in every generation there have been revivals massive moves of the spirit that changed the course of history in every revival there were believers like you who chose to answer the call to become the one their generation discover your call to be the one generation we're about to take you face to face with history hey everybody welcome to revival radio TV I'm your host gene Bailey and boy you are in for a treat today I got to my favorite people here that you see every week right here on the network Kelly Copeland Geryon Saval welcome lad you're here you know you have a show that started and I've caught bits and pieces of several of them tell me what you like working together that's fun I don't even like her oh it's been awesome we grown up together I mean 50 year friendship and we know each other pretty well and we're very different and we're very much alike so it works very well we've had fun and how's the show doing how's the new show it's going great are you kidding response yes it's amazing what is it that you're hearing just people love the fact that like we're doing with you here today we're just real and telling you you know we've been through some junk and we've seen that on the other side of it I think people relate to that but the one that touched me the most is I know that we're gonna have Copeland Sibel followers those are our majority but I got an email from a man and again women is mainly our demographic but what men can watch but I got an email from a man and he said I'm on my lunch hour and I was flipping channels and he said that blonde girl he didn't even know I'm a Savelle you know he said the blonde girl was talking and he said she was telling her story and it made me realize that God still has you know cares about me and that through all my mistakes that he still can use me and that touched me so much that's who I want to reach with this show is the person sitting out there that just feels like I've messed up so much you know God and we're in our 50s you know that however old you are that God still has a plan for your life no matter how far you've gotten away or how bad you've messed up that's what touches my heart when I get those emails thing right people reaching out so how did this whole show idea come up well Kelly was going through her thing in Hawaii last thing and in Hawaii more things and so she got enough things so she asked a few of her friends to go to Hawaii with her and we loved the beach I mean we're beach girls and so it's really started their birth there because we whirling my feeling took place then the next summer I think it was we went to Florida or the summer of two years later we went to Florida another Beach trip and I've always wanted to have a talk show I mean that was always a desire but to do it with the girl who I mean she's known me longer than anybody except my parents you know right and to do it with her and also the legacy of it to continue the Copeland's Savelle heritage is such an honor but to have it in a relaxed beach house setting and that's just Girl Talk every yeah just be free it's been awesome yeah yeah that's good so what's the future what do you see happening next for you guys well I set a goal for this show on my bed I wrote out this show and so I had a dream of it I knew what I wanted this set to look like and then I put legs to my faith and I started hiring the team and creating and you know designing the set and getting it started right but it takes money it doesn't keep going and so you know I'm like okay Jesus I've done it now now you've got it make it happen make it happen you know so I mean I could I would love to see Kelly and I out traveling together and you know doing not just women events but the killing and Jerry show out on the road sure I think that I can see that happen yeah that's a cool idea you can let man come yeah well okay you know we like to dive into history as you can tell on the set in the program and see what happened in the stories behind the scene so obviously we want to know everybody watching wants to know what's it like growing up Copeland and what's it like growing up Seville well first of all I heard to me this morning like wow you're a historical figure now welcome welcome you're a legend circle figure yeah so what you like it's it's been I think both of our dads I'll just say both of our dads there's so much there have so much integrity there you go that you know when I was a kid and you know I wanted this or that or the other and I'm looking back I know they didn't have money to do some of the things I wanted to do but I never heard that I heard well that's a great faith project so they would get me using my faith on things and and impactfully when you practice on those non important things I remember when I had 2.2 daughters at death's door from a car wreck and then from sickness and both times I remember thinking back to specially at first time I thought Lord you gave me a horse she gave me a bicycle miraculously miraculously why would you know anything I know you give me my daughter so those things impacted the walking through things that believing God for things practicing what we preach tat home that's just how you roll I mean faith is not something you have to try to walk in it's just like breathing but because of that and knowing that the word was there then when troubles came as an adult whether it was sickness or or divorce trouble abuse those things you just know you just gonna see me through this and this is where I have to keep my eyes that's the best thing I think I have in my life yeah my dad ingrained in my sister and I that seville's aren't quitters and having done all the stand stand stand that's ingrained in me and we would jokingly say to him sometimes are we adopted because I really don't want to I want to quit right now you know he's like no your Sibel you don't quit and that's ingrained to me I mean I've been hit with some hard things in life sure but I don't quit I get back up and