hi everyone and this is part two of the garden tour so now we are going to go ahead and show you the rest of the garden um there's a lot that we haven't showed since we arrived here i think we probably just showed this little area here which is is the garage area i think we showed it um early spring when we were showing the first uh what is the forsythia and and um the quince the double take peach quince so this is what we have right now i wanted to go ahead and start in this area is the garage vampires can show embraces behind the camera um this is the crazy mess right now we still have some plantings to do some things i need to get rid of um and i really want to have fun and work in this area once we get everything else planted whatever i need to do with it and i i want to come over here and you know finish off some container gardening with the roses we do have so before we keep going with the tour i wanted to go ahead and show you a little bit of the view back there this is behind of the house and i just love it we love it back there we love to go ahead and go on little walks back there with the kiddos and and um listen to all the birds and just so much fun so sometimes we get asked if we have what the deer come over here we there are deer back there but they don't ever come over here so nope not at all i hope i don't jinx us but since we've been here they haven't been around okay so like i was saying this is the forsythia and i'm not sure yet it's stained for cynthia stain i have not trimmed it back i didn't do anything to it i wanted to be big for next year to give me more bloom so i can take indoor sequins the same thing didn't do anything to it didn't touch it i just want to make sure to see more blooms so i can force um you know i can force it next year indoors and have more to bring indoors to the blooms so for now they're there i'm gonna find a way i don't know somewhere in our tiny little garden to you know we'll figure it out but look who's here this is rhodal this is rodale one of the first uh one of the roses that we added this year um in spring that we potted up and this is right now i don't even want to say favorite but i'm leaning towards that side because of how much it is doing in just one um i mean i'm sorry in a couple of a couple of um of months i'm all focused right now because i'm watching our kiddos over there and we have a new puppy so i'm just keeping my eyes on them so sorry about that guys but yeah it it's been doing amazing and i can't wait for us to have a little bit of a roast chat about rodol it's it's doing really really great and it's becoming a a favorite i think you know i was telling ambrose we should have brought this rose way sooner to our home so as you can see we have two um these evergreens right here are called tom thumbs if you can see them because there's so much around right now we brought those with us um from north carolina they were the first ever greens i think ever is that yeah that we ever got for our homes yeah they were they were right and we had them on the sides of of the other garage and i love them so much i don't want to get rid of them and i hope that one day you know when we get to our forever home we're able to go ahead and plant them there somewhere in that yeah those those have doubled in size since we got them they're gorgeous and i i love how you don't um we haven't done anything to them you don't have to um shape them or do anything you can if you want to but i we haven't touched them it's beautiful when it's time to cut back the my ivy i let my iv go crazy around here and then i come and take cut cuttings and i go ahead and plant it in other areas in in containers for in the garden so like i said i have a lot of other stuff here but this is um james l austin my goodness and it just i wish we would have shown it to you earlier we will get into more detail a bit about these roses in other videos but right now i i'm just like so blown away with the new roses that we went ahead and added to the garden um they've really been doing amazing i'm i'm just ambrose too he's just so blown away by how great they are doing all of the roses that we added this year the new ones um what else can we show you um this is um olivia she's coming into her second flush and whoa that was not there yesterday yeah it's a lot of new growth coming up so pretty excited to see that second flush on her such a beautiful rose we came out here yesterday we come out every day but i i'm surprised right now because i did not see all this she is loaded she really didn't go crazy for us in in um early spring no surprisingly she didn't this year but which was weird i think it's putting on a lot more growth and a lot more buds so i think it should be good so yeah another rose to talk about soon and then of course our gertrude jekyll um starting to butt up up there yep you know second flush going to look amazing this area haven't done anything to it is the fence that leads towards the backyard the the secret garden um i went ahead and removed some of the hydrangeas that i told you that i showed you on on part one of the tour in the secret garden and put them in there and we're going to go ahead and work on this area pretty soon um the baskets if you want to explain to them