Jackie Chan is INSANE in *POLICE STORY*

hey everyone today we're checking out a Jackie  Chan film I think that these were before he kind   of started making movies here in America this  is police story we know that he's most known   I don't say most known but I know this is  a very prominent one and then also Drunken   Master I believe is the other one I know a lot  of people have been recommending for us to watch   some of Jackie Chan stuff specifically  some of his older stuff yeah and here we I don't know what that means I'm assuming  he's a cop probably the other Jackie Chan   films we've seen are Rush Hour Shanghai Noon  uh he was in the remake of Karate Kid he was   like yeah I don't think he was playing Mr  Miyagi I don't think it was like a read   complete Universe well we saw that one yeah  so I've seen that one I'm pretty sure there's   some other ones I feel like with Jackie Chan  there's like a comedic Flair to him as well as   just like you know his martial arts I know he's  very famous for doing all of his own stunts yes   I think he choreographed choreographer how do  you say that choreographs choreographs way too   difficult I might be mistaken but he may have  directed this film yeah writer director star   he's like the triple threat right there written  directed and starred in police I do know that   Jackie Chan was pretty instrumental in just the  martial arts move movie scene specifically kind   of the whole you know genre of Comedy martial  art action type yeah we've been trying to get   more back into martial arts films we went through  an arc on this channel a couple years back where   we watched Kung Fu Hustle it man onbach The  Raid so we saw a lot of films we recently   just watched Bloodsport which was really  fun but now now it's time for police story thank you thank you so we're doing a mission with Jackie okay we're getting prepared cheers foreign hunt you don't get much time to remember yes  I have a photographic memory a lot oh   he spotted the damn Europeans get him Jackie  he spotted him spot him spot the earpiece oh no oh oh jaggy hey yo he didn't do it I know he  gave you some time before he actually put   hands on him he he did he hid her glasses  off he didn't hit her face oh my gosh are they gonna have a thing not  with a Criminal Forbidden Love I honestly can't tell if  only the cops and who were   like the criminals here because  they're all in street clothes cut yourself bro oh my God oh my gosh we're  all on edge bro you do not need to be here or buddy this dude is [ __ ] Frozen you need to  freaking get out of here you're just   gonna get somebody else hurt or killed  you're not even looking bro oh my gosh but I mean he kind of needs him though you know   it's like you're in the middle of it  you can't just phone it in right now oh gosh oh you got it wrong just make it through today dude just  make it through today and then reevaluate your   life hand in your resignation after  it's okay it's just not meant for you like everywhere is blocked go off the cliff is  that what they're doing Fruit Stand oh [ __ ] what the heck it was like this way's block  we're gonna go through everything what the hell that is wow I'm still going the car what the  heck that's like some Grand Theft Auto type   [ __ ] that's crazy like it's oh my gosh dang I  did not see that coffee I mean I thought they'd   go down the hill but I didn't think I'm gonna  run through everybody to get down there oh man   they did go down a hill indeed wow oh [ __ ] he  always says like the most intense look on his face wow and the fact that he does  his own stunts is just insane   oh is that gonna reach more concerned  with this umbrella holding my weight yeah   oh [ __ ] oh no they're not gonna stop bro  get out the way move they ran through a   village they don't give a [ __ ] about like some  freaking workers they'll run through anything it's like there's no traction oh [ __ ] oh  he got traction oh no we lost tracks well   that sucks I didn't expect for that to be Oh I  thought he was gonna get in he's not giving up whoa that's some confidence for them to stop as I go through them go through everything that's why you always wear your seatbelts kids right to be in a minute I was just thinking  that this is the drugs or the money how the movie goes nah he's not taking it oh he's getting promoted this is all happening so fast  so are you talking so much what really why yeah at the end of this press  conference just be like I am Iron Man they're like the pictures that are gonna be  taken for the recruitment poster yeah pretend Ed is he like are they posing like this you're way too close to that dartboard or something maybe he's gonna try to kill her in  prison kill her from prison I mean I forgot how to say his name Kaku Kiku I probably  said that's so wrong I'm sorry I'm just calling   Jackie you're ruining the immersion so is he gonna  be kind of like her bodyguard then because they're   gonna try to you know so she can't speak out  against him yeah so he's like her bodyguard after they already had their little issues I feel like they're gonna have  some sort of thing foreign what's going on here so weird why is everybody just  why are they acting natural   random [ __ ] like they're just like killing time so that was either for Jackie or  the lawyers like I think it's to   like act like they told her something  okay big ass tape recorder see it's   because they didn't say anything and  then she's like he's gonna be like what   but like maybe the lawyer won't