[Music] it's the Friday night brought to you with there again The Last Friday Night of the season the last Friday night with eding get with Jen klopp all the hits you know what it is we're ticking them off uh and this is another one um today and how you feeling all about it come H we went to an event last night said goodbye to the coaching staff which was bit more emotional I would know what to expect to be honest with you it was organized by Hotel anfield there's a group of people in in there just to sort of say their thanks and and it was a boss it was a reminder how much Liverpool has meant to them and you know we we know how much Liverpool means to us but for jgen for his coaching staff it's obviously become a huge part of their life as well and yeah it's going to be emotional one on Sunday for those an them yeah well I mean like a little spoiler at the end when he did You'll Never Walk Alone think that game is a little bit of a thing it's going to be like on Sunday and even that was emotional last night 100 people in so God what Sun's going to be like but yeah it was like you just see like the more human side like you normally see like the odds press conference in preseason if you guys are doing something but yesterday that was like full interviews with them all that wasn't itage hasn't s away for years he's [ __ ] hilarious like you know me you all meant to have like a minute or two each and he has about five or 10 minutes he went I'm not doing 60 seconds and I thought he was going to say I'll do 15 but he was like he it was the other way he was the best man spe he was working the there was loads of people there who Lenny's lad to get out we've all been on the same Journey there was like lad from the match you know like all different organ big game loads of L on yeah that was that was the the best bit to be honest what he went to L on yeah but no it was dead good and it was just as you said like just seeing like you could see how appreciated the day allware of us and you know it's I think it was going to be really emotional like they were all up at the end singing and stuff and they had to drink or n and it just shows the passion doesn't it and yeah just one last big one on Sunday now yeah we just been with Pepin there's Johnny for something that's going out personal friend well yeah I mean he was by the end wasn't he invited us over to to watch the team and the new team and all that and you know for him he's been here 10 years and so it's it isn't just Jen you know he's he was here before Jen obviously sort of left it a little bit comeb back but for these people Liverpool is a huge amount of their their lives and Jen for everything he's done I think you'll see Liverpool as as The Pinacle you know whatever sort to happen next yearly not just in terms of what he achieved obviously becomes European a world champion for Liverpool but but how it shaped him and and how it shaped all of these coaches as people yeah I think Liverpool's got we think we're the best city in the and all that kind of stuff but like we seem to leave an indelible like like Mark on Rafa Rafa stayed here I mean his wife his wife stayed here all this time and like Fu loves the Widow loves Whitt and watches yeah like Alonzo Alonzo at his at his family hands you know what I mean I just think um it's a it's a place where we're often underestimated but like when people actually come and come and visit they're Blown Away by it and I think 10 years of your life anywhere is is a massive massive massive part of it like I was commenting this morning we saw the um Joel massip announcement and I know it's not a big surprise to anyone of Joel massip but I got me in the fields a little bit like he's a big part of of our success and then obviously thiago's also done done his uh done his announcement today think about like institutionally the number of people who are leaving this summer it it is it's going to be a very very emotional Day on Sunday and like I'm sure they'll take a big part of us with them and what like whatever um whatever they all do next they'll have learned so much about about the time in Liverpool and I think they've I get the impression that're all going to want to come back on a on a on a regular basis and we should be really proud of that because I think the whole the whole J Club thing has been not about what he does or about what the team does it's what we all do together and that's that his thing isn't it like he's influenced those he's influenced the players and we've all we've all achieved all this stuff together and he's made us feel as though we've had a role to play in a way that I don't think any managers really successfully done since shankley like really really made us feel as though this is you you you you've got a role to play in this and like I think it is going to be a really really emotional day and like I'm I'm not quite ready to be excited about what comes next I'm probably still a bit in the nervous anticipation about what what could what could happen next I'm still it still feels a bit risky cuz we've had the best for such a long time we've been the best in my adult lifetime we've had over the last 10 years and whatever comes next is going to is going to feel like a bit of a risk but um so yeah I I I I know I know already me lip went in this in in meeting pack today we had a conversation I just got a little bit emotional for about 30 seconds I could feel me lip quiver it uh listening to him so God knows what Sunday's going to be like togetherness is the key word isn't it and that's what jumped out from what Johnny was saying there and what that's what jumped out of me from from these events that we've been lucky enough to sort a be and and last night they they come all coaches come last night to say thank you to us and we obviously wanted to say thank you to them but they were there because you know they believed in you know the power of togetherness and they want to say thanks because what Jen's instilled and what is obviously you know there with the coaching staff as well and that's why he's got them it's no coincidence you know he's got people who who who you know don't think exactly like him because what would be the point but you know but but have the same sorts of values of sort of together us and what we achiev together and that's what they all believe is We've Come Together and it's been magical and what we've achieved all of us is in the history books yeah