new Sun [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hello everyone welcome back to a new travel blog here on my YouTube channel we just flew from Manila to Norway checked into our hotel here at Karl Johan a very nice hotel we're going to be staying here for 10 days and while we're doing all this because holy [ __ ] I'm getting married to this girl and I'm very excited. we are very excited and we've been planning this trip here for so long there's so many small details that goes into planning a wedding that I had no idea about and this is going to be our civil wedding here in Norway we're gonna celebrate it with my side of the family plus Ave's mom yes that we brought along with us all the way from the Philippines for first time in Europe yeah we're staying for 10 days the wedding is in three days two more days two more days only holy [ __ ] I am going to be a Misses Solhaugen. yeah she's gonna be a Mrs Solhaugen and I'm gonna be a Mr Solhaugen um... Your Still Mr Solhaugen? You will be a married man. [Music] and we're very excited about this but uh I think in this first video we're just going to show you a little bit all the preparation that leads up to the big day uh showing Ave's mom around Oslo it's so many things happening in our lives right now man it's like [ __ ] I'm getting married and this is crazy so welcome to the video uh it's gonna be a little lifestyle video we'll be showing you everything and what it's like to have a wedding here in Oslo Norway come along! This is where Ave's mom's room is Moma Liv is lending us some winter clothes and the girls been working on some gifts from the Philippines to all the guests wow which we will show you guys whoa guys helping my mom we're baking a waffle for your mom now I just never knew this but this place is has such a good breakfast buffet it's what I love about this hotel and it's actually a light green once it's ready [Music] yeah foreign [Music] this is like living my memory or my culture through you guys yeah it's good now we're showing you how to eat and then she also tried this cheese the brown Norwegian cheese couple minutes ago and she liked it and it's actually really good on top of the waffle too like that's the trick that we do in here this is my breakfast nothing like a Norwegian my breakfast to start the morning yeah first Norwegian breakfast yeah Jake so we had a large variety of bread Norwegian Cuisine is full of bread and we had waffles and but the girls were able to find some things that you know they could eat as well not we don't have rice in Norway but it looks like you still got full yeah that's great she comes come in are you bringing your teeth yeah so because it cannot be too cold in yeah how do you feel about your mom being I'm so happy I'm so happy for her but of course I know her struggle it's her first long-haul flight so I make sure that you know she doesn't do anything drastic or like things on her first day because the jet lag is uh it's quite tough yeah you know for us we're used to it but still we feel it but for her it's extra yeah yeah so she woke up at 2 A.M 2 30 a.m exactly so she might get a little nap now yeah but we got productive because I messaged her good thing I messaged her if she's awake and we managed to do I think 2024 of the souvenirs yes foreign it's really cold so this is Mama loving it's first time in Norwegian streets yeah totally dressed up and we have the Christmas Market right outside our hotel here in Norway we have this very big Christmas Market in the central of town it's called Christmas Wonderland no better place to get in the mood than here you can shop everything that you need anything from like hot warm rolling watts and this is very famous monthly very good stuff look at that oh we have waffles anything you want right here I'm loving it it's already taking photos yeah this is a real Christmas tree with a plastic Christmas tree in the Philippines but it can last for four months yeah that's true all right [Music] I was just explaining to them that what we're having now is called Greg and in Norwegian this also comes with alcohol which is very normal with wine or with a shot of vodka but right now we are just having it without anything made of rosins and what's that dark powder raisins and the dark Cinema yeah guys we have now walked all the way down to the port of Oslo called akirbriggan and this is the building we're getting married in in just a couple of days and we're taking of his mom for like a sightseeing and it's quite crazy it gets a lot colder when you approach the Fjord like we're doing right now but it's just cool you know to show off his mom around what do you think so far [Music] I'm so happy for you I'm hot inside that's great okay this is where we're gonna have lunch today Olivia so cold please go in [Music] life is a Winding Road no telling where it goes driving through days and nights it's lunch time and I haven't had a beer in Norway for three months so draft Berry Norway man nothing beats it photo time of the girls mm-hmm it's so freaking cold man I don't understand how I managed to be a Norwegian for 21 years of my life before I moved abroad I've been living abroad since I was 21. so that means I've had seven eight years living outside of Norway so I'm halfway to have lived