we're gonna have a clean fight let's touch gloves and come out ready to do this yeah this is in many ways a battle of the mastermind coaches absolutely big right hand by mighty mouse one thing to factor in that we did see in the first fight was that dodson slowed down yes whereas mighty mouse didn't right hand landed to the body good shots to the body ten times [Applause] greg jackson calling elevation and get a shot okay so you can come off the shot and take the head and he's definitely wearing down yep the only flyweight champion in ufc history with the left trying again to take down datsun good right hands as he's trying to take him down nice name excellent knee to the body oh good kick yeah with the right hand again with no wind up i don't know what i mean really throws that better than anybody in being so outspoken about the first fight got to put a lot of pressure on himself here beautiful elbow there by mighty mouse short little punches by both men now elbow that was a that was like a flying crotch then goes right underneath the legs i heard dean again he tagged him and heard him there that's what we've seen from the greatest champions in ufc history they made great fighters look ordinary constantly cutting angles boom there's that right hand again left hand behind it two on the clock this is fading and mighty mouse catches him with a left hook on the break looking for another takedown and just the the relentless pressure that mighty mouse puts on there final seconds there it is right hand on the job [Music] [Applause] dancing just really doesn't know but look at my face i look prettier than a [ __ ] was there anything surprising about this fight tonight nope i'm a hard worker and i knew john dodson was gonna come here and work hard but i love working hard i love working for what i have congratulations on a masterful performance mighty mouse johnson ladies and gentlemen a seventh title defense by mighty mouse he's just running through the entire division he made john dodson not able to do anything in any aspect of the game what do you think about mighty mouse as an athlete in general he absolutely dominated that entire fight i i know he wanted to finish really bad and didn't get it but he looked awesome tonight how did you negate the power that he talked about so much this week just uh being very technical and staying focused you know one of the things that we work extremely hard in this camp on just staying low not getting high and popping out right in his wheelhouse you are the cardio king does it surprise you when opponents come in and they're not prepared to keep up with you for all five rounds i try to simulate and fight like my coaches because when i spar them they're always on me and when i'm fighting i'm going to be all over my opponents too when you listen to hume talk to him in between rounds and and the way that he responds to human and the things that are said back and forth it's it's fascinating demetrius johnson is is an incredible fighter and uh he he looked amazing tonight a question for john dodson over here i know you obviously are very confident going into this fight and it's rather fresh but can you at least discuss why you think it didn't go your way and perhaps while you had more success in the first fight than the second fight since while everybody keeps on talking about this glass roof this glass ceiling i'm gonna break through it i'll make sure that i can come back and like come back stronger if dana gives me the opportunity to go ahead and beat up beat up a bunch of people that are seem worthy to fight demetrius i will do it and i'll make sure i can make another title run at this again it was a good fight but i had to go home and watch it and there's some stuff my goal ultimate goal was to finish him like i knew i had the cardio to finish him but i just couldn't get to that point so do you start looking at maybe you know one-off fights at bantamweight and giving him a different challenge there's always a contender man and we are working on something right now and when it happens you'll you'll agree fair enough all right and i'll be ready for it