massively I think um that's the that's the thing that uran sort of realized that he could harness you know the idea of um us all as a collective the idea that Li one of Liverpool's strengths is it's it's fan base when everyone's together and everyone's singing from the same him sheet and um I think what's been really interesting about this entire time and and and John sort of alluded to it in terms of making us feel part of it all making us feel as if like like we've made an impact on the end result like we impacted Barcelona in a way that I don't believe Barcelona happens in the co season as an example you know and so you you feel as if you like you you you're able to to impact what happens and impact the trophies and the winds and the so on but I actually like the the event last night sort of made me realize the importance of the Cog all of the cogs in the machine and that isn't just the players the manager and the fans as I sort of always thought it to be it's actually all of these pieces and and people in the background that it's more complicated than a Holy Trinity yeah yeah and and uran is uran is um a different times talked about and and looked for little 2% increases little 5% increases because the margins are so tight and what we're up against is so vast and big and such a big challenge to sort of overcome um you know 115 of them is what we're up against but um you know with those two% can really make a difference and someone like pep linders for instance has 100% made a difference to Liverpool John akerberg you know seeing him last night hearing him talk about you know what this club has meant to meant to be a good P yeah would would go for a P with him like his stories were incredible last night but he more than a goke coach yeah exactly massively and and so these are Big personalities these are these are really intelligent people and these are people that have really made their the the imprint this football club so that was sort of a realization last night it's not the Holy Trinity it's the holy uh [ __ ] there's loads of them need to work that one M yeah nice little bit more on Sunday in minut we're going to take a little break H here's a message from IG and then we'll be back talking about what we want to see on and off pitch on Sunday and earing up please [Music] [Applause] [Music] stop don't forget the best [Music] bit nice one uh we're back with the a with Mar Bo if I didn't say that we're downstairs in Mar Bo it's it's a brilliant po I think it might be the oldest of Liverpool if not it's it's certainly sort of running close fantastic um space vibrant stairs at the moment everyone looking forward to what should be a boss weekend in the city can we just had a a friend join us from LFC rally over there K there's loads of people coming I a guy from Singapore coming see us this morning who was like basically my hotels he would say my hotel is every nationality in the world all year for Liverpool and it's boss isn't it yeah it's h everyone's going to see what exactly the city's about to be honest boss weather all weekends and to be honest all the time yeah yeah def house yeah Sunday going to be one of them where everyone says I can't imagine where we have like you know if like the League's not r on last day like what's going to be like on clubs last day sort of thing and that's where it is it's suy at home there's nothing riding on it we obviously wish we do something riding on it but in a way there's no pressure there's nothing on the game now we just focus on that and yeah that's just like everything around on the ground is going to be amazing it's going to be a boss yeah a few people have said to me Johnny from different places always was it worth coming up to Liverpool to the day and I've just said yeah do you know what I mean cuz like you won't you know the chances of you're getting it a tiny to be honest with you a close to zero if you've not got one at the moment but you never know you know you put yourself in the raffle but just a sort of be man I'm looking forward to to the whole day really I'm looking forward to getting out nice and early having a few beers you know seeing people a big game a l on late last night yeah I like I like the way CS put it there they kind of I think there's a lot of pressure on Sunday and know emotional pressure for all of us and the fact if we you multiply that by 3,000 if you go for a league title and it's and maybe we're in Arsenal situation this weekend I don't think I think we'd combust really would it would be lovely for that to be given that to be given that challenge but um I do like the last day of the season I do I do like the um it feels like end the ter you you're finishing at school and like saying goodbye to everybody and and all the rest of it I think um the the emotion the emotion I think the emotions will be really really high but I think we've got the mood's gone from like I think a bit of grief to kind of a lot of gratitude and I think I think the way that kops handled coms in the LA in the last week or so some of the interviews he's done not least of all the one he did with you you guys he kind of he made me feel okay with it in in a way that I hadn't really been okay with it for a while really and I think everything he said about his own personal circumstances of AD him not knowing what he's going to do next about he'd like to know what it's like to have a few days off and and just enjoy The Spoils of his career he's he's a very very wealthy man but he he doesn't really get the opportunity to to to benefit from it so all that stuff I think it's really really nice and I'm just I'm really I'm pleased for him you know I mean I think his next 12 months whatever he does he's going to he's going to have a ball isn't he and like you you pleased for him sad for us pleased for him we just got to I know as I say I'm still I could do with another week between between now and Sunday I'm not sure I'm quite ready for Sunday to come around I think you ever will feel like exactly you just won another week after that yeah you're never you're never never ready for it but like don't know as I say as the um as the customary old person in the room it's kind of everyone had a meltdown when Kevin Keegan left and we got Kenny me and we there's always Liverpool is one of those clubs that I mean where something something good comes around the corner we're never as far away as we think from success we're leaving even