half of my life outside of Norway but I'm always surprised about how cold it is how much clothing you need to be in this country now we're going to try to take the tram to try to save some time and also it's warmer on the tram whenever you can in Oslo take the public transport save yourself from this unbearable cold biting feeling that's my tip for you if you've come to Norway okay let's go into the standard storm shopping mall biggest department store in Norway yeah it's now evening and we are about to have the two mothers meet for the first time Mama loving it and my mom Mama live in it her new name pretty excited I mean uh isn't that a very special moment when both mothers meet we have taken the subway from the Centrum of Oslo up to Ulan where my mom lives we're almost there it's a little uphill we're wearing thick clothing so uh yeah I'm excited very excited for this meeting we're staying warm staying warm hello [Music] smelling nice [Music] thank you [Music] oh my god wow you brought a gift [Music] what is this made of so it's a shell so it's a shell that is it can only be found in the Philippines and Indonesia yes yes so it's a like a new chair Darius wow watch TV [Music] that's nice yeah very nice good to be home again [Music] good morning everyone another day here in Oslo this morning Ava had a little makeup course with me as you guys can see fresh skin so that's because tonight we're not gonna be able to spend the night with each other because we can't see each other the whole duration of uh 23rd tomorrow until we walk to uh the town hall where we're having our wedding so that means this was the last day she could kind of practice and it'll help me practice my makeup so that's the first time I'm wearing makeup and I'm like yeah it's my wedding so I'm you know might want to look good you might listen to my voice I'm already getting a little bit um like itchy throats that's normal when you come to Norway during this time it's a gray weather but we're still gonna push through with our plants today I'm gonna take Ava's mom up to Holman colon which is this very famous ski jump on top of the hill in the hills of Oslo and then we're also gonna have lunch there at this very nice place called Radisson Park in blue Resort it's very recently been refurbished so the whole hotel is brand new and I've heard that the lunch there is supposedly very very nice and from there we can have a view of the city and we need to figure out some bouquet things um we need a bouquet for the bride so come along yet another day with exciting Adventures watch Marvel Vlogs don't skip the ads especially from Illinois yes yeah [Music] the day has come guys we are now at the flower shop picking out what we need since the wedding is tomorrow we can only use what they have in the store I think it's nice the owner here is very good at what she's doing picking out the right things we need and we also got some table decorations uh buy flowers once a year so I'm not really good at this luckily Ava and her mom has a little bit more experience so definitely bring the bride if you're gonna do this okay what's happening now oh so we're going to a home in college it reminds me of our uh for I think it's a date before we even dated I didn't even know it was a date yeah and this time we're bringing your mom and we got the window seat yes just like yeah yeah because on the way up you can see the entire city from here [Music] all right we have now taken the subway all the way up to Holman if you're coming to Oslo you definitely need to go here you can see the giant facility and you can also witness history of skiing we have a ski museum here it's much colder up here than it is down in the city because it's uh much more elevated but there's some really nice restaurants here which I can't wait to take Ava and my mother-in-law oh mother-in-law this is my last day as a single man and you're taking me to the place where you first you know yeah dated me that I didn't even think it wasn't the date it was a no that's when I discovered your beauty wow so we made it to the sports arena of Holman cone where the ski jumping Camp competitions are held it's been in Olympic Games very famous place usually every country would compete and Finland Norway and Germany usually the best and whoever can jump the longest down this slope will win the competition it's quite spectacular I wish we could have watched a live competition today but uh if you're coming to Norway consider visiting this place very excited that the Filipinos are watching and um we just discussed we don't think Philippines have a ski jumper yet yeah one of the [Music] I don't but you have to ask the mom [Laughter] ENT okay look at that view huh beautiful incredible but you know not fancy to walk that much yeah it's a little bit of a walk but look at the view guys and this is the Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel newly renovated and the restaurant is in there yeah yay the ladies are seated good job Martin yeah yeah I'm wearing your five stars now thank you so this is probably from the producer Shawn Michael 2001 2001. let's see if you enjoyed that one foreign [Music] okay guys I'm very impressed about this new place and we were very lucky because we got the corner table with the view and the windows