Is This BeamNG Car Mod As Bad As Everyone Says?

hey guys how's it going my name is Neil and welcome back to BeamNG Drive in today's episode we're going to be checking out a mod that aims to bring the VW Golf MK3 into BeamNG Drive in a lore friendly way uh basically just by changing the name anyway here it is right here this thing is actually uh pretty sick looking now uh this this mod doesn't have the best reputation uh the reviews are kind of mixed on this thing but I do want to mention this thing is being worked on and uh since it's been released it has had four updates uh so just know it might get better than what you see here but I want to give it a good honest try and uh see if I can have fun with this thing which I think we're going to I love these cars man anyway the one I have spawned up right now this is the aw goal by the way that's what he uh chose to name it the one I have spawned up right now is the 1.8 G which features an electric sunroof power steering and it's supposed to look like a GTI from a distance so the pork is conflicts it under Fire dude what yeah not sure what that means anyway let's get this bad boy out on the road we got the iconic seats I kind of like them to be honest this is a very quiet car I was expecting like some big room vrooms but uh not so much at least on this version we're gonna get some air here let's see how the suspension holds up looking good so far come on baby we're gonna lose the bumper no we're not all right so now is as good a time as they need to test the crash model here so let's do that uh right now oh there goes the engine just kind of fell flat out the front of the car does she still run though no she doesn't uh unfortunately hold on let's spawn up right here maybe that was a little too extreme uh but let's just try like a normal-ish kind of car crash here let's find some very unlucky citizen here to just have a little bit of a smash there we go honestly it's not that bad not as bad as I was expecting at least uh when you read the reviews oh thanks we exchanged insurance information the reviews you would think this thing was absolutely terrible maybe it was but it's honestly not too bad at the moment all right so let's see what else we got here we got the the police car uh I'm thinking more like ball cop uh to be honest here we got the beater version of course uh the aggro tuning now this this looks very familiar right let's go right down to the bottom with a Slavic racing oh no it's got the Adidas stripe extreme racing toy uh Choice incredible top speed now I believe this is uh based off a YouTuber's vehicle so you know it's gonna be good we'll see how fast it actually is though it's pretty quick not gonna lie honestly this car is pretty fun to drive it handles pretty darn well I actually am really digging this thus far this thing's pretty cool man oh I meant to do that we're fine we're fine I love the stripe on this thing absolutely hideous but how could you not like it man excuse me yeah this thing handles like an absolute dream man I mean I know it's a very small compact car whoa but honestly I'm pretty happy with it and we already messed up it still handles pretty darn well let's send it over this jump right here [Music] exactly are we on fire that light coming from I don't know I thought we were on fire for a second not exactly what I meant to do let's uh let's retry that because you know it's it's so fun to hit these things right here you can like send yourself into a corkscrew so let's go ahead and do that right now with the slav slav mobile I don't know what to call it anyway here we go the acceleration is pretty darn good on this oh no I mean we still sent it into a roll not as aggressive as I wanted to I think we kind of are a little too low to the ground but yeah where's that orange light coming from man makes no sense I don't know all right let's go to the very tippy top here what's the fastest version we have available gold 3D VR6 is a very special trim it has many uncommon features automatic air conditioning more electric gauges sporty AWD suspension and most importantly a custom built VR6 engine it produces many horsepowers torque and enjoyment Sounds by its owner a special car for special needs sign me the frick up man let's see what this thing can do I like it already look at the interior of this what do you call that lava I don't know very very interesting not sure if I'm a huge fan of the seats but as long as this thing's fast I don't care again handles very well can we get over 100 miles an hour one of these bad boys yes we can beautiful we can weave through traffic in it I am very happy boy right now okay okay we are definitely gonna crash because I don't I don't plan on using the brakes I don't plan on testing the brakes anytime soon 116 miles an hour let's go can we go faster than that come on give me give me at least a 120. I know you got it in yet oh okay we're okay okay lots of traffic lots of traffic can we make it into the yeah okay this is probably where we die right here I don't know if we're gonna be able to make this turn oh you know I guess I I guess that could have been worse but uh yeah that still hurts man can