I keep going and I learned that from him he cares about every single thing in our lives okay so you talked about Geryon you talked about challenges what challenges what college have you had to deal with i dealt a lot with insecurity and low self-esteem a battle with rejection is a little girl i have a sister she has a show i'm BBOB into and she was the perfect sister she was the perfect daughter and then there was Jerry Jerry was always in trouble and I cannot be I can't be Terry but when I finally got to the place in my life it was Psalms 139 changed my life that I was uniquely made by God the way he made me it transformed my life that he maybe when my gifts my talents my strengths my personality and he likes me just the way I am that I could get through that low self-esteem and the rejection all that I battled with I don't deal with that anymore you know my life being so public and when I have made mistakes it's been public and I teasingly tell people you can google it if you want to but you know it's way down at the bottom now because I'm doing a lot of more good stuff but I think that's it is just the shame of the public mistakes but I'm so free from it that it there's not an ounce of it in me anymore you know I hold my head up high and know who I am in Christ that's my past well and you know we see there are some people you can look at him and go oh my goodness they've had a hard time you don't and you're right you know what project any of that out there yeah like oh you must have just handled and I'm not a victim I'm not a victim you know I don't play the victim and no I haven't had an easy life I did have a good life right but I made some choices on my own that were bad mistakes but Jesus by Jesus and you asked about what was going on I think that's a great example of what I I believe the Lord is doing is he's bringing to light but it's not I mean just to see the miracles that we've seen and meet the people that we've met I think you know when you're growing up you don't realize you're in the middle of something that people will talk about later that's right and so I'm even now I'm aware of the things that are happening it's very monumental but I wasn't aware but then you just you know just kept growing up even when you're having kids you know and having your own family are so self-involved that you don't realize how much God is doing all around you with everyone else and your family's right in the center of it well I think with my dad I mean I'm named after him you know that's a big big shoes make sure to fill but um I think my dad you know he's just a regular dad and he's he's a good man and most christ-like me and I've ever been around and her dad but um you know just to see who he was at home was the same person up on the stage he's a little quieter at home but just he's the integrity and the faithfulness and it's been an honor to be his daughter I mean I'm I never had issues with in a PK you know I was honored to be his daughter because um he lived what he preached so I believed everything he said and I think our parents loved us well mm-hmm I do I mean no parents perfect sure um and I think that the rigors of ministry make art made our life might be different look different maybe than somebody else's but our parents loved us and they loved as well and we had cross parenting you know she had my dad mom and I had her so you got corrected by brother Copeland so oh those piercing eyes dad but they're so full of love too I know he loves me and I know I could call him up at any time I have called him at any time and he's there for me we've talked on our show about I'm sort of putting you on the spot a little bit that's what good friends are for um but you've talked on the show about how dad looked at you and talk to you and changed her life or was it depression yeah I battled with depression and he had to and he publicly talks about that and he you know he knew I'd battled with that and he just he spoke over me in a way and he looked me in the eyes and he gave me some direction on what to do and it was just so full of love you know he just a loving father that's that's the way he comes across to me that okay so you guys say you know we talked about your dad's but people don't always talk about mom let's talk about moms what about that you know what I love about my mom is she said I've said on the broadcast before that she is the most filled with the free the spirit of anybody I know she just operates she's just operates in the free the spirit and one of the most awesome things about my mom and I'm learning this I have my own grown family my own grown kids who don't have kids and you know they're all didn't three of them are married so holidays don't look the same I used to be like what my family that we all have to be together mom and she goes Kellie everybody's needs to do it they need to do just let everybody just be free and so I had to learn that from her but now as a mom I can say y'all gonna do it you need to do so no pressures coming from this side of the right family to say you have to do this as adults you have to do that and so she was just always very good about everybody be free yeah my mother is the one that raised me I mean my dad traveled 21 days on average a month of my childhood so you know people call me Jerry Savelle daughter but I'm Jerry and Carolyn Seville's daughter she's the one that raised me and I adore my mother that she has heard my dad preach for 50 years as she sits right there and she laughs at every story and she's his biggest cheerleader and I love watching my mom watch my dad because she's so in love with him still after 52 years she is an awesome mom I mean I think she did a good job I turned out pretty good yeah I was thinking I was listening to her dad preach and he just talking about you know 2019 talking about surprises and this thought occurred to me it's when we think we know everything yeah we can't be surprised we don't position ourselves for God to