very soulful very musical it felt really good felt interesting um the drums hit the drums swung there's a ton of velocity in them there's a ton of movement like i liked your mix it felt very unique it don't feel like nothing that i mix in here but i liked it i wouldn't particularly tell you you needed more bass or you needed more clarity anywhere so honestly works for me if it works for you where the [ __ ] was the sample though and answer it really quickly or you're going to quickly move back a couple spots because you started in first place and i'm happy to leave you in first place but where sample and you instantly heard how to make it interesting how to make it cool even though it was like the jankiest worst sounding horn ever that's the talent in sample flipping in a lot of ways like that's one of the coolest things is you hear something that's kind of out doesn't really work isn't necessarily that musical or something's [ __ ] up about it and you turn it into something that feels good in two seconds that's what we're really looking for when we talk about flipping samples or what really is when you impress yourself but the sound quality versus caden is is the biggest thing right now caden we all kind of had to guess where the sample was in a sense that's a demotion for this battle but overall cadence [ __ ] was just really hot so if we're just talking about what works and that's the most important thing we can make little challenges for each other all day but kaden stuck to the rules cadence [ __ ] was really hot it sounded really really good tyler i'll tell you this if you had stacked those drums a little bit or just put something on those drums and made them louder you'd be first place no sweat but my only the only thing is the drums for me and how just the general i mean maybe it doesn't matter because the it's vibrators it's hard to say this is what we want though this is what we want and that is so creative [Music] i feel like tyler's idea is better production quality is there the creativity is there the patterns is there the swing is there the feel is there like that's really really really impressive to me right now we got finesto first place good here's how i feel about that beat shows you what some chords can do this person again heard that awful sounding trumpet sample and could see this like giant mountain in front of them this huge triumphant like they you could you could turn those same horns into like some wheezy sounding [ __ ] if you flip them the right way they built this whole world around the sample that was super impressive i honestly think those drum sounds and those patterns are a little bit like we will rock you for me not not literally but just it's kind of like epic and like arena vibe like that it's kind of like an imagine dragon's bounce to it but in some rooms that could work like if you're in like a a kanye ass beyonce jay-z type situation where you trying to make something that really is for an anthem for a stadium something that's that gigantic this is super cool in those rooms like this is something that would be super impressive so i'm not knocking it i do think in here everybody wants to hear you do like the coolest [ __ ] 808 pattern this and that blah blah blah and when i say imagine dragons like y'all can take that derogatory if you want but who sells more records than them that you listen to okay got you so if you if you're trying to make money with your music and you're trying to make huge things that make go diamond and sell tens of millions of records like that's the kind of patterns those are the kinds of things but i don't know someone said frank ocean i think we all know frank is the goat but do you think frank ocean is outselling imagine dragons you gotta go look you any type of like of my personal opinion or advice i'm just telling you that like i think exactly how this is this could work i think you could flip this how you did it another way and it would sounds not the drum sounds i like a lot of the other sounds in the beat i just think even your pattern was cool it's just like there there could be some work to tighten up the rhythm section if that
