well thanks for visiting us this morning at ktalnews.com and your Weather Authority app I'm meteorologist Josh Morrison is with your Wednesday morning forecast update hope everybody had a great Fourth of July holiday we're in a back to normal as we continue through the week here in pretty normal weather pattern for us as well so we should have highs uh continuing in the low to mid 90s and just slight rain chances today the front that did bring us the rain Monday and Tuesday is uh basically fizzled out and moved to the east here so that was the trigger for the storms Monday and Tuesday so we're just kind of relying on the heat and humidity to drive some thunderstorms in today especially south of I-20 but our next big weather maker will be moving in tonight as well as tomorrow you can see this next uh we'll call it a front basically it's just some upper level energy that we'll be swinging in and we'll likely see a few complexes of storms move across the Oracle text on Thursday so we'll get right back into the rain and cool the temperatures a bit by tomorrow but today's setting up to be partly cloudy pretty warm days we'll start start out in the 70s so not too bad early in the morning but afternoon highs should be about 93 to 96 degrees of course humidity high enough our heat index will likely be maybe just above 100 today but it is another day without a heat advisory and hopefully we can continue to avoid those through the weekend and hopefully we can avoid severe weather as well because the storms that will be coming in again later tonight out of Arkansas and Oklahoma it should be weakening as they move towards us but we can't rule out even with those weakening storms maybe some damaging winds and this would actually be late tonight keep in mind these Storm Prediction Center outlooks are valid basically from sunrise to Sunrise so it's not a midnight to midnight thing this is going to take into account maybe a few storms that come in after midnight tonight that could bring some high wind and we'll likely see maybe that isolated severe weather threat continue on Thursday as well so I'll take you through the next few days here on your Robin stood at futurecast best rain chance today I'll kind of widen out the picture here uh will be from some storms that develop to the south of the the architect so we may tap into some of that rain especially across the Toledo Bend region today but even in the northern Arco Tech so we really don't have a driver for the rain but enough heat and humidity today that we could see just in isolated or spotty shower just about anywhere this afternoon this evening I should see a little bit of a break late tonight but these would be these storms early tomorrow morning that again we'd potentially have to watch for maybe some high wind or even an isolated instance of large hail and the same energy in the atmosphere that's going to trigger those storms tomorrow morning will pass overhead to Mars I actually think we will see some scattered to maybe widespread rainfall here on Thursday and if there's a day this week that we're kind of held in the 80s due to some rain Thursday would be the day so I think the temperatures will be several degrees cooler but we will have some rain around through the day on Thursday before we start to dry out a bit Friday and Saturday big change here with the Outlook late this week and into next week we had high pressure initially forecast to build in and that was going to send our temperatures closer to 100 degrees by late in the weekend but now with rain likely uh Sunday Monday into Tuesday we'll kind of hold those temperatures maybe in the low to mid 90s so I'm hopeful we can avoid the heat advisories and the heat warnings here through the weekend and with that rain getting stirred up next week we'll continue to keep those highs in the 90s one word of caution about the pattern next week it's the same kind of pattern we were in a few weeks ago where we did see those big complexes the storms moved through and leave some wind damage not saying that's going to happen but it is something we'll have to watch as the forecast evolves for the next few days again only an isolated severe weather threat here later tonight as well as tomorrow but we may see maybe slightly higher potential for a few strong storms by early next week