trust her  some 40 chests going on right here well   what the lawyer probably be in with the um but  like oh they were talking to her you know huh yeah so it is for the boss the attorney if  they're really trying to make it seem like   she is cooperating so that they try to  kill her so that they have that on and   then kind of force her into that corner  you know it's gonna be about her yeah so he's gonna try to take her out oh who's Danny  oh Danny's the take care guy but this is gonna   force her to be that witness because she's  like not gonna have anywhere to turn because   she's like thinks nothing's gonna happen to  her like oh I'm fine they're not gonna do it that's a nice little she's gonna close the close if I was in the  situation I would be happy to have a bodyguard   but I guess she really doesn't think oh is  this Danny oh it's already happening Danny   Works fast like I said she's just so confident  that no one's gonna try to kill her but like   you know who you worked for she's not thinking  about like that whole instance of like being   in that room by herself with the cops what  her boss would think about yeah she's like but now she's gonna not be afraid of  somebody actually here he's in the closet what the hell mass is this you didn't want help oh I didn't clear your face I mean if you're  gonna kill her anyway it doesn't matter and if you're gonna kill him does it even  matter like he's not doing a very good job   assistant man you're the worst hit man he's  like watched one too many serial killers I'm starting to question this whole criminal  operation like why do you have this guy under   your employment as like your go-to guy for  killing he's like trying to toy with her   but it's not really working he's like also  flaking his body all around the damn place what are you doing finally oh what he just waves him on  in dude do you think that was   you know what this is one of the cops  isn't it was it like yeah it is okay oh   I don't wonder yeah yeah okay it's meant to be  like he's coming and kill you so Danny okay I   understand now Danny's gonna be a [ __ ] Stone  Cold killer this was just to like why he was   acting so like stupid and like I'm gonna get you  okay makes more sense now that took us way too   I was trying to like you know intimidate her a  little bit cut the phone cord yeah what is Danny I mean Danny is going to show up at some point stay up oh [ __ ] just take him out  the door already it's oh my God well now she already saw his face no wonder he  was so worried about her seeing his face foreign again she was just holding it cute this is cute this feels kind of like rom-commy Channel or is this a trap by Daddy  this is another one oh yeah Danny just pulled out all the stuff I  know he's not some knife-willed in guy   silly person who's gonna like stab a picture and  like worry about his mask oh he kicked him glass wow oh [ __ ] yeah use those strong legs oh whoa that  was cool okay no you're good you're good for the jacket with the gun on it  shoot him no we need that get the gun shoot him shoot him through the jacket  oh yeah I don't want to [ __ ] play no no she's worse than that guy who pissed himself   hey but she's not a cop though but she works  for gangsters not long enough obviously oh   my God you just shot him too get the  gun go get the gun from her foreign this is like so Jackie Chan yeah I've been working for him for a  couple months so she didn't know this is a party a surprise what timing it's your  birthday okay this is a bad time for a birthday   because you just brought this oh they're like oh her outfit who is that to  you is that your girl yeah I'm assuming oh well hey maybe you're  single now for the rom-com element s that's not her that's probably somebody else oh okay never mind everybody  likes throw cake in space never coming back he doesn't even care how often does this happen  that was at the May oh awkward love triangles um gonna leave again oh my God oh my gosh yeah this relationship's over um something else he still doesn't see her this is so awkward why why oh my gosh look around bro how are you like this  crazy fighter he can't notice her there yeah that's over we have so many cakes I know you  think it's a Steve Aoki concert   yeah if it wasn't over before it's definitely  over now that doesn't explain what you said you keep making it worse and  worse and worse oh my God oh my gosh she's gonna like [ __ ] crash  oh [ __ ] just let go let go let go let go okay all right I don't think  we're gonna see her again oh the guy she saw his face oh [ __ ] but she's   gonna think that it's all a set  up but that second one wasn't no   she's gonna like make him think that it's not uh  oh oh but she's doing this for her benefits yeah yeah what kind of Seduction is this hello you ruin his cactus not reading these signs all right he understood that one they got  over may already too you're not questioning   this so this is like guy logic like why  did you change your tune all of a sudden you are subject your pride and joy  yeah she's gone her sleep attire like did it in China in the 80s they still  wore those wigs like we did in the 1700s I   know what was the purpose of those wigs  to be honest powdered wigs I don't know   like like I want to know who's the person  who decided to be like this [ __ ] is fire okay damn that's an amazing  parking job like a glove   I can literally try to bribe me with  an entire suitcase full of money hey she's still supporting him  after everything dang oh gosh he's