[Music] hey what's going on everybody it's ETA Prime back here again today we're going to be taking a look at a brand new Mini gaming PC to Market known as the G2 Edge Ultra now about 2 months ago it might have been a month ago I took a look at the G2 which actually packed an RTX 3050 but as you know these Mini PC manufacturers keep up in the performance while keeping that form factor nice and Tiny and with this one here we've got an Nvidia RTX 30 7 and this thing is definitely a Powerhouse I picked this one up on AliExpress but you can find them all over the place from eBay to Amazon and you're going to see a bunch of different CPU combinations most of them that you see will have the RTX 3050 and I'll tell you I mean that's a pretty good performer but I was looking for a little more GPU performance and I think I found it with this one obviously we've got a funky form factor here personally I do like the design we've got that RGB on the front I think it does look pretty good uh some people aren't into this I've also seen some of these and a black variant there's pictures of white ones on AliExpress but I think they only have black and silver right now inside of the box with the ultra we've got our stand this is going to mount right to the bottom with four included screws it also supports a 2.5 in Drive internally so they do send you all the cabling and mounting hardware you need and with this we have a 230 W power supply basically one orientation we can set this up in and that's vertically with the stand I mean you could lay it on its side but uh it's kind of going to be a little opop exited pretty decent selection of IO but unfortunately that USB type-c port isn't Thunderbolt it's only USB type-c 3.2 so it will do video out but it would have been nice to see Thunderbolt 4 or at least Thunderbolt 3 on this Mini PC now when it comes to I/O up front we've got two USB 2.0 ports and moving around back from the top to the bottom we've got our line in line out gigabit Ethernet four USP 3.0 ports two fullsize HDMI 2.0 ports so we can do 4K 60 out obviously that USB type-c and our power n and of course it wouldn't be a gaming PC without a little bit of RGB on the front I kind of like it it's nonadjustable but we can unplug it if you're not into this RGB and there's actually another line header inside of it so you could add another strip somewhere on the unit if you wanted to and taking a look at the internals this actually supports two m.2 ssds we can do one pcie3.0 m.2 and one nvme drive dual Channel sodm DD R4 RAM and you can pick this up Bare Bones if you want to but I added 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB m.2 SSD cooling is going to be handled by their dual fan setup and it's actually a pretty beefy copper heat sink all of the air is going to be pulled in from the top of the unit and exhausted out of the bottom moving over to the specs for the CPU on this thing we've got the Intel Core i7 11 800h now I have seen some 12th gen versions of this but I picked up the 11th gen because it was a bit cheaper we've got eight cores 16 threads up to 4.4 GHz and of course the thing that makes this a real mini gaming PC is the GPU we've got an Nvidia RTX 370 now this is a laptop variant but it's the 125 watt part I've seen some of the 370 laptop variants top out of 80 but we've kind of got that full power at least when it comes to the mobile version of the RTX 370 and with that we've got 8 GB of gddr6 and this PC will support up to 64 GB of ddr4 RAM we've got two m.2 ssds plus a 2.5 in SSD that we can add in here Wi-Fi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 and I'm going to be running Windows 11 Pro for all of my testing all right so far so good this thing's really quick and you know it would have been nice to have a 12th gen Intel CPU here but uh that 11th definitely works and with the TDP that this is set at from the factory I mean we're getting kind of full power out of that thing and you know I've tested this CPU in other mini PCS in the past without a dedicated G CPU and they're usually set at around 65 Watts we could always use a third party application to kind of get that up there or even use Intel tuning utility but I haven't installed anything I haven't messed around with the BIOS and uh if I run this stress test with a CPU this jumps up to 84 Watts so we can send plenty of power to all eight cores there and get those maximum clocks of 4.4 while gaming CPU temps also look pretty decent it's getting a little louder than I'd like it to be but it's not screaming like a jet engine or anything like that so the first thing I wanted to do was show off a few benchmarks and here we have geekbench 5 single core 1540 multi 9304 I did try geekbench 6 and it would get halfway through and the application would crash I tried to reinstall it and everything like that not sure if they're dealing with issues with the newest update or not checking out some GPU benchmarks with 3D Mark fire strike coming in strong with a 2,877 since we've got an RTX card I figured i' go ahead and run this rage tracing Port Royal Benchmark 6,18 and finally time spy with a very impressive 10,26 so we're far beyond integrated graphics and obviously we would be we're behind the uh desktop variant of the RTX 370 but given the form factor here these synthetic benchmarks are looking absolutely amazing but this doesn't tell the whole