because we were supposed to get a new fence we didn't go there we didn't get a new fence yeah so we're supposed to get a new white vinyl fence these are all wood i don't know how old they are but you can see some of it's already falling apart those baskets are kind of hanging forward this one over here we had to literally take down so it's right here on the ground but those are pink bliss shade flower pillow so they're doing extremely extremely well here beautiful beautiful baskets um very full but we'll go ahead and fix yeah we're gonna get the fence fixed and that way we can hang that one back up and probably add some seating here um we do have that little um chair and uh the table and the chairs where we do a little round that's the spot where we do our roast chat and you set up the little table there and sit right there yeah but yeah so yeah that hosta right there look at this shadowland [Music] it's looking beautiful those flowers have it's inside a container for almost a month now yeah they last a very long time and the hummingbirds just go crazy how big it is for that for the blooms the blooms are starting to to die off already yep and then this right here is another rose coming into the second flush this one is lynch filled angel it's a white one one of our white roses we have very few white ones yeah um we just have what claren and lynchfield angel and then we have here oh you want to go ahead and show them our new member take a little puppy break look at that charlie yeah he just came into being a little lazy they've had him running around we literally had him what a week yeah we've had him for about a week now and he's doing great love he's going right in loves my hydrangeas yeah he loves the hydrangeas okay so this is a limelight um standard one of the three of them we act we had them in the back of the garden when we first got here um and we finally made them um out here yeah we put them out here um and oh boy they've they've grown oh yeah they've definitely grown they've grown um and then right here we have fire light hydrangea yeah so fire light is doing great look at that i think last year we literally had like oh my goodness it looked so sad right and now that i'm looking yeah i mean it didn't do this much last year but this year man look at all those buds going yeah we we brought it from the past garden as well but you know it was still in a in a nursery container yeah so yeah it needed to be planted in the ground it's in the ground and how lovely and beautiful i can't wait for those flowers i'm hoping to cut some and take them indoors um and then this right here like i was like i was telling y'all they're not everything is looking great you know there's things that we're still working on um this is the busch clemida stand by me and of course i love the little flowers you know but it's getting too much sun on the bottom yeah so it's cooking the sun's cooking all that right there is burning so i need to make sure to find something else that's going to cover the legs but it still it doesn't stop it from blooming nope um and then you know we have a veronica right there i love to tuck them all the time and there's actually blooming in this area which gets gets a little bit more shade down there um the the also easy peasy rose is taking a break right now too boy did it come into bloom uh i was bringing in bouquets and bouquets of those beautiful um pink flowers they're so tiny but they bloom in like bouquets oh yeah they cluster yeah cluster big big clusters of pink and then this right here that we're super happy right now every time we look so forward to is the rose of sharon's this is um sugar tip rose of sharon it's a variegated um rose of sharon with a double pink bloom and it's loaded with blooms oh yeah now in the first part of the garden tour i explained how there is times that we just don't follow rules in the garden meaning in the ways we plant because of the short time that we're gonna live here in the small space gardening there are things that we don't want to get rid of and we need to find spaces for when we got here these rows of sharon's right here are three of them and they're all bunched up one would be fine only one um when we got here just wanted to make sure that before winter came we you know they didn't stay inside their nursery containers so i put them all through there haven't had time to split them up to put them in other areas and i might to tell you the truth i might not be able to and we are not going to be here long um i think they'll do fine they seem to be happy last year they went crazy blooming i think they're very happy after they stop blooming um i can go ahead and give them a little trim just to control them in the size and shape them up back there done already blooming is queen elizabeth she stayed in the garden yep queen elizabeth uh unfortunately i'll see if i can throw a picture up there of what i took but she's already dying down but we're going to take a cutting of that one and try to regrow her and then we have here and remember there is this area was not supposed to happen first of all we were not supposed to we we didn't have it planned that's what i mean we did not have plan to go ahead and create a garden on the side um but it just happened is that