trying my cousin Vinnie  this [ __ ] oh my gosh foreign damn they're bringing out big ass speakers to  hear this [ __ ] what is it gonna catch is it   gonna catch like his [ __ ] conversation with  his ex or not his execas she's still here unless   you're getting more embarrassed because it's gonna  play in the courtroom hopefully something recorded   oh no she record over it Selena all right okay oh no amazing oh out of context how this sounds foreign foreign guys how is she still with him he's acting like a 16 year old girl right now I feel like that's an important call I know oh my gosh should it be in charge of the phones newer traveling who's he gonna like respond to stressing me out  he's gonna say something horrible to me yeah oh I feel like May heard that oh oh that was so chaotic pencils oh do not have to answer any calls  I feel like there's gonna be a lot   of people who are going to be uh needing  help yeah ill would it still be a racery did you just eat the erasers laughs you already swallowed it oh my God  are you choking oh my God I'm just   trying to like get it up there's  another phone you forgot about to come out oh man um oh the brakes broken May is so  understanding I know no May deserves more where's your car oh yeah say something man you suck this is the  fumbles those are obsolete now anyway not the 80s the taxes he like stopped on  the dime so deal with my car and she still said be careful she's in love  I feel like we completely missed with the   whole Selena him being a thing I know that was  nothing at all through everything humiliation   and everything like dang May humiliated  multiple times like I said different people she   should today a lot of it is just misunderstanding  that is true but he's still every but he did talk [ __ ] dude that happened  something's about to happen someone's got to   jump out I feel like she's gonna die oh [ __ ] is  freaking leaked oh oh Selena's gonna die they're   gonna take his gun and then he's gonna have  to freaking oh that was so close to the window oh whoa whoa that wasn't nice tumbling yeah uh I don't think he's getting out of this  oh no no but it's not he's part of it the Betrayal and then they're  gonna use your gun and shoot her he's gonna kill both wow oh so it wasn't even to kill her have you played  yourself bro it's funny because I'm laughing   but like you caused this get off of me yeah you  betrayed me you're still with his gun though now how deep is it I mean you don't  really have another Choice do   you he's about to fling you off the building yeah I hope I'm sure she is yeah your turn the leap   oh oh it was just to protect her  give her a chance to get away this is like chloroform so where does the  story go from here if they got him I know   it's gonna fall into Selena's  hand is there a sequeline how's this guy the captain he looks  younger than anyone he looks like a child dang May was really a ride  or die she's stuck around um we're going to prove your innocence dang he really wanted to give no benefit  of the dollars Break Free get the gun   Captain sucks now you're implicating yourself  you just pointed the gun at everybody here videos his way out of this the captain's a little [ __ ] I have  no idea how he got elevated to his role I mean like I said if you weren't  implicated before you for sure are now like it's already too late taking a hostage point  of your gun at everybody he's a desperate man wow I mean at this point you know that's all they  could really do though he took him hostage I mean you called in the Sharpshooters for a   reason I don't know if you can just  tell everyone take it easy this camp us I'll leave him here come again um okay in the end he came through he gave him a  head start I was talking mad [ __ ] I was   like done with this guy he was all kind  of calm cool collected the whole time go   back to your desk job I have no idea  how you got here at such a young age May is still here trying  to feed him and everything it's like the main guy's [ __ ]  office he has a picture of her I   mean I kind of figured he was infatuated with her that's why he was so hesitant  to like you know take her out those are some bright lights haha computer stealing my data she stole his data all those papers  it's so funny to think about it in   terms of like modern times you know yeah  it's like I stole your data paperwork oh use the escalator oh [ __ ] I feel like that's another  thing with uh Jackie Chan films is he   uses his environment to like fight get that data   oh [ __ ] no witness to multiple things all  the people I know the department store oh my   God he's like stuck between the two escalators  that's terrifying oh no not the data oh [ __ ] oh that guy I was like what happened  he's not even checking on the guy   who fell through it he's just  looking at the hole he created oh thing and they have the papers oh [ __ ] damn now he's using the rack oh clutch oh my God he's fighting like how  many people I don't even know at   this point at least four right here right or three wow that's crazy oh whoa I feel like if Jackie Chan's in it you know  the action is gonna be really good yeah oh that looked painful through the glass oh damn oh that was like Double Glass hit  was there a motorcycle in this book   oh that was convenient use the motorcycle  and get away okay yeah just do that   oh my gosh so much glass so  much glass to be broken oh okay where's the data there it is he was here amazing very involved May is a real one operation go get how dare you yeah [ __ ] you chew no she was like the nicest one in this movie why  would you have like your girlfriend be involved   in this like I get her harboring you but like  go get that briefcase from all these gangsters oh [ __ ] wow oh whoa I don't know  about that like no three times okay I feel like you know you know artistically  you probably could have showed the same thing   from three different angles cutting through  it not three times in a row but still it was   it was cool they wanted to really make  sure you saw it in case you looked away   or anything no this is like a really  badass stunt so we need to make sure foreign was that the attorney he's like I  got something to get you out of this he has seen and try to be a lawyer honestly  [ __ ] slap this guy you're a menace to society no he does not care anymore at all good luck  being a lawyer from freaking the hospital   bed oh [ __ ] he does not give a [ __ ]  whoa oh my God they're just like foreign but I think maybe it'll continue yeah the next  one I feel like they I mean they kind of for   the most part wrapped up this storyline I  feel like it'll be a different storyline   yeah but what is it gonna be like well I  guess they said they didn't see anything   so I'm just gonna go back to being a police  officer all the stunts they did this in like   uh in rush hour too when they showed like  Jackie making all like uh we're not making   all but doing all the stunts there were a lot  of crazy things and how they had to roll that   [ __ ] scene going down the hill was like  probably the most shocking the bloopers uh-huh the phone scene these bloopers feel  like the rush hour bloopers too to be honest I get nervous on that one I don't  know I was getting like nervous   for him knowing that he's damn well good but still like how you need to go through this  glass it is crazy to be able to write   act like Star direct and do stunts  in one movie that's a lot of work   oh damn oh oh my gosh she got really hurt I mean  he did a lot of crazy [ __ ] oh that's scary I   mean he probably gets hurt a lot obviously  it's kind of crazy to think about how like he   just flung his body around so much this is the  the shot that we saw three different scenes of that seemed to me still like going down that Hill  running through all those buildings I don't think   I've ever seen something like that before and  it's not something I expected while we were   watching it I feel weird because this movie ended  so abruptly I thought we'd get a little bit more   of a conclusion like seeing like the main guy go  to jail but no we just got like to see him get   the [ __ ] beat out of him and then just ended  they just went with the round of you know what and then I'm like and then of course the superiors  were like well we didn't see anything like lawyer   as well yeah I don't even care if everybody gets  these fists I have these hands but yeah I really   liked it I feel like you know this humor from  Jackie Chan I think that it was interesting to   see how that you know the way he acted you could  really see that translate it over to like American   Film as well like there were so many moments in  here that I kind of was taken back to rush hour   even like when he was on the bus Holding On by the  umbrella he was like running on top of the cars   that was like a scene that they Incorporated  in I think it was like rush hour two I don't   know if it was the first one and then also uh the  bloopers at the end were rare very reminiscent of   like how they ended it in rush hour as well yeah  you could definitely see how he influenced a lot   and like he kind of almost created a lot of this  style yeah and it's really cool it's funny because   like we were completely wrong on the Selena thing  it was May till the end she was there with him   so loyal I really enjoyed this movie but the  thing that took me out of it was that scene   at the end where he like slid down the pole in  the mall that like they showed the exact same   scene but from three different angles I don't  know who the editor was but I feel like you   know just showing it at like okay here's when he  jumped on and then the middle part and then when   he ended but no they really wanted to emphasize  Jackie did this stun and you're gonna watch it   three damn times from three different angles  because they couldn't determine what was the   best angle I wonder if that's what he got hurt in  maybe I mean he definitely got hurt that's what   it looked like yeah like they were like tending  to him in a in a moment of need there it's kind   of crazy to see like the stunts that he's oh  yeah and just like everything it's he did it   himself it's just wow I feel like the only other  person that you know is a more of a mainstream   actor that you hear does their own stunts just  as much as like Tom Cruise yeah Tom Cruise does   some crazy [ __ ] that dude's an adrenaline  junkie he's literally like held onto the side   of a plane and done some other crazy [ __ ] I  know in those Mission Impossible movies I he's   done a lot which is funny because we've actually  never really seen the Mission Impossible movies   I feel like I've seen one at some point in time  but uh yeah I know that he's done a lot of crazy   stuff well let us know if y'all want to see us  react to the sequel to police story or Drunken   Master yeah or drunken master or any other of  Jackie Chan's movies or any other martial arts   movies as well but this has been fun we're getting  back into martial arts movies again so