surprise us and in fact we'll think that's not of God mmm you know I've been in some meeting so you've had Michael and yeah and just under Michael and Ty and you know I think me ten years ago would have been like I said I don't even that's not God or you know that's this over here but he's bringing in so many surprises to my life now so many things that he's setting me free from setting me free to do and they're all surprises but I think the thing they had to break down was my own idea and I'm not judging anybody else sure that my own idea that I pretty much knew and again it's not here it's here you think I got this Yeah right about that time you stopped really hearing from Jesus when you think you got it there's a scripture you talk about Psalms about shine the light yeah show me what's lurking yeah Psalm 19 12 yeah and I really believe that Scripture broke open thanks for bringing that up that broke open for me to see some things like I mean he's diagnosing us yeah I really feel like he's really purifying his body right now and I believe that in Matthew 13 minute talks about the the wheat coming into the barn gathering the wheat into the barn I believe that's where we are where all the people in the body of Christ are coming in no you know I've always read that scripture like he's gonna pull pluck out all the sinners right but I really have come to know that the fire of Jesus is burning the sin out of each of us not just taking Oh bye bye-bye sinner yeah but by by sin by by injustice in me by by any demonic implant that he's made I found out I had abandonment from when I was three hmm you've heard dad talk about the wreck I'm sure that's a that's famous story and the you know that we had on Halloween not when I was a little turned dad's life around yeah well trouble can make you go away what what I need to do something different and I noticed when you watch Kathryn Kuhlman re-watch you know many of these people who had great miracles happening in their life a lot of them it has a lot of humility they've come to at least older in their life of us listening to Kathryn Kuhlman and as a kid and even up till a few years ago I really didn't listen to her you know I thought she's very dramatic and didn't seem to my you know that to my taste you know what the understand everything I just never had watched her and I started watching I realized what humility she had walked in and even though she was dramatic and had a lot of flair she was all about the master she's all about Jesus and talked about Jesus and I think I'll you see that with a lot of anointing these people talk about Jesus ya know that she on a personal level went through a divorce back in a day when it was he really was the Scarlet Letter no way and then to be a woman preacher I mean there were places she went that you know she was kicked out because she can preach there she doesn't want you still think we have that problem today that people don't accept women in the pulpit and I think we don't run into it often because of where we come out of right you know we have women preachers around here but it's there I think it's there in a lot of denominations even still I don't see it because I get asked to speak and they know I'm a woman and they know I'm divorced but I know that I'm not everybody's cup of tea I know there are some people that don't want to hear from me because I am divorced in fact I saw someone I was speaking at Eagle Mountain at the Thrive and someone wrote on the comment I happened to see it who is she to talk about thriving when she's been divorced so many times and I happened to see it and I even called her something in me normally I ignore that stuff and don't respond but something wanted the Holy Spirit I responded I called her and she goes will you do what you're led to do so I replied back to the guy it was a guy and I gently told him you know that there's a Jesus that heals and restores and still has a plan for all of our lives regardless of the mistakes that's why I can talk about thriving thriving is not doing well without obstacles you don't it's not called thriving if you're not you know I mean it's you thrive you survive there's stuff going on and you're thriving even though you're surrounded and I think it's the idea and I think you know my parents your parents they preach they so preach the word they don't talk about the problems yeah I don't think we're I didn't grow up ashamed of myself or ashamed of my problems I didn't think but then when it when the Lord broke it down he showed me you do you are walking you are walking in shame you said and recognized it and with this with people with these women that revivalists and they've had trouble in their lives most people have had trouble in their not sure it just when you put a spotlight on it and I'm not belittling you know divorce but for anything that we've been through and acting like well that's no big deal that we got a divorce you know it is a big deal divorce is a big deal it happens it happens to people and it hurts and it's all day you know I could sit here and say well that's not my fault or that's not my fault or it is my fault they really didn't matter because jesus paid the price yeah no matter what right and that's the real gospel the gospel is not hey I'm perfect or she's perfect or you're perfect the gospel is Jesus made it so that's not the issue Jesus made it so it doesn't matter right and then when so when you've allowed him to repair your life really a lot of stuff gets squeezed out of you when something comes I find some trouble comes whatever it is it squeeze the stuff out that's not good when you go through it with the Lord and if you don't involve him then it's not gonna squeeze the bad stuff out but he has a way of cleaning you out as you go through something let's talk about the role of worship because I know you and I've talked just a little bit about that and I want you to share some of that because there seems to be in in America especially