story because we really need to get into some gaming and the first game we have here is cyberpunk 27 27 1440p Ultra preset and dlss is set to balance we're getting an average of 96 FPS out of this game this is looking really good and if you're not into dlss or any kind of resolution scale you can totally disable it and just take the settings down to high and you can get an average of around 75 FPS next up we've got Horizon zero Dawn and I had to take a double check just to make sure that I was uh looking at everything correct but yeah I mean we're at 1440p ultra settings with dlss set to balance we're actually getting an average of 102 fps to tell you the truth we don't even need dlss enabled here at 1440p Ultra with this game you can get an average of around 68 FPS with none of that turned on so far with the newer AAA games 1440p is looking great but with the older stuff like GTA 5 you can go to 4K and Max this out out and get an average over 100 FPS and it is a bit all over the place I've actually seen it jump up to 140 but on average we're at 108 4K very high with GTA 5 and again I know it's an older one but it's still really awesome to play it at 4k on this Mini PC same thing with doom Eternal just a very well optimized game I mean this works great on a lot of different systems messing around with the settings is really fun with this one 94 FPS and that's really when we get into battle here when there's a lot going on it does drop down into the '90s but it's more than playable we can go up to nightmare with it but remember we've only got 8 GB of vram moving over to Elden ring 1440p maximum settings this will give us a constant 60 FPS now I did try this at 4K and it's right there on the edge I saw it dip down to around 52 every once in a while so taking a few of those settings from Maximum to high will enable you to play this at 4K and the final game I wanted to test here before we move over to some high-end emulation was the brand new Last of Us Part One PC Port lots of issues when it first released but they are slowly fixing everything 1440p medium with dlss set to Balan we're getting an average of 76 FPS I was really hoping for a little more out of it but I mean at 1440p medium it still looks like a very beautiful game and it's fully playable on this system so obviously this thing's putting out some great performance for newer and older AAA games but the next thing I wanted to move over to was some high-end emulation we're going to go 4K with everything we test here and first up we've got PS3 using rpcs3 4K Vulcan backend Skate 3 if you do any kind of emulation you know how hard this one can be on the CPU not a problem with this system eight cores 16 threads and if you take a look at After Burner the CPU is pulling around 68 Watts this is just one of those games that loves those extra cores and threads and it can really take advantage of them checking out some Wii U emulation and this is another one that's going to run really well at 4K any game that's out right now that's compatible with the simu emulator is going to run at full speed even breath of the wild here we have Bayonetta 2 at 4K Vulcan backend continuous 60fps and it looks absolutely amazing the GPU we have here the RTX 3070 really does help out with upscaling these games we could actually go over 4K with Wii U Xbox 360 is another one I always like to test and I wanted to go with a harder to emulate game so we've got Red Dead Redemption I've got vsync off with the Zenia Canary emulator and uh we're over 60 FPS this is one of those that's really hard on the CPU but we've got plenty of Power with that 11 800h another one I tested with this emulator was Forza 2 and we can get about going into this Mini PC was actually the included power supply it's coming in at 230 watts and I was concerned we might go over that but uh you know measuring the power consumption from the wall using a kilowatt meter while gaming at idle this is pulling 32 watts average gaming 181 it's definitely up there but we've got that RTX 37 and the maximum that I was able to get this to pull from the wall in my extreme test was 221 Watts it's getting close to the Limit you know doing an extreme test like that but under everyday normal use and 1440p gaming the included power supply is going to work out just fine so we've got a really impressive mini gaming PC here but one thing you got to keep in mind is this is using a laptop GPU and a laptop or a mobile CPU so you know if you can find a laptop for a similar price with similar specs then you can always go with that and you've got a battery and Screen included with it but that's going to wrap it up for this one let me know your thoughts in the comments below I mean what do you think about the design personally I do like the way it looks uh some people might not be into this I'm not a huge fan of RGB but we've got that just a little bit on the front which I think kind of sets the whole unit off if you're interested in getting your hands on one of these I picked mine up on AliExpress I'll leave some links in the description but make sure you choose the right components at checkout you can make these pretty cheap with the i5 and a 3050 but going up to the 3070 does make it a bit more and if there's anything else you want to see running on the G2 Edge Ultra just let me know down below but that's it for this one like always thanks for watching
