all right travelers this is historic downtown truckee hello there travelers traveling irishman here in turkey california and today we're going to stop in and eat at the restaurant that was on a episode of diners diners drive-ins and drives and it's called jacks of the tracks and let's check it out it's like an old looking uh they say cable car or whatnot kind of building a little cafe but it's a staple here in in uh chucky california and let's take a tour of it as you can see it's like an old 50s diner sort of like kind of like a cable car okay jacks the tracks [Music] really known for their food so whenever you're in truckee california gotta check this out we'll be checking the food out and give you guys a good answer honest review and see how the food is manny had actually uh known about it from the show and they're also known for their shakes the core well manny so what uh what are we going to be ordering today i can't tell you that i came in here one day and said beignets huh okay i think since it's like lunch time i'm going to be getting uh i'm going to be ordering a uh burger probably brew menu seems pretty cool as i said guys this is we're in chucky california jackson the tracks look at the menu here as i said before it was on an episode of diners drive-ins and dives guy ferrari obviously was here on his show yeah thanks for breakfast i think it's kind of what they're known for is our breakfast fish for the eggs the eggs benedict was one of their things they were it's like a stapler oh so they got chicken tenders crab cake sliders [Music] crumbled and fried zucchini chilled cheese fries made with our award-winning chili and cheddar cheese and sour cream i'll get the barbecue look at this right here if i turn the menu josh where does it talk about guy fieri that was already there yeah yeah so at the bottom it tells what their signature dishes are let's see okay all right so what they're really known for it looks like here it says in their menu it says on the first day the program staff concentrated on still shots of the interior and exterior day two focused on the exciting preparation of the restaurant's signature items kobe meatloaf maryland crab cake eggs benedict and house-made pulled pork sandwiches day three was all about all about capturing jack's friendly ambiance as ferrari interviewed diners about their favorite items who he tried himself he says your guy never eats eggs and his staff had told me this but he tried our eggs benedict and truly enjoyed it haley said with a bit of pride jax is quite proud to have been featured on the show and extremely proud to have you as our guests [Music] well guys part of the food's here we're gonna check out the uh beignets that they have they've got here and their oreo milkshake [Music] all right all right guys let's dig in see how it is we should be in near new orleans it's okay hey at least we're someplace no having the benign it is yeah then you guys can see a little bit it's like a little uh oh they said i've been yeah hello donut i guess fried powdered sugar it's very french you know we're in turkey california it's a lot like beetles so this is uh there's the eggs benedict right there looks very delicious those look good yeah what do we order uh oh this is a fish sandwich right with onion rings very nice traveling duo what did we get she's trying out the oatmeal here apparently i'm still waiting for some food here i ordered a western barbecue burger with french fries we'll definitely have to see how that goes like one big weights for the other oh yeah yeah those uh eggs benefited and they look they look really fabulous the avocado how are they manny yeah biscuits good their english muffins homemade so it's really good yeah it's actually really good and that's blue crab which is what i'm waiting to taste instead of uh instead of like ham or a sausage patty which is why they usually get this food crab very very good well guys my food's here the looks like an awesome barbecue western baker bacon burger french fries let's see how this is [Music] looks like there's some type of sauce on it too looks like something give me the extra hollandaise sauce [Music] excuse me that would be the barbecue sauce good deal really good food it's a really great yeah i'll be eating this and we'll do a review later guys well travelers that completes our experience over here at jackson the tracks in turkey california i think we had really good food and great service atmosphere is pretty cool with the whole cable car situation and so if you ever find yourself in chucky california definitely stop on here and support the local business of jack of the tracks dinosaur versus drivers were here have a good time safe travels
