Joe Budden Reviews Drake's BBL Drizzy Verse On "U My Everything" | "This Is Sexyy Red's WORST SONG"

uh the Drake that we know had the power to like we sat here and tried to guess what his next sound would be coming off of the beef so we get sexy red I don't think that gets it done me neither I didn't expect that any idea you think that song was already done no no no if you listen to it you hear the bdus you hear some of the things he referenced in the verse no now I want to give him credit for using the BBL Drizzy beat that was clever I I think he had no other choice in the matter I think it was getting too too many legs underneath it too popular it was playing too much Metro keep popping up somewhere playing it yeah I'm going to hop on it now and try to own it a little bit so when you hear it hopefully it'll be my version or you'll think about uh bad [ __ ] love Drizzy whatever he said it stood for I was upset that he only wrapped over it for see what was it four bars eight bars fast eight eight bars in and out I needed to hear the rest of that I was also upset that I had to sit through arguably what I think is probably sexy Red's worst song I'll play it uh don't exist in my iTunes took that out already Drake only also when I heard this right like just for me it sounds like this was a her lost concept that 21 should be singing this and 21 should be rapping that's what it sounds like and then I had trouble not hearing sexy red as has 21 Savage seriously he slid man that was fire y I like it it was cool yeah I I don't need to go I don't need to go back to that I could I'm probably never going to listen to that again I I can just throw that on just in the middle of some little I'm doing a little Drake joint but then right after that just in case you was the whole rest of sexy red project is fire [ __ ] is hilarious [Music] too anyway uh I was thoroughly entertained by the album I was just laugh like I like the project she's funny I like the project I hate that that song I hate that song I know I'm going hear a lot of a lot off of this project out the places I probably yeah I know it so I'm not mad at it that's all I can say about it I I I'm personally am not going to play this anymore same nothing on here I mean outside of the Drake verse but I do know if we get two more albums and you don't and you don't hear none of them joints that we named trying to think of the record that we need from him if I get if you get two more projects and just don't hear that Drake standout for sure joint then I think the the Rumblings will grow louder as to the music sounding different and why is that that's what I'm saying and I think it's a bad time for for this because he he looks different I'm not talking to pop Land wait cuz there's a bunch of the Drake pop land fans have not have been on call on duty since the Kendrick beef they have not stopped I'm not talking about the pop fans who really don't care about none of the elements of hip-hop the principles of hip-hop none of that moral [ __ ] y'all don't give a [ __ ] about that and that's y' right your business cool but to the other people Drake does look different let me ask you a question today 2024 what percent of Drake's fan do you think is pop pop fan versus I give a [ __ ] about that hard hard um hip-hop [ __ ] um I think majority is pop yeah like okay but I think that's kind of been the case for a while by the way this is what I've been trying to tell y'all do you think Drake cares probably not but I'm not speaking to his his his level of care I'm speaking to his ability to produce at a certain clip but if I don't have to I'm not catering to y'all no more ice you don't even hear you don't even hear none of the the slap slaps that catered to them that we we haven't heard a slap was last Fu [ __ ] the hip-hop people you haven't heard nothing to the level of uh c phone you ain't heard nothing to the level of all of those joints you know you know the joints don't let me pull up that album with the joints even that record controller hotline bling remember when that first dropped what they thought it really was MH drum chaa oh yeah that is one that it was this and okay let me take it and do this to it and make it my own so you've even all right that don't change it for me so you've even lost the ability to go find that record like you've done your entire career he's always found that record I didn't think I was coming in here to do like a drake deep dive either we don't have to I don't want to get attacked by these [ __ ] I had a peaceful week I just don't think this is as bad for him as people try to make it make it out to be that's my oh I don't think so either I don't think that I think I think bad I think there's a small percentage that really cares about this and I think there's a very big percentage that's like yo bro just give us a slap and I think Drake still has the potential to give us a slap he just didn't do it with this I think that he needs to do something to rectify how the picture is looking and a slap a a a hit record a a the song of the summer hit record will do that the sexy the sexy red record is unfortunately it's not it's not going to get it do you're not going to get it done let me tell you something I've been out the entire weekend in multiple States and not like us it's come on each time with the same exact effect with the same exact effect and what I've learned about myself is I'm the guy that sets it off I said it up mustard on the B hey and then I said yeah no no and we out I'm the [ __ ] singing every word to the second verse it was it was playing at Park during brunch where it was like 95% women every every woman in there was singing it fam that record is it yeah like you can't escape that record that [ __ ] that's when everybody get L that out get that's when we gear up for the a minor part hey that that's when we get our juices going for the a minor part that we about to sing real loud woo and I'm the last one holding the note on that part too hey when y'all Let It