what we say it just happened um so right here we're working on this area trying to cover that right there with some plants and so i have quite a bit of a mess right here um still trying to figure out things and extra plants that are still in their nursery containers but look at this right here oh yeah that one is a lady of shallot i can't say it i'm always saying the name so wrong but look at how gorgeous that is it's been blooming um yeah it's got blue quite a bit and getting ready to do more and this is another rose that we just potted up this spring out of from from rare route to and it has so many more to go the long canes i can just go crazy talking about the roses guys but we'll do that like i said on another video um i wanted we want to show y'all what else is growing in here we have a number of plants you know still in containers cat um cat pajamas right here that stop it's already done blooming for right now i think it's coming into another one yeah um i have you know lavender that i've grown there since last year in a pot with um what was it um strawflower the straw flower that surprises it came back yeah this year so it's not supposed to come back in our in our in our zone 7b um and then the tomatoes i am so happy right now and looking forward to the tomatoes we got these are peruvian tomatoes this one is a garden treasure so that one's growing very healthy we miss those i miss so much to eat from the garden that's one big thing that we're missing um not having the space to to have what we used to have a kitchen garden yeah a little area to you know plant our vegetables or veggies but or getting creative and try you know just putting things in mixing them in with the rest of the the yeah yeah also we with those tomatoes we also have some basil in there um that's growing extremely well yeah and then don't forget that guy right there that um yes hibiscus right there that's perfect which will literally take over right here so i'll be moving all these things out of the way soon because there's no stopping that one um ambrose um what did you do you went ahead and put some extra plantings in there the other day there's a red osteospherenum bright lights red and then there's a creeping zinnia right here i'm loving this creepy zoo it's beautiful it's always blooming since you since you planted that then blooming like crazy then we have what's that uh peach berry ice cream oh i love it it right now is the perfect lighting so this is why i i planted these colors right here so real quick this part of the garden has been named golden hour by angie and as you can see that's the reason why right there the sun is nicely right there there's just that spot right there i just love it and it's so every time around go in an hour that you start to see it glow right there i just love it so much and that's why i put teasing georgia right there and and molyneux right here and these hooker respite look at how gorgeous as everything's coming into their second flush already this rose has just loved it here it is in a container i know many of you asked to be for us to show the container so with that in mind we're going to show you the container what it's in what size would you say that is of container that one's maybe about a five gallon honestly yes which we need to up the container pretty soon um oh before we miss um um your favorite we sleep two dollars doing great starting to put on some more blooms right there yeah you can see all over the place so excited for that one to re-bloom again because i love that rose yeah and molly knew just went crazy he's just starting to you know um all right so we talked about the peach berry eyes what else do we have over here um we snuck in a couple of um one of the newest um say uh uh russian state for improving winners i don't know the exact name i forgot it's a brand new one and then i did finally get to find um strawberry it's a gunfrina strawberry fields i think that's true i finally got you found that one for me ambrose actually found that one for me in a local nursery then here we have the the new hydrangeas the newest panicle hydrangeas two of of of some of the uh proven winners uh pinnacle hydrangeas that we were um that are friends from um prairie winter's color choice so this one i believe is sandus uh firelight tidbit and that one right there is quick fire fab and look at that which should get completely humongous but this is one of the first brand new planting one of the first um panacea hydrangeas that you will be seeing blooming in your garden so how gorgeous is that and that one is um um smaller in size so i'm excited to be with big beautiful bloom so i'm excited to see that one and then ambrose has something else back there it's an edible dragon tongues bush beans and then uh for those of you that were looking at that drops of juniper uh ornamental oregano that's it right there that was a quart size container and it's completely spreading i can't wait for those uh perfect flowers it blooms yeah it's what like like panicle purple flowers and then miss darcy bustle is in bloom look at her she's finally gonna give a good bloom so the thing about darcy buzzle is that she really loves the warm weather the heat um and we were living in zone eight eight eight eight