right now there's this resurgence to worship not just and not a big flashy light show and all that but real worship where don't matter what the stage looks like and all that what is that all about well that was the first breakdown in the breakdown I mean I broke down I mean like I said yet but his first dismantling of my former self cuz I've always loved him is never an issue and I really thought I was worshiping and I mean I was to a degree I just didn't know what real worship was so what is world worship real worship is just a love affair with him real worship is just being it doesn't matter what okay I think I would sing I'm me tell you what not real worship is that might help me express what real worship is like if you're if I'm singing and I grew up singing I did children's ministry I started singing at 13 at Full Gospel businessmen meeting with my dad I did and you know conventions and our meetings I sang here and there I did the thing on the gospel bill show one time I mean that's I've sung I did strand of pearls with old time gospel you know bluegrass but and I would be like singing and ministering to people would be my goal but a lot of times I'd be thinking about oh that was terrible you know I sang terribly or I'm not gonna hit this note I would think so technically and I began to realize over the years I thought that was worship but when I'm singing to minister to somebody that's not really worship if I'm singing and sometimes you know we would seem to you know want to prefer have the platform for a speaker you can't call that worship I guess he began to break down what I thought it was and it began to show me it's just so simple just worship Jesus and I remember when I was going into a meeting in Hawaii I was going into a woman's being I was going through a tremendous amount of trouble I was about to get a divorce although I didn't really know what was gonna happen at the time and we ended this conference and I really grew up going in after worship like worshipped is sort of an afterthought for me because we were so word focused yeah I mean the Lord told dad you don't get to know me and my presence at that way but he said if I let you see me now it will set you back years in what I want to show you so looking back I see the Lord did not let Dad know him in his more of what I call physical presence the things were experiencing now I love it so much because I've had a lot of that fire of Jesus or Whitney you just know he's there right I didn't walk in that I walked in by golly that's what it says I'm gonna know Jesus in his word and he said that and I believe him and I know it it's just as strong but if you pair them up realizing that if you talk about the glory it's just him yeah if you talk about his presence it's him and realizing how so when you worship I begin to he told me he said you don't worship you disdained worship that's like I didn't know I did they it was like I thought little of too little of so when I began to worship and I was in this meeting and it just came on me I didn't know why I wanted I had to get out there I'm gonna leave the back room where everybody's people are fellowship Minh I gotta get out there I've got a worship so he grace me with that desire and then I begin to understand that but when you worship you get everything in right order if you got something out of whack and you begin to worship he is allowed then by you to put things in right order to bring this from over here you got this thing over here you're idolizing he's gonna get it back under him whether it's ministry or family or spouse or work or money or any of it he when you're a worshiper he wants to be this he wants to beat this with us and he wants to walk so intimately with us hmm so Kelly I want you know and Geryon there's one of the questions that we get all the time on this program is they see these great men and women of God and what they did that they're a little concerned about and the reason I want you to talk about your past a little bit is that maybe I've done something so wrong I can't be used or if I could just get this right if I could just wrap up this or get past this I could be used of God so once you speak to that and then pray for the people well I think they have to realize that most of the great revivalists had some crazy thing going on in their life most of the women then I'm Kay you know maybe simple McPherson Ren Woodworth ed ER Vicki Jamison they all had difficulty with things in life and I think God can take somebody like that if they'll anybody that would give themselves to Jesus can be model used and he can work through you but I'm gonna just talk to you because pride of any sort will stop you from walking with Jesus and him allowing him to walk through you so when you fall on your face it's just a great time to get rid of pride pride is pride goes before a fall but the fall is okay does that make sense sure Falls not bad if it keeps you from a bigger fall falls not bad if it keeps you from going and going over the cliff so just don't be so uptight with your life and give it to Jesus he'll do something with it so father we just thank you that you sent us your son Jesus Lord Jesus you are such a savior so right now I just ask you to make yourself so real to every person that's watching this today make yourself so real make your love real tomb they are hungry for you Lord Jesus so pour your spirit your heart of love for them and your approval out on them Lord take their life take all of our lives and do your plan with it love people spread your word all through s Lord we belong to you now in Jesus name Amen amen okay so listen we're gonna continue discussion on women in ministry so I want you to go over to our YouTube channel if you want to join us for that as we talk about women and ministry go over there and join us would you until next time it's Jean Bailey along with Kelly Copeland and Geryon smell saying God loves you we love you and what Jesus is Lord [Music] you