here are so large as you can see all the way down to the Austell Fjord and uh what's big here on the menu are waffles you can have waffles made with bear waffle made with cheese spices topped with different ingredients so that is really cool I've never been to a place that does that so I'm gonna be giving you a little bit of a review into what this is like we also have one of our favorite white wines Chablis from 2001 2001. that's a shout out to my mom for helping me discover that us yeah it's always like this cheers mama has soda cheers [Music] happy that you're here mama I'm happy to be here elsewhere wonderful food has been served I have never seen anything like this in my 28 year Norwegian citizenship this is a waffle it looks like a taco with spinach and a lot of cool ingredients can't wait to wait to taste it for the chicken salad they use waffles as their croutons that's very interesting have a look at that dish looks good yum we have been able to taste it now the spinach combined with the mustard is really really good and so is this Crispy Waffle version they have my mind is blown it's like a toast it doesn't look like a waffle no no I'm looking at it yeah yeah this is very cool for me very cool to see yeah oh no it's the moment guys Ava is moving over to her mom's apartment for tonight so this will be the last time I see her before she boom walks into the room wow I love you so much special moment okay see you in less than 12 hours I don't think we should kiss because I think that's bad good yeah tomorrow save wow okay love you see you tomorrow then wow yeah exciting sleep well bye-bye tomorrow is the big day all the boys are coming over at 10 A.M we're going to be switching rooms to the suite super excited for that so many things happening but guys I'm dying I'm like I'm tired I'm jet lying my nose is uh you know after uh the climate I need a proper night's sleep I need a shower I need a pack and then tomorrow is the big day probably one of the biggest days of my life yeah it's time to get some sleep see you tomorrow yeah 7am today is the day wow holy [ __ ] all right making myself a coffee doing my hair and then I'm heading to breakfast okay guys I'm feeling a lot better now it's a little bit later throughout the day just had breakfast and it's 8 30 a.m one and a half hour until all the boys come to the suite that I've just checked into beautiful sweet this is one of my favorite sweets here in Oslo pretty much due to the view and the location of the hotel but also the fact that you have a giant table so you can like have the boys over or yeah stuff like that so yeah here's it here's our suite that we're staying at for our wedding in Oslo this is the room um TV here as well and then you have this large dining room with this very Norwegian old school architecture but it's been renovated and looks beautiful and then probably the most impressive thing is this view that you have of the parliament of also right there where all the decisions are made and you have this private balcony so this is not a normal view so I think that's kind of the icing of the cake of this sweet and then over here it's also the bathroom let me show it to you so that's the entrance right here and then you have the bathroom um and I think yeah what's special about this room is that it also has a hot tub which is really nice so that's it I will start getting ready I have to do one last thing before I leave that is to go and get the flower bouquet from Master green the flower shop that we used earlier in this video so that's going to be the bridal bouquet and also my flower that I'm gonna have on the chest here excited it's the first time I've spent 400 freaking dollars on different flowers God yeah wedding is expensive if you're if you're getting married just expect to blow your budget it's just all these small things that you have to do I'm very happy we have a supportive family a supportive community Through patreon we've been getting amazing support know yeah so for the girls watching at home uh contestant number one number two this is amazing excited excited man oh I have a less than an hour and before I'm a married man my hand is tight so we're gonna go in there now and try to find the room where we're gonna get married honestly I have no idea this is a little Adventure in its own it's it's raining so we have to wear uh umbrellas not to get the hair wet all right let's go oh wow it's a morning what are your thoughts about the wedding place it's very beautiful it's it's like a civil wedding so it's not in a church but this place is it's full of History here in Norway it's very beautiful so you guys can see very uh almost like industrial paintings on the walls it explains the history of Norway how we were able to go from a fishing Nation to oil and to be a good socialistic Society okay I'm gonna try to figure out now is how I can hide from Ava because we don't want to see each other until it's actually the day so I think we and now we're gonna go over to the restaurant yeah have some good food yeah let's go foreign husband and wife we are going to celebrate here at the only Filipino restaurant here in Norway and this is uh something that means a lot to other and of course me now too seeing my whole family here so we divide it into two