there's much effort into drinking coffee as I did my training I'd be a world champion by now [Music] now take it easy went twice Disneyland and it was probably more an affluent go into Disneyland for a week then it was doing a week of training you know like walking around all the parks you walk in like 10 12 kilometers a day now from like 8 o'clock back at 9 p.m. with the net like you know you think trainers are walking around Universal see I did six na ki yeah which is pretty pretty big for a non swimmer like me I've put as much effort into drinking coffee as I did for training I feel world champion by now yeah I was training by myself in Norwich and I was just it was just kind a bit stale you know like was battling away doing almost home by myself and I was like god no you know I know I should be doing a fresh old section once a week and sometimes I get the Pro Shop session of course we bought myself like almost like you know here we go again you know so like sometimes I wouldn't do sometimes at work did the challenge champion chair I didn't feel that good in the day anyway but I had an aftershock they've got like you know terrible race and I really motivate afterwards like the girl from the day Laura and I said to her I did not finish you know I can't be on I need to see something different so I put a Facebook post up there and obviously like I couldn't move to a different country or anything because like you're an outlaw and she's like working in Norwich if I get a doctor and so like it had to be somewhere in England really but I didn't know where really everyone base themselves I post up on there it's a weird ways good places in England to train with by the squats and people said look for a copy people said lock breath and then Steve Lloyd the coach from absolute ride commented on there and said why don't you come to Nottingham and then Laura she went to university and dying and reduce everyone can go to not you it's nice it's close look for anyway so you call it prepare food session so I'm just kidding sweet potato chips ready and I'll do some roasted veg so I can pretty much cook it so when I get back from the road sense and later on later on this evening it's all pretty much done you know I literally just heat it up so it will save me you know the time especially when you've got you know something the next day like I'll probably waiting at home front action till 8 p.m. so far I waited by the house to cook all this it could mean on my songs done where do I do this now I'll get home within 10 minutes it'll all be done you know the clues like cooking the chicken and everything so I can chill out there before I go to bed basically get more nutrition in recover quicker and have more time in bed sleep should feel fresher yeah yes the a race is definitely Karen over to be honest I have like a few a races all that one at the end of the year pick one in life and middle of the season I'm not hundreds in trouble during the middle of the year yes but there my first my first big objective is I'm a New Zealand I've been second there twice done there this year to win it I'll really celebrate it the wind and brought myself a nice TV at home you know big old 82 a winter TV told Tom my girlfriend a mum that I'd wanted to have celebrating already everyone else is just racing to pick up the pieces good late tonight one page 200 joke it's 600 bit faster turn the job 400 bit faster then the recovery after a type and that we're using four times radius apparently like pretended okay and then if I continue just be careful in language yeah yeah Genki lon and still going on it's fall time last year I've been doing this in Australia 30 degrees alright mate I was like aw stew wanna pay out you want me to pop for a track session tonight and now it's like the complete opposite like the last time you like being them with like overheating doing them yeah oh I'll see you guys more anyway okay lesson in it when you know you're gonna be back here in like nine hours come here be honest the main thing about New Zealand is like it's a brilliant country to go to like scenery that's certainly great and the time and I think of the year fantastic the races at the start of March so most people would think a stupid idea to go and race a race in March coming out of British window but how I look at is I've done it twice now every year we're not been in good form in the mid of the year as when operates New Zealand because you have to go out there like you know three four weeks early if you're coming from life where we are northern hemisphere to get over the time difference you know and get used to the warmer weather out there so that means say I go out at the start of February I've got four weeks where I can train in the heat you know where it's nice and warm I can go uninterrupted training and then I do I'm a New Zealand and it sets you up really good for the rest of the year cuz we're done breaks New Zealand I'm not that motivated you know I get to Christmas normally I'm not raised until there you know I can keep I can keep on the cake to keep eating the rubbish you know not good no John's not trying too hard in training Paul you know it might come around and you're not actually that fit where's your game you you know I get Jan I get Christmas out the way New Year get to like first and second the jandreau and I'm like you know I've got an island and put eight weeks I can't I can't afford to mess around I've got to get my act together so it kind of keeps me motivated be traded you've only got four weeks you know January of Roberts weather to train with go out to New Zealand four weeks of great weather do the race come back you've got good fitness people he's just done like build up for an Ironman it sets you up perfectly to carry on your training you know the bigger races in July where you want to be in top form so it's just good motivation and you can get some money you know you win the race to get some decent money you get some get some good beat sponsors you know you get some publicity and and I like racing as well I really like the race good atmosphere course suits me and I haven't won it have I you know I've been second there twice up in the bridesmaid it's time to step it up and be the bride so Jimmy has given me his bike because that can't drive so he's got he's got me to say goodbye back from the track this evening so after swimming tomorrow you can come straight around here so just for a piss-take we're gonna page bike on Facebook marketplace and put it up the side and tag him in the post so now listing is there is bike on that like that you want a picture taken in yet look at that a proper Brooksie high that is what said before anyway learn or respect me one day say about not going so iconic contacted Steve to be messing around