eight eight was it eight or eight b and it it was a little more warmer so she was always in bloom constantly and here it we've seen her that we need to wait for her we need to be a little bit more patient it's warming up well not today because today is actually a little cooler it's a little cool um but she's starting to put on more buds and she's also in in a container then we added a little bit more um of of um the gumparina for proving winners um i can't remember truffle pink which is one of my favorite plants from last year and then this is um major showers verbena then we have we actually have clematis over there sweet summer oh yeah there's a clematis climbing on teasing georgia there sweet summer love that's the name of that one yes correct and then we have another one here we're hugging on on um on brother gadfield and you guys missed that i'm so sorry i get to show it i'm not sure if ambrose has any video from it i'm gonna see if i got any pictures of brother cat phil brother godfall put on a show finally he also loves it when it gets a little bit more um um warmer yeah he's putting a lot of growth and i'm trying to go a little bit quick because i know you know we don't want to make this so long um then down here is another perfect winter's rose also easy double pink my goodness did it fill out also entirely with the blooms i went ahead and actually cut these um from the also easy um roses i love them so much they're so easy to take care of i always rave about them but i love to take them inside too i just love the way they cluster and they're just perfect for bouquets oh yeah um we have another one here also easy double this is my favorite i think it's hamburglar's favorite from from the proven winners you can see those beautiful red blooms man i love that one and we're going to have to start dead heading so i did a deadhead on purpose so you guys can see what's what's going on in the garden um what it's looking like um we have um there's this right here tomato back there that one is uh uh which one's that one garden gem so that's garden gem back there looking great yeah a lot of a lot of tomatoes also as you can see that over there oh this is gorgeous so our boys which i call um harlow carr yep are just putting on a show right now look at that bouquet right there this i can just cut and take indoors that bouquet right there is gonna burst open do you have one or two open and the rest of them are coming along we will go ahead and start once they finish with this second flush we're gonna go ahead and give them a little trim and shape them up again um and then there's plants underneath we have um pink perfusion salvia beautiful i love it it's been just blooming like crazy then we have serendipity alliums it's an ornamental onion that is starting to form already the the blooms and i'm so excited to see that one in in bloom um and then we have um what are these angel face blue face blue angel face blue i always think it's purple it looks purple it's so pretty and then um cats pajamas hats pajamas and oh my goodness these the the the um primo black curl cooker man have they they took off they loved it here they've been doing amazing um we tucked in other little plants because i want to see how they're grow they're going to grow this right here is boogie woogie from proven winners um sedum and this is another russian sage from um probing winners and look at that oh i just love that right there those the rose um ambrose has a cucumber that's growing back there yep the cucumber back there that i'm going to try this once it starts to vine out so it we need some greenery on that wall so that's why that's why i told him girls some cucumbers back there the last tomato back there that one's bellini starting to put on some some tomatoes back there as well so excited for these tomatoes i am excited and getting ripe a little bit so we haven't uh mulch here because this was something that we i decided to go ahead and do um we had two of these two are limelight hydrangeas and we had two of these that we brought in in those in that big black container um i went ahead and kept one and i like to cover this window right here because it gets really really hot and it's a sitting area but i love to see out and i love the view of the hydrangeas um i'd rather see the hydrangeas and have the hot blazing sun hills in there but um we went ahead and brought the other um what is it the limelight tree hydrangea out here standard and i decided i wasn't really going to do much and just put let some um coleus grow down there they get huge that's ridiculous coleus and it gets big um i i just love how bushy they actually grow like a big bush so i'm hoping that it covers it all right here um and you know i don't have to worry about the bottom i don't know the pots so let's go ahead and make our way to the to the front where all the the flower parties happening this is uh the the front of the house oh my shadow's ruining the shot but full sun full-blown sun up here all day just look at that and i love it we this has become the funnest part to plant from the whole garden swoop through the dailies there because they look absolutely gorgeous sound of my heart is called sun on my heart daily as you can see those they've been blooming now