tables and me and our are all the way up there and then over here at the bar and for some of my Norwegian family this is going to be the first time they're experiencing Filipino cuisine so hopefully they like it wow this is so shushal actually the party with fermented thank you it's time to eat the starters [Music] the service is really good here now yes you're Filipino if we're in Oslo I want to taste of a little bit of Philippines so it's open for the public too yes yes for your main dish on your wedding day you're having of course with rice it's not it's not a Filipino meal if there's no rice I'm having the chicken in a salt with rice as well yes hi hi I'm Kim I'm Martin's best man and when Martin asked me to be his best man I felt honored and I had to say yes uh I know Martin for 14 maybe 15 years now and uh when he asked me to talk about today about what a great guy he is so I can honestly say that he is handsome brilliant funny sure huh what did I can't understand your writing here what's the last word [Music] anyways since we first met I've seen a transformation from a crazy Jibber boy with huge baggy clothes to a classy traveler and a really hard-working guy but still crazy though yeah he has a brain with visions I only could have dreamed of having so it's a pleasure to speak on this important location I have a bunch of memories with Martin but I think the best of them is from the last six years we started the travel concept for the travel boys I would say the rest is history yes forever grateful for stepping on that plane uh to visit you in Hawaii back in 2017. told me a whole new world of living and as I said I'm truly grateful for it thank you by doing all of these travels around the world a very lovely Filipino girl came slowly sliding into your life little did you know that this girl would be your wife one day I'm so happy that you guys found each other you guys make a great team for everything your guys are doing together right now and with Ava by your side I know you're in good hands with all the love and cooking she is making for you yeah Ava I would like to take this opportunity to say how beautiful you look today as always and uh Martin yeah you could have scored a little harder behind years but a good effort while doing my research about a best man speech I came across some important information about marriage and I would like to pass it on to both of you the other would you please place your hand on the table and Martin would you please uh place your hand on top of almost half um so I'm told that this is the last time you'll have the upper hand [Laughter] [Music] you know on behalf of the boys and me I would like to thank Martin and Alvin for asking us to be a part of their big day I know both of you put a lot of hard work and effort into getting this day everything ready for today I to me born on the hottest day of July in 1994. and a full of energy just has the new day or 22nd of July uh according the moment you were born I was sold who could love anyone like I loved you it was not only me that liked you life has shown that you had something that attracts people to you the good and sometimes unfortunately not also not only the good you have a very energetic person as we have heard you were very energetic as a kid from birth you hated to lay on your back so your father had to make arrangements so you could sit even when you were two weeks old so you wanted to be a part of the world already from the start and see what happened around you you demanded it actually and grandmother certainly remembered the first time time you came to visit you were crying from the airport to sunina we had to stop after 20 minutes to buy something to see if you could quickly required as a child you love to make things either physical masterpieces or small Broadway shows together with your sister hinder and if you remember the neighbor only you made a lot of shows for us to see would you love to be the director and the girls followed on he also like to sleep over at friends and family a lot and I never forget my fear when you're at 15 years old were allowed to travel with some older friends to Austria but you had to travel home alone through Europe by train thank God for our proposed so we could talk when you walked in the different train stations trying to to get back to Norway Mom it's no stress you said this was the beginning of what was to come through skiing you discovered film and photo on the world oh no the childhood Broadway pieces was exchanged with more or the less dangerous Urban scheme with or without snow captured on film one thing took the other years ran by and suddenly you sat on the airplane to Hawaii there you discovered your way in life something opened up your mind and the will to learn and to use the Clear TV sites were hit by the possibilities of social media who could imagine it would lead you to the love of your life So. My Fantastic Son. I love you more than anything on earth. I admire your willingness to keep going. Your sense of adventure and your independence. You are exactly what I was hoping for! Even though your dad says I wanted a boy in a sailors uniform. [Laughter] It has always been easy to be your mom. You are very caring and helping. I wish you all luck ahead. Remember the following.
