasure from different concerns with family with the future your projects your business your career uncertainties that are right in the world betrayals oppositions but god is faithful tonight i just want to bring a short teaching how to the life's pleasure because we all go through different things at different seasons in our lives we sometimes ask the question why can't life just be a great time of holiday and joy and no problems after all i did not ask to be born why can't i just have life flowing hallelujah but i want to let you know yes we can trace a lot no doubt back to the fullness of man in the garden of eden and i'm going to let you know there's no doubt that god wanted man to have pleasure not pleasure the garden of eden eden means pleasure but things went wrong and so we now have to deal with it even though we are now born again we are no different from whatever goes on outside in the world the only thing is that we are equipped with what it takes to deal with the pressures of life hallelujah ends our rejoicing that's why jesus said in tribulation be cheerful that i have overcome the world how many overcomers are here tonight praise the lord so wherever the pressure is coming from i want you to know that you have all that it takes to be able to handle it and to deal with it the best of men face all kinds of pressure and i read from first corinthians around the second corinthians chapter four verse seven and eight in the new king james version of the bible second corinthians chapter four verse seven and eight he said but we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of god and not of us we are hard-pressed see we are hard-pressed on every side yet not crushed we are perplexed but not in despair we are hard-pressed that's paused but there's another translation that i love in terms of the way it puts it and that's called the tpt the passion translation he says we are like common clear jars that carry this glorious treasure within so that this immeasurable power will be seen as gods not ours though we experience every kind of pressure we are not crushed at times we don't know what to do but quitting is not an option praise the lord we experience all kinds of pressure but we are not crushed so something inside is strong that made paul to say this we've gone through all kinds of things ups and downs battles all kinds of issues people beating him up everything he's gone through but he's not crushed because there is something that has been deposited inside that helps him to handle life's pressures if you don't face pressure in life you are probably not living everybody goes straight but how do some people come on top of it and go through life as if they are going through nothing why are some people seemingly looking well put together not scattered not messed up and yet they are still going through pressure because like the songwriter says something in size no no not in that sense i know this one is stronger than whatever they would say hallelujah and so i want to approach this from the tripartite nature of man that is the spirit the soul and the body because strength has to be in all those realms for you to be able to withstand the pressures of life for you to be able to know how to handle it when things don't come across or don't go the way you have always wanted it's pleasure when people are opposed to you it's pleasure financial pressure comes relational pressure also comes and it comes from any angle it's not from enemies alone can come from family can come from friends it can come from church praise the lord but you must have what it takes to be able to handle it and some pressure is good i will talk about that later in conclusion some pleasure is good to help you become who you are supposed to be in life hallelujah let's look at the spirit aspect what do we need to make our spirit be strong the scriptures have given us so much i can just keep listening i mean maybe three things for now the word prayer high on sharpening iron deep calling onto deep having good association and relationship with the brethren the bible says in jude chapter 1 verse 2 i mean verse 20 jude 1 20 it says but ye beloved in the king james version building up yourselves on your most holy faith praying in the holy ghost building up yourselves on your most holy faith why do i need to build up myself because the journey and the things you face in life require strength within in the spirit man in the inner man you need it be strengthened by his spirit in ephesians he says in your inner mind that inner man is your spirit man to be strengthened by the spirit so sometimes uh you know i mean please understand i know some people may say oh does this mean uh praying in tongues only i mean praying in the holy ghost can mean all prayers that are ordered by the holy ghost but when we pray in tongues you are helping yourself better in life because you don't even know what to pray for and when he says here he says beloved build up yourselves on your most holy faith praying in the holy ghost it doesn't mean that there is a prayer point so sometimes you are just praying mahatakaya bakarta you don't know somebody may ask you what are you going i'm going through nothing but i'm praying building up myself on my most holy faith hallelujah god has given us that resource to use to better our lives to go higher and deeper so that whatever faces us we can undulate praise the lord in hebrews chapter 12 verse 2 to 3 hebrews 12 2 3 and i'm going to read this from that tpt translation of the bible which is the passion translation i know they don't have it up there but i just feel i need to connect with the usage of that word pressure in the modern tongue he says we look away from the natural realm you see that's very important you have to look away from the natural realm while we look not at the things that i've seen you know that's the uh king james but he says we will look away from the natural realm because if you're going to build up your spirit you have to learn to look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation unto jesus who birth faith within us and will lead us forward into faith's perfection his example is this because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you will be his he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation and now she's exalted at the right hand of the throne of god then this is not where we're going so consider carefully how jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who oppose their own souls so that you won't become worn down and cave in under life's pressures so that you won't be worn down and caving on the lives pressure hallelujah oh they've got diversion there so you won't be worn down and caving on their lives pressure praise the lord you have to look away from the natural realm and begin to build up your spirit man and look unto jesus who you cannot physically see but in your spirit you are seeing what he went through you are saying how he handled it and it says consider carefully how jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who oppose their own souls so that you won't become now i tell people that there's only one person now please we have mentors that we need to look up to there's only one person that you need to become like and that's jesus there's only one person paul even said to them be imitators of me as i am of what christ jesus if jesus is not there if the jesus is not there don't imitate anything that is not jesus hallelujah look away build up your spirit man because if you faint in the day of adversity your strength is small strength of where strength of the inner man strength of the inner man and that's why it's not about how you look on the surface it's what is inside of you we are living in a world that is full of pressure pressure all around left and right to travel is pleasure and we don't know how long that is going to be sustained people are caving in becoming very anxious and uh getting to the point that christians are even finding themselves very developing what they call anxiety neurosis and some crossing that neurosis even into psychosis because of pressure but god has given us what it takes to build the inner man looking away from the natural realm into the spirit realm in some uh in proverbs 24 10 in the tpt translation it says if you faint when under pressure that's the way the tpt puts it if you faint when under pressure you have need of courage courage world courage in your inner person in psalms 119 verse 143 this is now the new living translation psalm 119 verse 143 he says as pressure and stress bear down on me i find joy in your commands so what is saying that it is the word of god that is helping him to deal with the word treasure the word of god that dwells in your inner person the bible says you should let the word of god dwell in you what richly in all wisdom we don't study the word just for us to be able to buy something there or get something there no the word of god must become flesh in us because in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god the more of god's word that you get into you the more you become like god have you ever thought that anything could pleasure god is god under pressure he's looking at the old world and seeing all the nonsense that's going on he's hey what no no he's in control hallelujah praise the lord through prayer through the word you are building up your spirit man and then you are associating with people who are also thinking along those lines whose desire and pursuit is god and nothing else so iron is sharpening iron deep is and you have to reach forth into the inner person to stand against whatever is opposing you i see you move forward tonight in the name of jesus then we also need to build the soul now this is where the problem sometimes is the soul of man the soul is a realm of self-consciousness where you have your will your intellect you have your mind you have your emotions and a lot of the pressure is around there the pressure of what will people say all kinds of things going into your mind hence the scripture telling us in proverbs 4 23 he says guard your heart with all diligence for out of it comes the issues of life the pastor has been going through a lot of things on wednesday about get out of my mind guard your heart with all diligence diligence means effort you're going to have to do it and the gates into your mind are things you see things you hear things that you watch you know you know there are some things i don't watch anymore i'm not listening for coronavirus news i'm not yeah the medical doctor but i don't i'm not listening i don't want to hear i'm not listening if anything that's terrible any film anything that looks like i don't i'm not ready to fill my heart with junk guard it for out of it comes the issues of what life are you with me in the tpt translation which i said i will use a lot of that today proverbs 4 23 reads so above all guard the affections of your heart for they affect all that you are pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being for from their floors the wellspring of life hallelujah their flaws the wellspring of life pressure in your emotions because of something you heard something you saw you must know how to guard the inner person and some of us we put ourselves under unnecessary pressure nobody has put us on that the way we analyze things leads you to a place of paralysis you are so analytical that every flight that's passing by hey there's something here you always you there's no there's something to something you're always terrified with every news you think the worst of life guard your heart with all diligence for out of it comes the issues of life and paul also wrote to us in romans chapter 12 verse 2 he says don't be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god don't be conformed to this world don't think the way the world is thinking don't put unnecessary fear on yourself don't yoke yourself find christians now these who are not in their thinking inseparable they are not inseparable from the world system they've merged them they don't walk by faith anymore they walk only by side the sight is more real to them than the realm of the spirit don't be conformed to this world but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god not because you are not challenged about what is going on in the world system not because you just don't have a clue or understand that some things are out there you know no it is because you take it to another perspective you always see the cup half full rather than half empty you