RARE Dagger Restoration - HOLY GRAIL from World War 1

The blade is slightly loose The blade is in exceptional good condition I use aluminum silicate for blasting this time And my air pressure is set to 105 PSI / 7 bar This knife blade needs sandblasting I need to make a reinforcement on the shaft And repair the hole in the knife blade I mill it down to 6 mm in diameter So I can tap a M6 thread This section is very worn out and weak So I am going to place the reinforcement here With the new reinforcement the knife is stronger I also need to fix this crack in the blade I will use TIG welding to have more control The crack on the knife blade is now repaired It is time to harden the knife I use linseed oil as my coolant I heat the oil to around 80 °C Then I dip it in the oil So fare so good Now I will take care of this beautiful handle I will repair the hole with solder But first It needs thorough cleaning Without proper cleaning the solder will not stick Yes - I used to work as a dentist Adding flux I think that this repair turned out well Grinding the blade to so it will look better DO NOT FORGET TO BE AWESOME PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL Or support my channel with SUPER THANKS below the video Thank you for your support ❤️ Sharpening the knife
