Oddly, I watched this a day before you posted it.

We must have comparable algorhythms.

You getting warm DW?

Some advice, in case you might need it, from my years of working outside in the Texas heat.

Stay Wet. Keep your hair wet. Take your Shirt and soak it in water, wring it out, and put it back on ..... that lowers your core temp.

cards maybe yeah might be we'll get we're here now we're here now okay so first time in almost four years i'm back at chicago music exchange so uh we're here for a few hours and i may or may not be on the hunt for a new les paul so we're gonna see what they've got if anything and uh hopefully play some cool vintage pieces of gear [Music] nathaniel murphy [Music] all right so i'm kind of on the hunt for les paul a really good one you know i don't actually know where you can get one no idea okay great have you played many of these over here uh you know i've played quite a few of them not all of them obviously and obviously there's some great ones in there one of my particular favorites is the one second in from the left yeah right i mean there's so many even like down here in the bottom of the bottom two in from the left as well yeah okay it's kind of hard to go wrong really i've never seen one like that well yeah well so this would be i guess norlin era right because it's a 76 yes they were doing the three-piece bodies that's cool i absolutely yeah this this one looks unbelievable that's nuts i don't think i am in love with this guitar right now p90s yeah yeah we'll try this one uh a 59 reissue not a murphy life it's 59. okay wow the top on that i love that okay and then this is a 58 58 murphy lab so you got the plane top versus that nice beautiful flame left or right all right like some of the finishes i mean gorgeous i know man that like sort of green burst awesome [Music] and you were saying that one yeah i mean might as well we're here you know you're rude not to right yeah you ever seen someone drop a les paul before no but that's why i'm rolling so i can get it on yeah that'll make a great thumbnail [Music] yeah is this this is uh you know this is one of my favorite amps in the shop you know i try not to use the same amp you know twice in all but this this is one of my favorites cool let's use it yeah yeah yeah it's the bowels of chicago music exchange yes um because obviously i was a football coach yeah right but now this is this is all i do cool little room yeah i definitely recognize the space yeah [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so [Music] oh [Music] [Music] wow yeah that's pretty good that is not not bad yeah this is what you recommended right yeah but i remember i enjoyed it yeah the fretboard on that is [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] articulate [Music] [Music] that i mean that's the sound right there [Music] how much is this one is that the one yeah it's also the most expensive one [Laughter] natural if you like to properly evaluate a guitar you have to hear someone else play it you know i didn't say i was gonna play well okay i just want to hear the guitar you know so [Music] hmm [Music] so [Music] [Music] so [Music] yeah who's buying this you want me [Music] i don't know man michael you want to play it oh [Music] [Music] hmm oh man it's got that i don't know man there's like i feel like the best guitars have this like this attack and brightness to them that doesn't ever get harsh yeah it's just articulation or something to it i'm the wrong way one probably does but yeah so this was so seeing me got it at a show and uh they brought it back and it was like oh we've got an acoustic b bender okay what because i've seen trey hensley playing yeah he's got a he's got one and he's obviously trey hensley is amazing right so they were intending on selling this but thankfully uh they changed their mind because this is too cool to sell right you know you may never see one of these again and it is installed by gene parsons it's kind of hard to see it is in there somewhere you got to catch the light light quite well um so the guitar i think it's 64 uh dub and then he installed in 1995. oh wow okay now as to the rest of the history of it we don't know you know but it is it's a lot of fun oh why did you do that yeah i'll do that again [Music] [Applause] do [Music] it's a lot of fun but um i mean you can obviously do different things maybe maybe did i country up the beatles a little too much i don't know but um but it's funny you know i'd always wanted to do an arrangement like cashmere yeah i could never do you know a justifiable one on a regular sixth string but this kind of helped out now obviously i i do like for arrangement catchment you kind of have to have a little bit of the percussion yeah but i always i try and keep this in your just base right yeah right but it is fun to try and do it but the b bender helped with the with the melody is the only way i could you know kind of do it so [Music] i'm bound to mess up [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] so [Music] do [Music] i'm not going to do the whole the cash maybe you'll be here you need to sit down after five minutes it's a lot of fun this guitar that's amazing thank you you see the thing with this so again this isn't for sale but we always want people such as yourself and anyone to you know come in and check it out because it's such a rare find yeah i've never seen one and um again it's that for me me personally anyway the creativity that it forces you to play a different way yeah i mean i could see when you were playing it there like you know doing the math in my head things start going off and it's it's a refreshing thing i think yeah because it's like oh i have to you know the possibilities are now changing right there's there's different things that can be done um oh yeah it's a very cool guitar you are such a badass like now michael's actually a pedal steel player oh well yeah i made a fool of myself no no no i i i tell everybody i just fake it take it do my best job of faking me straight away you'll get like ideas can come out straight away [Music] i feel like the math you were doing in your head like that's how it is when i sit down on the pedal steel like even after like 10 or 15 years of how many i'm like yeah you're just thinking about like yeah intervals and yeah exactly does this make sense to do versus you know like you'd be surprised how quick [Applause] but now it's like adding another another mechanic to think about it's like yeah exactly yeah it's like because you have to get used to moving the guitar to [Music] oh yeah right yeah right that's kind of weird [Music] it's so much fun oh dude that yeah that's [Music] [Music] laughs [Music] dude that's crazy that's super cool yeah that is super fun