always see possibilities so you don't flog yourself unnecessarily even for mistakes that you may have made you just see that there's going to be a way out i know that all things work together for good to them that love god to them who are called according to his purpose hallelujah a lot of times this is where the problem is people not able to deal with their emotions not able to see things through the eyes of god everything is colored from the perspective that they are so when you put on the green glass a green spectacle everything is green so there has to be a lot of change in my inner person so when my spirit is strong listen to this what my spirit then begins to do is that it begins to deal with my soul because the soul and the body they are the realm of the flesh when my spirit is strong and i've empowered it with the word of god with prayer with consistent fellowship with always looking beyond the realm of this earth somehow i have strengthened my spirit because let me tell you whatever you strengthen is what takes ascendancy over the others we're talking about being a tripartite being three members spirit soul and body if you strengthen your spirit it will rule over every other thing if you strengthen your soul you will be a soulish christian that only sees this and then they are talking and it's because it's also the realm of intellect the person sounds intellectual but they are not of god you you you build up because what feeds the soul is your eyes everything what you read what you hear what you see what touches you all the five senses that's what feeds your soul and that's why you have to be careful what you expose yourself to on a consistent basis not because your soul will not come in contact with some things out there but you have to be careful how you guard your heart and you do it with all diligence because out of it comes the issues of life we all go through everything that is out there in the world system why are some people able to stand strong and still be focused always rejoicing always blessing the name of the lord because they have learned to develop their spirit man in fact they see themselves as people not of this realm that they belong to another kingdom so when he's saying that that you may prove in romans chapter 12 verse 2 what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of who god the owner of the kingdom that we belong to not prove to you or any human being but to prove to god that i belong to you and i know different hallelujah then let's go to the body we don't have all the time so i'm going to just quickly begin to round up i mean it's simple when it comes to your body all you and this one sounds funny see how many know that the body needs exercise and people who exercise are able to withstand pressure better on the physical level look at your brother and sister we're here i hope you know that praise god the bible says it first timothy chapter 6 4 verse 8 he said for bodily exercise profited what little and that little you need it look at the person sitting next to tell them you need that little because if it profits little take that little praise the lord hallelujah having but godliness is what profitable untoward all things first timothy for it and that's the one we dealt with when we were talking about the spirit godliness is profitable what onto all things having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come so on the physical level they say people will exercise can withstand sometimes some of the pressures of life better because their lungs their oxygen means flowing well the muscle everything is intact and together but also there are other pleasures that come in the world pleasures from family i mean from friends yes pleasure to do the wrong thing for young people and even adults it's pleasure and that's why first thessalonians chapter 5 verse 22 he says flee avoid every appearance of what evil i read that from the tpt avoid every appearance of evil because evil will put pressure on you so that you do the wrong thing why did joseph run he took his body out of the place of pressure run from this woman who was already putting pressure on him to do the wrong thing he wasn't waiting there he knew when this is the time to flee he wasn't going to stay there and be speaking in tongues he moved away from pressure i'm talking about handling the pressures of life because some of the pressures some of us are under our pressures to see pressure to do the wrong thing and you cannot blame anybody because you have two legs to run two legs to run i've had some nonsense talk with some people will say oh they were cutting and they were failing to say i did all kinds who else were together the door just shot the doors go and open it and your fourth flimsy excuse we were together and somehow the door shut as if you don't have the hands to go and unshut the door let me tell you every man will give account of how they've lived their lives at the judgment seat of christ you are born again but you will give account at the judgment seat of christ it's a judgment seat for believers not the white throne judgment which is for unbelievers judgment seat of christ we are not here to play games we have not been called to be part of his body to play games hallelujah you know proverbs chapter 1 verse 10 still in the tpt translation proverbs 1 10. he says when peer pressure compels you to go with the crowd and sinners invite you to join in you must simply say no peer pressure and it affects adults too peer pressure it could be ministry it could be in other areas business peer pressure and you can be provoked by others to do the right thing you can through what other people do learn a few things so you can go and run things and and move with a vision yourself but when it becomes a negative peer pressure he said when peer pressure compels you to go with the crowd and sinners invite you to join in you must simply say well no i i get to a point where i think in my spirit that apart from yeses to god any day the amount of knows you are able to say in life in relation to the yes is what will make you successful because in a world of many choices there's a call of many voices and it's only one voice you need to listen to and that's god so you may have to say no more times than yes for you to be