we open the doors yes we can beautiful do they shut well this seems to be a problem with a lot of car mods no no no you gotta slam it is it should I guess it is let's see what's under the hood shall we could release beautiful that works I'm pushing the button though do you have to open it yourself okay you do there's no Auto bags okay so there's where the orange lights coming from I guess I don't know it makes me think that something's on fire there's like no hinge at all oh beautiful I love it okay so that's we can add that to the list of things uh we could use you uh for this mod but honestly I don't it doesn't feel too janky to me I don't know I was expecting a lot more Jing but honestly it's it's not too bad man I'm having a lot of fun with this little mod let's do another quick crash test here at 111 miles an hour oh yeah man this is a tough little car I love it we're still running we do have some of those weird uh little spiky things that can happen so it's not the best crash model uh you're ever gonna see in this game but I would say I would say it's definitely serviceable if I had to use one word oh man okay that might have done Us in yeah all right so let's go to the worst of the worst the beat or lowest trim version 1.4 manual abandoned somewhere and left to disintegrates rats slept in it but it still runs okay sign me up I guess it's worth 500 buckaroons that is a steal man so a little sunburnt paint there we are missing the right Fender um but hey like I'm pretty sure there's no window in the back either but it's definitely rats in this car somewhere but like he said it still runs and we can get up to uh to highway speed so really if a car can get you from A to B it's worth it man it is a modern Marvel in my eyes it can get you from A to B in record time so yeah this is definitely worth 500 bucks what is this seat coaching sawdust yellow I don't know again probably not what I would pick oh but at least at least or I guess win you total it it's not it's not it's not gonna hurt the bank too much you know it's again 500 bucks all right so uh you guys know the deal let's take some of these trams to the car jump Arena and see which one can fly the farthest I'm just hoping we can get at least one over 200. I'm shooting High man all right so we're gonna start very low here with the beater uh I don't even know if this one's gonna crack the top of the hill to be completely honest again it it does it is a working vehicle uh just not quite sure if it'll get you get you where you're going very fast but uh it's worth the shot so here we go 140 miles an hour that's not bad at all actually that might just get us yeah that's gonna get us past the 200 on the worst one maybe I should aim for like the three 350 Mark with uh some of the faster versions here can we get into the pool though we did land upright but I think the sand is probably gonna stop us dead in our tracks unfortunately let's try like a mid-tier trim here how about the GT let's see what the actually you know let's go with the gentos I I kind of want to try the sedan one I don't know if I've tried one yet very clean indeed let's see how fast she can go I think we might break the 140 mark on this one I got a good feeling about the GT gento man here we go more speed 135 yes 140. 145. get us past the 300 it's gonna be close I think we're gonna be just shy about 290 and a bit of a rough Landing but we did get it Wrangle it back onto the tires here can we get to the pool it's looking good there we go and she skips across the top of the pool beautiful mostly in one piece as well and finally let's try out the goal 3D VR6 this is the the special one the big boy I'm expecting lots of things here can we hit 150 miles an hour it's looking very good 120 130 140 come on yes 154 miles an hour and okay we're gonna go it drug us down a little bit so we're getting around 250. unfortunately and we're gonna land on a roof uh oh not good come on get us there wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait oh we're so close no hold on I'll help you out buddy get in there oh wrong way wrong way hold on hold on we got it oh oh oh we got it we got it there you go into the pool you didn't make it to the deep end but hey you made it let's go ahead and reset right here so we can get a nice angle of the uh the goal 3D anyway guys this has been the aw goal or the MK3 VW Golf uh honestly I really really enjoyed this mod it is a little rough around the edges here and there but all in all I had a ton of fun I really like the way this thing drives man I don't know something about it is just so fun I feel like this would especially be fun on a actual wheel and the good part is he is updating this mod fairly regularly from what I can tell we've already seen four updates to this thing so you know maybe this will end up being one of the best of all time given enough time I don't know anyway if you guys want to try this mod out I'll have it linked down below as always it is completely free and while you're down in the description why don't you go ahead and hit that like button as well and subscribe if you haven't already and I'll talk to you guys in the next one see ya