so what's it like and they said are you know skip this and like bus guys there who some for 2400 so I thought well got there went up there a few times in the summer for about four or five days each time just to see what it's like because you know you can't commit to some way if you've never been there both times to put it was brilliant so I went up there and then train with them and then like I thought at the end of the year you know once the season is all out the way long races are done I'm gonna look to get a place so like well like you said what's the benefits of it I've got twenty people probably to swim with you know return up on a any firm churchmen you've got there's 15 20 people there Steve's on full side you know like you videoed me like two three times already and I've only been eight days nine days women so you know that's gonna help massively and he's giving me lots of technique device like he's already seen what I'm doing wrong and what kind of tried to think because I've had a lot of videos before where people have said you turn what you don't roll but I haven't really told you how to correct it they're always like you know you're doing this roster yes I was you know I know a million times that you know exactly what videos in the show but it's like how do I stop backing on changes so Steve's like really good at that and yeah I've been somewhat stating group of people like you know mixed recessions good techniques are good people to push you and then the both sessions are great you know like the ride between us today it was you know perfect for the TT by but then the ones what we do tomorrow will be like in the hills you know see like what a mixture terrain to have on your doorstep loads of good cyclist as well round here I mean I'm only just getting in contact with them but people have told me who's up here it's not - I know what their results are and you know they're really good so hopefully gal with me decide there soon and in the run runnings brilliant you know I've got loads of trails from my doorstep got the park which is great for AAMCO Park back my boyfriend run there tomorrow so you'll see that and then lots of people to run with as well you know people from the Tri squad so Jimmy Kershaw and few others so there's just a lot more people better coach ed terrains great for training better than what you get in Norwich this has got more than mixture like you've got the hills and they've also got the flat so it just seems all round a bit better [Music] [Music] I mean looking at Joe Schwinn and having talked to him quiet iam coming up here a lack of volume going on you know she's a lot shrimp on your own greed or a you know my guide we did six or seven [Music] swimming with people that have lasted with him so you know all of that I think alone could help and then get a technical that we can work hopefully that gets the games and you know we haven't used to talk you know or second 100 talking massive gains somebody can't swim somebody who wants to swim it's marginal gains and then you stick into that drafted element and it becomes even easier so yeah clink it there's gonna be some sessions where you've got an opportunity to be pushed by other people you know and and get some input from coaching luckily you know whether a police can help out and stuff you know we've got the ice within therefore 9400 now so you know that doesn't inspire Joe to a shot then you know probably nothing else will yeah you got opportunity it's gonna see whether each like what am i doing my life then ya know contemplate what you're doing but it's always alright once you get there in the end it's just when your alarm goes it's ten past five and you're like oh my god what am i doing it's freezing cold outside you gotta be in it to win it and yeah you ain't gonna you're gonna win if you stay in bed are you that's a guarantee well Jimmy was in bed yesterday weren't ya so he's come to a swim session yesterday you know I get really frustrated because I'm always done in 70-point phrase and it's honestly really really frustrating I do about Peter like no I'm quitting I'm doing another one again so I get so he motivated because a lot of the time when I've done it I've got on the bike and I ended up averaging less watts and I do for an Ironman and then when I get on the run I run like the same pace for an Ironman you know I run 2 / 2 439 in Florida is me off the 405 right Meg I'm from biking slower in a bloody 70.3 and running like a minute going through halfway about the same page as I am in an Ironman and I think is like a mental block because like to challenge Gerrard's burg in this year well I'm gonna try something differently after this race so I thought I'm not gonna racing power on because I think I see the power and you know it ends up playing when they head too much and I done I don't end up executed a good race because you know I've seen the power what I do in training you know and I can do way more power and training than what I can in a race and obviously it shouldn't be that you should be able to openly perform you certainly when you get to race you know yeah it's a race day and you take your level up and up another level that's what I think is doing an Ironman so I've brought a carrot dragon let's do it no power can't see anything just go by Phil and I had a fantastic both our walk about two minutes down got off the bike in first ya know second place behind heat Heinrich who did the challenge challenge championship two weeks before and put eight minutes and I fight the same with him in theorised Bergen without looking at my power and I'm fortunate now how do we have a run injury so I couldn't I had to pull out and run up to pre-k but that I didn't know I had the infill right because it only came on about five days before six days so I I wasn't sure how bad it was but I was in second place when I had to pull out a pre-k and I think had that not happened over probably finished second in that race it would have been a really solid performance of it so I'm looking forward to this year long story short doing some 70 smoked braids and execute and the races that I believe that I can do because I haven't done myself justice in 7.3 and from what I've seen in training I should be able to do at 71 3 so I would like to do it because I think it's quite fun distance but it's not fun when you get you ass here you know who can you know get to the end and you're like I'm 40 what's down from I should be you know when you when you put out 20 what's more in an Ironman than what you've done this 70 front brake you know something something you know not right then yeah you know so yeah I'd like to give it a go I hope you forgive myself just this [Music] [Music] shops a little the Dom that ok 450 watts or something okay [Music]
