Nuclear power is likely if allowed, to reduce dramatically in costs. Also reserves like oil will go up.
Define green.
Wood by definition is the only "Green" fuel, you burn it, it's material is reintroduced into the environment, whereby tree's and organisms recycle it to grow more trees.
Fossil fuels, Nuclear and renewables ALL require land, materials and resources. It's a question of Which one uses least, in this case, Nuclear, is the least. Material requirements in Tonnage by energy source per Terawatt-hour.
In a carbon based reality only the trees are really "green". Fossil fuels releasing CO2 + H2O (food for nature) are very green but their combustion has residuals hard to manage. Therefore the SMR sort of nuclear power is the best available tech we have to mitigate the problems.
