well now then people are encouraged of course to look at birds as they are to uh look at all sorts of things but one thing that is sometimes not encouraged according to the words of a song is skiffle and here is a song called mama what is it mama don't want me to play any skiffle no anymore no more [Music] out in here [Music] my [Music] [Music] here [Applause] [Music] i don't know [Music] [Applause] all drummers are the same look okay they have this kind of preoccupied look why well you have such a lot to do you've got any kind of smile what are your two names yours is james page and david housekeeper both from epsom where'd you learn to play the drums for father he taught me gideon yes and uh well the other guitarist father was in the same band as him he's your father yes these things go by generation and you're just learning to play the guitar yes from a teacher do you play anything except skiffle yes spanish and doubt you're doing as well can you move i'm not going to do when you leave school take off skiffle no i want to do uh well biological research i knew that already what do you mean by biological research well cancer if it isn't discovered by them you mean be a doctor no no i haven't got enough phones for that i don't think so that's not friends well i'm sure you have well all right yes understood as they say not at all google quite enough means be adopted what you want to do is to what research into into into germs yes and then you want to do biological research as well but not into germs no what do you want to do by looking at bigger than that well into everything else but germs new enough oh why to do what well just discover new things and to make what well not to make anything just to discover things yes and give others information to make other things very well all right now then from two biologists both who wanted to research we we move over you don't want to go into biological research i know because you're joining a fleet air armor yes you'll hopefully let me in that's right tell me a little more about this skittle group it meets how often well we usually have a rehearsal about once or once a week where at jim page's house very that's central for all of us and i suppose his mother has to like scaffold that's right he's long-suffering wrong you made you made you made this instrument i understand like anthony you're a chef who makes his own instruments too yeah did it take long to make about five months on and off yeah yeah did it come out all right see what i mean or did it when you finished making it did it not play in tune oh no it came out as i hoped you did yes yeah you wanna make another one yes i hope well i'm going to make a bigger one with a curved front bigger better better tone the lot you're going to make something as well yeah so they told me yes pathways through building it [Laughter] now then i also happen to know that you're going to be a research chemist too not a research chemist as a research physicist yes are you an electrical racer what is it about about epsom skifflers that makes them want to be research workers using scientific mindedness right i expect it is yeah what sort of what is the research do you want to do on electrical research why electrical well electricity i tell me it's the lifeblood of the country now yes but it's physics anyway isn't it yes yeah okay now you're going to go into what the cotton phone cotton's on cotton away when i was a little baby my mommy used to rock me in their old cotton fields back home it was down in louisiana not a mile from sexy counter in ammo cotton fields back home now when their cars and balls get running [Music] way back home [Music] [Music] [Music] back home [Applause]

First time I have heard a skiffle version of Mama Don‘t, usually it is more blues /laid back style like JJ Cale’s incredible slow hand ...and did not know that Jimmy Page’s TV stage presence started so early. Thanks for sharing
