[Music] I'd be contented to leave [Music] five year contract you have four options it's another words you don't like that's part of this so you'll be involved if you're successful which I feel very strongly about for additional years and in between times you can make pictures oh god I have this terrible fear that you know if I commit and say yes what then if it's ten times harder and more demanding than I'd ever imagined and then I'll not be able to get out of it [Music] could be one year it could be you know if it was successful it could be a couple of three years or whatever and that's kind of something we have to talk about well obviously you're thinking about it you haven't just said no so it must have some appeal somewhere well yes it does and it doesn't you know well maybe I Ottawa just play the devil's advocate and and and on its way the issue what appeals to you well I suppose the chance to do a lot of different things in one way it appeals a lot and in another way I'm really doubtful that I want to get into that kind of really hard work you know I think that bothers me about it is family and you and how it will affect us you know whether you can manage with my being a kind of business lady I haven't worked for like for three years and just been a mum until then you know it means also that you won't have as much time to write your books now while I'm hoping that you know I don't suppose I don't feel like we've got another one in me just yet although I hope there will be others but if I could just get Whangdoodle finished that would be kind of something out of the way and um Liz you know it'll take a lot of correcting and editing but mostly you know gamma tilde marriage what will they do to us well I don't think it's gonna do anything to us and then negative sense because I think that hopefully we're bright enough to to handle that one way or another if you think in terms of quality and not quantity it can work out fine it works out first time of the children yeah it works out great for Carol she's got a routine life that gives her plenty of time with the kids yes and allows her to feel very rewarded creatively well I think you know at the beginning it's gonna be worse than it will be later on when we get into some kind of a routine [Music] - Justin [Music] [Applause] [Music] they get up onto the letters but they'll go for the closing with Alice coming in at the end right no well I think what you're asking for is somebody to make a decision yes I have I guess okay do it [Music] just did one just something and you don't work and all the songs I've always wanted to sing and so I might as well go for bus now and try and enjoy and then maybe she is from now sit back and really relax write the books I'd like to write and enjoy myself just as long as we get out of the beach every weekend I swam with me relax she's never been allergic to hard work he started at a very tender age no I'm not allergic to it in fact I'm inclined to be compulsive about it I've always sweat like a horse because I do does it not do it here no that's all right I goofed up on some lyrics earlier well why didn't you tell me I was flogging myself to death down here I mean you know I don't care how much they offer I don't care how much it satisfies you in terms of being able to sing every week it's not worth it the strain is gonna be enormous you know see what they have to say and don't decide to do that until somebody who is going to run the show somebody you know like a Nick Van offer somebody like that who has the experience who will understand your power meaning is what they're talking about right yeah can convince you that you can come up with something that at least is it different enough to make it worthwhile well I think I'll talk to Nick you know people keep asking me what what's the concept of the show you know what's the what's gonna be different about the show and and who's gonna be on it and I find these questions kind of difficult and so simple answer at the same time there's gonna be on my show Julie Andrews that's the most important what's the concept Julianne without Juliana's we have no Julie Andrews out yeah yes I know that but then they gotta seize but what else you gonna do what your thing is what we're going to do is select material that shows you off to your best event [Music] one not tomorrow it's exactly exactly right I think you find out already how hard work television yes how are you going to combine that with the a mother and I'm hoping that if I can be very very firm about weekends and certainly evenings of the week with the children for instance when the children are in school or when I'm making a movie we always I'm failing you take them out on a Wednesday evening for dinner that's are you think this when they're whole you always have too many afternoons together before to have breakfast together I thought we can still manage those things I think people always manage to have our weekends together if we're rigid about it my children know that's the way it's going to be then I know that they'll become anxious about like being away and actually went to that's interesting I think each child when I'm not sure that each child has reacted differently I was just gonna say that each one has been different but but I know that Emma who's I youngest I think she's been the most anxious that I would be gone away you know when I was most busy she was quite you know and one of the best things about taking off for three years was that I was able to really spend time with her and really cement a good relationship and now here I am suddenly getting very busy again and she's anxious about that I think Jeffrey who's the middle boy oh he's almost is it unconsciously anxious but I think he's old enough and mature enough to know why and we also know that I'm not gonna