powers here in Texas battle it out the kt Tigers taking on the Northshore Mustangs or do we have a good one for you tonight alongside Craig Hobart I'm J alter now just based off these two teams history here in Texas and the rivalry they have fostered over the couple of years the atmosphere tonight this would be a must-see game but add in the number one recruit in the country running back Zach Evans a boy this is must watch you have a big back Jay with big play ability Zach Evans is quite unique in his running style six foot 200 pounds he runs upright he's kind of got a gliding motion where to see him here follow the big man through the hole always smart for a running back then he's got deceptive shiftiness watch him make this defender miss it looks like he's not even moving that hard into the end zone here once again we see the vision there's nowhere to go he's gonna bounce it outside a defender comes up he's able to see it so light on those feet able to get to the outside then we see the athleticism hurdling over the defender and sailing into the end zone and on defense to stop Evans it starts with Hunter Washington yeah they're going to try to contain this North Shore offense led by Evans and a lot of that's going to start with one of the top juniors in the nation Hunter Washington he's an outstanding cover corner very athletic they're going to need him tonight though to come up and support the run as well be Odessa Texas but here in Houston we are under way under the Thursday Night Lights not Friday a Craig he threw a mind-numbing 43 touchdowns and only two interceptions as a sophomore he returns to leave his loaded Mustangs offense impressive he decides to throw on first down after the fake to him it's a bullet [Applause] to get things started for North Shore to watch Davis off the play action he's going to step up all alone now watch a defender he doesn't wrap up Gentry picked up the first down so a fresh set of downs for Demetrius Davis back to the passes of down he goes deep to the end zone it's intercepted [Applause] see the safety comment there is a flag down we head of a numbering penalty on the offense will be declined first the feed to rot ha bounces outside lowers his shoulder plows forward one of the best teams of the country in North Shore pitch out Hoff plenty of grass in front of him turns up field across midfield the first down at a whole lot bore for rod watch the QB number 12 he's going to get out in front lead on a play don't get anybody to block but he's looking on the sideline here's Hagan decides to keep it himself right up the middle picks up a first down back into the game quickly although Davis throwing on first down picks out John Gentry a burst of speed up the sideline Kathy octoman nobody in front of him he takes it just getting out to amount of quick screen see just a missed tackle there just breaks an arm tackle then we see the speed Jake I talked earlier about Gentry being the kind of underrated weapon on this offense and we see the explosiveness there on the long run off of the quick pass see if they tried to shoot only five calm McClelland escapes the pressure delivers a deep ball looking for Patrick positon Jordan Patrick on third and 14 a gain of 47 in the backfield of picking up the Blitz he's able to move outside the pocket there really nicely thrown ball fourth and two deciding to keep the offense on the field pitch the hoff this time bouncing outside leaping to the pylon he will not get there Denver Harris and sophomore cornerback stepped up to cut off the angle this is what you do each and every weekend third and four McClellan escaping pressure delivers a strike it's caught nephew Stanley big-time grab gain of 20 to move the chains for this KT offense good job here by Stanley just creating some separation from the defender good throw put it right on the number right between the 18 to 0 see the arm strength they're throwing on the run didn't use again tritscher and all those schools after the signature of five star running back Zac he's on the sideline right now instead rod Hoff the opposing team running back breaks off a big run 35 yards largest play from scrimmage for Katie today outstanding job on the edge and the seal off Luci all that green out there once he gets to the edge and dirty pop thinking about going out of bounds not at all he turns it back into the middle of field such a physical runner ground game has been the recipe today instead of play action here the tight end Fernando Garza blown up immediately Corey flag in their poor snap didn't get it up and Cup in time the holder Carter Callens nothing he could do about it as that thing just bobbled across the turf it's third and 20 we need to get all the way to the 30-yard line Evans only got five yards well short of that first down marker this Drive bobbled snap released quickly the Jordan Patrick great turn couldn't break the tackle or else he had plenty of room in front Evans just can't find any Running Room some Running Room here a missed tackle Jordan power cuts