Jetty Fishing with NLBN Lures! (Port Aransas, Tx)

[Music] come on oh my god dude R away run out run out run out right away dude second cast let's go bro there we [Music] go and be killing it what's going on guys today I am out here at the B ranis Jetty and we are going to be chunking out some big swimbaits in specific this is the nlbn 5 in swimbait going be rigging it up right now just tying it to my leader um that's the 5 in I have it on a 2 oz jig head I have two setups with two different nlbn this one is the Mullet Run color it's a gray color and then my other one I'll show you here in a second it's a black I think it's the Dark Horse but if you don't know what nlbn is it is it stands for no live bait needed and they are very popular lures out of the Florida area so I just Tred to simple uni not right there we're going to see if these nlbn can get the job done here in Texas at our Jetties today we're going to be targeting some bread fish we got some sporty conditions as of right now I am solo one of my buddies supposed to meet here meet me out here let me show you this other one this one is the the black one they're both on the same jig head we got some sporty conditions and I'm all rigged up so we're going to go ahead and walk out there and we'll see you guys once we gets into the [Music] Jenny this is my first time fishing out here this year nlbn I'm starting off with the gray one uh my buddy Mario the one that's meeting me out here he let me borrow this Rod 9 foot team daa surf rod cuz I just bought a new BG and I was thinking about what Rod to buy so he's going let me try this out see if I like it and if I like it I'll go to Roy and I'll go buy the same one but I got my van stall vr200 50 lb braid I got a long I don't know five six feet five probably 5T of a 80 lb liter 2 oz jig head and a 5in swimbait I typically don't come fish out here until the springtime man not that it's not good out here during the winter look at how slick these rocks are got to have cleats right now conditions are just way too sporty but yeah I don't really come not here too much in the winter time it kind of just slows down but spring is right around the corner man fishing's fixing to pick up but we're out here today we're going to give it a shot man just going to let it sink a bit this nlbn it's going to be just a straight retrieve got to figure out where these bull RADS are sitting at starting off with the swimbait just cuz I really want to try to catch on the nlbn I've caught fish before I have videos posted where I'm throwing the 3 in had a lot of luck with the 3-in but I have also caught on the on on this big one too just haven't been able to show it on YouTube it's back before I I had a YouTube channel I've caught some Jacks some slot Reds so these lures definitely work it's just time to get it on video I'm a little timid to let it hit bottom just cuz these nlbn are not cheap man luckily Roy started selling them these swimbaits have a lot of action so I'm sure these bullheads will love them probably have to let this ship pass before I make another cast come on oh my god dude R away run out run out run out R away dude second cast let's go bro he's got a lot of energy got to be careful cuz I'm really close to the Rocks doesn't seem too too big loosen up a bit this will be dangerous though I'm by myself I cannot believe second cast he hit it so close to the rocks oh my God I missed this though oh my goodness my heart is pounding oh my God it felt so good to get a bite though oh my gosh that was like my goal today was just to get a bite you know I wasn't expecting ing too too much just cuz of the the conditions I really just wanted to feel a bull red hit my lure oh my god oh my god dude I just had a slot red freaking follow my lure up oh my God I hope you can see that on GoPro it's probably like 10:00 right now I got out here like at 9:30 I wanted to fish from like o I got hit he missed it that was a hit oh missed it again two bites the cleats I'm wearing they're corkers I get asked all the time what cleats corkers buy them on Amazon or off there's website I think I bought these for like 100 bucks off Amazon they come with like spike replacements and they are essential out here especially on days like this all this slippery slippery rocks you can walk on them no problem they might look a little goofy but they are for sure worth the money there we go there we go there we go let him kick out there got one on oh this one feels big left okay all right what's good is he's running he is close to the rock look at that reel TR turn them he don't want to come this way come this way buddy big wave coming too Dam got soak watch out no no no no no God damn it hey you're over my line you cast it over I got it off dude why cast again try keep it high I want him to kick out to the left but he's hugging the rock dude it's a big one freaking getting soaked okay guys so as you can see I've open my bail and the reason for that is I can feel that the fish has taken my line and has rubbed against The Rock and you definitely don't want that that's the reason why I lost that first red so opening the bail like this helps relieve some of the tension and hopefully allows the fish to swim back out into the open wait bro let me get him this way there we go Mario he's coming up bro don't run on me again that get you right there there he is I got him it's not easy to do yeah I need a wave get on the wave I'll let you know I need a wave ah I got it oh yes woo all right and then it'll be in just going let him Dive Right Back uh this guy and his wife she had she was videoing me on her phone reeling that bull red she told me after uh that her husband had uh fished out here with me before I didn't I didn't remember his name but once he walked over and introduced himself I remembered him back before YouTube and everything I mean I fished out here all the time and one day I was hitting the bull Reds out there in the surf side at the tip and his name's William William was out there right next to me and you know I I landed two of them and and so the third one I hooked I I asked him I was like hey you want to reel it in and you know he was just sitting there not really having the best of luck so said sure and I mean I let him reel in that red and that's crazy I I hadn't I think I've seen him like one time after that oh I got bit again there we go and I'll be killing it there we go I keepo this way popped off I think I got my lure back no I didn't damn good one no he h like I think a lot dude right in front of theck earlier after you caught that that first uh slot size I had one come up to my swim B like he literally came up on the Rock he was about to hit it and he just turned off I was like dang right on the rocking it went out open your B ah oh I got hit oh first hit on the black he missed it oh I got hit again two casts in a row ah damn bro back to back they want it they want it missing it back to back C probably like 11 something now I think the B's only going to get better now that we're coming into like lunchtime I just got hit again there we go Mario feel that big probably a slot making him up there he is he's up he's already up that was three casts in a row smaller three casts in a row dude God damn more yes get a quickish he's fat that was the third cast I got to hit in a row all right wait for a wave she goes dang me more we're just chatting right now and middle conversation he hooks up I haven't even I haven't even cast it again I got to help him hit real close again I'll get my rod I'll get it out the way sorry you got him on the spoon huh you got him close no no no no no open open I can't you don't even have a bail how the heck did you do it oh you do that he's kicking out forgot your bail is thanks so if you want to do that you have to literally grab the line yeah oh that's that's scary oh this is not a good area not at all that's that's right where I lost my first one oh well you got this one you got them take your time yeah that's exactly where I lost that first one at Reds are not making it easy on us today I see him you see yeah you got him you got him oh yeah he is I saw him yeah whenever you want to hand the rod off here I'll just grab I'm already soaked okay hold on wait for away get on this which one this one landed I'll get him you got your M no all right I'll be in do it for today's video first Jetty trip of the Year man we killed it got on some nice bull Reds had so much fun man I missed fishing out there on the jetty winter is coming to an end so I say stock
