J-Truck Paradise! Visit to Jeeps Unlimited

welcome to a quick episode of dr bob's last chance garage i'm over here at jeeps unlimited i'm in cumberland rhode island and as you can see we got a couple of j trucks over here some really nice ones but they also got a lot of j-truck parts so let me show you what they got around here what i'm taking home today keep my j-20 running first off in the bed replacement fuel tank mine is cracked right around the return hose line on the tank this one came out of a good truck it's going to be leak-free second here's my old headliner you could tell it had the typical staple screw repairs but that wasn't doing it because the foam had separated from the fabric you can recover that or find a 30 000 mile truck used as a plow truck its whole life and jeeps unlimited here has a replacement headliner for me that fits perfectly matches color-wise and everything not only that parts they got trucks and boy do they have trucks how about an 8 900 mile gladiator with a 327 rhino grill original untouched everything in this engine compartment aside from maintenance items or where it's 50-year plus life look at this thing all the paint on the firewall resistors for the heater factory steering column painted the same color as the interior vigilante 327 two barrel v8 out of the rambler and look at these factory factory uh bolts here look at that panel's originally painted black for the interior of the engine got a cheap washer bag original ross cam and lever steering probably original alternator original air cleaner original heater box and most importantly rust free look at these rocker panels stored inside its whole life look at those frame rails look back here at the factory splined axle attached to the hub with that castle nut and cotter pin take a look at that factory body mount just a thin piece of reinforced rubber factory exhaust hanger and the underside of that bed and the paint in that cab that didn't see the sun immaculate post mounted springs on the side of the frame was used as a work truck in a mine so they have the jerry can holders in the back for extra fuel those single sided beds they don't have an inner inner uh bedside to protect the outer side from getting dented by what you've got in the cargo liner here cargo here look at that wheel well and look at that solid look at that tailgate solid almost unheard of here mud flaps and hitch original tail lights of course one's got a crack but all intact straight little bow out there by the front fender probably bumped into something at some point but rust free all the way around four speeding right here gold dash instrument cluster what a beauty look at this multi-piece headliner sun visor on one side not on the other that's how they came look at that gladiator with the data plate 3406 x 102258 6000 pound gross vehicle weight that's the original gladiator for you look at those pedals they have not seen a lot of wear less than 9 000 miles of wear on these all used on a job site at a mine amazing over here how about an x military m715 all its military equipment on the engine still intact 24 volt generator military spec waterproof plugs fuel pump cast loom cam cover on this toronado a tornado engine not toronto that's oldsmobile heater kit i guess you didn't need a heater in vietnam so the heater kit included never installed factory hoses all the factory parts how does ray find all these things how does ray find him they find him people give him calls say hey i got this jeep are you interested in it ray always is it's always got great full-size jeep parts even though his main business there's all kinds of other smaller jeeps he's got m715s he's got j-10s got a j20 plow truck and a grand wagoneer everything from parts trucks to full-on restorations boy this one's beautiful this one's destined to have the golden eagle graphics what a beauty well that's it that's it from dr bob's last chance garage over here with uh jeeps unlimited just a factory aluminum topper sitting on this parts truck what a beauty all right these are not facing their last lease on life these are going to be reused recycled and already putting some on my truck all right well that's it for now just a quick update quick tour of some full-size jeeps thank you very much for watching see you later
