James May roasts YouTubers' cars!

hello I'm James May some reason I've been asked to assess some YouTube influences wheels and we start with Jason fence key areas and his Tesla Model 3 look at him there with his upbeat American ways and his perfect teeth and his model 3 he did buy an original base model 3 I think when they came out and then he decided that wasn't good enough he swapped it for that one which is the performance version with the big battery and I think that's actually a pretty good choice it's a poor color I think red is a very poor color for the model 3 but I like his videos and I like Tesla's I'm interested in electrical I can't really roast that girl Jess on your big knobby you've bought a Tesla because I like them he's also got he sold his s2000 I believe is that right what did he buy his had a Sabari well that's quite interesting as well I mean he knows what he's talking about he's a clever bloke so yeah I'm not roasting him and he's messing up a bit right TJ hunts Ferrari for five eight gt3 now I know the story of this it's not a real gt3 racing car as was it's a 4 5 a - Talia that he bought I believe is a bit of a wreck that had some sort of shunt and then he's put gt3 body parts on it like the front that they're all packer the front you know the chin the wheels and so on and it's I mean it's very well done not going to deny that but I think it's a little bit flashy because it's not actually true it's a little bit like reproduction furniture or vegan cheese also mate you're gonna knock the front off within 10 minutes and that spoiler on the back is a little bit ooh tray that is a sport and now it's a wing actually technically that's a wing because I could get my head under it those the rules are they not ten out of ten per effort you've done a very good job but only four out of ten for taste oh yes Adam L Z's Nissan 370z zero as he would call it now he's cut a a twin-turbo something or other in this and I think he develops something like 850 or 900 horsepower nanos he claims that has a beam on the lie detector as you know that it's true I think it's nearly killed him a couple of times doesn't it he looks like it should kill him and it looks like he might be grateful for it actually yeah I mean yeah but no the bonnet doesn't fit the hood I should say never have your engine exposed seen through glass yes Ferrari 360 this is a nice car it's one of the Ferraris that does look right in red weirdly I'm gonna I'm gonna have difficulty dissing that it's it's it's an old model but it's old enough to be cool now I think I thought it had rather a nice face the 360 some people said it was a bit bland I thought it was nice he's got the right wheels on it he hasn't mucked about with it it's standard so ya seen through glass I don't even know your real name what is his real name Sam that's it yes and it's a manual I've just been told I didn't know that and that is very good because there's early f1 gearbox is that was only the second v8 Ferrari to have them the first being the f355 f1 and they were a little bit they were a bit of an sort of an act of faith so stick with the manual later ones I would say four or five eights on with the twin clutch have the paddles yeah actually Sam nice motor sweet whip cool wheels whoo supercars of London I'm beginning mature lager or machala go but still a debate going on up about that after was it 12 years or something I yeah I mean it's a Lamborghini they are showing over three race bred substance etc but should we really care about that in the modern world I don't think we should I think we should care about what it looks like because the aesthetic is ultimately triumphant and I do think that was always I mean it's to fan it's too big but it is a good-looking car the shape of that nose is just tremendous and that color is it's a bit strong and it's a bit bathroom you're a flashget supercars of London but it is actually quite good it's not a Ferrari 710 Jimmy brought Benz r32 skyline gt-r now the skyline I mean it's a cult car it has a cult following it has an interesting history it's a very very significant Japanese performance saloons stroke coupe a I don't disapprove of it in any way whatsoever I think it's quite interesting but that would be nine out of ten but he's marked down massively for putting the model code name at the beginning are thirty two two out of ten strap means Ferrari f430 challenge now this is interesting because I had an F for thirty ingredie Tonya and it's I mean it's an old one now but it's a nice car it's a nice Ferrari this is not a fake they did make the Challenge Stradale of the 430 ie the road-going version of the challenge race car stripped out lightened more expensive and all the other things this is a real one this is a real challenge race car from the race series that he has made road-legal have I got that right I happened that yes I do know a bit about this and I think that's that's quite clever I can't believe is entirely legal and again it's quite an interesting color interesting in the way that my dad would say interesting which is a way of saying I don't like it what's wrong with the road going one it's a very nice car and I would imagine less money in reality than doing this it's well done it's good doesn't have any place in the modern world I'm afraid mr. jww the Ferrari f12 TDF now am I allowed to say I have a Ferrari fan I still have one I have two in fact come to think of it I don't think the f12 is a very good-looking car does anybody else yes I'm getting nods interesting because I liked the 599 I really liked the six one to scale yet d which is a Ferrari that most people have forgotten about if they have a knew about it in the first place and most people thought it was funny looking I thought it was fabulously contemporary and very very very cool so yes he's also wearing a tracksuit top wrong Ferrari sorry doc doom euros for GT I yeah I like Doug I like Doug a lot Doug is great you can see where this is going can't you the thing about there's a few things about the forge one it's a tribute car I don't really like that I don't like retro styling it was too big and it has a deeply unpleasant association with Jeremy Clarkson and we know the rules about cars supercars especially if any of us own than they are not cool so dr. Moreau no incorrect choice Harry Metcalf who is sometimes no not five people like me because I'm old enough to know better but amongst the young people he's known as the I think you call him something like the YouTube card dad is that right granddad are you getting this Harry this he was Mike Dabney talking I like Harry a lot he's a good bloke he's lent me his cars many times and actually I he had he was involved in the development of this car the Jaguar XE sv project eight and I think I haven't had to go in it although I have seen him tooling around in various versions of it I think it's a ridiculous car and a slightly silly idea and it does have a wing but it's got gold wheels and as we know the best people have gold wheels on their car my main complaint here is that it's dirty Harry see what I did there so I'd say those have a quick recap going all the way through those Jason's Tesla yes TJ hunts Ferrari with the gt3 thing yes bit suspect Adam LZ well he's lucky to be alive with that thing so all credit I'm on that yes the 360 seen through glass that's standard to be like that yeah supercars of London the Lambo Myrcella go that's it's sort of cool even if it's a bit crap the skyline is marked down for having the model code number on it strap mans f430 challenge that seems like a mad idea to me but you know if that floats your boat the f12 mr. J WWE's mates with seen through glasses knee they go off driving supercars together I think it's the wrong Ferrari because I think they're ugly Doug's Ford GT I can see why I loves it it's just you know doesn't give me the face I'm afraid Harry Metcalfe's dirty car that's just a picture of a dirty car taken somewhere okay I'm gonna pick a favorite that's what I'm expected to do it's going to be it's quite tricky actually bit boring I suppose I'm gonna I'm gonna pick the Ferrari 360 seen through glasses Ferrari 360 standard nice color combination obviously loved correct wheels all those things I like that you think Ferrari knew what they were doing when they designed that car and he's left it alone there that be a lesson to all of you anyway thank you for watching do let us know like comment subscribe while do let us know in the comments below which other influences cars you think we should look at and also let me know what you think of these tell me which one is your favorite I mean if you don't pick the 360 you're wrong but you know it's a free world it's the Internet it encourages debate but you're wrong you

I still love the fact that Jimmy has an R32, a wicked fast turbo Miata, an easily 15k sim rig between all the bits and bobs, yet still lives in a shed. I know it's for family matters, but still, he's living the dream.