back only couple men to beat finally dragged down all the way to the 25-yard line an impressive run of 53 yards and set up this North Shore offense a beautiful five-star Zach Evans wading through some open space like Pilar just got maybe it's here right up the middle a burst of speed touched into the end zone Zach Evans showing why is the number one player in our ESPN 301 opportunity there you just see what hit read from the middle five Lane getting him down hill yeah well even just talking to coach cave said who do you think you reminds Eric Dickerson was a name that came out it's just a running styles when I watched us immediately what came to mind and test tonight can Burton somebody's Shore High School football back under the Thursday night lines here in Houston the 3rd quarter trying to capitalize on that crown day turning the corner cutting back run ha finally taken down Tory flag the ball came out was hopped down first question doesn't matter Katy fell on it he was down though for Ron Hoff who has been unstoppable in the ground game as I said they really had their most success on the edge they did it they're getting the hop out there the hundred and fifty-eight yards averaging nearly ten yards per carry they go right back to HOF why not turns the corner bounces into the end zone will not be denied big response here by Katy to start the second half getting him out on the edge you see the ability once got it gets to the sideline stick that foot in the ground get upfield nice job change direction getting straight upfield 19 yard line the pick up the first down then Ron hop does just that inside the redzone now and Katie so it's Sherman Smith more of the pure speed back in although this time McClellan kept it himself cuts upfield stumbles to the 10 here's Carrie number 20 needing a yard stumbling forward in Ron met in the back field did not matter for the senior coming up Mexico State some earlier that's the same exact play that they scored on earlier brought gentry along in motion this time though it is not there nice job here's Jordan Patrick electric speed looking for a hole there's a flag on the field as Patrick crossed the 45 off dotting the I instead McClellan back to pass to the far sideline it's caught Steven Styles moves the change eighth in the box for North Shore here's Ron ha bouncing outside turning the corner picks up the first down he was lead blocker was quv out there making a nice block what a nice job that kind of reeling that in let's see him right there in the screen not nothing devastating nothing vicious just enough to get that extra yardage to the fourth over 200 yards now passing on third down it's caught turning upfield first down and more inside the red zone four catches for 87 yards McClellan looking for Patrick in the end zone throws it complete the lengthy rangy Patrick seemed really kind of a dangerous throw there from McClellan turned throwing back against across his body back to the middle of the field you see Denver Harrison pursuit ink on a botched snap this snap is good LASIK missed it though hooked it left and the frustration from Gary Joseph a couple few first downs now they've got the guy to do it Zack heavens the five star running back but it said a passing play huge sack in the backfield Cohen Dearman the junior got in there first [Applause] Davis pressure coming swallowed up again [Applause] Koen Deerman nowhere to go it's been a startling juxtaposition in the second half throwing on second down it's caught Steven Stiles hauls it in for a first down Bronson McClelland in the kt offense play-action here's the junior rolling out pressure coming had nobody open and Wendel Demery got him from behind McClellan needs to get it to the 16 yard line he does that and more Jordan Patrick mr. reliable for Katie his fifth reception though try and get McClellan out on the edge give him a run pass option here to missed field goal so deciding to pass on fourth down it's caught samuel done then Katie takes its first lead of the game on a fourth down strike to the senior tight end another fort down conversion leads two points here and he's he done number 87 kind of the big H back type all alone they slip him out successes of momentum going on his offense throwing on first down they pick up the first down rido kept pushing that pile all the way to the 45-yard line a gain of 20 [Applause] [Music] the footballs out a battle for it North Shore falls on it this baby defense is ron fresher call second half long full hapten you've got to strip it john villa-lobos it's a friendly roll passing on third downs thought they'd keep it with the ground game it's taut Jordan Patrick trying to use that breakaway speed it doesn't matter tackled at the 15 but now Katie can run this clock down a bold 53 yard pass to seal it for the Katie Tigers there's a guy who's not pressing on his Hall of Fame laurels right there third down dialing up the pass then Ron Hoff is tonight's Geico player of the game 219 yards more than 6 yards of carry that sealed this game for got