if we even if we don't win tomorrow we given him a team that's got 79 points on the board loads of young players like again referencing the the chat we just have with pep linders the thing he's one of the things he's most proud of today is the team that we put out against Man City at home six four sorry four Academy players four Academy players and none of them looked out of place I mean we should have beat Man City really with with that team and so we're in really really good shape we've got Champions League money we should have a bit of Doubt to spend we just just hired a massive recruitment team they've not brought them in not to spend some D I would imagine this summer so um not coming to P defense imagine they all sat around with the spreadsheet oh n there's no doubt I just like on what you said that I just um like I'm not at this stage I just feel so lucky that we've that we've been able to experience this and live this and and everyone lives it in their own different ways um but we've been able to um watch and enjoy some of the best teams this this club have ever seen you know we've got to watch and enjoy some of the best players breaking records um in terms of points totals and in terms of goals scored and um and and we've got to watch fo ball miracles in a weekly basis season after season and I think I think all of this won't really sort of set you won't it won't feel real and it won't feel as sort of uh what's the word like um it won't sink in basically until years down the line when we look back and we go [ __ ] hell what a ride that was what Journey like what those moments that we enjoyed The Comebacks the [ __ ] you know the the the goals the the trophies the trips to Wembley the European trips the adventures the comp you know just everything about it has been magical in a way that I didn't ever think I'd get to experience as Liverpool I think that's why Sunday is going to have to be it'll be that special where you just remember all of the memories we've all made all the journeys all the friends You' made and it just be one hopefully just one big party that's a massive part of is is the talk about the relationships talks about collecting moments and collecting relationships for you Someone Like You cam you've probably gone from a lad going with your dad or I don't know your s situation to having this K mat andly going on the adventure together you've almost like gone from boy to man under the first picture sent you klopp it spares away and it's me me m i mean l I'm okay both few me a lot less here but like I was finishing uni when he first come in so I've literally had just be whole end of teenage and then early adult life it's just been amazing could sit here for a lot longer same for my own personal you know many many many football fans will never have sort of come close to to experiencing some ofy bastards funny thing that like you said there about all the trophies W the goals we won some of the journeys we went on where we didn't actually end in a trophy like the K was just Absolut the run to K was the most exciting times of my life you know what I mean like don't need to bring bring up blue Brethren but they've never had the time like that like in the last 30 years theyve not even got close to like when we didn't win something do what I mean it's just it's a been a brilliant it's been a brilliant period and there's no reason why it has to end I'm I'm I'm convinced that like it might be different it might be different but it doesn't have to be necessarily Better or Worse it'll just be different so I'm going to ask you apart from like the obvious hits don't say FU from Barcelona what's like we would we were talking about it before and we did again the show with pepers we've been trailing this a lot it's not out for a couple of weeks don't get to excited but his boss but we talking about City in the FA Cup semifinal and I was just like honestly that's one of the best days I've had not just on the but generally so what's one for you do when you you are doing the memories to maybe like doesn't have to be like dead random or obscure but what's one that jumps out for you where you like you know what that was a boss day following Liverpool you know what the most reasons that car Cup Final with all the kids honestly got that was just I've never been so proud I've been a lip fan like obious dis all the obvious ones that and then put me on a pressure really but Johnny DM DM own yeah that was I mean DM own was incredible you got one the S of jumps out here like Barcelona's the the OB the obvious one isn't it but I I just I just think like I've said this a few times that like the miracle one of the biggest miracles for me was that we got clo because if if you think about where where we were like N9 years ago it's funny my phone's like reminding me like jards last game was like 9 years ago yesterday or today basically and um we that was kind of if if you remember it was the end of Rogers wasn't it and like there was quite a few people who would who would have been happy to see the back of him after the the the the Stoke game and then in October if they sacked Rogers they sacked Rogers after the Stoke game we wouldn't have got J CL was just it was just starting a stic wasn't and he said then he needed a break and it was only by the fact that we P maybe maybe we knew the clock might be open to it more now you know about how the club works and stuff you think yeah probably but like of all the places in the world klopp could have because man united would have taken there's plent the interview for Man United and he there's plenty of places more walls I think said like SCS he said he said they the worst [ __ ] enemies he spent a lot of time in J but um so the fact that like the timing worked out the way that the timing worked and and the club were able to get him at a time when we were AR our our kind of our star was very much on the way wasn't it we were we were losing good players like staring are gone had n Tino was still there but he he was angling to move we lost Suarez Gerard had just retired like the team was not the squad wasn't in great shape yeah the fact that we got him and we we've been on this journey he he's the miracle for me yeah it's been a miraculous time it's been a wonderful time we'll celebrate it I the weekend we'll raise a few air dingers and I'm sure there'll be a few tear as well but how lucky we are some life you lad up there heads [Music]
