what I want to make is that judgment has to do to put it bluntly with whether you get the results you want or not and I wanted to show you a very quick DVD of Jack Welch probably many of you heard of because he's been an icon of American business head of GE for over 20 years and a number of magazines said the bathroom that he was the leader than the best manager of the century which is pretty overdrawn but he's very interesting leader and I think you'd be interested in how he looks at results and they're different from the measures you might look at but in the way they have a lot in common I wonder Johnny if you could show that DVD now of mr. Welch this is about two minutes long if I had three measurements you told me I had to run this company and I can only have three measurements here's what that day that be customer satisfaction employees satisfaction in cash flow you give me three measurements I'll run a business that will win big because if I've got great customer satisfaction I'm gaining share I've got an employee satisfaction I'm getting productivity and if I'm getting cash flow the whole system's working it's a simple game and all the other stakeholders then would be satisfied like your shareholders your board members you know what up everybody wins those they measure instead of all this gobbly bureaucracy measuring everything measuring the corners of this and the corners of that those three things you win with those and you've got it you think that's applicable to most of the American industry now G is alone I mean I mean what else is there let's take your business tell me about your you know yeah are you customer satisfied are you employee satisfied after design I'm not so sure but those are the answers yeah windows the questions on thank you I mean your marketability is how are your customers how they feel about it how does the team that works you feel about working for what kind of atmosphere I agree and then how's your cash for one I mean you didn't get that tan with bad cash flow