for about a week yes and they're going on their second year yep since planted then look at all the buds that's still left to be loaded i mean they just look amazing so that's a long blooming um day lily yep um we'll be seeing a lot more of that show such a beautiful beautiful flower and that's what i was talking about to a lot of you on post that i make on instagram and facebook about how if you're really turned off about daylilies because all you remember or know are the yellow ones are orange um try these it it'll just open your mind to adding all the you know i i was like that i kind of got tired of seeing the yellow ones growing up in our garden and um now i love them again we actually added a few oh yeah yeah of course what else we got here so y'all can see those limelight hydrangeas that we planted two years ago yes they were in three gallon container and i'm only saying that because a lot of you asked guys um how how big they were when we planted them they were in three gallon containers yep and they've grown big and they've been pruned back to about halfway so that's that's new growth from yeah uh late winter until now now here's where i tell everyone how we you know is breaking the rules for me because if this was a permanent home that's not what we would have planted would probably have a hydrangea i would probably gone with a smaller version of of a hydrangea maybe little lime yeah um not these because of course they're going to get real big one will probably cover this whole area yeah but how we're only here for a few years we'll be moving them out of here so we can we can prune them back and have them grow this big and you know we're gonna enjoy the show for now um and then what else do we have the monarda show them the monarda this is perfectly pink part of my pink pardon i keep on saying that pardon my pink and the bees have been having a blast yeah look at that green button wow that's awesome it's so cute and smells so good all the time and then um oh these i fell in love with these yeah so these are super tunia mini vista violet star yeah i forgot the name and they are just pushing up like they're so pretty i was not really big into that type of flower but i'm loving it now i think it's so fun for the kids too well they were really excited when we did the planting angelina especially she our oldest she just she loves it so much and comes out here all the time blew my mind yeah we put blew my mind in between these you can see that and we did blew my mind underneath just in case the the mini vistas didn't um you know perform well for us we've never really had any luck growing any type of mini of any type of petunia on in the ground well it's a little bit warm but i was trying to see if it's cool enough for some of these to be open down already and what do we have in that row there oh that is good i think that's what makes it glow yeah that's that variegated um impatient what's that one called again tropical compact tropical yes there you go yeah so compact tropical rolls yes looking great they'll start to they're they're already filling in i mean it doesn't look like much on camera but compared to when we first planted them in they're filling in and in the begonias do you uh double up red double up red now these are great because they'll do well in sun or shade i love them they're so pretty can't wait for them to get big and you know fiddling then back there we have the salvia um uh so there's what is it called rock and playing the blues yes back there and then um in the front of them there is meteor shower power verbena so producers are coming back these all the pollinators hang out in the front right here so it's wonderful we do have to add more lemon coral sedum yeah that's something we're going to i'm just going to add back in here the reason it's not really coming back is because we turned on the drip system way later in the season they weren't getting water the the the sedum the lemon core serum has been there since last year yep and it it does need water for it to start to fill out and grow again um so let's see the the top of the the door the doorsteps up there you want to go ahead and yeah so i'm going to walk up there all right so this is the three plant container that we did they are spilling out already bowling dark red geranium how gorgeous is that that just looks awesome and then we have uh super being a sparkling amethyst i love that one i think that's like my favorite right now then intertwining with that new uh moonlight night alyssum it smells so good too i love that one the little yellow uh in between it's beautiful and then there's the other one on this side here so that's three plants yep three plants just filling out looking amazing i've been coming out here and just tried to you know mix the verbena with the the alyssum together um but there is doing great and this is my little my fire sticks that i've had for like a couple of years already yeah and brought him out for a little vacation so he can get some color and then there's our um um oh i forget the name of our evergreens oh these are castle wall yeah the hollies so they put on a beautiful show in winter with the red berries it just looks so so pretty and i'm still looking for urn it's melting still yeah that urn