janet todd was able to find the victory but katrina learned a lot at that match-up and one of the things she learned is she wasn't really comfortable at that weight so now she is moving up to straw weight and she feels great at this weight and she's really ready to put on the performance that she believes she's capable of she looks absolutely ripped stripped and striated when she bought jenna johnny jojo she did not look like this she looks prepared yeah she is she is focused she has a good game plan but what she needs to do is she needs to keep her distance she cannot allow bruton to run circles around her she needs to hit her get bontan to stay in place and then start laying those kicks in and also utilize a jab because she has a great jab and she needs to utilize the length on her girl then you realize the massive potential of this young lady jack bunzo from the usa main training partner of world champion shannon todd jackie bouton is just tremendous and a lot of her skills come from her speed but her boxing is really high level ladies and gentlemen look at the angles that when she's laying out wonder girl like that she comes from circular angles but she can also come right up the middle and she's got just a really diverse skill set but what i really like about her is her speed there's coach brian hope joy getting her ready to make that walk inside the circle and i just like the swag that she comes out with she's got confidence she's ready to go rich yeah i'll tell you what she i always the approach to the circle is where you can tell where an athlete's head is opponent out and you can see that she's having just a little bit of trouble with van der yava's range here but when she is utilizing rich though she's utilizing those faints and she's getting a reaction out of andrew eva and it's kind of telling her exactly what she's going to be doing once she starts throwing these shots absolutely and that's going to pay dividends talk to a straight right hand there from buntan her combination work against wonder girl vertex was sublime this one a one super serious muay thai contest striking only no ground game in four ounce gloves no margin ferreira one minute 15 remains first of three right hand misses there for bandar yeva not so the low kick from bunta bhutan's starting to touch her up with that leg kick and she's also getting in and out of distance yeah she comes in she flurries and then she's out van there you have it needs to get some respect you need to start putting that jab out there and utilize that reach front kick from under clinch there if i was her even though i have that reach advantage i might i might be using that reach to close the distance and start utilizing that clinch get on the inside and then disengage land your scoring points get out of range does her best work when she throws the combination and then finishes with the low kick when she just throws one shot at a time she's enabling that continue to see where it's coming from because the distance end of the first round we go to the towels once again there are three judges circle side who are scoring this one round by round on what's called a 10-point must system you give the winner of the round 10 points you give the less dominant fighter nine points so mitch let's take a look at what went down in this round then we'll go to richard's scorecard yeah it was interesting the way that they're trying to adjust to the range and the distance of each other and katrina is trying to keep her at the end trying to finalize those kicks i liked her pressure in the beginning of that round jackie is coming in and out she's doing good work just kind of closing in blurring and then getting back out rich yeah i i have that katrina actually controlling the first half of the round there but as the round went on you talked about those faints those fates started to pay off a little bit for jackie in the end she was able to put punches together more in combinations in my mind i have the rounds split a little bit so i'm gonna go 10-10 on this round for these girls second round of three inside the singapore indoor stadium it's one on reach far better than wonder girl did against buntan wonton hasn't gotten to the inside so far we're almost a minute down in this second round refusing to give up center circle here under the events hand from bunton looking for the jaw of vandalia then the davis throwing a lot of kicks and that's exactly what we expected her to do because of that long reach that she's got jackie's got to try to get in a little bit tighter i like the way she's throwing that straight right hand to the body and you can see van dijk kind of shrug that off i'd like to see boonton go body and then back up to the head and then finish with the legs turning back into the five from vandalia but that was the technique made famous by uh andy hoog in k1 he used that technique and turning back kick to the thigh to knock out mike bernardo and win the k1 world grand prix i think that right hand of vander dieve is starting to do a little bit of damage to jackie boonton champ two from bhutan vander yev is doing a great job of using her range here with her kicks but the only way she's catching jackie is when jackie's actually coming in to close the distance she's unable to capitalize it on on the back side though landing multiple piece combinations you see there like jackie does a great job of evading these punches right hand to right outside fire kick the air from van dareva in the second round i think it's been a good round here for ekaterina overhand right again see that's beautiful though the way boonton gets in like that she comes straight in she fires about three pieces and then immediately she circles out she's not there for the counter she's incredibly fast but she just hasn't picked up the volume yet i think she's still worried about that big right hand thrown by katrina and also these leg kicks you can see the the superficial damage on that lead leg of bunton don't forget folks at 10 pm eastern in the usa live on tnt our main card three fights including paul mark khan and kyogre show that touched up the face of bhutan that's what echotrina needs to do a little bit more of she