hello this is Vic welcome to my channel and thank you for viewing my videos today I'm in the beautiful and fascinating old city of Jerusalem I've got something very special to show you we are gonna follow via dolorosa or the road of the serosa we're going to end up here inside the holy church we're gonna visit all 14 stations stations that are known for the different places where Christ picked up the cross where he fell everyone he ended up over here inside the only church he was crucified which is station 12 I'm gonna start from station 1 which is a little bit far from here that's the place where Christ was condemned to crucifixion to death by Pontius Pilatus we're gonna end up in here in this holy church so follow me for this special very important documentary to write a while to videotape what you're going to see today a lot of research was required and also it was very difficult to find all 14 stations enjoy what's coming out this is fake from the Old City of Jerusalem bye bye now I am inside a an Islamic school buses are taking place here today so I had to ask for permission to getting this is where the palace of Pontius Pilatus was located and this is where Christ was condemned condemned to be crucified of course the architecture of the building has changed over the years but according to a gentleman who is a scholar here this is the approximate location where I am now let's take a better look and see the classrooms to my left let's go little it down and get a better view of this location here because this is where the palace was you can imagine Pilate appearing on the balcony somewhere on here and asking the mob below whom he should free this is where Pilate condemned Christ to be crucified this is station number one as I'm walking now Via Dolorosa is to my right over this building that you see the Islamic school now I am exiting now the school and as I'm exiting you will see Via Dolorosa see the crowd of people there working that's Via Dolorosa and I'm going to show you station number two and that's the next one in our tour right across the street right there the Franciscan Church now I am in the central courtyard of the Franciscan Church of the condemnation that's the entry right there and right outside is the Via Dolorosa and this is where station number two is I'm going to turn around we are going to go into the chapel of the flagellation that is dark in there but in there Christ received the cross and got flogged let's go inside the chapel now you will see the Dome of the chapel designed like in 1929 is their wreath of thorns right there and the stained-glass windows here witness the diamond actually represented depict the mob the witness the flogging of Christ let's take another look at the dome this is station number two inside the chopper and here get a real sense here get a real sense and a feeling what Via Dolorosa looks like today as I'm walking towards the third station let's go and here's Station three this is the location where Christ fell for the first time under the weight of their cross now this station is right by an Armenian Church as you go down Via Dolorosa and you take a letter now what as soon as you turn that station of it debris and I'll show you from outside what it looks like now here's the place of station number three from outside the chapel I just showed you is right in there Via Dolorosa is the street where the people are coming out of right there between the two vans and this is exactly the spot would price fell for the first time and here's the Armenian Church right there and from station 3 I'm going down this busy street towards station number 4 let's go and right at this place right here with the J days and were this pink dress is hanging that station up before this is were Christ look at his mother for the first time while carrying a cross right here let's go down that way for station 5 okay now I'm going to leave a word and I'm going to turn back into Via Dolorosa and right here in the corner is where Simon was ordered to help Christ carry the cross and this door here if you look up right there you can see the crosses and this is the spot this is station number five right here and now we're going to go up Via Dolorosa for station number six we're going to go that way right behind the doors that you saw with the crosses here on station five there's a small chapel and I'm inside here's the altar of the chapel with the crucifix above it right there and here's the door by the way the open door here's a chapel very very small you can see Christ here during the cross have been helped and I'm on Via Dolorosa I'm somewhere in the middle going up to the top and this wooden door that you see here marks station number six and this is were Veronica wiped the face of Jesus with a cloth and left an imprint on the cloth right here here's a view of Via Dolorosa which cross most likely followed I had to take carrying a cross let's go find station number seven I am on Via Dolorosa and I want to show you this huge boulders here than rocks when you see the blocks the stone blocks this is a part of the old city walls for Jerusalem so in order for us to proceed to station seven right up there we are going to have to cross a gate which existed here at the old city walls of Jerusalem in other words Jesus at this point cross a gate and exited the city of Jerusalem now we do know that he was crucified outside the city walls that station seven right up there now I'm right on top right at the top of Via Dolorosa here station number seven and this door with a crosses marks the spot where Jesus fell for the second time right there and here's a view of Via Dolorosa from station 7 which is right behind and this is the way that Jesus came up the hill carrying a cross and here's the the end of Via Dolorosa I'm right on top you can see station number 7 right there right in front of us right and here station 8 this is where Christ told the women not to cry for him but to try for themselves for their children their days will go close and look at that sign of cross here's a sign of the Cross station number 8 and if I turn around you will see how steep it is to come up to this point that way okay right now I'm outside the st. Anthony Coptic monastery right there in the distance and this is station number 9 this is where Christ fell for the third time now out of all the stations this is the most difficult one to find if you find a monastery on a map the station is right outside right there station number 9 okay my friends what you're looking at now is the courtyard of the holy church of the sepulchre here in Jerusalem and stations 10 11 12 13 and 14 are inside this holy church and that's a real challenge given the crowds that you see let's go inside and I will do my best to videotape the last 5 of the stations let's do it okay I am now inside the Holy Church and I am upstairs and you're looking at the Franciscan Chapel now what I'm standing now I'm standing about 5 meters away from the altar of the chapel there's a window to my right about 2 meters away this is station 10 station 10 is were Christ were stripped of his clothing this is where I'm standing now if I move towards the outer right here this is station 11 and this is the spot where Christ was nailed to the cross next to the franciscan Chapel there is a Greek Orthodox Chapel that you see here that you see here this is station 12 this is where Christ was crucified right here station 12 you can see part of the rock and this is the exact spot you can see people kneeling and is actually a hole that you can reach over and touch the rock station 12 of course affection of Christ right here one of their holiest sites Christianity you can see my crucifix here and it is placed right on the same spot Christ was crucified now right between station 12 or crisis Crucified right there in the franciscan chapel right here where Christ was nailed to the cross there's station 13 right here and this is where the body of Christ was given to Mary when he was taken down from the cross so let's look for the last time station 11 Christ is nailed to the cross moving from the franciscan Chapel to the green chapel station 12 the crucifixion of Christ and in between station 13 right here his body is taken down from the cross his body is handed over to Mary here and the last station station 14 the tomb of Christ right here the Holy Sepulcher right there inside let's go inside now this is the room just before we entered the room with a tomb of Christ witches down there and here's the tomb of Christ right here and with station 14 in tomb of Christ I would like to conclude this remarkable documentary that I planned during my last visit here to Jerusalem five years ago and I'm very thankful I finally got the video table that 14 stations all the way from station 1 the condemnation of Christ that you saw all they were done to his crucifixion station 12 and 13 and the tomb of Christ station 14 just to let you know he took almost a whole day to videotape everything that you saw it is hard to find every station and we get there huge crowds and it's almost impossible to videotape something but this is impossible to videotape it and to be able to hear your voice over the videotape this is big thank you for joining me in this personal Odyssey of mind all the way from bye-bye