started to get uh attacked by the heat and it's just melted from the bottom so that's why it's so sad yeah and then oh let's go back over here to uh strawberry hill yeah so strawberry hill did an amazing first flush it's coming on its second one yeah it's coming back on the second one you can see a bloom right there and there look who's here bloom on top there having a blast with my rose japanese beetles so we learned a little something about these guys we learned that if to look for on their shoulders for two white spots um excuse my nails i've been on the gardening if if you find two white spots this guy doesn't have it but if you find two white spots it means that they have a um oh a host they're hosting uh larvae for another insect yeah and that insect will end up um basically pouring into it and eating it from the inside out so yeah so interesting fact yeah so that's something that um that we just learned about so if you find them with those two little markings on their back do not kill them because they'll just keep on um eating it yeah eating the japanese beetles which that's good so i'm noticing right now which this is new to us the black spot on it the black spot on strawberry hill yeah um we didn't see this last year no so i don't know if it's maybe because the way it's trained i i think last year it was a little bit more freeze it was able to air out a little bit and because it's in the obelisk it's kind of you know constricting its airflow so yeah it's full of buds though maybe something we can do as far as pruning it back or see what we can do later it's full of buds though so that's something great and i'm very surprised to be seeing japanese beetles because this this rose has a very very strong scent of myrrh yeah and i don't know i felt that it was just um making repelling them but i don't know so something different is happening this time but it's full of blood so we'll be able to see that second show um and then here we have a um another day lily tiger swirl day lily and it has some ants here so this little area needs some caring to do for but it's got plenty of buds on that it has plenty of buds and i hope those ants don't i don't think they're going to do anything much to the data he's going to have to take care of that put something in there yeah so things to look at in the garden and pay attention to just in case that you know so nothing bad happens to the plants i will follow you down so i don't trip okay so last thing to show you up here in the front are the flower pillows that we went ahead and planted very early in spring and these are called home again home again and perfect name perfect name because i we took a break from growing bordeaux and that's my favorite favorite supertunia of them all and um i missed it very much i love it because of of the scent yeah but there's other um there's velvet uh supertunia royal velvet royal velvet um super bells great punch great punch which i love too and they're exploding um you know everything's been getting fertilized the way it should every single week once a week so getting taken care of and we're still working in this area you know i still have some things to do up there i think it's done um i don't think i'm going to touch that and just you know go ahead and get me another urn um these baskets right here i'm still working on where to actually place them um we're not going to talk about the containers on the bottom because we actually have not put them out on video yet it's another three plant container so we're going to go ahead and hold off on that if anybody wants to do some guessing there um somebody asked when we planted the front right there where's the yellow it's in here and it's beautiful so if anybody wants to guess what these plants are yeah i'll give it away i'm playing but look at that yellow beautiful so it's a really fun container that we're gonna show pretty soon um so that's it i hope it's not too long what do you think i don't know we'll see maybe going to be long even though we have such a small little garden we try to put as much that we can into it um to enjoy all the plants that we want to enjoy um there's just so many plants that one you know one will for us both we just want to have and and and be able to experience you know in our own garden um i hope it was fun you know for you guys to see everything that we're growing here uh a lot of things are still you know very young plantings that we've done so it's going to be pretty fun to go ahead and show you along the way yeah what they're growing they're going to grow into so i think we'll leave it here and like i said i hope that you you know you enjoyed very much this tour have any questions over anything go ahead and ask us and you can always find us on instagram and facebook and in twitter so you have any questions you can find us there too and you can go ahead and ask us i've been seeing a few of you there um in instagram asking us questions so that that's pretty cool and awesome to be able to talk to y'all through through you know communicate through that way too well thank you very much and hope you enjoy once more ambrose anthony that's it that's all i got okay we're letting you go guys thank you again bye and remember bloom where you were planted bye