needs to be more aggressive because right now rich it could be anybody's game or is it too old no i i tell you what i gave this round to vanda yeva and you saw it in that first replay there when she landed the right hand she's laying in the counters on boomtown's entries she's but she's boomtown is so good at actually getting back out and exiting but she's not catching her on the way out so that's where she's landing the bulk of her strikes so right now you can see a little bit of damage on katrina's nose there but you can see the the blood coming out of moontan's nose a little bit of accumulated damage damage is our highest scoring category so who do you give it to oh this round go definitely goes to vander ye but we're talking about minimal damage ready ready [Music] give it to mitch you're putting rich on the fence every time who do you give it to because he's the vice see van dijk is touching up that lead leg of boonton and she's also getting her on the entry as boonton approaches to try to close that distance that's where katrina's throwing that leg kick and she's doing some damage to it hasn't been much clinch work tonight where either lady has managed to get off the knees or the elbows left hook misses outside by kick was nice to the top part of the thigh there from buntan goes body and head off the right hand high kick was caught it looks for a low sweep nicely done from jackie boone she's got great timing but she's having a hard time with this reach her approach just isn't quite the same she's not throwing the volume that she threw against wonder girl and i think it's because of that counter right hand and also those leg kicks as well but that was a beautiful combination landed by boonton i love it when she mixes up the body and the head with her leg shots that right there look at that body head goes to the leg misses one but gets you with the other last 20 seconds or so has been a good scoring portion for jackie boontown the 23 year old this is what bouta needs this is what she needs she's increased the volume she could take it she's got 30 seconds to put in work but ekatrina could do the exact same thing one big shot now i do want to say folks there are no draws in one super series so if rich franklin was to give the last round to jackie bunton it would be a draw in his scorecard but he would have to choose a winner there are no draws there are no extension rounds in one super series good right hand from a nice elbow from punta and steal the final round outside leg kick from buntan and we are going down to the judges i'll tell you what this is going to be razor close because it may have been a drawn first round i believe under here between the second buntan the third which makes it a draw technically on our scorecards which i think you're agreeing with yeah i haven't scored the same way i gave that last round to boom time but i will say this you know mitch and i had a little debate about who he gave the first round to bhutan i had it as a draw but if i got to pick a winner on this one obviously because we we now have a you know 1919 score 29-29 score i would have to choose montana on this so this is all going to boil down to how the actual judges probably see that first round that was in that third round she started to find her rhythm she was more aggressive and she also threw more volume but that katrina did slow down a little bit in that third round so i think it's one one round a piece and two and three but then that first round that's gonna be the one that's most important was it the first part of the round that went to echo trina or was the latter part of that first round that went to jackie boonton tough call yeah in this third round that's exactly why i gave blunt on the round you saw it in the replays there she was able to put her punches together in combinations and she did it several times during that round on top of that making van der yava miss way more often so they're taking some time to consider the winner circle side which tells me that the judges are having some talent she is so young so gifted technique speed and power for jackie bunta [Music] todd no doubt will be watching this one in the usa jumping out of her seat right now and it looks like the dragon is going to have a chat with barbie but in just a moment shaking her head at the announcement of the decision vandava i wonder why she thought she won i'm sure mitch will find out [Music] katrina you seemed a little bit disappointed with that result why do you believe you won the match already and according to all the rules that i know i supposed to win this match it was an impressive performance and we can't wait for your return thank you sorry catherine of andrea but disappointed she believes she deserved to win that one and we're gonna have a talk now with the winner jackie bunton but you've gotta wonder how a rematch of this one may play out that would be interesting indeed it was very close it was razor close it really could have gone either way but the three judges scoring on a 10-point must system gave it to majority decision for jackie bunton okay he's now mitch with jackie jackie impressive performance you were moving well in and out not quite the volume that we're expected to see from you how do you feel the match played out um yeah she did a you know fantastic job keeping her range with me as compared to her last fight with janet um i feel like i had a little issue getting my own range but i feel i was able to pick it up and score more in the second and third round overall happy but there's always improvement room for improvement well that's the way we felt in the booth we definitely saw that you increased your volume in the second and third you were utilizing your faints did anything surprise you in there yeah like i mentioned um i mean i expected she'd have a different game plan this time around but she did a great job keeping her range keeping me far knowing when to back out when i come in but yeah overall you know i was able to make adjustments towards the end well i know you want to keep active during 2021 so how soon can we expect to see you back inside the circle oh man whenever you guys want me i guess give me like a week to