go but I'm really hopefully not gonna stop being about it you know it's harder to convince Emma of that but Jeffrey klarik Jenny it was 15 and a half is kind of stimulated by the wall it just might be exciting for her to you know and I hope she'll come but maybe get in world watch [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] well it's a story of a little girl and her search for happiness and a place for herself in life and as a matter of fact I'm almost finished with a second book which I hope will come out fairly soon the first book is called Mandy and the same but the second book is called the last of the really great wine doodles well until this television show began I've mostly been being a mum to the children it sounds awfully corny but I haven't been working I've been writing which I enjoy very much it's the kind of discipline that makes me feel as though I'm working it today but and yet I don't have to leave the house or anything like that as a matter of fact I've just written my first song well actually I've written songs before but this is the first time that I've built up enough courage to show unto anybody I showed it to my very dear friend Leslie Britta's what do you want it to be done I mean it's a theme a general theme yes I'd like it to be a theme it should have a kind of friendly feeling something it's something that could stand by itself or be used as an ending to the show you know and I do you have to tell me if you don't like it I mean you have to be really straight with me business because you know please don't be too kind or anything just a little bit okay I think I'm playing it very high but this is the only key I can play it mmm it goes [Music] yes no I really want to know why poisoning the food just enough that's where the great breakers yeah the thing being that I I thought it would be nice to try to write a song that would fit at the end each show you know how there's always a song that he's played credit that he wants something that is thematic both to you I'd like it be something isn't quite over knows it isn't really a goodbye song but that but that can be some of that [Music] that is the worst thing I ever it's really very very low Oh God under your talent it's useful oh dear well I don't know and I see what you mean I see what you want from it um what what sort of do you have any idea on what you wanted to say at all well if it's used at the end of the show it should either be something it says she's invisible in her name is Priscilla Priscilla dances to turn 18 I think that one of the things that should be exploited in you is the side probably that your friends and more than the people I [Applause] [Music] sometimes I was gonna say that what I'd try to do these decide what's the important thing if I'm trying to finish the book then I'll concentrate on that and I will probably do my senior practice right now I'm getting in shape vocally because I know I'm going to be working on the television show [Music] then she would have a variation on that I could be natural is what I well when I'm practicing I do scales and technique and it depends about kidding around with the children do something idiotic the next he's been married seven times before and everyone wasn't any old iron you look treat talk about it oh don't you know coming from you never do you feed dressed in stall with a grand new barn and a partner's or green tie on but I wouldn't give me time spero watch-chain old iron old iron then a little item an item bottom bottom oh now see what is it [Music] okay now what if you could take all-star I know where you're going yes I suddenly be like one two three will not about it out to now hello have you learned about the ratings game in television yes I'm not gonna think about it I think I'll let Nick worry about it a bit just try and have fun because I'd go crazy otherwise numbers yes good reviews yeah no I mean a good review you would have the best review and a terrible rating and yes you think you haven't done much television have you done any at all I've done specials but really not much I mean nothing like this more about that later I'm scared to death I I mean when you think that I guess I did fair lady on Broadway what just fair lady alone I think for two years on Broadway and I think I did like in awe about 1,500 performances and that I mean I could play fair lady for like a hundred and fifty years and that still wouldn't be as many people as will see me on there there's too much television and it's a scary thought I guess the answer is I don't really know we just yet a lot of its gonna trial and error I don't even know what I might I know what I'd like to try and help well as much you know how as much fun as I possibly can because I think if I enjoy myself and a lot of people will too and I really don't know just how far I can go in comedy and I've done it within a specified role but I've not done it on my own I think you know it's a terrible way to try out but one tries out in front of a vast audience and I guess Oh horrible I want to be happy but I won't be happy till I make you happy [Music] life's really worth living when we are mirth giving I want to to you Hey would you join me when skies are gray and you say you will send the sunshine in [Music] we make and if you're not happy if you're not pleased if you aren't really enjoying yourself then your audience oh there you are Poppins one more trick like that and I'll give you a blow out in your bustle Billy Billy there's anyway cheer so she does that more in the camera that's one that was so side I don't know it would be great to get her head on on really was a most dreadful noise like a thousand bullfrogs cooking at once or a million locusts swarming before an attack a locust ism our little tiny sort of almost like a grasshopper and they swarm
